How did I miss that Scream has a date?? 25 April, that's really quite close, Scream! Only 19 days to go, unless of course you go into labour earlier. Get thee to that ball and bounce! How many weeks will you be on 25 April?

They do ELCS on Fridays at my hospital, Loopy - Maia was born on a Friday! Friday the 13th is a bit alarming, Scarlet, but maybe they won't go for that day. Even if they do, you can console yourself with the thought that Friday's child is loving and giving.

Wants, you sound forlorn. Is it the 14th that your DH comes home? Maybe you could organise some nice days with friends or family in the meantime to give yourself something to focus on.

Jaggy, I was watching the clock in anticipation of DH being allowed in at 10am! Hope your DS went to sleep eventually.

Dream, how has it been today? Hope you're less sore and got a nap or two. Brooking for a much better night.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 06/04/2012 21:56

Thanks Too. At first I thought the ball bouncing was going well, I actually had some super hot chilli for dinner last night and DIDN'T die of heartburn afterwards! I took this as a sign that the baby was actually shifting lower. However (tmi warning) this seems to have made my evil piles even worse! Slightly concerned about the level of bleeding now (please forgive the gory details). Just thinking I should probably stay off the ball for now!

Still, less than 3 weeks to go! My date is almost at my due date - 28th Apr. Still desperately hoping to have an early cs though!

How is Maia doing? How is your recovery going? Hope everything is peachy, maybe there's even a little sleep occasionally? Wink

Wants I hope you're having a good eve. It's tough being separated at such a crucial time. My DH is out at the moment, he wanted to run the several miles to and from his karate class tonight, as part of his triathlon training, but I threw a major wobbly at the idea of him being so far away without the car. Blush So I'm impressed with your calm rational behaviour! Hopefully the time will fly by until the 14th!

Stacks · 06/04/2012 22:10

Hello again everyone. Sorry I disappeared, the snow broke the Internet in our holiday cottage. At home now, but been catching up on missed threads and emails all evening.

Too, yes, this is my first. Been trying for over 18 months now, so this is a bit of a shock. I'm not minding the insomnia really, I don't actually feel that tired after. I'm managing to sleep through every other day or two, and no other symptoms really yet.

Been great reading about dream and fishcakes and their new babies, so looking forward to getting there, though it seems so far away!

Wants3 · 06/04/2012 22:22

Thanks for your kind words scream and too. I think I have been having abit of a down day :( I did family things twice last week but friends seem to be scarce ATM. I know a group of them got together today for brunch(it's an annual event) but I didn't get invited so am feeling abit forgotten.
Ds1 has just got home and run me a lovely bubbly bath so am feeling better already and I haven't even got in yet! I will try not to bring the thread down anymore :)

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 06/04/2012 22:26

You're not bringing anyone down Wants! That's what we're here for, getting each other through difficult days!

Your DS1 sounds like an absolute star! Clearly I will be coming to you for parenting guidance!

Hope you get some sleep tonight and everything looks better in the morning!

jaggythistle · 07/04/2012 07:49

your DS does sound lovely wants!

i had a big cry again yesterday and that's with DH around all the time. hope the next week passes quickly for yours coming home.

i was mentalling a bit during the night as i started getting sort of painful BHs while we were watching a film last night and i had them on and off all night. i think it's all calmed down now... it's terribly inconvenient this weekend you know Grin supposed to be visiting family tomorrow for Easter and my parents are busy this weekend. was getting worried that scream had done some super powerful Easter baby brooking! i know i had this kind of thing for at least a week before DS was born, but it's hard not to get Shock about it. also my ironing pile is way too big!

hope everyone is well today.

fishcakefoxtrot · 07/04/2012 09:15

Morning! We survived our first night home Smile so far, so good. Will hopefully be back to catch up properly later. hope everyone is having a good morning [busmile]

NinjaChipmunk · 07/04/2012 09:16

morning all! stacks I wouldn't worry about having no symptoms. I could count on probably one hand the amount of times I felt sick and they always passed very quickly (usually just before breakfast). Apart from being a bit bloated and farty I had no symptoms this time or last time. Hope you had a lovely holiday, I can't believe there's snow wherever you were! How many weeks are you now? We have a stats thread somewhere when you feel ready. This bean took 19 months to conceive (ds was instantaneous) and I remember how unreal it all felt. I remember a little bit about you from the ttc thread so I can imagine how you feel, do you have a booking in date yet?
wants your ds1 sounds so lovely. His gf is a lucky girl. And don't be silly about bringing the thread down! We are here for things like this! If you were nearer I'd come and take you out for the day (I don't actually know where you are but I have a feeling its nowhere near me!).
Hope dream and fishcake are doing ok. How many babies are there now? Hawthers, too, biscuits, fishcake, dream, pomme, purple, is that everyone? Thats 8 brooking babies!
scream sounds painful, can you take/ apply anything to the piles?

