A litre?! Good god! Grin

McKayz · 23/04/2012 07:54

Sorry to hear about everyone's bad weekends.

Happy bloody birthday to me!!
Ds2 has got up covered in spots. I don't know what chicken pox really looks like but that's what we are thinking it is. So looks like meal etc will have to be canceled. Sad

ghosteditor · 23/04/2012 08:17

Oh no mckayz! My parents just had chicken pox and there's an epidemic near them. I think it may be doing the rounds Sad.

ellie a litre?! Nice work! You can donate to milk banks I think... But you sound much cheerier now so that must be the right decision...

ghosteditor · 23/04/2012 08:25

And of course happy birthday Wink

TroubleAndFyfe · 23/04/2012 08:35

Happy Birthday mckayz Thanks hope you can come up with a satisfactory plan b, a big take away, ice cream, some movies, popcorn, duvet and sofa perhaps. Not quite the same I realise! Sad

McKayz · 23/04/2012 09:41

I think we'll be getting in a takeaway. Last year I had tonsilitis(sp) so couldn't do anything for my birthday either!

I might ignore it next year.

MammaInTheMaking · 23/04/2012 12:57

Happy birthday mCkAYZ! woah, caps all over the place there... :)

Sorry to hear about your crappy weekends. I hope DH stops throwing these tantrums fools, it's really not what you need. Have you had an apology yet?

I'm not totally sure who out of you is the awesome drawer is, I think it's Fools, but i also thought you must have an art background because some of those pics are amazing! I come and go with that game, sometimes love it and sometimes not. I drew 'caveman' for someone last night which i was particularly proud of!

The pram is an iCandy Strawberry and it's a beast!! Really chunky and robust and gorgeous. Very extravagant of us but it's literally the only thing we've bought at any real expense for the baby. Even my mum who's usually super critical about anything was impressed with it.

Baby's been super quiet this weekend. All movements are so slow and gentle so it must really be running out of space now.

Hmmmm.....a whole week at work, a whole week of commuting an hour and 15 mins into London......blurgh.......

TroubleAndFyfe · 23/04/2012 14:11

It is fools, amazing drawings! Smile

foolserrand · 23/04/2012 15:08

Afternoon all! Well, dh has agreed this morning that his outbursts are not healthy. This is a big deal, he's never accepted that before. I feel really positive that change will happen and he seems more positive too. So, all is good in the fool camp today.

Ds and I have been shopping today, hoping to evict the little squatter. No such joy yet. The TENS arrived this morning so at least I'm ready when the time comes. Oh, those of you who say I can draw, get your eyes looked at! I'm a science geek, not an artist! Besides, you'll give me an enlarged ego problem. Mamma, that caveman was awesome. You are well within your rights to be proud of it.

McKayz, rotten luck! Although, Trouble's alternative sounds very nice so maybe not all lost? You could get healthy son and dh to play waiter? Happy birthday by the way! Get anything good? :o

I agree, you are sounding much happier, ellie. Jacob will still be getting all the goodness from you and now you won't have to stress and worry about it, you should be able to get more milk out. Actually, I hope not! A litre.... there just aren't sufficient words for how impressive and terrifying that is!

Ghost, that's rubbish about your dh. Should we send mine instead? Win all round! :o What does he do to take him far and wide?

Right, must vacuum the dog bed brand new, shaft pile rug. I figure its similar to getting on your hands and knees to scrub the floor. There's dinner to be made too! I have heart burn just thinking about it.

ghosteditor · 23/04/2012 15:42

mamma ooh, the Strawberry? We looked at that too, tres fancy pants Wink.

fools good luck with the squatter! I cleaned every window in the house, including frames, vacuumed the car, cleaned the kitchen, tidied all the cupboards etc in the days before DD arrived. Haven't cleaned since of course so it was worth it Grin.

DH is a military pilot so he's literally going into a war zone Sad. I'm trying not to think about it really. At least he doesn't have to go away for 8 months in every two years like some of the army chaps - must be so awful for them. SIL's op went well so we're picking her up now and I'm driving her to her parents' house tomorrow (it's on the way to my folks anyway).

I just feel like we've been looking after everyone else since just before DD was born; it's not how I would've wanted it. But we're a lot more fortunate than many people so I shouldn't complain. [bucks up ideas].

Let us know when to get the pom poms ready fools!!

foolserrand · 23/04/2012 16:17

The Darkness is playing with the Zingzillas on cbeebies! Oh my god! I'm a happy fool.

Yup, will definitely let dh go in his place, ghost. Have a friend who's fiance is a big deal on a sub so I'm aware of how rotten it is. Still, I know that's not the same. :( Glad sil's op went well. Can I suggest slightly closer observation, I know I used to go crazy when I couldn't exercise. It can trigger different bad habits and they don't always go when exercise can be resumed. I don't mean to worry you, but I know how it was for me and would hate to see anyone else do what I did.

