:o I've been forced to let my ipod battery die thanks to dh hiding the charger because I am spending too much time on it. There's also Tetra Sketch, Trouble. That's awesome too!

.....hang on a minute..... the radio in the kitchen is an idock! Bet the bastarding twat face my concerned life co-partner didn't think of that. I'll be playing soon!

Sorry trouble had gone to sleep on sofa as bed uncomfy and I left my phone upstairs Sad I have absolutely no idea what your drawing is and oh has gone to work so I have no help Blush

TroubleAndFyfe · 11/04/2012 09:13

Google what you see ellie! Worked for me when I got that one days ago, it's a logo you see. Grin
Was he trying to save you from yourself fools? I just play whilst feeding Fyfe, the rest of the time I'm decorating, we have carpets being fitted on Friday so that's the deadline for upstairs being finished! ConfusedGrin

MammaInTheMaking · 11/04/2012 09:39

My bump has dropped and am getting pressure down below when i'm walking. Eeeky peeky. Is 32 weeks about the time for this to be happening?

Right, RLT capsules are being purchased on Saturday then and i'm going straight to popping 3 a day, thanks trouble.

I can't draw something while i'm at work. trust me i'd love to but i just don't think i can get away with it!! Am off to John Lewis oxford street after work to pay for the pram etc so it can be delivered next week.

That sounds painful fools, are you alright still doing all of your missions today? You don't want it to be really tight and painful in labour...Confused

baby that's so exciting you're starting to feel little movements. yayayayay :o:o:o:o:o

TroubleAndFyfe · 11/04/2012 10:01

Yay babybrain that is exciting!
mamma hooray for the pram! I didn't notice my bump drop and was in a lot of pain from the PGP/SPD so don't know I'd've noticed the pressure.
Hope you feel better soon fools!
How're you getting on davina? Did the dummy work its magic again? Fyfe occasionally sucks his thumb, I'm probably a bad mum for letting him but it is so cute! Grin

foolserrand · 11/04/2012 10:20

Grrr! His sodding hairdresser has the day off. Selfish, inconsiderate bint. Was looking forward to having a rest driving there (he goes to my salon 30 mins away to avoid the local barber turning him into a little blond Hitler again). Still, that will give me more time to do the little bits around the house.

Baby that is fucking brilliant news! :o

Mamma I've got the heavy, pressure thing but my bump is still really high. Braxton hicks have definitely picked up recently but I still can't quite accept this child should be here soon. With ds, the first I knew about it kicking off was when my waters broke at 1.20 am the day after my due date. Hoping this one is as prompt or I may well lose my turn to ellie :o

Can we hope that the audio silence from Trope means the sex has worked and Fuzzy's arrival is imminent? Any news, Bun? Please!

Right, first job for today is..... quit dicking about and avoiding my jobs. Maybe the bathrooms would be good. There's only 2 of them and they're small. Or laundry.... that's a slightly huge job though!

foolserrand · 11/04/2012 10:37

Before I forget, anyone have any ideas for a good, low maintenance cut for 3 yr old boys? He has thick, straight blonde hair and currently looks ever so slightly beiberish. It makes me sad! With the chubby cheeks etc, floppy, longer cuts suit him but dh has vetoed anything other than short at the back.

trope · 11/04/2012 11:21

morning all!

Appt was a complete waste of time - got there and they said I didn't have an appointment with the consultant, just a day unit monitoring one, but that the day unit could get me in to see the consultant if I asked... hmmm... saw the high risk lead midwife (who in 9 months of pregnancy I'd never met before!) and got my monitoring etc done, then discovered that I couldn't see the consultant after all; she was in, running a clinic but it was a gynae one so I wasn't allowed to see her (bloody bureaucracy!) They did of course do the usual thing of offering to book me a c-section if I wanted though! (grrr) or I could see whichever other random obst was on shift... I declined and will now be seeing the consultant on Thursday (well, allegedly anyway!) I have an appt booked with my regular obst on Monday so might just wait for that to be honest, my only real concern is if I do go into labour before then I want something in my notes saying I can use the delivery suite/birth pool before the bitch senior midwife says I can! Don't want to be stuck at home with no means of pain relief! (Although being home is so much less stressful than being at that damn hospital it might be a better idea anyway).

I had a sweep done and the good news is that my cervix is no longer posterior, it's now mid position and easily accessible, which is good! This was the first sweep where they could really easily reach it so they gave it a really good going over (ouch!) and i've had quite a lot of blood/mucus and cramps ever since! Am still a bit crampy this morning so am hopeful for progress!

Today is fuzzy's due date though, so he'll probably refuse to come today on principle! Wink Maybe tomorrow, to be fashionably late? (Although after 4 pessaries and 7 sweeps you can hardly accuse him of rushing out!)

babybrain Yay for feeling movements - it's amazing isn't it? Grin Even now, with my entire massive bump wobbling about I still love to feel my fuzzy wriggles!!

