staceyhow did it go? Hope all went well.

9weeks today and still a little odd not too have much nausea but I'm convincing myself I have lots of other symptoms and not had any pain or bleeding so I have to believe everything is fine. I think my mc after 4 healthy pregnancies just proved to me that it can happen so still cautious.
A bit peeved that I still have the metallic taste that has usually gone for me by now it's really yuck!

Anyway enough of me babbling on, I really hope no more bad news come our way and we start to enjoy the next months ahead of us! Grin

CODwidow · 09/05/2012 22:10

Olivetti I think some spotting or discharge is normal so doesn't always mean bad news fx for you x

brooke89 · 10/05/2012 08:22

Hi Ladies,

Back from Barcelona to some lovely english weather! Had a lovely time but exhausted from too much walking!

So sorry to hear that news kiwi backward and yikes hope you get lots of TLC and take care.

Had a bit of blood when i was away - nothing since and was only a small amount so not really sure if it is worth ringing the EPU? Worrying yet again as i have no symptoms at all. Also have bloods being taken this morning to test thyroid!

Stacey how did it go yesterday??

Hope everyone has a lovely day! x

Chloe55 · 10/05/2012 08:45

Welcome back Brooke Smile

Well symptoms back with a vengeance this morning-I really will embrace lack of symptoms instead of worrying if they fall upon me again!! Typical on my day off! Angry secretly happy though as I worry less when I feel like shit.

Welcome newbie Smile You will soon realise I have the worst memory ever, have just read your name, forgot it in a second and can't scroll up as on phone! Blush lots of us have had spotting on this thread.

FriendofDorothy · 10/05/2012 09:04

Well I had a bit more blood yesterday. It wasn't bright red blood like the day before, more like darker red mixed with mucus so I am hoping it is 'leftiover' blood from the day before.

I have decided to take a couple of days off sick though and just take it easy. Sit on the sofa and sew. I am desperate to not lose this baby.

Sugarcube25 · 10/05/2012 09:06

I'm so sorry to hear such sad news from some of you - lots of love to you all Thanks

I'm still getting used to the terminology here. I'm 7+2 (that means 7 weeks, 2 days right?) with my pfb. Still waiting to hear from the midwives as to when my first scan will be. I'm still so nervous and keep convincing myself that the whole thing is in my head - anyone else feel like that?

My only issues so far have been sore boobs and I'm so so so tired all the time. I've also managed to come down with a cold, any tips on what I should or shouldn't take for some relief?

Clarella · 10/05/2012 09:23

Hi sugar, congratulations!

You can only take pure paracetamol, and some don't even like that - I would though. Nothing with caffeine in or any other decongestant, they work by raising your heartrate. Check nhs website.

Hot lemon, honey, a slice of ginger really does help - the main thing would be loads of fluids to keep you hydrated, youll need more than usual. A warm bath, but don't get too hot - sadly no saunas! You could steam your head but avoid inhalants, unless a pharmacist says, just pure water. I love hot ribeana or that hot ginger and lemongrass cordial! (to drink!)

It's a very weird time the first trimester (now 11 wks, first time too) I've had so many days of worry but getting used to it now! Yes re the 7+2 terminology.

Not even worrying my boobs aren't as sore! ......She says.... ! (boob poking commences)

Clarella · 10/05/2012 09:25

I didn't get scan date till 10 weeks, and mine will be at 13 wks.

Sugarcube25 · 10/05/2012 09:34

Thank you Clarella - very helpful, I'll try and wait it out with some ginger and honey.

And thanks for the tip about scan dates, I was beginning to think they'd forgotten me!

Clarella · 10/05/2012 09:39

Hi friend didn't see your post, a wise decision I think. Hope you are ok - sounds like leftover blood, did the doc/mw say to expect anything? Hugs and enjoy your sewing.

Oops hi Brooke! hope you had fun and are ok. I have hardly any symptoms now too - don't know if should worry?!

Welcome too Olivetti! I don't know how reassuring this is but I have a friend who spotted her entire pregnancy and was fine.

Hope all is well stacey? I'm not immune, getting worried about how well school is monitoring the situation to ensure its safe to return. I'm not looking forward to the stress of returning if there's any doubts, I can't not touch the kids in my school, its part of how we work.

CODwidow · 10/05/2012 09:41

I also have a stinking cold so drinking hot Ribena which I love! But thanks I will try the honey and ginger also Smile

Nausea and tiredness is bad today so a little reassured for today.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 10/05/2012 09:46

hi everyone sorry i didn't get in touch yesterday, i didn't have my computer on!

Baby is fine and has a strong heartbeat! i have a cutep icture of a blob Blush and a great letter to the GP saying things like 'viable' and 'heartbeat seen' !! They have now changed my EDD to 17th Dec, and i am 8+3 today :)

Sorry to hear of others worries, i know it's awful not knowing!

Clarella · 10/05/2012 10:10

Great news Stacey, are you still waiting for test results?

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 10/05/2012 10:21

yh i'm still waiting for my results but i'm less panicked now i know baby is still in place! if i had got slap cheek from the children (mine) i would have come out in the rash before now (would have been 2 weeks today since dc's first had symptoms) more than likely, so i'm now relaxing and enjoying the pregnancy!

Olivetti · 10/05/2012 12:29

Hi everyone. Thanks for all you support. There hasn't been any more pink stuff, so am trying to relax. Rang the EPU and left a message last night, nobody has called back. [sad} x

Clarella · 10/05/2012 12:37

Ah good news Stacey. You may well be immune :) xx

SpottyTeacakes · 10/05/2012 13:01

Eugh I've been at work five and a half hours still four to go so tired! I'm also running out of food which means I'll start to feel really sick again soon Sad

COD I'm jealous of your 11 weeks compared to my 7+0!!

SpottyTeacakes · 10/05/2012 13:02

Sorry COD you're 9 Blush stupid iPhone meaning I can't scroll Blush

CODwidow · 10/05/2012 14:29

Spotty I wish I was! Il just be happy to get a scan date at the mo.

So so thirsty today like really dry throat thirsty, everyday at 2pm I get really tired and thirsty but hopefully all good signs so won't complain too much Smile

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 10/05/2012 14:31

i haven't even had an appointment date from the midwife yet :( although docs have me down as 7+5 so maybe a bit early!

Right off for more fundraising, 2 days till i walk 26.3 miles, eeeeeek!

brooke89 · 10/05/2012 15:31

Clarella I guess we shouldn't worry and should just count ourselves lucky that we aren't feeling rough. Although, i know i would rather be being sick constantly if it meant i felt more reassured than i do!

Stacey Good news! I haven't had my appointment date either yet :(

Olivetti Maybe give them another call?

Olivetti · 10/05/2012 17:27

They rang back - got a scan at 10:30am tomorrow.

pleasebethismonth · 10/05/2012 17:51

fx for you Olivetti, hope all is well.

SpottyTeacakes · 10/05/2012 17:55

Yes same here hope it is good news for you
