Emmiedarling · 24/03/2012 19:43

I don't know why now particular, but im feeling really low. Really lonely actually. I hate that I havent got anyone in my life. :(

Guccigirl79 · 24/03/2012 19:48

Emmie So sorry you're feeling low hunny,do you have anyone that can come over to you? Have something lovely to eat & put a feel good film on to distract you,it's not good to be in that low place & on your own. Please phone somebody & talk to them don't bottle anything up.
I will come back on later to check that you're doing ok :) xxx

Emmiedarling · 24/03/2012 20:39

GucciGirl - thanks so much for your kind words.

I think that is precisely why im feeling so low...it's the fact I dont have anyone to turn to. No partner. No family (I have family but they're not talking to me)

I've found an easter egg, so all is not lost!

Guccigirl79 · 25/03/2012 09:34

Morning Emmie Did you sleep at all??? Glad you found an easter egg :)
Hope you don't mind me asking, why are your family being so difficult when you need them most?

Have you got anything to keep you busy today?

Emmiedarling · 25/03/2012 11:18

I did sleep - very well actually and I think it is just what I needed.

I have though, woken up with a bloody cough and sore throat!

My family do not approve of my pregnancy. They think I am making a terrible mistake. (I obviously think the complete opposite)

I do not have a partner and am not married. These are the two sticking points. Plus I am 28 - which they believe is too young.

The father of the baby was a fleeting affair mainly to boost my confidence after splitting up with my very, very long term partner in the summer of last year. (We were together 10 years). It ended very badly with him, and we do not ever speak. I was pregnant with his child when we split up and I was absolutely devestated. I went down to 5 stone 13lbs and miscarrided the baby. I was inconsolable.

So I understand my family's concerns, but I am the happiest I've been in such a long time (bar last night!)

I'd only known the babys father 2 months before I fell pregnant. He does not want to be with me now. And that's okay with me as I am a strong, independant girl.

Sorry for my whole life story. Haha.

I'm finding this site to be full of such lovely people that I know I can talk freely without being judged.

Much love and good sunday wishes,

Emmie x

babybrain3 · 25/03/2012 12:40

Pleased to hear you are much happier and strong today. Grin

newtonupontheheath · 25/03/2012 13:04

Hi everybody...Please can I join? (I'll bring cake...) I was on the September thread but 12week scan earlier in the week has moved my edd to 1st October.

I think chances are, baby will e born in September as DS was a few days early and this baby was all curled up at scan so could be further along. In a way I'm glad as we are at a wedding at the other end of the country in the middle of September so I'll get less hassle from my family for travelling so far if I'm not as far on!

So hi Smile off to catch up on the rest of the thread...

GizzyBoo · 25/03/2012 19:35

eeeeek bags are packed, hotels booked and ferry tickets in my bag. Im a wee bit excited about our mini break in Glasgow Grin
And the best bit.....I get to see the wee button on Tuesday Grin

Bubble I hope you are ok. I will be thinking of you tomorrow xx

emmie I'm glad you had a better night and are feeling more positive.

Welcome newton. I'm sure there will be more people about tomorrow. Weekends tend to be a bit quiet in here xx

Hope everyone else is well. x

Glad you had a better night emmie, sorry you have a sore throat though!

Bubble, we are all thinking of you and sending support. (((un-MNlike hugs)))

Hi Newton - I'll see you a Brew to go with that cake! There are a few of us on the Sept/Oct borderline here - I'm sure you'll feel v welcome!

gizzy - squeee for seeing teeny baby very very soon x

Had a quiet-ish weekend here, just now trying to sort out my planning for next week and wishing it was 8.20 not 9.20! Feeling a LOT better with sickness now (13+2) but tiredness taking over...

pinpan · 26/03/2012 08:05

Squee is definitely the word for scans!

Good luck bubblebell, we've all got our fingers crossed for you.

Hi Newton, I'm a September lurker too - relievedly no longer feeling sick (stuffing my face actually, you should have seen the rate the pancakes, bacon and maple syrup went down yesterday Grin) but utterly exhausted by the end of the day. Biscuit

Hope the sore throat gets better soon emmie! Save us all a bit of easter egg...

Bubblebell1 · 26/03/2012 08:38

Thanks girls. I'm still spotting this awful brown gloop. Sad
Feeling scared but trying to be positive that everything will be ok.

