No symptoms here bubble apart from the expanding paunch, really nothing. Can't wait until 16 week app to hear heartbeat to be reassured everything is ok in there. I started to feel DD move around 20 weeks, hope it's sooner this time.

Re maternity clothes, get thee to an NCT nearly new sale, I stocked up for peanuts and some of it is really nice from Gap, Isabella Oliver etc. A friend recommended the H&M mat jeggings, haven't checked them out myself yet but they look great on her!

Winnie81 · 06/04/2012 10:11

Morning all Grin

Well I have been referred for physio as my back has been painfully twinging. I thought it was trapped nerve but doc said it's where everything is stretching due to being preggers! Oh great! I'm only 14+3 only another 25 weeks left of PAIN!!

Good luck emmie for your stitch next week.

I have my amnio on Thursday hope they can do it!

Have a fab Easter everyone GrinGrin

14 weeks today ...woop woop [bugrin]
The tummy seems to have popped a bit. Still just look fat but I can feel my uterus under all the flab Blush

I am no longer nauseous or sick but I do have horrid heart burn and am still very tired. Today I am mostly grumpy though. Hubby and the kids are keeping a respectful distance [bubiscuit]

Winnie I hope the amnio goes ok. Please come back and let us know.

I need to buy some maternity clothes but I just can't do it. I get the terrible guilts when it comes to spending money on myself and I just cant click buy on anything. I am gonna end up living in my pj bottoms I just know it! Blush

Hello :)

Room for an extra one?

Am 14 weeks, expectind dc3, have two boys already. I've been very cautious about joining an AN thread so far due to a mmc last year and a heavy bleed in week 7 this time.....but here I am, feeling slightly braver! We had a nuchal scan last night and baby was incredibly wriggly and beautiful looking (pregnant rose tint goggles on everyone here!) so I guess I feel a bit safer :)

Morning all and hi wellies, welcome and congrats! I have lots of respect for those going for their 3rd/4th - the thought of my 2nd is filling me with terror!

I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy any maternity clothes. The trouble is, I don't have many clothes generally, so I start most days a bit stumped. I'm still wearing my (only pair of) fat jeans post DS as I had 1/2 stone I was intending to lose - never quite found the right time [bugrin] They're starting to fall apart though.

I've got a couple of weddings to go to this summer - one in late May, the other early July...I find it really difficult to know what size I'll be [buconfused]

Last time round I was still in non-maternity stuff at more than 20wks - had a teeny tiny bumplet. Is it likely to be bigger this time? I definitely have more flab but my fat jeans are still comfy (I pretend the muffin tops don't exist)

Happy Easter everyone...chocolate makes me feel unbelievably nauseous (still!) but I'm sure I'll manage to choke some down [buwink]
Sorry, excessive bunny emoticon use.

welliesandpyjamas · 07/04/2012 15:11

Thank you dameflat!

FWIW my bumps have definitely increased each time. I thought I was crazy big with ds2 but this time it is ridiculous!! I already look now like I did at the end of the 2nd trimester last time! I blame it on my short height and smallish build, making the bump look exaggerated [denial]

Pheebs24 · 07/04/2012 19:45

Hi folks!

Thanks pinpan - I'm going to have to ring and find out what scanning equipment is available, and might even see about an extra private one if it means dh would get to see the bean bouncing :)

And loopyla - we could well be dating buddies, but won't know til the 16th - I'm rubbish with dates and convinced my dh said it would be 25th Oct but he now says 28th... to be honest I think I look a bit big and have been teased about twins but I'm reassuring myself I've just got fat. Feel even more sick at the thought of getting two on my first go!

Started telling friends now which is the bit I was looking forward to, and my eldest nephew has offered Sid as a potential name, the younger prefers his own name, Ollie. Or Dustbin Beaver - apparently from Moshi Monsters?!?

Pheebs24 · 07/04/2012 19:50

Argh! missed the bunnies - replacing former smiley with [bugrin] as my only easter treat, chocolate makes me well queezy too Dame that and tea were my two fave treats but the bean has put paid to both...

Pheebs24 · 07/04/2012 20:02

Sorry! Babybrain attack - I'll try and put everything on the one post next time [buconfused] but I wanted to know if any of you had seen this: www.newdadssurvivalguide.com/index.html

DH has sent it to me saying he's been 'researching' it looks really helpful and def gives good advice - the two top tips for avoiding an argument with a sick and hormonal mum-to-be is 'Say sorry' and 'Say sorry again' lols

Emmiedarling · 07/04/2012 20:45

I just ate a white magnum. NOM NOM NOM. Firsr time i've eaten chocolate since I found out I was expecting! (ahem...well nearly...)

Thanks for the link Pheebs - emailed it on to the father of my bump.

No news here really. Went with my best friend on her wedding dress hunt. It was a hugely special day and I can not wait to be bridesmaid!

Is anyone having a scan at 17 weeks? I have one then and wondered if its instead of my 20 week scan or an extra one because of the cervical stitch...

Guccigirl79 · 08/04/2012 10:01

Congrats on the magnum Emmie I bought some a couple of weeks ago & realised I'd eaten the lot when DP went to get one lol am looking forward to gorging on chocolate today already had a hot cross bun [bushock] & have a sausage & egg bap planned in a little while too!! (anyone else noticed it's all about food today lol)

In other news I may finally tint my hair later if I can be arsed to deal with the wig!!!

