So I POAS and oh, wow, it's positive!
From my online calculating, that puts the due date at Jan 20th, ish, 2013.

This will be my second, DS is currently 20 months old.

I'm so exciiiiiiiiiiited and I can't tell anyone yet! Also, I am looking for a new job and we're talking about buying a house. Crazy, moi?

Morning eveyone and welcome to everyone who is new! The thread is growing a bit like my waist line.

Went to GP on Friday and he was lovely and said he was delighted which was nice. He's written to the hospital to refer me for a scan and he hopes i should hear from them in the next couple of weeks. He has put my due date as 31st December (!) but i don't agree with him as i have long and irregular cycles so will see what scan says....

Incaminka - I hope you're ok can you get to an EPU to get scanned?

Ladies I think I have found THE cure for morning sickness.... Starbucks skinny peach and raspberry muffin! It worked a treat

ok so Ive done my yearly spring clean... shouldnt have to do that again til two years after the babys here :-D The sickness im getting is making me feel like ive not eaten for days and its horrible. 7 weeks today wooo. Littlemiss your claim for a cure had me clicking on here straight away Ive found that cola helps me for some reason.

Another thought I had today is we are all lucky because we wont be the size of houses in the hot summer weeks (days) that we get so we wont be extra uncomfy. Morning everyone xxxxx

hello all

thanks for the messages about morning sickness. I puked non-stop all morning and now have watery diarrhoea, so I actually now think I probably have the D&V virus which my friend's little girl had a few days ago. I've been sick loads since this morning, and had to call in sick to work. How often would you be sick with ms and would you get diarrhoea? Also there's no way I could eat anything, I'm taking tiny sips of water.

I phoned the Dr's and they said not to worry, just rest and drink lots of water.

the mumsnet due date calculator says i'm due 23rd January

I'm very excited to be joining you having got a BFP on Saturday! I'm a bit stunned (but very happy!) as it's our first month of trying having stopped taking the pill and I kept giving myself a good talking to reminding myself that it could take quite a while when I started obsessively POAS too early to tell. Just call me eager.

I've been having cramps off and on but that seems pretty normal having done some reading up. I could Google for England... I'm not the only one am I?!?

Have made a doctors appointment and looking forward to getting the ball rolling to see the midwife and have our first scan!

Bleeding seems to have stopped for now and no cramps. Fingers crossed. Lula I'm booked in for an early scan on Saturday, if I'm mc-ing it will be obvious by then and if not is something to look forward to. :-)

Hi everyone, can I join you all? I'm due on 20th Jan, have a DS who is nearly 4. We have been trying for a good few months so am happy to be finally pregnant! I took norethisterone to delay a period last month so not sure if my dates are accurate, but am around 5 weeks by my estimation. Getting some nausea but otherwise feel fine.

nobhead incaminka good luck, if it helps I worked in gynae for a while and have seen many women who have had similar symptoms who have been fine, hopefully you will be too.

dontmindifido i totally agree, my husband is trying to ban me from smoked salmon now too! but don't think i'll be up to eating it for much longer once the nausea kicks in properly..

Can I join? I'm 33, 7 weeks +2, edd 5th Jan. 1st pregnancy. Been lurking for a couple of days but felt compelled to respond to CheapTarnishedGlitter. I spotted for a week before af due. Started off thinking it was implantation but went on for far too long. Had had the same on my last cycle and then af came so was expecting the same to happen. Assumed chemical pregnancy. But af didn't come on expected day last month so took a test (as usually like clockwork) and as you can see was pos! Dr examined me but could see no probs. said it was prob hormonal bleeding. Been very normal pregnancy since with all usual symptoms (including feeling sick as a dog!) so fingers crossed for scan. Try to stay positive

Cupcakes - oh no! I don't think I'd ever forget choccies!! I did try to zap the office door with my car keys the other day if that counts?

Cmini - thanks. It does help to know it's definitely the worst yet. Phoned doctor who said to take it easy, test again in a fortnight and if still BFP arrange to meet the midwife. Bit concerned that he didn't think it was worth phoning midwife yet but guess we just have to wait and see, and think very positive thoughts.

Will update stats when I'm on a proper computer rather than phone!

Don't feel as tired today and no sickness, but still a few twinges and major metallic taste in my mouth. Oh and my skin is still breaking out... I'm quite glad to have symptoms though because otherwise I'm not sure I'd believe I'm pregnant. Booking in appt not til 22nd June and scan 9th July which is AGES AWAY!

Have people told family etc yet? I am dying to but don't want to tempt fate... sounds daft I know.

Tugstonia - we have each told our Mums, but nobody else. They are sworn to secrecy. I'd love to tell others but will wait until the first scan, just in case. :)

My Stats are (35), Baby No2 due 8/1/2013 so Im roughly about 7 weeks. Not feeling too bad as long as I dont have an empty stomach!

Tugs we told a few people today but very close ones only everyone else can wait till the scan just to be safe booking appoint here is 19th June no date for scan yet

I'm not sure about when to tell, SIL has her first DC due about when I'd have my scan, so not sure if it might seem a bit 'thunder stealing' to announce and have all the attention just after she's given birth.... Have told my parents already, so might tell PIL soon too...

Hi cheeky monkey - I have a 22 month old, and there is times when I think how will this all work out, when he runs off or has a terrible twos moment!!

got my midwifes booking appointment tomorrow afternoon which will be interesting, I have the same midwife as for DS1, and she is nice enough. Still waiting for my scan date, although I think she has requested it already, but will check.

still umming and ahhing about paying for a private scan - what do you guys all think?
