Lol at the BP testing effect of your mother fishcake. We will brook no argument but of course your scan will be fine, baby will be growing well and waving on the scan. So your dd stopped growing at 35 weeks last time? Do they know what happened?

I'm marginally better at driving the bus- parking sensors help,.but are so sensitive I am frequently found jumping in and out to physically see for myself how close I am to whatever it thinks I'm going to hit!!! I go slowly too. My mother has been known to say 'you do realize you're doing 25 mph?!' Feels fast to me!!!

purple must be in hospital with her baby, she must!!

musicalmrs · 11/03/2012 22:14

Fishcake, lots of extra brooking coming your way. 35 weeks tomorrow, wow! As you're a brooker this time round, everything will be absolutely wonderful. and your mother won't have too much of an effect on your blood pressure, I'm sure..!

Biscuits, glad things are going well! The aching sounds a bit rubbish, but after what your body has been through I suppose it's completely natural! So glad you're having a lovely honeymoon stage- brooking it lasts ;)

Scream, so glad you went and got monitored, though I'm sorry it didn't quite live up to what you were hoping and you're still concerned. Definitely go back tomorrow if you're still worried - maybe you need to be a bit more clear about your specific concerns so they do something a little more specific to check? (unless you tried that today and they still only did what they did!). I hope if you do have to go tomorrow you not only have a more reassuring experience, but a less painful one too.

Things are going ok ish with the house buying thanks! The mortgage has been finalised, and we have the first set of contracts through to sign. There are a few queries, but it seems as if our solicitors are querying sensible things and being quite useful! We only have a couple of points we're not certain about on the paperwork, which DH will be inquiring after tomorrow :) The most frustrating thing at this point is we have no estimated date of completion - still waiting for too much further up the chain. Ah well, I suppose we'll see what happens! Doesn't really matter if we move before or after LO's arrival, especially as they'll be in our room to begin with giving us time to decorate the nursery. I'll just be much happier when we have an idea of a date! :)

Does anyone have any fantastic cures for rib pain? I've really started suffering recently! I've done the arm bent over the head thing (can't remember where I heard about that?) but it looks a bit bizarre when on the train.. Grin

Three weeks left at work and counting..!

DreamingOfPeace · 11/03/2012 22:52

muscial, I was very specific about my concerns- puking, more uncomfortable v string BH and reduced movement- I wondered if i'd be scanned to check if cervix shut, babies moving etc but only trace too. Not sure if the peaks/ accelerations are due to movements as actually there were more for my not-moving T2 than wriggling T1 (when they finally got him breifly!), or if this is a normal HB pattern for a foetus in the womb, to ensure heart copes with demands of life?! Not sure thoguh.

Rib pain. Dire. I've not found a cure bar arm over head and I've tried lots...

DreamingOfPeace · 11/03/2012 22:52

string?! strong...

Biscuitsandtea · 12/03/2012 06:32

Wowsers - big night of feeds - mostly feeding every 2 hours Confused so up for an hour to feed, check nappy, settle again, then an hours sleep if I'm lucky

Oh, and my norks hurt! Ouchie!

Oh, and where is Purple?

Hope everyone else is ok and in particular that all relevant babies are wriggling and not making their mummies worried

hawthers · 12/03/2012 06:34

Ah biscuits welcome to the knackered gang

Biscuitsandtea · 12/03/2012 08:02
Grin

Cheers Hawthers Smile

farfallarocks · 12/03/2012 08:35

Wonderful news biscuits and too

Back from the most wonderful holiday which really helped with the lack of mentalling. Poor DH was forced to analyses loo paper though 'er yes, farfalla, that is just pee, no, there is no hint of brown' Blush

6 week scan on Weds (metal) just to check its not ectopic as apparently on heparin that can be fairly catastophic, I know it might be too early to see a heartbeat so am trying to prepare myself for that.

Will catch up with you all properly now, so many impending labours this is exciting!

Biscuitsandtea · 12/03/2012 08:55

Far how lovely to see you back and so glad you managed to get away from the mentalling a bit. Grin at your DH having to analyse the loo paper though! Grin

Will be brooking for Wednesday xx

hawthers · 12/03/2012 09:02

Full brooking powers aimed at you far for wed.

PopcornMouseInBoots · 12/03/2012 09:30

Massive congratulations to too Mr Too and Maia!

Musical let me know how you get on with the lanolin-free nipple creams, I think I'll probably go that route out of pfb-ness caution :)

Good luck far - doesn't time fly!!!