Hospital bag - much like trouble's list - in addition I had slippers and flip flops (for the shower room as I'd heard rumours they can be a bit gross), my own towels (partly as I have super sensitive skin that reacts to most washing powders, partly as I liked the idea of having my own big comfy towels to use post bath/shower rather than scratchy hospital ones) all my meds (that was a big bag!!) including my gaviscon, so I didn't have to ask every time I wanted a dose of it, hairbands, my big sausage pillow (but I was in hospital for days and days, on really uncomfortable delivery beds - if you have a short stay/no back trouble I wouldn't bother), nursing bra to wear as part of going home outfit / post birth clothes, foam ear plugs, a squeezy water bottle and some moist toilet roll! Oh and some snacks too! I also had books etc, but I wasn't just going in for labour - when I go in for that I doubt i'll bother with books etc, but will just take my MP3 player for distraction!

Mamma my bump definitely dropped, I can't remember exactly when but I think I posted about it so if you search the thread you can probably work out roughly when! I found that fuzzy went down and up a few times before settling in and properly engaging. He's been 3/5 for a couple of weeks now and apparently is unlikely to engage any further until i'm in active labour!

trope · 11/04/2012 11:30

Oh! nearly forgot! I also packed my camera - didn't want to rely on having phone battery left to take photos - would rather have nice super high res ones from my good camera! Grin (Although I reserve the right to never let anyone see any photos of me post birth - camera is very much for fuzzy photos Wink)

MammaInTheMaking · 11/04/2012 11:58

ah trope what a pain in the flippin arse you are having with that hospital. Why do they not communicate?!!??!?!?!? You're there enough so it's not like you're a total unknown. Grrrrr, the last thing you need is the people you need to know what's going on with your specific case to be so disorganised... Can just hope that you go into the most perfect pain free natural labour and Fuzzy just slips out! :o

I'll go back and snoop for your bump drop. It's really quite noticable and I now feel the need to waddle. Am quite looking forward to my midwife app in a couple of weeks to see if she things Blubes' head is down low. The top of the bump has gone all squidgy.

TroubleAndFyfe · 11/04/2012 13:19

Can you use TENS whilst at home/whist waiting for the pool to fill trope? Mine was only £28 www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0013HVNTQ
Yes, squirty water bottle too...very important for breastfeeding as well as can drink whilst reclined! Smile
I have been very naughty - just slept with Fyfe from 10-1 when I should have been decorating! The snoozy cuddles were just too hard to resist! Grin better get him fed and back to sleep and get on with it! Confused

elliebug · 11/04/2012 18:52

Agh, have just drawn backflip when I was supposed to be doing magic!!! It was for one of the C's but I can't remember which!!! SorryBlush
Trope hospitals are so annoying aren't they!! I feel like I live in one sometimes

Davinaaddict · 11/04/2012 20:31

Ouch fools! No more cleaning for you now Grin Mumsnet orders to delegate it all to your DH Grin and that can be his punishment for hiding the iPod charger We've just been clippering DS's hair with a number 3 - very low maintenance!

Yay for flutterings babybrain Smile Gosh 15 weeks seems soooo long ago now!

Exciting news Mamma. My bump never really dropped but did bounce down then back up, a couple of times Smile

The dummy works intermittently, Trouble. And of course she's still got the tongue thrust reflex so she spits it out a lot. We keep trying in case she does want it, but don't stress if she doesn't. As long as she's happy then so are we Smile She hasn't shown any interest in her thumb though she does suck her hands loads (and not always for food either which gets a bit confusing!). Snoozy cuddles are the best aren't they! I think you should have more, and not think of them as naughty, as they will grow up too quickly and then we'll miss them [old lady emoticon]Grin

Hi trope - how come no fuzzy yet! That's two of my guesses missed now Wink Grin Anyone would think I was rubbish at this guessing malarky Grin

Ooh - those still sorting hospital bags, remember phone chargers as DH's ran out and he'd forgotten his.

I think I've got a blocked duct as I've a really sore boob, and starting to feel a bit flu-y Sad (sorry TMI). No temperature but just feel really tired and sore. Hoping it's just lack of sleep etc, but I've been trying to feed loads to clear it. Fingers crossed I don't need a trip to the docs, but guess I'll have to keep an eye on it. Especially after getting mastitis last time. At least I have to rest lots and can spend more time drawing Grin

TroubleAndFyfe · 11/04/2012 23:18

davina just naughty until tomorrow night as should be painting! Once it I done I'm just going to hug him for a week! Have failed completely on painting tonight though as he has been feeding since 6pm Hmm shattered! Hoping for some sleep at some point!Sad
Have you tried a hot flannel on your boobs? Smile

ghosteditor · 11/04/2012 23:29

Ooh Davina ouch! I had that at around 5 weeks I think but thankfully it was solved with a hot bath and flannels and lots of hand expressing in the bath (amazing how far it goes Grin). I think it's when your milk supply increases again. Take it seriously though as it can get nasty quickly! I also slept with no bra that night - woke up in a pool of milk but at least there was nothing pressing on the blocked duct. Good luck!

