Hi Everyone, I've been reading but I haven't had time to post. I have 3dd's and work full time. It is possible to get out of the house but I gave to get up early! Shall we do a list so we can all keep track of each other?

SpringFlowers (39) baby #4 EDD 19.01.13

Hope you don't mind me making a start Smile.

Has anyone else had lots of lower abdominal discomfort? It's not pain exactly but definatly sensation. I also feel queasy on and off. I don't usually until 6 weeks at least. I hope I'm not going to have terrible sickness. I'm also tired particularly as work in the afternoons.

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, the sun is finally shining!

Littlemissimpatient · 12/05/2012 06:34

Morning springflowers
Yeah I have had loads of cramps hope its a good sign. Only had nausea 1 morning but I've read it really starts at 6 wks so I have another wk to wait great
Only other symptom I have is complete exhaustion in the afternoon & evening which then means I am up at this stupid hour in the morning
Could someone add me to the list pls? I can't on phone!
No dc. Edd 10/1/12 I think.
Thanks

Lulabel27 · 12/05/2012 09:25

missy and bunty thinking of you I hope everything goes ok next week. Its still early days and I think these things are normal until everything settles down.

I'm still exhausted too. Keep yawning when i'm speaking to people and just don't have the energy to do things I wouldn't even think twice about normally. Hope this ends soon!

Hope people don't mind or are not superstitious etc but I've started the list as i have time on my hands and I can't stop thinking about pregnancy and this feels like a positive thing to do! For those who haven't said their EDD or don't know I've put you at the bottom. I'm sorry if i've got anything wrong please feel free to add or update your info!

Lula well done on the list.... Im 30 though.... :'(

Not sure if you all know but if you go to the Asda pharmacy and ask for the free 3 month trial folic acid they give a few other goodies to you aswell.

MarasmeAbsolu · 12/05/2012 17:29

Marking my place. MY EDD should be 6/01/13 with DC2
Quite weird, and maybe more stressful than last time in a lot of way (I know what is yet to come, and it was not all rosy last time ;) )
I remember crying quite a lot when I got my BFP with DD1, we were not in a great place financially or job-wise. All better now though.
I had zero symptoms last time round other than being totally whacked out, still fine this time but for tiredness and sore breasts...
I have GP appointment on Tuesday, not expecting much though (other than being casually dismissed until 12 week appointment)...

exiting times though! Just found out that one of my close friend is having a baby in October - very exiting. I wish I could just tell her :)

somethingwittynot · 12/05/2012 18:46

can i join please? just found out im pregnant with DC2 Grin am roughly due around the 18th of jan a week before DS birthday!

SpringFlowers · 12/05/2012 18:54

Wow, Lulu! Great work on the list! I hadn't realised there were so many of us.

I am four weeks and today tiredness has overwhelmed me this afternoon. Ooof. I feel quite sick too. This didn't happen with any of my previous pregnancies this early. Sometimes I seem to forget that I am pregnant and then remember and feel all excited again.

I added Marasme to the list:

AprilMeadow · 12/05/2012 19:50

Hello ladies,

I know this is baby #5 and my tummy muscles are non existent but the belly is ridiculous!! Mostly it's just cake, but since we started telling people it's like I can no longer hold it in!

I have a nauseous feeling that hangs around all day, but it is manageable so far. Just need to eat little and often.

I will be calling my d's surgery next week and booking an appt for w/c 28th May when I'll be around 9wks. I have started to get a little bit excited and have started making a let of names that we like. All our children have 4 letter names and it is starting to get quite hard to find new names that we like and haven't discounted previously. I think we are set on a girls name but its the boys that I am struggling with. I guess i have 14 wks to think of some though. I like to go to our 20wk scan knowing what the baby will be called. I have found it really helps the older children bond with the new baby and they get excited waiting for it to arrive.

Dh is off out tonight and i have a lovely date with my sofa, blanket and the telly box :)

Hope you are all having a good weekend and your little beans are all behaving x

I need some EDD help from you wise ones out there. DH and I managed to catch the first egg after I started ovulating again after DD1. How do I calculate the EDD? I can remember when we DTD Blush Grin but not sure when I ovulated and my LMP was in 2010! Shock

I agree with those who are eating little and often, I'm amazed at how often I'm getting the 'empty tummy' feeling. DH remembers that from my last pregnancy and blames it for his weight gain! Grin I also have a dreadful cough and am drinking honey and lemon. Any other pregnancy-friendly cough remedy recommendations?

Congratulations again to everyone!

Welcome to the newbies I can't believe how many people we have already - all very exciting! Thanks for updating the list tootie.

WRT to your edd Tootie I was told by gp that it's normally assumed that if you are irregular or have very long cycles you have an adjusted lmp date of 2 weeks prior to ovulation (or in your case of dtd!). So work put two weeks before and say that's your lmp and it should give you an idea of edd. Hope that's right and works?

somethingwittynot · 13/05/2012 10:12

after i had DS my body went to lovely bang on time 28 day cycles Grin dpes anyone have implantation cramps?

