No probs yellow I should have made it bold or something, t'was somewhat in the middle of a post.

Still on healthy food. And did yoga today. Maybe won't put on excessive weight this time? (unlike last pregancy!) I can but hope....

Little9 · 20/03/2012 22:40

Wow. I'm exhausted just catching up on this thread! Finally done it (1 and a half hours later!!).

Welcome to newcomers. Congratulations to all the happy scans. Sorry to the ones with bad news. Am having mc concerns myself as have had coloured discharge (TMI!!) for the last two days. Kept getting a pain yesterday as well but Dr said was ok unless started bleeding or pain got worse and constant. Today pain has gone but still getting funny coloured discharge. Got this last time and ended up with a MMC at 12 week scan so naturally finding it hard to have PMA at the mo. DH being really good and keeps geeing me up but who knows. Will see how it goes and if still got it in a few days will call Dr again - he said they could scan from 8 weeks to see if all ok. May have something to do with the amount of coughing I'm doing at mo - have had this cough for 5 weeks now. FIL told me off for not seeing dr but don't think there is anything they can give me anyway.

Had a very busy weekend with dog agility competition on both days. Both doggies did well, with a clear round and a 3rd. Yay!!

Must go to bed before I fall asleep on the laptop. But before I do can I just say how unbelievably sore my boobs are - even my nips!!!!

Night all, xxx

applepieinthesky · 20/03/2012 22:51

I've been reading some quite reassuring statistics on miscarriage which you might find interesting:

Almost 20% of pregnancies end in miscarriage, with the majority occurring during the first 12 weeks.

The highest risk of miscarriage occurs in weeks 1-2 of pregnancy, when you do not know you are pregnant.

There is a 10% chance of miscarriage in weeks 3-6 and this number drops to 5% during weeks 6-12.

During the second trimester the chance of miscarriage drops again to 3%

So once we are 6 weeks we have around a 90% chance everything will be fine Smile

jaylee89 · 20/03/2012 23:20

thanks applepie thats v reasuring :)

im 6+3 now :) slowly getting there roll on 12 weeks thou.
so pleased for everyone who has had positive scans im made up for you :)

Also can not wait to feel the baby move for the first time with DD i remember being led in bed and i was 16-17 weeks and she kicked me right in the ribs was amazing!

applepieinthesky · 20/03/2012 23:46

That should be 95% chance after 6 weeks.

Tired Confused

You would never guess I work in accountancy Grin

WestWingCJ · 21/03/2012 06:18

littlelolly horrible to have a row with your mum. It is so easy for someone else to say that ms isn't that bad, just get on with it etc. But no one else can know how badly it can affect a particular person. I had forgotten in just 3 years how grim ms is, let alone when I've got a grown up daughter (note to self to be understanding when it is her turn!!!). My mum is generally very lovely and we are very close, but she comes out with such gems as yours has, and I find it really upsetting, let alone when I am a mega-hormonal stressed out pregnant woman! I find it easier sometimes to say less to her than I would otherwise (and she would be devastated to hear that) but I can't always rely on her for support and then when she upsets me I find it very difficult. Just wait until baby is born and see what nuggets of wisdom mothers come out with then...... "well, in my day, we never did that and you've turned out fine" etc etc. Groan!! Listen to your body and if you need some help with the ms then go for it.

DesperateHousewife21 · 21/03/2012 07:06

little9 what kind of colour is your discharge? I only ask (and god knows I wouldnt in RL!) because I seem to have excessive amounts and everything I've read has said its normal as long as its either clear/ white. Mines mostly white but can look an odd colour sometimes but then I wonder if it's because there's alot of it and I'm wearing coloured pants Blush

Those stats are v reassuring, I'm 6 weeks today :) going to tell another friend today who knows we were ttc but I haven't seen her since before I tested and I always prefer telling them in person.

Ds woke me up at 6 this morning bleugh! All those preg with their firsts I fully recommend making the most of every opportunity you get for: lie ins, meals out, cinema trips and sex!!

BottleRed76 · 21/03/2012 07:44

Those mc stats have made me feel a lot better. 4 weeks today (2 since ovulation) and other than AF not turning up I've had no symptoms. Bit cold and tired but that might be nothing to do with it. Getting used to keeping it to myself but think we will tell parents on Friday after doctors.
I've heard its just a quick chat to record my dates and get me in the system for booking in appointment with midwife. Do I need to take a sample? I don't really want any prodding about...

Bottlered some want a sample, some don't. Best to ring and check.

Little9 · 21/03/2012 08:10

DH, it has been sort of yellowy/pinky. Although gone back to white so far this morning. Will see how it goes. How's the no smoking going?

