Hello ladies! I can't wait to see how many No Brooking babies arrive during the course of this thread!! Do you realise we have now filled SEVEN threads (and that's just the graduates!) That's 7000 posts and counting!

Let's all get settled in for some serious No Brooking, we have a lot of painless sneeze births to get through over the next couple of weeks!

Well done biscuits!! What a gorgeous name too.

Glad all went well with the vb.

Brooking babies are going in boy girl order at the moment :)

musicalmrs · 09/03/2012 00:27

Congratulations Biscuits! I hope you and Ethan are doing well, and that you're enjoying plenty of newborn snuggles :-) Gorgeous name!

Wow... They mean it when they say second labours are quicker...!

Hoping you're getting some sleep Too!

Biscuitsandtea · 09/03/2012 02:44

So, we're up on the ward now. DH has gone home - he should get at least 5 mins sleep before he has to get up to come back tomorrow ConfusedSmile

Sleep is completely evading me now - silly endorphins!!

Too hope you're getting some good sleep. You will see I've got my birth out of the way so I'm not distracted by contractions etc tomorrow and will be commencing proper brooking.

Ethan is sleeping beautifully - we have taken photos to remind us, should it become an issue, that he did in fact sleep at least once!

I am getting some after pains - so far they're just like period pains.

I'm all stitched up - apparently I got the head out (my phone just hilariously autocorrected that to got the RAC out Hmm) without a tear but then the shoulders got a wee bit stuck and that was what tore Confused. Will be interesting to see how painful it all is tomorrow once all the anaesthetic etc has worn off?

Hope everyone else is well.

And would you believe I had great phone reception in the delivery room and on the ward so I'll be able to enjoy Too's stitch by stitch updates later Grin

Thank you all as well for all the support - it really does mean a lot to know that you're all thinking of us Smile. I was so keen to update you all when we'd had him Grin

Right, I'm off to stare at this baby some more Smile

pommedechocolat · 09/03/2012 04:36

biscuits - I think I speak for everyone when I say we were very glad you had phone signal too! Aww, I loved the post birth high so much this time, especially as this time I had chocolate to scoff ;).

Sending you lots of hugs, haribo and giant chocolate buttons.

too - hope you're managing to get some sleep in. Brooking for you now!

Biscuitsandtea · 09/03/2012 04:38

Thanks Pomme Smile

I'm currently sat here obsessively watching him cough up mucus and snot - nice!

Biscuitsandtea · 09/03/2012 04:39

And I am just debating whether to go rifling in my bag to see if DH left me the creme eggs Smile

jaggythistle · 09/03/2012 05:33

congratulations on your lovely boy biscuits!

these sneeze births are amazing eh. Shock

BeedleTheBard · 09/03/2012 05:39

Congratulations biscuits and well done for the sneeze birth Grin

And jaggy I also felt all gooey reading about the newborn snuggles, and I don't have the excuse of being pregnant yet, though as was pointed out earlier, there's lots of spaces coming free on this thread soon

Wishing you lots of luck for this morning too

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 09/03/2012 06:01

Congratulations Biscuits! Ethan Thomas is such a lovely name! Grin Thanks Smile Gosh, what was that, 4 hours from waters to baby? Sorry to hear about the tear but getting on with the Brooking that it will all heal up nicely with no problems whatsoever. Yay for you!

Thank you all for the good wishes. I slept pretty well in the end but then woke up at 5 panicking about Bean not moving. In fact, she still hasn't moved but we got the doppler out and her little heartbeat is thumping away, so she must just be getting some sleep in before her big moment. Right, the alarm is going to go off any minute and Bean Day will officially commence!

Biscuitsandtea · 09/03/2012 06:18

Go Too - I'll be thinking of you Smile

Thank you everyone else for the lovely comments. I'm worried now though that both the mw and my sis pointed out that Ethan Thomas gave initials of ET......

