x post with scream you poor thing! Right, you have done what you can for today. Just make sure you are primed with all the info to take with you tomorrow and maybe bullet point the most important parts so they get the message quickly. And if the doc hasn't yet spoken with the other doc, see if they can raise them on the phone while you are there. You'll get there, don't panic. We will all brook for you super extra mega hard!!

TheLittleFriend · 04/04/2012 12:23

Just checking for news from dream

(sorry to hear about your crap day scream. Although it feels like a long time right now, it really is not long til you have your beautiful baby and this is all a distant memory. Brooking hard for a successful appointment tommorow)

pommedechocolat · 04/04/2012 12:25

scream - that is properly rubbish. If I were you I would lay it on really thick tomorrow about one consultant already agreeing to it and the app just being a formality to confirm it. It will all be fine though as you have the power of brooking behind you. Hope you have a good day with your dh.

wants - I live about 25 mins from a city with a cathedral... And used to live in the city with a cathedral (and walls..?). Both dh and I (when not on mat leave) still work near there too!

GenericDietCola · 04/04/2012 14:26

Scream that is terrible and I'm so sorry things aren't sorted but I am brooking with the others that you will be able to sort everything out tomorrow.

jenfraggle · 04/04/2012 14:28

The boys may be here now!

Biscuitsandtea · 04/04/2012 14:31

O. M. G. Scream Shock I literally can't believe that!!! No no no no!

Needless to say I am brooking with my every fibre that this gets resolved and that your consultant that you've called today can sort things out with tomorrow's doctor.

Pah! I'm very Angry on your behalf that they buggered up the appts.

Dream thinking of you my lovely - good luck xx

Fishcake how lovely to hear from you - hope you're enjoying some snuggles and the recovery is going well xx

McPopcornMouseNFries · 04/04/2012 15:03

Scream I agree with pomme - I'd also be laying it on thick about how the consultant had agreed in principle, and the appointment is just to dot the i's and cross the t's... good luck.

McPopcornMouseNFries · 04/04/2012 15:04

Ahhh loopy that's so lovely! I can't wait til I feel movement :) I'm so pleased it's all going well for you :)

Biscuitsandtea · 04/04/2012 15:04

Scream what time is the appt tomorrow? Can your IMW and DH both make it?

scarletfingernail · 04/04/2012 15:13

Scream that is crap, I would be seething. Do you know what though? I still think you're going to get your ELCS agreed tomorrow without any argument. You have the letter from the other consultant, you also now have a potential official complaint over the way this been handled. I really can't see them wanting to argue with you over it, especially when there is a good medical reason for it.

Brooking for your scan tonight Far

I'm on edge waiting for dream's annoucement Grin

jenfraggle · 04/04/2012 16:05

Dream did say 4ish, didn't she? :o

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 04/04/2012 16:18

Thanks everyone. Just spent the last couple of hours watching children killing each other (Hunger Games) and it has bizarrely worked wonders for giving me some perspective!

I'll be spending the eve prepping all the arguments from last time, but I agree with Popcorn and Pomme that I'm going to try to introduce the whole topic as a done deal. I'll explain the appt debacle and that really it was just booking in an already agreed op. We'll see what he says. I have to be ready to talk him into it.

DH is rearranging work to be at the appt tomorrow (not easy with weddings! He says his colleagues are really supportive though and he should be able to get cover.) My imw has conflicting appts tomorrow but she's trying to reschedule them, she's going to let me know later if she can come.

Thanks for all the No Brooking! I was just thrown by it all this morning (I had foolishly pinned my hopes on having everything resolved). Now I just need to get back into IYFNBM! (In Your Face No Brooking Mode!) Wink Loving the idea of Hawthers and the gorgeous Farley in IYFNBM!

