Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Grin yay! They are fab shoes bun! Grin
Your calculations sound more realistic mckayz, most of these midwives are fuckwits seem to be guessing.
I have a book davina, a tiny paperback called baby led weaning, not sure if it is the book?

Davinaaddict · 20/05/2012 19:14

I've got that too McKayz - DH bought it me from a charity book stall at work when I was pregnant with DS and that's how I found mumsnet Grin It's a good one but I found this time, didn't really give me enough to swot up on the actual looking after of the baby, rather hints & tips, so I've been reading a couple of other books as well inc the NHS ones. Good news about the weight though Smile 9lb 2.5oz was quite enough for me, so the thought of having to give birth to 11lbs makes me a little Shock

Hi Bun Lovely shoes! And they'll go so well with the dress Smile My friend wasn't planning on BLW with her second (she didn't do it with her first), but he sort of took it out of her hands when he grabbed his sisters sandwich and shoved it in his mouth Grin He was 4 months old, so you might want to keep an eye on Lilly Wink Hope the sun burn is feeling better.

The book I've got is by Rapley and Murkett Trouble, which I think is the book Grin I could do with re-reading it but I lent it out to a friend and I think she's bringing it back Jubilee weekend.

TroubleAndFyfe · 21/05/2012 17:05

I'll dig mine out and see if it is the same one davina! Smile

McKayz · 21/05/2012 17:21

One month til D Day!! The pram came today and it's fab!! Smile

TroubleAndFyfe · 21/05/2012 18:55

Woo hoo mckayz! Grin

Davinaaddict · 21/05/2012 22:47

Ooh, less than a month to go then McKayz Wink

Lauren seems to having an impromptu growth spurt as I don't seem to be able to detach her from my boobs Hmm Sorry for TMI! Blush

TroubleAndFyfe · 22/05/2012 09:45

Fyfe is asleep in his bouncer! Grin that's right people, not on me!

Davinaaddict · 22/05/2012 10:28

Woohoo! Go Fyfe!

We're having a lazy day today - just getting up now Grin Obviously we've been up for feeds etc, but then back to sleep Smile I needed it after tester when the longest Lauren slept for was 1/2 hour zzzz That was a one off as well. The rest of the day it was 10 minutes at a time!

Hope you've all got lovely weather!

TroubleAndFyfe · 22/05/2012 10:47

Good for you davina! I hope Lauren gives you a rest today!
Fyfe's nap lasted 20 mins, quite pleased with that. The weather does look lovely here again! We have our lovely lunch club and under one's group today, it's my favourite day of the week as everyone there is so lovely! We're going to the cinema with some mummies and babies from there on Thursday, I'm so looking forward to it as I love the cinema and it's a gorgeous little independent one that I was hoping to get to before Fyfe was born (Hmm) which is trailing a monthly parent and baby showing! Grin
Do you lot have any nice plans this week?

MammaInTheMaking · 22/05/2012 11:21

Sounds like a really lovely couple of days you have trouble. What film are you going to see?

Davina i hope Lauren is more restful today. Can you have a nice lazy day in the garden today?

I'm working at home again, sun shining. Yesterday we got carpet on the stairs so no more impaling our feet on the carpet spikes! At some point in the next week we should get the hard floor downstairs...

37+5 today. No sign of anything going on really. Feeling some immense pressure down there when I go to the loo but that's about it. Would love things to start ramping up now.

TroubleAndFyfe · 22/05/2012 11:43

Wow mamma, sounds like the house is coming in well and the baby is so close now! Grin we're going to see midnight in Paris, a woody Allen film. Smile

Davinaaddict · 22/05/2012 13:02

Tester??? Stoopid auto correct! Of course it should have read yesterday Grin

20mins is not bad at all - it will only get better! Smile I've always wondered how these mummy and baby cinema showings work - do you just get lots of mums walking crying babies up and down?? Let us know how it goes Smile

Thanks Mamma. Enjoy the sun! I think it's about time that someone invented sun friendly laptops for us homeworkers Grin It's almost more of a torment being stuck indoors at home when the weather's nice.

So after a very lazy morning, Lauren's had a 45 min nap in her basket (with a couple of cries in between) so I've managed 10 minutes sitting in the garden Grin This is what maternity leave is all about Grin I've just got Lauren up for a feed as she woke up, and she's asleep on me again! Smile. So I'm going to put her in the pram and go for a nice long walk.