Biscuitsandtea · 09/03/2012 06:19

Sorry, that read as though I was thanking everyone except Too - not the case obviously. Blush

I must get some poor English allowance for v little sleep?

hawthers · 09/03/2012 06:20

Good luck too - will be thinking of you today. So exciting!

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 09/03/2012 06:27

Wow! Our first sneeze birth! He.is obviously going to be a great feminist given the day he was born. + Full moon baby!

As for bf his stomach capacity is about 5-7mls, a teaspoon! So I am sure he is getting enough :)

Too thinking of you and your sneezesection which is obviously going to be a breeze!

Eek so then it is me next... wibble.

Biscuitsandtea · 09/03/2012 06:35

So, if Too says she's unlikely to be theatre much before 9:30, we'll give them, what, 10 mins to get the baby out? Sounds fair.

So we can expect an update undoubtedly while she's being stitched up (to help pass the time if nothing else Wink).

So that gives us 3 hours to fill this thread....Grin only 600 or so posts to go....

purple - the mw said not to worry too much if he's snotty. He's coughed up some cracking stuff overnight - and more than a teaspoon too. DS didn't feed for way longer than 24 hours and I ever seemed to do him much harm. I'm just delighted that when presented with the boob he at least seems to have some vague idea of what to do with it!

And maybe even better he's already figured out that he can't drink and cough at the same time - I'm sure DS will figure this lesson out soon.....

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 09/03/2012 06:36

Ethan James is lovely, I guess surname initial makes a difference. I too had noticed boy girl pattern!

Biscuits I hope your nether regions arecomfortable, oxytocin from bf helps heal them you know.

Love how quick you were to update as well :)

Imps7 · 09/03/2012 06:37

HOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! Thanks Thanks Thanks Biscuits! Ethan Thomas Biscuits is a super name. Love to all of you!!

Yay. Too next!!! What a great day!

Biscuitsandtea · 09/03/2012 06:37

Strike out fail

Or maybe a strike out strike out?

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 09/03/2012 06:44

Mucous coming up is great and exactly what needs to happen. So no don't worry. Feeding atm is good for setting up your milk supply, that kick start I mentioned way back, helps your boobs develop put simply.
Your milk is run by your hormones for the first colostrum bit so if baby is a bit sleepy and not bothered it is ok. You sound like you are both doing great!

GenericDietCola · 09/03/2012 07:05

Biscuits that is fantastic news! Well done you!

Will be thinking of you today Too!

How exciting!

scarletfingernail · 09/03/2012 07:09

Hooray for Biscuits and baby Ethan xx That's fantastic news, and wow a sneeze birth indeed. I'll have one of those please!

Sorry about the tear. He's a good weight for 37 weeks, do you think that's what made it so quick?

Looking forward to hearing the birth story when you get chance.

Now we know about the excellent phone signal at the hospital there'll be no excuses when it's my turn.

Starts brooking for Too

Imps7 · 09/03/2012 07:15

How are you feeling this morning Biscuits?

Biscuitsandtea · 09/03/2012 07:22

Feeling ok I think Imps, bit tired and a wee bit sore - will be interesting to see how going for a shower etc goes later.....

Will prob do birth story when I can go on the 'pooter rather than my phone.

Too will be nearly at the hospital......

fishcakefoxtrot · 09/03/2012 07:36

Congratulations biscuits Thanks!! welcome to the world little Ethan Thomas (great name).
Hope stitches not too sore, will be brooking for speedy, uncomplicated healing.
Hope you get some nice breakfast!

Biscuitsandtea · 09/03/2012 07:47

So do I Fishcake - I'm starving!!

Imps7 · 09/03/2012 07:47

Blimey, who'd have thought this time yesterday that this time tomorrow (if that makes sense) you'd have your new shiny bubba with you!

Will be checking back every two minutes frequently for Too's updates. Deep breaths Too and Mr Too - all will be well.
