Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
babybrain3 · 26/04/2012 20:30

Maybe it's just a routine scan Newton hope so anyway... Grin fx

newtonupontheheath · 26/04/2012 20:38

Yeah I'm hoping so.

Think it's partly my own mentalling rubbing off a bit. Feel better for getting it off my chest...again sorry for the downer!

I've distracted myself by clearing out my emails...have had my email from IO. My order has been dispatched Grin can't wait for 3-5 working days to pass!

Guccigirl79 · 26/04/2012 20:46

Newton I'm sure when the time is right they will let you know what has happened,in case it is (god forbid) a MS they may be trying to keep it quiet if they know it's still quite raw for you perhaps?

I have finally had my nuchal results letter today (had test on 4th april!!) it says it's 1 in 9900 is that good or am I being thick?? Have also had my 20wk scan app today too for 31st may so am pleased about that though it seems quite a way off still!!

newtonupontheheath · 26/04/2012 21:08

Quite possible also Gucci

I think 1 in 9980 is very good! I'm no expert though...I'm sure someone who is will be along soon! Goodness what a wait you have had though.

Have just had a little word with baby and lit a candle for the one we lost. Feeling better and off to bed now. Night y'all Smile

newtonupontheheath · 26/04/2012 21:09

Sorry, I appear to have increased your odds by 80 there. Pregnant sausage fingers are to blame I think!!

Bubblebell1 · 26/04/2012 21:31

gucci they are the same odds as mine Grin my cousin who is a midwife said that's good odds Grin

Newton try not to worry maybe it's a gender scan mine was late and my mum had to watch the boys.

Know it's hard when your anxious already.

newtonupontheheath · 26/04/2012 21:42

Don't want to put too much information on here (as its not about me iyswim) but dp has spoken to his sister and she has to go back next week for another scan. So not bad but not great. Must be an awful wait. Just crossing fingers for her...

Bubblebell1 · 26/04/2012 21:51

Aw Newton I will keep my fingers crossed too. Poor woman Sad

newtonupontheheath · 26/04/2012 21:59

Thanks Bubble

Will text her in the morning and try to think of something constructive to say.

Really need to go to bed now...we've just realised we need proof of ID for this appointment at the registry office tomorrow. I thought all our stuff was well organised but turns out is ain't! Boo hiss. Guess that's another job for the never ending to do list! In fact, there's a fan thread over on good housekeeping about small things that keep you organised. Check it out if you haven't already... I'm planning on putting those energetic pregnancy hormones to good use (when they finally kick in) by doing a few of them.

Girls what kinda stuff are you buying. I'm stuck in hareems and an over sized cardi.

Really fed up with having nothing to wear now x

Bear1984 · 27/04/2012 12:50

Newton hope everything will be okay!

Bubble nothing seems to fit me properly. Normal clothes are too tight, and my maternity clothes are too huge lol.

Everyone knows now our end. For the past year, I've been at "war" with my family (bloody feels like it lol) but DD had told my mum at the weekend and so now she wants to put things right. Probably wouldn't have if I wasn't pregnant lol. I also told DD's aunt as her wedding is 16 days before I'm due Confused so I wanted to give her plenty of warning so we can come up with back up plans if I happen to have baby round that time as DD is a bridesmaid. I also got a text from her mum (DP isn't DD's bio father) who congratulated us both. I'd have quite liked to have seen ex's face when he found out. It makes me chuckle lol. I just hope he doesn't go spoiling this for DD as some point last year, he was telling DD that if me and DP have babies together, they won't be DD's real brothers or sisters Hmm He's a charmer.

But we are off to Paris on Monday Grin Really hoping my MS doesn't play up and that the weather will be a bit better for us!

newtonupontheheath · 27/04/2012 13:04

Thunder I hear you!!! Quick reply as an at work sat nr the big bosses...did you pay for super speedy delivery or what???? Envy

CaptainHetty · 27/04/2012 13:44

I'm mostly living in jogging bottoms at the moment seen as the only imperative thing I have to do during the day is the school run. I have a couple of pairs of maternity jeans (Asda had some in yesterday for £16 which are basic but nice) and vest tops but my boobs just won't stop bloody growing and not much fits my top half without me feeling rather... exposed Hmm I'm also struggling to find anywhere that stocks super massive bigger maternity bras without spending a bloody fortune on something I might have grown out of in another 3 months time lol.

I hope she's ok, newton, hopefully it's just a 'keeping an eye on things' scan. My cousin had to be scanned every two weeks from about 20 weeks onwards and she had a bootiful healthy little boy a couple of weeks ago at full term, so it's not always awful news x

Hey all, newton hope all is well. Envy at the IO orders, beautiful stuff but I've got plenty left over from DD so can't really justify spending anymore on mat wear.

Just back from a week with Centre Parcs with the in-laws for MIL's 70th. It was nice enough, despite the horrid rain, but really not my cup of tea, I wouldn't be keen to go again although I can see the appeal for kids.

Meanwhile 18+3 here and can't feel any movements yet - that's still normal right? Second pregnancy at all that.....

newtonupontheheath · 27/04/2012 15:21

Oh thunder I can barely wait to get home tonight. One of us (me or DP) needs to go and pick up ds on the way but now I'm feeling the urge to go straight home. I'm sure ds won't miss me Grin

Oh I love centre parcs! We are going again in 3 weeks. I agree it's better with kids, it was the first place we went on holiday after having ds and everything is so family orientated and make holiday-ing with children so easy!! I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it. Would you not consider going back with dc? We're planning next year with friends as well!!

Hello, my name is Newton and I am a centre parcs addict Grin

MakeTeaNotWar · 27/04/2012 15:32

We had DD with us & she enjoyed the pool but I found it all very crowded & hated the restrictions of needing to book into activities. I'd much rather camping but know I'm a minority as it's clearly v popular.

Can anyone feel movement yet? Nothing hereSad

babybrain3 · 27/04/2012 16:10

thunder I'm so pleased someone else isn't feeling anything either-I thought I started to feel things a couple of weeks ago but haven't felt anything since-guess I was probably imagining it-or it was wind!!! Confused It's my 3rd pregnancy....

Newton I love centre parcs to can I join your addicts group???Grin But am also very addicted to camping-so much so that I will be going for a two week camping holiday at 31 weeks!! Eeek Confused

CaptainHetty · 27/04/2012 16:29

I'm 18+4 and can only feel very subtle movement when I'm laying very still, still not feeling anything that makes me go 'woooow that's baby' or anything. Did keep getting rather intense shooting pains in my pelvic area today though, no idea what it is Confused they seem to have stopped now however.

CaptainHetty · 27/04/2012 16:30

17+4, not 18+4. FFS :o

babybrain3 · 27/04/2012 16:43

I thought we were supposed to feel them earlier with subsequent babies... Sad

babybrain3 · 27/04/2012 16:45

I think I might cave and get a Doppler, seeing as midwives don't seem to be in any kind of rush to listen for a heartbeat-would also be nice for dc to hear it too.... Grin think I've convinced myself....

CaptainHetty · 27/04/2012 17:06

I've always been told that too, Babybrain but actually, with my third I didn't feel anything until I was about 21 weeks...