I hope Dream is snuggled up with her lovely boys right now. Can't wait for her announcement!! Not long to Farfalla's scan either, looking forward to good news!

fishcakefoxtrot · 04/04/2012 16:36

Boo scream that is rubbish I agree with the others- just go in as if the appointment is just a formality and obv the consultant is just going to sign it off. It WILL be fine and we will brook no argument on that. Am glad that your dh can come and your imw sounds great. I can't believe the receptionist didn't want to give you the consultant's number!

far I hope you have a great scan tonight.

Maybe dream is having double newborn snuggles by now!

Am doing ok here, dd2 has had a coupke of better feeds. I just feel knackered and a bit sore. Hopefully the lovely drugs trolley will be round soon.

hawthers · 04/04/2012 16:43

You are in luck scream i've got the toddler hawthers with me tomorrow who is an excellent brooker and very shouty too so if the consultant gives ta any shit about refusing a cs I'll just threaten to leave him in the room with will and he'll authorise it in seconds :o

biscuits thanks for sending ethanol over to have a word with farls - he put on 10 oz this week!

hawthers · 04/04/2012 16:44

Woah that is an incredible autocorrect error. Clearly I meant ethan not ethanol!

jenfraggle · 04/04/2012 16:45

ethanol :o

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 04/04/2012 18:14

Just wanted to mention that my friend who had her baby at 26 weeks pregnant, was finally able to take her little girl home today! The baby is 12 weeks old already, and her due date was Easter Monday. They've had a long hard road and it's so lovely that they're finally all at home together.

Waiting anxiously for news from Dream.

Biscuitsandtea · 04/04/2012 18:14

Sounds like you've got it all in hand Scream - it sounds very wise to present it as a done deal but be fully prepared to argue it just in case. Is it Consultant C that you left the message with? I think they were pretty on the ball before? Hopefully still the case.

Also brooking hard that your DH and mw can get along with you. If not maybe Hawthers or Ninja are available? Smile

Hawthers - that is an awesome weight gain by F - great effort all round Grin very glad ethanol Ethan could help.

We had an appt for E's kidney today (super lovely consultant who thought it unlikely to be anything to worry about but we've a scan in a few weeks to double check). They weighed him while we were there and I'm sure it was 4.6 kg or something. I converted it when i got home and that's line 10lb 2oz or something. That would be a weight gain of 14oz this week Shock!!! I may have remembered it wrong and we'll see what happens at the clinic next week but at this rate the HV will put him on a diet! Confused

He only feeds for 10-15 mins every 3-4 hours Confused. And at the moment he has a cold so it's been much more like 10mins max for most feeds as then he starts coughing and won't latch back on once he comes off.....

Now come on Dream - I've been waiting for your news all afternoon. Hope you're enjoying those snuggles.....

Biscuitsandtea · 04/04/2012 18:15

Yay for your RL friend Scream - that's such lovely news Grin

pommedechocolat · 04/04/2012 18:20

Bloody hell biscuits! What's in your milk?!

Biscuitsandtea · 04/04/2012 18:41

Erm chocolate no idea Pomme ConfusedGrin

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 04/04/2012 19:08

Grin at chocolate milk. Yay for Ethan and good kidney news! Is it the same thing Maia has, Biscuits? Monocystic displastic kidney or something?

Scream, that is awful. I am so so sorry, my lovely. I really hope you get it all sorted out tomorrow - will be sending you lots of Brooking. What time is the appt?

TheLittleFriend · 04/04/2012 19:11
ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 04/04/2012 19:13

Farfalla is hopefully getting some really good news right about now!

My appointment tomorrow is at 11.10 Too. Fingers crossed that my previous consultant will get my message and speak to the new consultant before the appt! Not holding my breath though.

Hope you're getting a bit more sleep now Too!

Grin at Biscuits' chocolate milk!

Biscuitsandtea · 04/04/2012 19:23

Brooking for Farfalla and Dream.....

Don't think that name rings a bell for the kidney thing Too - they keep telling me the name and I can't remember. Basically it's an enlarged collection bit in one kidney? Which could be a sign of kidney reflux or a blockage in the ureter. I think Confused

Scream - I'm all ready with my brooking for you tomorrow xx