Still thinking of you trope!

TroubleAndFyfe · 11/04/2012 23:40

Why do people sleep in bras when bf? Confused I never have.. sometimes get a bit of leakage, wet patches on top perhaps but not a problem, do you really end up in a pool of it?

trope · 12/04/2012 00:11

Don't know if this will work or not... We are back at the hospital as the pre eclampsia is back and much worse this time. Going to be closely monitored over night, then assuming I stay stable and fuzzy is ok we will be breaking my waters in the morning in the hope I can still manage a natural labour in the birth pool. If that fails then probably a c section sometime tomorrow. Will update bun as and when I can! Place your bets on size and time now! :-)

aBundanceOfTime · 12/04/2012 00:17

Just wanted to quickly pop in and say, Trouble, hope you get some good sleep soon, it will get easier soon Smile
Yes, I leaked a lot until about 8 weeks in, sleep bras + nipple pads were a must. Out of them now though thank god, hated having to wear them!

and, Davina, agree with Trouble and Ghost wrt a hot flannel/bath/shower + massaging the blockage to try and clear it along with the frequent feeds you're already doing. FX'ed it clears for you nice and easy!

Will try and catch up properly tomorrow, been having a few glum days, my good old friend depression always nipping at my heels Hmm getting my arse back into gear though (with a few kind words from Trope*, thanks again Smile)

*Please excuse me trivialising depression, to anyone affected by it, 'tis just my way Smile

aBundanceOfTime · 12/04/2012 00:22

Oh xposts Trope!! So sorry to hear that! Will definitely be back tomorrow in that case! Best of luck to you, hope everything goes as smoothly as possible for you x

TroubleAndFyfe · 12/04/2012 04:24

She has a way with words that trope...glad you're feeling a bit better bun! So I may not have got to the really leaky bit then (6 weeks today Shock ) I ordered some silk breast pads with my two new underwired (GrinGrinGrin) bras (miss underwire so much) so will maybe need them at night too by the sounds of things and will still have some use for the twin potato sacks bra I currently wear.
Went to sleep just after 12 and have been up for 20 mins so far feeding so not too bad at all (phew) it is hard work though 6 hours feeding in a row, knackers you doesn't it?
trope! Sorry to hear that but glad you will have fuzzy really soon! Smile fx it all goes smoothly for you, that first cuddle will make it all melt away! Grin

Bets:
11.14am - 9lb 3oz

TroubleAndFyfe · 12/04/2012 04:31

And FYI, fools and I have just discovered draw something only goes up to 99 turns! Angry we'll have to manually count from now! Smile

McKayz · 12/04/2012 07:29

Trope thinking of you. I hope it all goes well for you today. Smile

My bet is 12:56pm 8lb 12oz

McKayz · 12/04/2012 07:35

Oh and I'm having Internet troubles Sad so my draw something isn't working. SadSad

TroubleAndFyfe · 12/04/2012 07:59

I just got an alert to saying you were waiting for me to take my turn McKayz but in the app I am waiting for you Confused

foolserrand · 12/04/2012 08:03

Trouble: 11.14am - 9lb 3oz
McKayz: 12:56pm - 8lb 12oz
fools: 14.48 - 8lb 4oz

Trope am so sorry the pre-eclampsia has come back. A hoping desperately you all stayed nice and stable overnight and only need your waters breaking today. Have my fingers crossed for as natural a birth as possible for you. Suppose this is a good time to welcome back Bun, the anchormum. Dh thought that up. I don't think its funny either.

Have just told ds mummy's friend is having a baby and he responded with "no I'm not". That's good. I only have 1 friend Hmm. He's now whining that we need a baby here.

Another warm bath advocate here, Davina. The hand expressing is kinda fun too. You really can shoot for miles! I would add though that a chilled savoy cabbage leaf in the cup of your bra works miracles. I bfed for 16 months so had a few blocked ducts and the immediate relief from a veggie leaf reduced me to tears.

Sorry you're having interweb ishoos, mckayz. Hope they get sorted soon.

So, walking round the supermarket yesterday I had a few pains. Bad enough for a sharp intake of breath but nothing too terrible. Bump dropped for a few hours but is back up now (dont remember it ever dropping with ds) and had some really unpleasant moments in bed last night. Seems to have eased off this morning thankfully. Dh needs until at least Sunday to finish kitchen and nursery or about 8-10 days to finish everything because he's painfully slow a perfectionist.

Ummm...... I think that's all. This is attempt number 2 of this post as my phone is playing up. It's much shorter but that can only be a good thing!

Oh, Trouble... bollocks. When did we hit 99?! I know it was recently.