Scan this morning at 10.20. I so hope everything is ok

newtonupontheheath · 26/03/2012 09:05

Good luck for today Bubble

Guccigirl79 · 26/03/2012 09:12

Morning ladies, welcome Newton, had quite busy day yesterday so couldnt get on here to see how you're all doing & was too knackered to pick pooter up last night lol Grin

Bubble I sincerely hope all is well at your scan, what time is it booked for? I'm keeping everything crossed for you :)

Emmie, dont worry about 'giving your life story' as you put it,sometimes we all nedd to give a bit more away in order to deal with events.I'm sure however, that your family will come around once they see how happy you are & once they see a picture of tiddler!!! We're always here to chat whatever the subject & you can always inbox if you'd prefer some privacy :) xx

In other news, has anyone noticed a follicle shut down north of the shoulders??!! I have noticed in the last week that my hair has more or less stopped releasing old hair (which is completely normal when up duffed) so I cant decide if I'm looking forward to my barnett being even heavier than usual!! Thank god I'm getting my wig chopped today by my amazing friend & will do hers in return.I can also now finally put a tint on it!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! My regrowth has never been so bad!!! Lol
So if any of you lovely ladies have any hair worries throughout the time we're on here feel free to pick my brains :) I have been in the trade 17 years Shock

Anyhoo apologies for the ramble, hope the sun is shining wherever you are today & best of British to all those with scans/app's today.

Much love, G xx

Bubblebell1 · 26/03/2012 11:52

Hi girls. Just to let you know that even tho I an still bleeding baby is fine. So so happy Grin over 12 weeks now so out of the woods (I hope )

MakeTeaNotWar · 26/03/2012 12:15

Fantastic news bubble! Were they able to pinpoint any cause? Feet up and an imaginary Wine for you - cheers!

Bubblebell1 · 26/03/2012 13:31

No unfortunately not. They believe it's my cervix. It's eroding and had alot removed. They said that I may bleed throughout the pregnancy.
I'm so relieved everything is ok. Yet I still panic when I see blood. I hope everyone else is ok.
Good luck with up coming scan everybody.
Mine nuchal and cervical scan is on Wednesday. Can't wait to see my little bean again Grin

CaptainHetty · 26/03/2012 13:58

Excellent new MsInterpret love hearing about all the scans! Smile

DameFlat yes I was a little surprised but super touched nonetheless! Smile

Emmie it really sounds like you?re in a much better place than you have been?I really hope your family come around soon as it?s their new niece/nephew/cousin/grandchild you?re carrying! In the meantime, you have us, as always Thanks

Welcome newton, get comfy and help yourself to a Biscuit & a Brew

Sounds exciting Gizzy I love mini breaks!! Grin

I?ve got my booking appointment tomorrow - what should I expect? Any advice ladies who have had them?

McPopcornMouseNFries · 26/03/2012 14:44

Loopy my booking appt was beyond dull - just a lot of paperwork and leaflets and general information overload!

Guccigirl79 · 26/03/2012 16:23

Have a reasonably full bladder too Loopy as MW will want a sample & will probably take some blood, otherwise I echo McPopcorn :)

Yayyyyyyy!! Bubble you must be soooo relieved!!! really happy you had pleasant news out of it :)

babybrain3 · 26/03/2012 17:39

Congratulations *bubble-I'm so pleased for you! I have a friend who always bleeds through her pregnancies, it's soo worrying I know.

gizzy please will you cut my hair?? It really needs cutting but I hate going to the hairdressers.... Confused

Got my scan date through finally-it's next tues!!

Anyone been thinking of names yet?? Dp and i started thinking at the weekend, but so far can only think of boys names-wonder if that means its a boy???? Confused

Pezzina · 26/03/2012 20:22

Hi everyone,

Bubble so glad the baby is fine - that is such good news. Gizzy hope you have a fab trip. What day is your scan?

Now that we have all started getting the 12 week scan done - has anyone tried out the "nub theory" on their 12 week scan picture? Nub Theory

Rubbish or some truth in it - what do you think?

According to our scan picture we're going to have a boy. I even dug out our DD's 12 week scan picture and it predicted a girl.

Bubblebell1 · 26/03/2012 20:39

pezzina I couldn't see from this picture. I am hoping to get a better look on Wednesday.
I am dying to know what flavour this bean is. Smile

cakes82 · 26/03/2012 20:43

Nub theory? I thought gender couldn't be figured out for another few weeks?
I had my 12 wk scan Fri and the sonographer kept refering to baby as him!

Bubble Glad baby is ok!

Guccigirl79 · 26/03/2012 21:30

I told my friend today before we started mammoth job that was both our hairs lol & we cried together for most of the time we were together & she keeps texting me saying how happy she is & that she predicts tiddler to be 'pink' as my Dad & two of my other really close friends that know.Must admit now more folk are saying they think it'll be pink the idea of bringing another willy into the house doesnt float my boat, how wrong am I????!!! It shouldn't matter I know but I'm starting to agree.....