First MW appointment Wednesday, I'm super excited :)

pommedechocolat · 12/03/2012 09:35

Farfalla - lots of brooking for all being well and being lucky enough to see a hb already for extra reassurance! Are you on fragmin/clexane?

Popcorn - yay for mw app!

Biscuits - yay for more feeding at least being up in the night feels worth it when they're feeding well. I had a sleep of 2 hours 50 mins last night between eleven and two!! Very exciting Smile

farfallarocks · 12/03/2012 10:09

Thanks everyone, pomme yes I am on clexane, I am not finding the jabs too bad and actually look forward to them as I feel like I am doing something positive to maintain this pregnancy :)

pop so exciting about the midwife appointment, I have not even been to my GP yet but will do if the 6 week scan goes ok and get the ball rolling. The 6 week scan is private and I want to get back into the NHS system!!!

pommedechocolat · 12/03/2012 10:26

I had clexane with dd1 (fragmin with dd2). I always found the clexane needles a bit blunt like you had to push extra hard to get it in.

I agree though, the injections are a bit annoying but what they do is magical so it doesn't matter Smile

cakes82 · 12/03/2012 10:52

Glad all is going well Far
Brilliant Pop with mw appt, I still haven't heard from mine :(

PopcornMouseInBoots · 12/03/2012 11:07

Really cakes ? I'd give the GP a call, you must be 10 1/2 weeks now? I'd have thought you'd at least have had an appointment letter by now?

cakes82 · 12/03/2012 11:26

I rang the midwife a couple of weeks ago to ask and was told I will hear from her around well now! lol Gonna ring again tomorrow or wed.
I've got my scan appt on 23rd March, at this rate i'll be going to scan without any mw notes lol

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 12/03/2012 12:39

Morning Afternoon all!

I keep hoping for news from Purple! If she had a nice straightforward sneeze birth on Saturday following her sweep she might even be coming home today! Still No Brooking hard until we have confirmation.

Great to hear from Farfalla as well! I'll be No Brooking for your scan, along with Dream's placental tests and Fishcake's growth scan. Plus Popcorn's mw appt of course! It's a busy week for us No Brookers! I also have my big cs chat with consultant C tomorrow!

I think my headache is slightly improved. Well, either it's fractionally improved or I've got used to living life in grey with a backing track of heavy metal! I still can't handle direct light, and paracetamol has less impact on it than icing sugar, but I feel less like I want to take out my own eyeballs and pour ice cold water into my skull to stop the pain! Grin Right now I would settle for just dunking my whole head in a bucket of icy cold water!

I think there were slightly stronger movements last night. Nothing like the good old days of last week, but an improvement of the hours of quiet stillness yesterday. I've spoken to my imw about it all though and she agrees that so long as the movements don't decrease any further I can probably give the hospital a miss today and discuss it with the consultant tomorrow.

I'm glad Ethan has completely got the hang of the feeding thing now! Excellent work Biscuits! I hope you'll be able to squeeze a bit more sleep into the new routine soon though! Also yay for Pomme having a slightly longer stretch of sleep last night. Fingers crossed that stretch of time will just keep getting longer!

I hope Cakes gets a confirmed appointment soon! Sometimes you just need to hassle them a little, especially at the beginning! It'll be fine in the end though, as soon as they realise you're a No Brooker they'll fall into line! Wink

musicalmrs · 12/03/2012 12:54

Hi all!

Dream, I think it's definitely worth being v specific. When I went to A&E the second time (early in pg) I was much more clued up about what I was worried about and what I wanted- and they did exactly as I asked Grin. The first time was atrocious, as I hadn't a clue, and neither had they. Sorry to hear you haven't found anything else to cope with rib pain - I really can't complain about mine when yours must be a zillion times worse!

Biscuits, hope you're coping ok with the knackered-ness!

Far, glad you had a wonderful holiday! Will be brooking like mad for your scan on Wednesday :) I think at a similar stage to you, I didn't see a heartbeat, but they could see the yolk sac, which was a good sign - I hope you get to see something similarly reassuring :)

Cakes, how strange that you haven't had a booking in appointment yet. Hope it all gets sorted soon.

Popcorn, I'll report back! Yay for an imminent first midwife appointment!

Where's Purple?! Hope she's enjoying keeping us in suspense!

Scream, I'm glad your headache has improved slightly, though rubbish that it's still putting a haze on everything :( Glad LO has started moving a little more, and that you can give the hospital a miss today at least.