McPopcornMouseNFries · 07/04/2012 10:46

Ahh wants that's rubbish. If it's any consolation, that happens to me a lot - we're the only couple with no kids, and don't seem to be invited to certain outings Hmm In the unlikely event you're in Wiltshire, I'm always available for coffee :o

I'm 14 weeks today, I'm officially in trimester 2 - hurrah! I think I'm starting to feel movement but could be imagining it - I have to lie very still with my hands on my tummy, but every now again I feel a gentle shifting inside. It's very exciting :)

McPopcornMouseNFries · 07/04/2012 10:47

PS stacks I'm another one that had very few symptoms at that stage - I've had no sickness at all and very little boob cramp, and all I had back then was trapped wind Blush so I agree with everyone else that it's totally normal and you should enjoy it while it lasts!

NinjaChipmunk · 07/04/2012 10:54

pop the first movements for me felt like little bubbles of air moving round inside. Its lovely to feel, especially when it goes on long enough that you know you were right and it is movement (and not a trump about to pop out!)
My neighbour has just come round, looks like a few people down our road are organising a street party for the jubilee in June Grin we missed the one for the royal wedding but looks like it was great fun.
Not sure what to do today.....

jaggythistle · 07/04/2012 11:01

we're going for lounging today ninja DS is snuggled on my bed watching the dvd i got him. i think he knows it off by heart already since Monday, at least he appreciates it!

think we might go out this afternoon if DS wakes up early enough. he took so long to fall asleep yesterday that he didn't get up till after 4.30! when i finally checked him i found out he apparently stayed awake to have a poo in his nappy! then fell asleep without letting us know, so his room was not too fresh. Blush

McPopcornMouseNFries · 07/04/2012 11:17

We're going carpet shopping :(

Wants3 · 07/04/2012 11:31

Morning all! Thank you for all the positive remarks. I feel like I am having Brew with you all! I am feeling better today.
I am glad fishcake had a good first night home. Enjoy your first day and take it easy. I hope dream got through the night without too much pain and a bit of sleep.

Biscuitsandtea · 07/04/2012 13:06

Afternoon all [busmile]

Now let me see if I can remember everything I wanted to say......

Dream it sounds as though you're doing amazingly coping with your boys. As everyone else has said, I know it must have been hard without DH on day 1 but you managed it which is a huge deal and you should feel pretty chuffed with that!

I do hope though that your dd is better now and has managed to come and meet her two new brothers? How did it go?

And make sure you take advantage of that buzzer while you're still in hospital and get the midwives to do lifting etc for you rather than putting the strain on your wound. That's one of the things they're there for. And it'll be so much easier with DH around to help you. Hope it's all starting to heal up for you though [busmile]

Fishcake hope it's all going ok at home - have I missed a name for your new arrival (Blush if I have sorry....). How is your dd doing with it all.

Hope you're both getting some rest.

Wants you're doing a grand job getting through the time with your DH away. Must be, what, a week now until he's back. Keep ticking those days off. Yours DSs sound amazing - please be in charge of developing my boys? I'd love to see them all grown up and responsible like yours (when the time comes of course, not wishing them to be grown up already!)

Scarlet hope you're doing ok and the SPD isn't getting worse. The ECV is this week coming no? Will be brooking that it all works for you.... Did you come to a decision in case they do need to look at a CS and offer you Fri 13th?

Scream - it must be such a relief to have that date in and k ow that you definitely have no more than 2 and a bit weeks to go, hopefully less and either way it's a CS now. Oh, and I would not have been happy about my DH being miles away with no car either in your situation. Mind you, my DH would probably need an ambulance if he tried to run a few miles so they could have picked me up on the way to the hospital WinkGrin. I guess you'll need to get yourself to the hospital ASAP once labour starts tomorrow for your Easter baby?

Popcorn - wowsers! 2nd trimester already! That is awesome, or indeed , brillopads Grin seems to be going quickly to me, but maybe not to you?

Stacks hope you're doing ok? It's so worrying in those early days when any symptom, or lack of symptom, or change in symptom completely freaks you out! It took us 19 months to get pg this time so can relate to that idea of it not really seeming real. It'll sink in eventually though Smile

Too / Hawthers - hope you're both getting some sleep etc and feeding is still going ok

Far how are you doing m'dear? How many weeks now?

Do we have any scans coming up? I know we have had loads of bfps over on the ttc thread but I'm losing track of where everyone is?

We're doing ok. Sleep is, errrrr, variable? Feeding ok. E has a cold still which makes him sick after his feeds what a waste!! but i think he's ok in the main. One month old tomorrow [bushock]

Right we're off to visit family this afternoon do I'd better crack on.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 07/04/2012 14:41

Wow Biscuits - that is serious memory recall!

I hope Jaggy and Scarlet are coping with the last couple of weeks better than I am! No Brooking for Scarlet's LO to hurry up and shift head down! I hope Jaggy's having a relaxing symptom-free weekend!

