Lora1982 · 14/05/2012 19:09

Cant believe Im this tired already. fell sleep at 5pm ffs!! no sickness yet think it will seem more real then... or when I go for the booking in appointment. 6 wks tomorrow and such a looonng way to go. My mum bought me some tops the other day-the kind that Ive lovingly started to call fat clothes. The only other change ive noticed is my BF being really tip toey round me and making me tea and dinner like the perfect slave... hes great... esp when he first found out he was like well Im not waiting on u hand and foot till u cant do anything. He cant help himself... bless :-D

SpringFlowers · 14/05/2012 19:45

Something witty - sorry, I've had an early mc. It still felt real and I was very sad. I hope things work out for you soon x

AngelFairy · 14/05/2012 20:02

So sorry something, I hope it stops Sad

Birdies · 15/05/2012 09:59

Bunty that's great news, you must be so relieved.

Something really sorry to hear that, hope you're ok.

And welcome to the new people and congrats!

Is anyone getting twinges? I'm getting them mostly at night, quite low down and first on one side of my stomach and then the other, and sometimes they wake me up (but they are very very brief twinges and not exactly painful). Almost feels like someone is grabbing a tube or something! Hmm but then I think it might actually be wind! Anyway, I think people have talked about cramps but wondered if anyone else is getting this. Thanks!

Ps for the next big update of the list, I'm 33

cogitosum · 15/05/2012 10:56

Somethingwitty I'm really sorry to hear that. Hope you're feeling ok.

Birdies yes I'm getting that. I've been a bit worried as I get it going to the toilet and heard that can be sign of ectopic but it's not painful so hopefully nothing too bad. I've booked a private scan on 26th and really hoping it'll put my mind at rest a bit. I've also had a sort of shooting sensation going up inside me (sorry tmi) but again not really painful

Incaminka · 15/05/2012 11:04

Somethingwitty - really sorry to hear that. Be kind to yourself.

Lora - that's funny, mine's the same! He's even started cooking - which I have mixed feelings about as I cook to relax, but he's not doing a bad job! I'm just enjoying it, he'll get tired of it soon!

I went to the doctor on Friday, but they haven't given my midwife appt until the 7th of june, when I'll be ten weeks. I went to the doctor at 5 weeks, asking for an early scan but as the midwife makes the scan appointment, I can't see that I'm going to get one before ten or twelve weeks at least. :-( I really wanted an early scan because I'm 42 and this will be my first and I had a m/c two years ago, and i just wanted to see if the little bean was ok in there... I heard you can hear a heartbeat from 6 weeks - is it worth buying a doppler?

BuntyCollocks · 15/05/2012 11:40

So sorry, something.

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes :)

Incamnika - you can't hear the heartbeat on a doppler until at least 12 weeks, and even then, it's very hit or miss. Most midwives won't even attempt until at lesat 16. I hired one from about 14 weeks last time and it was great, and once I was practised, I found the heartbeat usually quite quickly, obviously it got easier as they got bigger. But no, don't buy one to hear the heartbeat just now. They can only 'hear' it through using a setting at an ultrasound.

littlepinkfizz · 15/05/2012 13:11

Just got BFP yesterday but not hopeful really as have had 2 Mc before ds now 15 mths. Fingers toes and everything else crossed for everyone. Haven't even told Dh yet as am afraid it will end badly x

pmgkt · 15/05/2012 13:28

Birdies - im getting that too, mixture of wind and stretching/hormone changes to the skin im told. it does seem worse when i have been overdoing it or having to run around after DS1 loads.

Congrats Littlepink. fingers crossed.

Incaminka · 15/05/2012 14:21

Thanks for that Buntycollocks - don't want to spend money on something that isn't going to help! Guess I'll just have to be patient and wait for the scan, but it's hard, I don't think I'm going to really relax until after 14 weeks when I lost the last one.

Fingers crossed Littlepink

Nobhead · 15/05/2012 14:33

I've started bleeding a bit this afternoon, hope it's not a bad sign Sad. Started a thread about it and all the replies were very reassuring though so might be ok. Going to the early bleed clinic tomorrow morning so I'll know more then- I'm keeping everything crossed and I will be resting today.

littlepinkfizz · 15/05/2012 14:42

Thanks all! It's number5 for me- lol! Was 9 weeks when had last mc so not even mentioning anything to Dh until he asks me. Good luck Nobhead - probably something and nothing x

newbie6 · 15/05/2012 14:56

Hello all,

Can I join in too? I did a test last week and came up positive :) Had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in March so am so pleased to be pregnant again but also very worried because of what happened last time. Praying this time will be okay. Am off to call the doctor to let them know so I can get booked in at the hospital as I'm diabetic so normally seen for a scan at 6-7 weeks. Congratulations to everyone and think my due date is around the 22nd Jan. xx

Littlemissimpatient · 15/05/2012 15:40

Hi to all the newbies and congrats!!
Birdie I'm getting what feels like period pain/ cramps. It comes and goes not sure if it's a good think or not!

A lot of us have had previous mc haven't we? I've had 2 so not sure if dr will let me gave early scan or not but I'll ask.

Tugstonia · 15/05/2012 18:31

Hi ladies, I'm a newbie :) This is my first time and due date is 18 Jan. Very early days and feel a mixture of excitement, joy and terror!
Birdies - I'm getting exactly the same thing. Twinges that come and go and aren't exactly painful but a little disconcerting nonetheless. Doc said it could be muscles/ligaments/skin stretching and moving so I'm hanging on to that thought!
x

cogitosum · 15/05/2012 19:07

Congratulations Tugs. I'm feeling exactly the same!
It's reassuring that a few of us are having these twinges (my GP said exactly the same), it's made me feel a lot better 'talking' to people on here

Littlemissimpatient · 15/05/2012 19:09

Anyone had any spotting? Mines just started. I'm already anxious but now uncontrollable tears

BuntyCollocks · 15/05/2012 19:12

littlemiss I had spotting last week, and did with dc1 as well. Get yourself to doc tomo and try and get referred for an early scan to set your mind at rest. Big hugs, sure all is well.

SpringFlowers · 15/05/2012 19:15

Littlemiss - take it easy and try not to worry. Put your feet up and do nothing. Lots of people have spotting and everything turns out fine. Fx for you x

Littlemissimpatient · 15/05/2012 19:59

Thank you. Got dr appt on thurs but if gets worse I'll try to get in 2mrw.
Just want to go to bed but still at stupid work Sad

SpringFlowers · 15/05/2012 20:18

Go home Littlemiss! Say you are unwell. Resting at these times is important!