GizzyBoo · 08/04/2012 12:10

Happy Easter every one [busmile]

I am a little grrrrrr again this morning. Hubby had whisky last night, then proceeded to keep me up half the night by taking up all of the bed and snoring like a steam train. We are out for dinner tonight and guess who has been named driver (yet again). The 2 older kids stayed out last night and won't be home until later tonight. They both want picking up after dinner so guess who's job that will be! And they don't even want to be with me for Easter.
Oh and the water heater has broken! I have no hot water! I want to hide in a hot bubbly bath for 2 hours! [buangry]

Bloody hormones [bublush]

Hubby is now lighting the stove as that also runs the heating and hot water. Don't really need the heating but without my snooze in the bath I might just be a bit of a grump!

On another note I swear I can feel the wee button doing flips!! Shock
I'm only 14+2 but it is my 4th so is possible. I keep doubting myself but I am sure that is what it is. I hope so anyway, as it is at least making my smile through the scowling and growling [bublush][bugrin]

welliesandpyjamas · 08/04/2012 18:13

I'm pretty sure you can, gizzyboo. I'm 14.4 and have definitely been feeling the 'sensation' of movement for a while. Not kicks directly yet obviously, but that tightening of the insides you get with or because of the movements iykwim?? It's nice (and bloomin reassuring for anxiety-ridden pregnant ones like me!).

MissPollysTrolleyed · 08/04/2012 18:18

Happy Easter everyone. Hope you're all enjoying lots of chocolate [busmile].

Emmie I'm so impressed that you've eaten no chocolate since you found out you're pregnant. I have turned into a chocolate and sweets monster. I feel pretty guilty but that guilt is not translating into abstention. Today so far, it's been a bag of mini eggs, a handful of Haribo and two slices of PinPan's lemon cake. Thanks PinPan: you've made me and my DH very happy people today (but turned my DS into a lunactic. He doesn't usually eat sweet things but I gave him some cake and he loved it but the sugar drove him beserk! Poor LO is probably doing cartwheels too with all the sugar although is probably more used to sugar than DS).

Gizzyboo I think it is possible that you'd feel movement this early. My pregnancy book says that you're likely to feel movement about 16 weeks with a second or subsequent baby but "may feel movement sooner, maybe later".

DameFlat I posted elsewhere about my growing bump. I had no bump and no weight gain until this week when my MS receded and I promptly put on four pounds and now look like I've stuffed a football up my jumper [bublush]. I had a very neat bump throughout last time but think that I'm going to be the size of a house very soon if things continue at this rate.

Anyway, I seem to have fallen off the list somehow so am popping myself back on. I do keep in touch with the world of sprouting pips on my phone but have struggled to post regularly.

Sorry for the ramble! You're clearly lucky I've been too ill to post recently.

Happy Easter all! [busmile] My Easter tragedy is not getting a chocolate egg, thinking I'd be able to get a cheap one today (Monday) and finding that there are none in my local supermarket! [bushock] Going to hunt down a larger shop tomorrow. [bugrin]

Apart from that, not much going on here apart from having spent the weekend eating A LOT and walking slightly too much (sore feet but feel sort of worthy). I'm 16 weeks now (give or take a couple of days) and I have been wondering, just for the last 2 days, if I can feel something inside. It's my first so I know it's fairly unlikely, but I've got a fair bump already (clearly baby to me, but I still feel like everyone else probably thinks I've just eaten too much cake). Can't quite convince myself enough to tell DH though, and get his hopes up! Anyway, before the weekend I had a bump but no weight gain, but I have yet to stand on the scales after the recent feasting...

Gizzy, I've got slight designated driver grrr as well - it's not so much that I mind not drinking (though I mind more than I thought I would!), but I'm so tired by the end of an evening that I feel just as likely to drive into the ditch as DH after a couple of pints! Hmm

GizzyBoo · 09/04/2012 08:43

That is just it Pinpan I know I can't drink anyway but hate the fact I am not asked but it is either assumed or I am volunteered for giving lifts! It makes me rather grumpy. I am also hanging most evenings by 8pm so just cant be bothered going out!

And now I get to spend the day watching hubby doing a brilliant impression of a dying swan flouncing around the place [buhmm]

Thanks MissPolly and Wellies I am now sure it is the wee button I can feel. No kicks as such but a fluttery feeling now and then. It's lovely and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy Grin

No one bought me an egg either [busad]

CaptainHetty · 09/04/2012 09:24

Hi girls,

I'm 15 weeks today and I've definitely felt some movement from Flump. First one was last week when I'd accidentally rolled onto my tummy in the night and I when I woke up I could feel him (convinced it's a boy...) moving probably because my lardy arse was squishing it. Can't wait til I can feel the more definite, big strong kicks, and til OH can feel them as well :o

I have a lovely chocolate bunny sitting on the dining table staring at me, trying to see how long I can resist it before I give in and scoff the lot. Because the baby wants it, obviously.

Put on a pair of maternity linen trousers yesterday and ahhh I'd not been so comfortable in weeks! They're amazing!

Hey girls.
Hope your all enjoying the long weekend. Ds1s 11th birthday today Grin Doesn't time fly! Can still remember my labour like yesterday Grin

Beeblebear · 09/04/2012 15:17

God norkling all.

O ofne trip easter minutes has dissipated. Not sure how that happened!

Damn auto correct. Try that again.

Good morning all.

One of the easter bunnies has disappeared.

Two hours until scan. Got to drink all this water. gosh I hope I don't throw up out wee myself .

GizzyBoo · 09/04/2012 17:09

Hope it went OK Beeble
My scan letter told me I didn't need to drink any more than I normally would and a full bladder wasn't necessary. I just sipped bottle water in the hour before as I would at any other time.

I have given in and ordered a couple of bargain trousers off ebay. I am looking forward to not having my wee bump cut in half! Grin