AngelFairy · 13/05/2012 13:03

Bunty ? sending you lost of positive thoughts for your scan hun, fingers crossed the spotting has stopped. I hope you?ve managed to get some rest this weekend.
Will wait to hear from you x

Missy ? Don?t be down about your scan, it was just too early to see through your unit?s technology, and all babies grow at different rates, so rest assured that your bfp is all you need to stay positive until the scan next week. After all, we?re all in the same boat x

Steth, I hear your thigh spreading concern and will raise you to thigh, bottom, and breast spreading? Oh and the desire to eat crap carbs when feeling sick ? just wrong. Congrats on your bfp x

Cosy, did they date you on what they couldn?t see or are they going to wait until Friday to do that correctly? Good luck for the next one x

Cogito & Crafty, I too took pictures of all my bfp tests, so if that?s worth a Blush I should be Blush Blush ha?

Birdies & Littlemiss, I?ve also found myself walking the nausea tightrope (what my dh calls it) ? a fine art of balance indeed, just dreadful when it surprises you outside of the balance, like when you?ve eaten a nice healthy lunch and you?re content enough to venture into a shop, wham, you?ve got to run outside Confused

Thanks for the list Lulabel, I?m 31yrs old, but won?t copy the list considering the size of this post already.

Congratulations to all the newcomers xxx

SpringFlowers · 13/05/2012 15:16

Tootie, I agree with Lulu. I know it's not very technical but you would probably need to estimate when you ovulated based on when you dtd and then take away fourteen days and take that as if it were your lmp. It will give you an idea but I would think you will have a dating scan soon enough.

April - I was massive with dd3. By the time I was eight weeks I was bursting out of all my clothes and I was just starving the entire time. I put on two and a half stone by the end.

I can't keep up and usually read/post on my phone. Who is having scans next week?

Feeling very sick at the moment. Yuk. I am a bit worried, I'm not usually sick this early and baby #4 turning out to be twins would be a bit of a life changing thing for us. Not that i'd mind Smile. Anyone else thinking they might be carrying two?

Littlemissimpatient · 13/05/2012 15:46

Does anyone need new bras yet? Mine are getting tight round the back but I feel it's too early to buy new ones!

AngelFairy · 13/05/2012 16:14

I'm popping out of clothes, as Spring describes, and probably well on the way to gaining a few lbs, but I also had to buy a maternity bra last wkend, as mine were poking out and unsupported Blush
Mothercare advised that at 6wks is ideal time to get your first bra and then get measured every 8wks (or less if required) x

I have my scan tomorrow, I'll be 6+6, so hoping to see a strong heart beat... Smile

sharedscitless · 13/05/2012 18:42

Anyone dizzy at all? I have moments when I go really light headed and the room spins, and I feel all sort of spaced out and 'not there' - it's pretty frightening.

Also anyone got cravings yet?! We had fish and chips for tea, and I just needed to have a massive dollop of mango chutney with mine Blush

Spring totally randomly, the day before I got my bfp, when I had no idea that I would, dc1 was talking to me out of the blue about pregnancy. And asking how non-id and id twins come about. And I'm really hoping it wasn't some kind of prophecy Shock

Lora1982 · 13/05/2012 18:57

Littlemiss i was having that problem i just bought some bra extenders for £2.50 from Matalan saves me pennies for when i REALLY need new bras!!

scaredscitless i did the whole dizzy head thing today i dont even think i stood up fast i think it must just be feeling tired crap sleep and having a cold:'(

MarasmeAbsolu · 13/05/2012 18:59

I shall never set a foot in mothercare again - last time round, their maternity bra selection left me pretty underwhelmed. Same for their nursing bras - I only came across the Elle McPherson range quite late, which was a relief.
I'll probably pop in jojo maman bebe, they have nice support brassiere type thingys which work quite well...
On a different note - last time, had no bump at all until 20weeks gone. This time, things do not bode well - my abs are shot and there is not much tone there. I am going to gym every now and then - any idea of what would be suitable to maintain the little tone remaining? is pilates still ok?
shared no dizziness, but hypoglycemia / light headedness comes round way faster than usual if I haven't eaten for a wee while.
As for twins... I would love it :) always been a dream of mine, although DP said that he would freak out if it is the case. No reason to fret though, it does not run in either of our families...

pmgkt · 13/05/2012 20:15

SPRING - i am feeling your thoughts re twins. Both me and my DH has non identical twins running back through our families as well as the odd set of identicals. I had no sickness, or sore boobs last time and this time i have had both.

Sharded - dizzyness is very weird, hope it doesnt last too long, it does make you feel a little like you dont know your own body.

Littlemiss- I have started wearing my bras from last time already, and feel like everyone must have noticed that they have suddenly got bigger, boobs and waist line!!!

good luck to those with scans and concerns this week - it is such a delicate time and its natural to feel worried, even when it's not first time round.

somethingwittynot · 13/05/2012 20:49

wow the symptoms have started to set in now! shooting pains through boobs and achey sore feeling weeing a bit more cramps and tierdness and headaches really.

am booking a drs appt on monday :)
