Just visiting to say congratulations, fishcake!

GreenOlives · 03/04/2012 18:55

Big congratulations Fishcake! Smile Thanks

Biscuitsandtea · 03/04/2012 18:55

Awesome news Fishcake

congratulations Thanks

Enjoy those cuddles and rest up xx

See you on the night shift Grin

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 03/04/2012 18:57

Congratulations! Great work Fishcake! Keeping to the boy girl pattern Wink
I had to express with my pain in the bum as he just about fed for 5 mins on one side. If you ask a MW they should be able to help you with hand expressing and then syringe feeding, not sure what time you had the baby but the first 6 hours any milk you express/feed is good at kick starting your production but it is also very very normal for baby to be sleepy and having one feed and then sleeping for awhile is a usual occurrence.

Having dinner so just a quick post!

pommedechocolat · 03/04/2012 19:00

Congratulations fishcake!! Enjoy your food and snuggles and good luck with the name choosing :)

I think on the feeding they say not to let them go more than four hours without feeding and to try and feed as often as possible?

pommedechocolat · 03/04/2012 19:04

Oo yes boy girl pattern in tact and will stay intact tomorrow as well with dream's boys.

Who's after that ? Must be a girl :)

Oo wants a local! We actually live a little more inland now - about half an hour north of Pompey.

Biscuitsandtea · 03/04/2012 19:06

Perfect - Scream will be having her baby girl tomorrow afternoon immediately after her consultant appt and straight after Dream' boys...

I wonder if she could time it to fit in between the twins births so that we properly had boy girl boy....

Wants3 · 03/04/2012 19:20

pomme I live about 20 mins away from the city with the cathedral! taps side of nose
Congrats to the fishcake family.
We have several more ubbs after dream and scream don't we? musical I know has one, so we should be able to predict, very scientifically of course:)
I have not really felt like eating today, baby has been very active under my ribs making me uncomfortable! Sorry to moan at you guys but DH isn't here to listen :)

jaggythistle · 03/04/2012 19:26

congrats fishcake family!

my ubb is due on the 25th, will be interesting to see the pattern. :) scream of course will have had her perfectly organised cs by then.

anyone due in between?

jenfraggle · 03/04/2012 19:27

I've got an UBB but we think it's a boy.

musicalmrs · 03/04/2012 19:29

Congratulation Fishcakes! Enjoy your newborn snuggles :)

Biscuits, your plan for Scream's birth sounds perfect. The timing will have to be impeccable though..!

Mine is indeed an UBB Wants, so I look forward to the brooking prediction! Scarlet and Jaggy are both due before me though - with Scream inbetween if she doesn't pop in between Dream's twins tomorrow! Also with you on the rib pain Wants..

Dream, so excited for you tomorrow!

TheLittleFriend · 03/04/2012 19:54

Congratulations on the arrival of your little girl fishcakes Thanks

And still the excitement continues tomorrow......!!

BeedleTheBard · 03/04/2012 19:58

Congratulations fishcake Thanks

And good luck for tomorrow dream

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 03/04/2012 20:09

Awwwwww I love the warm glow of No Brookerland when a new member has just arrived! I hope Fishcake and her gorgeous new addition are still all wrapped up in each other!

Loving Biscuits' prediction! I'm currently bouncing on my ball and chanting "down down down" to my LO in a bid to get her in position ready for the waters to break in the consultant's office tomorrow! Grin

Sooooooooooo excited about Dream's boys arriving tomorrow! What time is your appointment? I think you mentioned the afternoon?

BartletForAmerica · 03/04/2012 20:42

What is an UBB? Unknown something? Guessing it means you don't know if you are having a boy or a girl, but can't work out the acronym.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 03/04/2012 20:47

Hurray Fishcake, congratulations! Another little girl, how exciting! What does DD1 think of her? Thanks

Grin at Scream and her ball antics.

Dream, nearly there! I love the name Sebastian and I think SAS would be cool initials. Maia's initials are MPV, or multi-person vehicle (I think), which is not nearly as cool.

Biscuitsandtea · 03/04/2012 20:48

An unidentified brooking bean Bartlet IIRC, as you say where gender is unknown Smile

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 03/04/2012 20:48

Unidentified Brooking Baby, Bartlet. Think it should go on the official acronyms page...

GenericDietCola · 03/04/2012 21:14

Yay well done Fishcake!

And just to let you know I am brooking for Dream tomorrow - so exciting to hear about the first brooking twins!

