This had better be the last antenatal thread for us all, so come on girls, get pushing!

We are getting very quiet on here aren't we?

This is the trouble with being due at the end of the month.

Or are you all off somewhere having babies without me?

Flamesparrow · 22/02/2006 12:04

I hurt all over. I'm sick of hurting all over. I have been having really bad back pain since last night, the braxton hicks have been a nightmare since the beginning of last week.

I'm tired.

I have pulled muscles all over the bump.

There could still be another 2 weeks of this...

Helen38 · 22/02/2006 12:10

Back pain could be promising flame.

We are a very grumbly bunch aren't we? Think we deserve to be, these babies should either come or wait, no more of this on off stuff.

Been to pick up from preschool, yet more people who didn't expect to see me this week Got ds at gym class this pm where I'll get more of the same, is getting hard to smile at people who say it, not their fault, they don't know it's the 25th time to day I've heard it today..... but they should

Flamesparrow · 22/02/2006 12:16

We've been saying my various pains are promising since last Monday... given up all hope of them meaning something now!

Helen38 · 22/02/2006 12:29

You are starting to sound like me flame, 3wks ago i thought there was no way it was staying in till anyway near due date, now I just think I am not able to go into labour by myself and never will, I'm grumpy and it's never coming out.

Jasnem · 22/02/2006 12:45

At least there are a few of us left to moan to...everywhere I go people want to tell me how much later their babies were. Why would I want to hear about that?

OP posts:
Helen38 · 22/02/2006 12:55

You have got more reason to complain you are over due at least if I am stil here in a week will not be chuffed and will be march and ds1's b'day, was hoping to have it before that.

Jasnem · 22/02/2006 13:04

If I'm still here in a week, I will bring a whole new level to the moaning!
I will have dp's father here by then, and be looking at another cs. Neither of which are what I want for a relaxing homecoming with a new baby!

DP has finally gone out, after spending all morning telling me about how he's going to make his new shed. He laid the base for it 2 1/2 years ago, and has just bought wood to make it now. Funnily enough, I'm not interested in the details - I just want it done, so all his tools can leave the house!

The dds emptied all their clothes out all over their bedroom last night (to sleep on them?), and I've just finished sorting them all out and putting them inthe right places.

I've lost my urine pot, so I'll just have to go without a sample today.

Back hurts, doesn't mean anything, it's never coming

How was midwife?

Flamesparrow · 22/02/2006 15:25

I've been dozing on the sofa for a while. Hurt even more now I've woken (Don't think a 2 seater sofa is designed for pregnant snoozing ).

DH is going out tonight It doesn't really matter if he is in or not, just feeling a bit abandoned... when he went last week I was convinced I'd be having to call him home again - not this time.

How was the appointment Jas??

Helen38 · 22/02/2006 15:59

Dh is working from home tomorrow so I'm not likely to get in here so no jumping to conclusions if you don't hear from me

Also got hospital appt early on friday and he has got day off to come with me as is a half hour drive and don't want to risk getting stuck there with him stuck here so we may do something as he's off, so again don't get carried away.

Hope for more baby news next time I check in

Wishing you all (well those small few who are left) lots of nice hurty pains and nice cuddly babies very soon

Chloe55 · 22/02/2006 16:06

Hi ladies,

Sorry I have been away so long, but I am still thinking about you all and hoping that things happen soon for those of you still left waiting. Have been busy busy busy as you can imagine what with baby, boobs, bums and bloody visitors! DH goes back to work on Friday but mum seems to think I still need company so has organised for my nan to spend all day with me arrrgghhhh!!! Then I have a full week of my mum which is very kind of her but I am just about ready to try and go it alone now.

Congratulations to Ixel and Popadopalis and anyone else I have missed on the thread but just having to scan midfeeds!

Good luck to everyone else xxxxxxxxx

Rhubarb · 22/02/2006 16:08

Congrats Chloe55! Heard your good news! How is little Oscar?

Flamesparrow · 22/02/2006 16:16

Ok. I quit. I'm not doing lumpy and hurty anymore.

There. That's told it exactly where I stand on the matter... now all it needs is to the co-operating thing.

Chloe55 · 22/02/2006 16:25

Thanks Rhubarb, Oscar is doing fantastically, we are over the baby blues (how is it possible to just cry for NO reason???) and enjoying motherhood considerably.

Not too much longer to go Flame, babies can't cook forever, I hope yours is nearly done

Flamesparrow · 22/02/2006 16:25

Think it would help if DH would stop turning me down for sex... not exactly the way to boost a girl's self esteem Already feeling housesized and horrible, without being unwanted too (not just been using my ultra sensitive seduction methods ).

Do I share too much?

Chloe55 · 22/02/2006 16:27

Ha ha not at all, I must admit I practically forced DH to have sex the night before I went into labour, he was very reluctant and I was past feeling emotional about feeling unwanted/unsexy

Frizbetheexpansionset · 22/02/2006 16:38

Jas how did you get on at hosp??

Right Flame, Helen, Jas, Thell, I reckon we all go into mass labour tonight, whaddya say? Thell has already had a show right, and the rest of us have backache, so that surely is enough to get these babies out particularly since I've been watching munz go into labour on her thread for most of the day and she's due a good week or so after me!

Flame, Helen the backache is a good sign, honest!

Chloe ta for checking in on us, we're a grumpy bunch at the mo, but hopefully for not much longer!

Well went to MW today, who wasn't usual one, so didn't get her to check if any dilation or not, after last weeks episode, she did say backache could be good sign tho, but also reminded me these 2nd etc ones, can be a right pain with the on, offs for weeks before hand.....but baby is fully down still, so there is a plus side....
On the downside they had to do my bloods again, as the last two lots have been unsuitable, argh! lets hope iron count is ok, as it might be too late by the time they get the results...pah!

Jasnem · 22/02/2006 17:42

So depressed by my hospital visit that I took the kids to the pub with DP after school! You should have seen me trying to play pool against a five year old!

I was examined, and have a perfaectly healthy baby, so I know I should be grateful...but my cervix is "thick and posterior" and he couldn't do a sweep. So not great
I've got an appointment for induction on 2nd Feb, so there is an end in sight. Csection probably on 3rd, if induction fails.

I am seriously considering the castor oil now.

OP posts:
Frizbetheexpansionset · 22/02/2006 18:38

oh no Jas, what a major bummer....really feel for you, so 2nd March it is then.....I guess at least you have a date in sight, not that, that's any consolation......have you tried every other method so far?!

Jasnem · 22/02/2006 18:42

No...I've been hoping that just moaning and walking alot will work
May well start suggesting sex, and am considering castor oil. Really don't like pineapple
Will keep trying the reflexology, as I enjoy it and its non invasive.
Did someone suggest lucozade? Fizzy drinks make me sick.
What else is there?

OP posts:
Frizbetheexpansionset · 22/02/2006 18:44

someone did suggest lucozade, but I drank a bottle after last weeks failed attempt at labour by my body and it did nothing......
Nipple tweeking, sex and hot food for you then hon X

Flamesparrow · 22/02/2006 18:51

Nipple tweaking only works if you do it for several hours apparantly

Still bloody uncomfortable... had a bath which eased my back a bit (it was a toss up between possibly slowing down labour, and stopping hurting - decided that I was always hurting with no result, so I might as well relax in a bath!)

Jas - I think my midwife appointment will be about as productive

Jasnem · 22/02/2006 19:01

Flame, if a bath works, would a hot water bottle help?

DD2 was 5 days late, and I'm only 4 days over so far, so I still have a small hope of a natural (and swift) delivery.