How are all the new (again) Mamas getting on? There are so many of you now! I hope most of you are fully recovered by now. Dream and Fishcake how is your healing going? Also how is the bfing going?

So what are the important days next week? Which day is Scarlet's soon to be unnecessary ECV? Is anyone else having a scan or appt?

jaggythistle · 07/04/2012 14:59

Hi scream,

Not too bad here thanks, just a lot of BHs - see mentalling post early this morning Grin

I think I have MW on Wednesday.....

scarletfingernail · 07/04/2012 16:45

We've a very busy weekend finally getting the house clean and tidy. I can't wait for it all to be straight. As it stands I'm supervising only as my aches and pains are pretty bad. I did actually start wondering earlier if I was in the early stages of labour, but as the pains are constant I've ruled it out.

wants I hope you're having a better day today. You too Scream have you managed to stay away from the ball?

Dream sorry your first day was such a struggle. How's DD now? Has she met her brothers yet?

Good to hear you're home Fishcake hope it's getting off to a good start?

Boo to E's cold Biscuits I hope he starts feeling better soon.

ECV is Weds, LO has still not moved and is now making me feel very sick. I'm.definitely saying no to Fri 13th and I've been told a CS will be planned within days of ECV attempt if it fails so potentially it could either be this Thurs or early the week after. Eek, so unless anyone goes into labour in the next week or so that makes me next!

OP posts:
ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 07/04/2012 17:11

I hope Scarlet and Jaggy get through all their weekend plans! Who's up for a birthathon next week?! Grin

The reflexologist should be here in a min, so we'll see if this encourages my LO to make an appearance. Bizarrely my cramps, BHs and other signs have all tailed off since getting my cs date! This is clearly sod's law at work! I suspect I'll be stuck hanging around until the 25th at this rate, unless I Brook No Argument for an Easter baby of course!

Wants3 · 07/04/2012 17:30

I think I might have pulled a muscle as I have a constant ache under my belly. I think it might have been when I was driving today and had to turn around in a small space!
Thank you for all the nice comments about ds1. I am very proud of the lovely young man he is becoming:) ds2 is very different but still lovely.
scarlet how exciting that you might meet your baby so soon!

Stacks · 07/04/2012 20:25

Ninja and popcorn thank you for your encouragement re no symptoms. I'm still not Dr approved. What with the holiday and now the bank holiday weekend I've not made an appointment yet. Maybe that's part of my worry and the unreal feeling. I'll try and phone them Monday morning (if they're open) to go in. Going to ask about an early scan, will mention and maybe milk some painful right side only cramping I've been getting. I've drawn the line at telling porkies to them though, I'm a terrible liar.

I think I'm going to have to stop reading the 'due in dec' thread. The ladies on there are already talking about noticeable bumps, ms, wearing maternity clothes, and buying bigger bras!

I have remembered today that I am a Brooker, and therefore all will be fine with this baby!

I'll stop with the me me me posts from now on. I'm just spending too much time thinking about things. When I'm back in work on Monday things should be better.

Waves to all.

NinjaChipmunk · 07/04/2012 20:56

how many weeks are you stacks? I wouldn't worry about maternity clothes or having a noticeable bump for a good while yet! Mine certainly showed far earlier this time round but first time I was probably about 16 weeksish before I started getting a bump and thinking about bigger trousers.
wants take it easy if you think you've pulled something, I'm sure your lovely boys will look after you. You too scarlet and good luck for the ecv.

I've eaten so much chocolate, crumpets and hot cross buns in the last 2 days, I'm not sure how much more I can take!

Stacks · 07/04/2012 22:12

I'm 4+3, so still very early. Due 12/12, so some of the other ladies could Be as far as 6 weeks. Still, I was comparing my lack of symptoms to their many. I'm just going to try and kick back and relax about it all as much as I can.

cakes82 · 08/04/2012 09:07

TMI Post. Just wondered what might cause brown spotting? I had it yesterday but no pain or discomfort. I've had it before a little but this was a bit more. I'm 14 wks.

Hope everyone is having a good Easter and lots of chocolate and family time [busmile]

jenfraggle · 08/04/2012 09:11

Stacks I'm 34 weeks and still not in maternity clothes so don't worry about that and was well over 20 weeks before developing a bump. I've read so many posts about different symptoms that others have had that I haven't, rib pain, indigestion, etc and I was over 20 weeks before I felt any movement.

I had really bad morning sickness, it was 9 weeks of all day, every day from week 5 but it just stopped instantly at week 14, no gently easing away, I just woke up one morning and wasn't sick again!

It just really seems to vary from person to person so try not to worry about other people. I know it's hard as I've been there. The emails from the various clubs never seem to apply to me, I had one a couple of weeks ago saying that I will feel like my bump is up to my boobs, no, it is down where it always is :)