TroubleAndFyfe · 22/05/2012 16:18

I guess the point is that no one is going to glare at you if your baby cries or if you need to walk up and down, feed your baby etc. Fyfe is happy if being fed or jiggled so a film is very doable for us. Grin

TroubleAndFyfe · 23/05/2012 09:24

I found toddle! She had a live birth thread running last night - for a cat named missy! I couldn't click her name from my phone or I'd've message her and asked her to pop by. She did mention being pg on it though so all must be well (I always worry when people disappear).

McKayz · 23/05/2012 09:42

Trouble I've been following Toddle since the cat appeared in her garden. I've been trying to work out why her name rings a bell! Thank you for solving it for me Grin

I have physio today. Hopefully I'll get some help with this bloody pain.

AnchorBun · 23/05/2012 09:51

Aw that's great news, thanks Trouble Smile

Best of luck today McKayz! Hope they can give you some relief.

So sunny here! Woooo! Grin

TroubleAndFyfe · 23/05/2012 10:05

Gorgeous isn't it?! On our way to the doctors for Fyfe's second injections in strappy top, skirt and flip flops (me, not Fyfe Grin) and it's only 10! Grin

AnchorBun · 23/05/2012 13:20

Lovely Smile How are you settling into the area Trouble?

I surprised DS with a beach picnic after preschool today, he's thrilled and currently helping some children bury their dad under the pebbles Grin

TroubleAndFyfe · 23/05/2012 14:04

Grin you sound like such a nice mummy bun! I'm really loving it, have made lots of friends and having lots of fun!Grin

McKayz · 23/05/2012 14:44

Physio was rubbish. I have 2 exercises to do. She said there was no point in me having the crutches they set aside for me as I won't stop walking to the school. I don't actually have any choice in the matter!

TroubleAndFyfe · 23/05/2012 15:13

Sounds like you're just trying to be difficult mckayz, why don't you just have your chauffeur collect them in the limo? Hmm

AnchorBun · 23/05/2012 15:34

Sad McKayz! It would kind of defy the point of crutches if you weren't walking anywhere! Hmm Could you phone the hospital and ask to see a different physio, you're well within your rights to. What were the exercises they gave you?
I'm still having trouble with one of my hips post DD so will have to go back soon if it doesn't get any better.

Aww thanks Trouble! Smile So glad you've settled in so quickly, I'm impressed! Grin I'm painfully shy and a real introvert so it takes me ages to make friends.

Davinaaddict · 23/05/2012 19:01

Ooh I saw that too Trouble (in the middle of the night). I was hoping it was her live birth thread until I realised it was for a cat Blush I was on my phone too.

Sorry about the physio McKayz Sad I'm starting to think we should send you some 4 leaf clovers or something as you seem to be having a rough time during this pregnancy. Although that of course means that your lovely DD will turn up nice and early for you, and be perfectly behaved from day one Grin Lots of smiles, no crying, wanting feeds and sleeping when it's convenient for you etc GrinWink Have some Thanks and a virtual Wine. To cheer you up on this lovely evening Smile

Sounds like you've had a lovely day Bun I'm shy as well (except at work randomly). I've been trying to pluck up the courage to pop my head out the front door to see if the neighbours are out for the last hour. They tend to sit out front drinking wine, when the suns out Grin But it's too late now so maybe Friday I'll manage it. I do know my next door neighbour a bit and a couple of the others but I don't just want to invite myself over IYSWIM. Blush It makes me feel a bit like a child!Blush But I'm going to have up get over that as otherwise this mat leave will be a lonely one Sad Gosh sorry, no idea where that came from! Anyhoo, I'm now enjoying lovely sleepy cuddles with Lauren who is looking particularly pretty in a gorgeous summer dress Grin And tomorrow will be a fun packed day with Gran and DS so I'm planning on taking us to Shibden Park Smile

McKayz · 23/05/2012 19:11

I have decided the 4th of June would be marvellous!! First day of half term and then I have a week to recover from labour and then I don't have to worry about getting someone to sort out boys to and from school. So it would be lovely Grin

TroubleAndFyfe · 23/05/2012 19:29

Grin 4th if June it is!