Having painless hicks but much stronger than normal. Still, don't think we need to worry about pom poms just yet. :( Oh, I fucking love the Darkness! Think I've found tonight's cooking soundtrack!

OP posts:
McKayz · 23/04/2012 17:09

Fools I love The Darkness. I painted the Darkness logo on my bedroom wall when I was at school.

Ghost sorry to hear about your DH going away. Mine goes on May 5th for 8 weeks. He's of to Ivory Coast. It's quite sad knowing he'll miss the birth of his first baby Sad

ghosteditor · 23/04/2012 19:02

mckayz, that's awful for you both, but I hope it means your DH can spend some time with the baby in the early months, it sucks when they're away, doesn't it.

fools, thanks, we'll be on the lookout for problems with SIL as I know it'll be harder for her to stay level. Right now she is in a good place and knows she needs to eat and rest to heal properly. She's seeing an eating disorder specialist weekly at the moment so I hope he can help too. She'd just got into a great place with exercise (doing yoga and climbing instead of marathon running, miles of swimming, obsessive boxing, gym etc). We'll do what we can.

I'm absolutely exhausted right now with everything that has been going on. I feel dizzy and panicky bit don't want DH to have more to worry about when he's away. Must get my iron levels checked as have been meaning to do so for weeks now.

Right, hopefully this baby will go to sleep soon!

foolserrand · 23/04/2012 20:47

Ghost that sounds really hopeful for her. I hope she can get past this. Great she's got a professional on side too. I'm so sorry you feel so overwhelmed. Please offload here whenever you can. There's always one of us about.

McKayz that is incredibly sad. How is he coping with it? Will you film the birth for him or some such?

So, just popped onto draw something and lo and behold, there is my Darwin award worthy cousin. Her word of choice? England. St George's Day so a good choice. Her picture? A rectangle with a thin red horizontal cross and blue normal cross. Shoot me now. I share genetics with a woman who would clearly lose an arse scratching competition with a fucking snake. AngryGrin

GrinGrinGrin fools, you make me laugh so much!

elliebug · 24/04/2012 07:41

Ow fools some of us have internal stitches!!!! Jacob has gone a whole 24 hours feeding by himself!!! Woop!
I am gonna have to do the catch up post to end all catch up posts when I get home!!! Can't wait to see some fuzzy pics tropeGrin

McKayz · 24/04/2012 07:50

Fools you made me wake DH up at 5am with your Darwin award winning cousin!!! We haven't got plans for filming but I've just joked to DH about being on Skype during birth Grin

Ellie woooo for Jacob!!

DS2 is very spotty this morning but still feels very well and happy.

foolserrand · 24/04/2012 09:14

Apologies ellie and Mckayz's dh. The mind boggles, it truly does. I copied her picture for the word quarter and the labotomy tester still didn't fucking get it. I may need to just pen a polite note to her. Something along the lines of "playing against you has made me seriously consider poking my eyes out with my ipod so I respectfully decline any further interaction with you until you are more mentally able or, more likely, I am in a drug induced coma."

Jacob is doing so well. Any idea when you guys are likely to get home? How are you finding the hospital?

Glad ds is still perdy, Mckayz!

OP posts:
TroubleAndFyfe · 24/04/2012 10:05

Grin brilliant! She sounds like a nightmare - can't guess her own drawing! Take a screenshot of one and post it before you stop playing please! (can you do that on iPod?) Smile

foolserrand · 24/04/2012 10:31

I can't. But i can take a photo of the screen and upload that. May need to. Will choose a decent example.

elliebug · 24/04/2012 10:54

An hoping we might go home tomorrow! He will be weighed in the morning and as long as he hasn't lost and he is still feeding ok we can goGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin feeding tube came out this morning so we can see his whole face!! Hospital isn't too bad, food is awful

TroubleAndFyfe · 24/04/2012 11:28

Hooray! That would be brilliant ellie! Fingers crossed for you! Grin

foolserrand · 24/04/2012 12:53

EllieGrin that is amazing news! Well done Jacob! Grin Got my pom poms going for him!

I think this baby will be late. Maybe she will copy her big brother and arrive the day after?

Quick update on dear cuz. She has fucked up the American flag twice now and yesterday's st George's flag was a travesty. Today, I have had enough and sent this little note with my latest offering: "You might want to google before drawing. You look like an idiot. Your flags are especially offensive."

Angry

And fab news Ellie, really hoping you and Jacob can go home tomorrow. Would love to see a little piccy of him too.

foolserrand · 24/04/2012 13:21

She didn't even try to guess "belt". That's why I did it really. I drew her an amazing belt.