Hoping very much to be back in ante natal in two weeks very soon! Love to all X

scarletfingernail · 03/04/2012 22:08

Yay congratulations on the arrival of DD2 Fishcake wonderful news! I hope the recovery has started well and you're able to get some rest tonight.

jaggy I'm expecting a UBB on the 20th April, but will be earlier if it doesn't get into the head down position so I guess it's between myself and Scream after dream has her boys tomorrow. As there is now an established boy/girl pattern I'm guessing that Scream will be first with her DD and I will be just behind her with what is likely on that basis to be a boy Grin

dream how exciting! Brooking for you lots of course, please let us know as soon as you can about the arrival of your boys. Have you come any closer to deciding definite names? FWIW I love Benedict but DH ruled it out saying Bendydick Hmm which put me off, so might be something to consider.

Purple I knew of Nye Bevan but didn't know what it was short for until you said. I think it's Welsh, is it not? Very unusual and I like it Smile

2 RL friends have had babies today, which makes 4 in the last 4 weeks. Must have been something in the water last July/August round these parts.

DreamingOfPeace · 03/04/2012 22:30

Congratulations fishcake Grin Thanks . Another beautiful little girl!! A good weight too, well done you. I remember DD not feeding much at all the first day or so, until I was getting worried- then, after a mw had finally promised to come and help (they were totally overrun and no-one had any time to help me at all) she started a marathon session and spent about 4 hours on the boob the second night. I was so relieved. She was fine after that, and never lost any weight, so I'd just persevere. Looking forward to your full birth report, and she sounds gorgeous, all snuggled up on you, skin-to-skin

So DH and I can't seem to do anything but bicker tonight, so not getting any further with names discussion, funnily enough.... I LOVE Finnian, and if I could name them without him that's what I'd go for. Sebastian and Finnian. however, he's definitely, 100% not going to be persuaded on it. I've suggested Benedict but he thinks its a bit poncey Hmm . I like Benjamin, but I don't love it, but we can't seem to agree on anythign else. Will see what they look like when they arrive!

I am now packed- my hospital bag has become one for me and one for the boys Blush . Looks like we've got enough to go on holiday for a week with. Very embarrasing, but it was so squished in one bag that I'd never find things... so i'm telling myself.

I'm not expecting to be back on the ward til after 4, and probably later, so will update when I can tomorrow evening. It's an afternoon list for me- they don't give you a time, just morning or afternoon, but I know I'm first on the list (with more twins straight after me!) so if there were no emergencies etc DH says we'd expect them to be actually born around 2pm. Grin (so scream, if they were going to be born at say, 2:05 and 2:07 pm, you need to get in there at 2:06- bear that in mind Wink Hope your appointment goes really well and Autumn's birthday is set. Agree on August being not as nice as Autumn too, but I prefer Serena to Selena personally) So excited. So nervous...

Such a me me me post, I'm sorry, but my thoughts are with you too fishcake

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 03/04/2012 22:52

Yay for Dream being all packed and ready! I have two bags - one for me and one for the baby as well, and I only have ONE baby! I'd be amazed if you had managed to get it all into one!

Thanks for the heads up on timing - synchronising watches... now! Wink I'll be No Brooking my socks off for you tomorrow! Can't believe your big day is really here!!

Oh and Scarlet since Dream is having TWO boys I think the No Brooker pattern might mean we're BOTH having girls! Grin

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 04/04/2012 02:23

On the downside I can't get to sleep.

On the upside this means I was awake when my RL friend confirmed she's had a healthy baby boy! Grin Yay!

At least all this unwanted wakefulness means I'm getting in lots of extra No Brooking for Dream's big day!

I hope Fishcake is getting some sleep, and her LO will be super hungry and ready for a real feed soon!

musicalmrs · 04/04/2012 07:38

So, Scream, if you're both having girls.. that means Jaggy should be having a boy, and I should then be having a girl? Or have I missed someone out? Grin I am currently thinking boy though - although for no real reason...

Hope you had a lovely night with your beautiful baby girl Fishcake, and that the feeding's picking up! :)

Dream, brooking lots for you today - especially early afternoon! How exciting!

Scream, hope your appointment goes well - and that your waters break after everything's officially on record Grin

DreamingOfPeace · 04/04/2012 07:38

Thanks scream, I was far too nervous and excited to sleep... Knock em dead at your appointment, will look forward to hearing your news. Love the girl.for scarlet theory too!! What's your gut instinct scarlet??

ARGH, TODAY, SOOO NERVOUS!!!