Feeling completely exhausted and aching all over today. Found the walk and the commute really hard work, similarly the first hour or so of working. If this is how I feel for the office work - which is a relatively easy day - I'm dreading the teaching tomorrow, and the horrendous Tuesday commute. Maybe I'll have to stock up on creme eggs or something to keep me going...

On a lighter note, just opened my yoghurt and managed to spray it all over me! I'm now wearing a purple top with pink cherry yoghurt splodges all over. New fashion statement maybe?

NinjaChipmunk · 12/03/2012 13:08

Hello! What a lovely sunny day it is!
far lovely to see you, glad you had a lovely holiday and best of brooking luck for weds.
pop good luck for weds too, be prepared to answer a billion questions several times over if its your booking appointment!
cakes I would hassle them for the mw but I had my booking appointment on the Monday and the 12 week scan on the Thursday so it may well all fall into place beautifully!
scream glad to hear you are feeling marginally better and movements have increased a little. Hope it ramps up a gear shortly for you and also good luck with consultant c!

Hope all new babies/ mums/ siblings/ dads are well and will soon be getting enough sleep.

Nothing much to report here, at work, bit apathetic but still getting on with it. Looking outside and wishing I was sat in the sunshine somewhere! Still, tomorrow is my day so might plan to do something nice with ds.
Be back later x

BartletForAmerica · 12/03/2012 13:30

Well done, Too! Thrilled about the arrival of Maia!

DreamingOfPeace · 12/03/2012 14:54

cakes, I had my booking in appointment, but it was a mw who didn't normally work there, and couldn't find a set of green notes and so said she'd do it back at her normal base, write her bit up and send them to me pre-scan. I discovered to my horror 3 days when I was twitchy at still no notes before the scan that the sonographer will not scan you in our area without the notes- luckily I got through to the usual mw that day who I saw the next and got them just in time- so if I was you I'd chase it up!!!!!

Delighted to see you back far, love ythe obsessive loo roll checking I never do it, certainly not now Hoping for a nice yolk sac, and maybe even a HB for you on wed.

Hope your appointment is good pop

scream Fingers crossed for a date for you even on Tue, and at the very bare minimum an agreement for elcs. What a horrible migraine... Glad baby wriggling a bit more, I do wonder if you feeling so ill affects it, days wehen DD had had me up all night and I was so tired I was hardly coping I had less movement. I am going to hope tis no more than that Smile And you'll see what the consultant says tomorrrow anyway- someone with actual knowledge Grin

purple has had him, hasn't she?! And is torturing us by spending time with her newborn, not forcing er DH to update us and making us wait, right?! I'm so impatient to hear from her!!!

But again, I'm meant to be resting, laters all

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 12/03/2012 16:29

You know they say careful what you wish for?
Had sweep first at MW check up, then bp check, MW found my pulse very fast but bp ok. However, she was really, really worried about crazy pulse and sent me to the big hospital. Where, my bp was scary high... So they induced me. Anyway, feel a bit angry/upset over my labour and the events therein. But, I have the most beautiful son, 7lb 8oz of him! Born 3am Sunday :)

He is another idle eater and I have had to really use my knowledge to get him latched and going as he just will not open his mouth wide enough! And is really sleepy. So pleased to have the training I do, although the anxiety is still there!

Have only just got home, so that is why there is a delay and I feel exhausted and a bit sad today, I read my birth notes and they just really highlighted the low points. I am besotted though and seeing Dd with him for the first time today was wonderful :)

DH has gone shopping for things like pate and goats camembert, YUM. And I can't tell you how glad I am to not be pregnant anymore! Later brookers!

Oh best thing ever, I have had no visitors, besides Mother in law who has been so surprisingly respectful I might let her hold him. Last time with Dd she got really stressed with all passing around visitors, when new babies, need cuddles with Mummy, Daddy skin to skin, food, clean bum, and that is it! IMO.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 12/03/2012 16:35

Purple!!!!! It's so good to have you back! You have been sorely missed.

Congratulations on your gorgeous new son! Do you mind if I ask what his name is? I'm sure you'll have the bfing sorted in no time. Enjoy your newborn snuggles and seeing your DD interact with him! Congratulations to the whole Purple household!

I'm very sorry you didn't get the sneeze birth you were entitled to! I'm glad you've still ended up with a perfect little boy, but it must be disappointing to have had a birth you weren't happy with. When you have time / feel up to it, do share your story and we'll all rant on your behalf!!

For now though, oooooooooooooooo!! Grin Well done you for delivering a lovely little boy, and enjoy being home!!