NervousAt20 · 21/03/2012 08:26

Get my results back from the DR today just to confirm im preg. I did 2 clear blue at home and were both positive (much to my HUGE shock). It it silly to be nervous that he's going to say, actually your not preg and the other tests were wrong ? Confused

DesperateHousewife21 · 21/03/2012 08:27

Ah ok mines more white/ grey. It's going ok really I have moments where I'd love one but it passes and I forget about it. The physical withdrawal symptoms have gone which is a relief they were horrible.

pipsicles · 21/03/2012 08:27

Thanks for those mc stats apple - v reassuring!

I have lots of creamy CM DH and I had it with DS too. I think if there is a lot, or if your wee is quite strong, it might look a slightly odd colour occasionally, but I also agree that wearing coloured knickers means you get a slightly different hue - I think it's the tiny bits of fluff!

To all you first timers, I'm with DH - DEFINITELY make the most of your last few child-free months! I was also up at 6am this morning after a restless night with my poorly DH and some disturbances from DS (I'm thinking it may be to do with us moving - it's only been happening since the weekend). The last thing I really wanted on my day off was to be up so early, but then of course it wouldn't be a day off without DS anyway - catch 22 really! I'm really trying to make the most of his two sleeps while they last. Am sat in bed (in my pjs still) just waiting for him to drop off before I snuggle back down myself!

The sex thing too...was I the only one who was completely disinterested for about the first 6months after giving birth? And even then it was only the odd occassion! And am I the only one whose DH was feeling very hard done by because he was ready pretty much straight away? Please say it's not just us!

Hmm...think I may have a nappy to change before peace descends!

DesperateHousewife21 · 21/03/2012 08:33

Yes it's def the tiny bits of fluff!

I can't help with the sex thing, we resumed normal relations 3 weeks after having ds, and he was a natural birth and I had stitches Blush

misslaughalot · 21/03/2012 09:08

Ok, today I'm wearing my jeans without a belt for the first time (it was getting uncomfortable) and they're staying up Hmm

blonderthanred · 21/03/2012 09:41

Wow, my doc is amazing.

Went to my appt this morning expecting to be told to go away, instead he greeted me with "Congratulations!", listened to my concerns about the pink discharge, did a pelvic exam to make sure it wasn't ectopic and then got on the phone to EPU to arrange a scan in the next couple of weeks.

He was so kind, reassuring me that nothing serious was up but taking my anxiety seriously and said the early scan would put my mind at rest and help with the dating because of my mad cycles.

So much happier and relieved, I nearly cried (although that isn't exactly unusual at the moment).

misslaughalot · 21/03/2012 09:50

Blonder that's great! Good to hear of a doctor actually listening to you and being human! Hope your scan rolls round quickly!

chickenspots · 21/03/2012 09:51

I seem to have dropped off the list again but I'm bleeding so I'm not feeling too positive today :( I've a history of ectopic so I was trying to call EPU for an early scan anyway but can't get an answer. Today I woke up to fresh red blood in the knickers so have tried calling EPU again and it just rings and rings, not even an option to leave a message. The lady who works there is lovely and in the past I haven't had to get a GP referral which is great but if I can't speak to her I don't know what to do. Trying to remain calm but with this amount of blood it's not looking good :(

Evilwater · 21/03/2012 09:54

Hello everyone!
This thread moves really fast. I'm getting exited for my 12 week scan, as it's the earliest scan I can have.

Just had a look at money side of things, and even with some benifts we are going to to be very screwed. Im considering cancelling my new car, but we need a five door that's more Eco, and not going to all apart. Its not an easy choice.

Anyone else looking at a shortfall in cash?
EW

YellowWellies · 21/03/2012 09:57

Sending lots of love and good vibes to you chicken fingers and toes crossed you have a sticky bean. Hope you manage to get some reassurance xxxxxx

LittleLolly · 21/03/2012 09:58

Oh no chickenspots please try to stay positive and if you can't get hold of EPU then go to A&E, they will just refer you up there anyway. Fingers crossed xx

Evilwater · 21/03/2012 10:00

Chicken fingers crossed.

YellowWellies · 21/03/2012 10:01

Evil - is it a new 'new' car or just new to you? Have to confess we've never had a new car ever and husband earns, well more than I could ever imagine earning. You need a five door but if you could consider a second hand new car that would save you a packet. New cars halve in value as soon as you leave the forecourt, and well we can't justify that... We're going to upgrade this year too (mostly because our old car is a banger and I'm concerned the passenger door is going to come off!!!), but it will be second hand and under £2k if I have my way!!! :) There's no point getting a really nice car up here as the weather and sea spray rusts them so quickly... If you're worrying about cash it sounds like a new car will not ultimately feel like a treat but something that will cause you worry in the long run xxx

NervousAt20 · 21/03/2012 10:03

Fingers crossed for you chicken go to A&E and they will send you there. Try keep postive xx
