1,000 posts into the very popular September 2012 thread, here's a new one, for knicker checking, boob prodding, toilet rushing, oh and eating the entire contents of the fridge or McDonalds

Here's to our tiny beans and all the lovely ladies lost along the way.

Full steam ahead to booking in and positive scans aplenty.

OP posts:

So sorry kellzi hope you are soon feeling much better. Sad

Crowette, def give the hospital a call. That's what I did (via the mw) this morning and they've fitted me in for an early scan. Really keeping fingers crossed for you.

Macaroons · 30/01/2012 19:37

So sorry kellzi and fingers crossed for you crowette try calling an EPU and see if they can arrange you to see someone tomorrow.

ballroomblitz · 30/01/2012 19:53

:( so sorry to hear that kellzi.

Calling the EPU at your local maternity hospital seems to be a good idea crowette. Hopefully it is nothing to worry about and will put your mind at rest.

Waitingfor littleR my skin is starting to get spotty too. Loads of them under my chin and I'm a picker and making them worse. When I was pregnant with ds I broke out in this weird red rash type thing on my face which only disappeared a few hours after giving birth. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen this time but goes to show what hormones can do to your skin.

I'm the same Thali. Really wanting something nice to eat but nothing appeals to me or tastes like it should.

I'm just so thirsty at the minute. Can't get enough fluids into me. I'm sure it's not helping with the running to the loo at night.

Hope you feel better soon quitcomplaining. My friend had hypernemesis at the start of her pregnancy. Ended on drips a couple of times to rehydrate her. It looks horrific.

FloydieDoydie · 30/01/2012 20:10

I'm so sorry to hear your news Kelzi. Sad

And fingers crossed for you Crow

I'm feeling very queasy pretty much all the time - I am off my food (SO not like me) although I am forcing myself to eat as it does make me feel better. It's just that thing of standing at the fridge and the thought of everything making me want to boke. Resorted to "hangover" food of chips and and cheese sandwich with salad cream today - both for lunch and dinner Blush Had hard boiled egg and lettuce with new potatoes last night!

Hotcupofteaplease · 30/01/2012 20:17

Oh Kellzi I'm so sorry; take care of yourself x

Crowette fx it's not serious, do call the EPU and get checked out

Waiting I have THE most horrific skin, pretty much since my BFP; spots galore...

I'm also freezing cold; sat in work today from 8am wearing my coat until 2pm when I finally braved the arctic temperatures; according to everyone else it really wasn't that cold and I must becoming down with something...

Dorita I think I'll probably just wait for my 12 week scan; by the time I book the private one I'll probably only be a week away from the 12 week one (it's two weeks today)

Well, DS is asleep after an exhausting day with MIL, so I am lying in a big bubble bath eating maltesters and drinking a mug of tea Blush

Hotcupofteaplease · 30/01/2012 20:28

Meant to add I hope you feel better soon Quitcomplaining; fx they can give you something to ease the sickness... I'm pretty nauseous which is bad enough, I don't think I could cope with actual sickness Sad

ThreeForTea · 30/01/2012 20:36

kelzi so sorry for your experiancing that xx

NightmareWalking · 30/01/2012 20:50

Kellzi, so sorry x

My skin has gone haywire also, it was one of the first symptoms for me and not made better by reading on the internet that 'it'll clear up after the baby's born' - I'm only 6+2 today!

I also can't find anything I want to eat so still losing weight Sad the one time I don't want to be.

sasslejaney84 · 30/01/2012 21:02

crowette really hope everything is ok for you!! Good luck huni x

I have been to an event at my church this evening and I'm so tired now!! Put DD to bed and now its time to have half an hour chilling out and maybe have something to eat and then its time for bed for me!! Night all!! Sleep well! (If that's possible!)

Dorita75 · 30/01/2012 21:04

Am sorry Kelzi and hope all the love on here will help you through.
Crowette I hope you get some reassurance

Yes to being freezing - weird considering all the food I'm eating and fat cells that must be forming...

Skin's okay but my hair needs washing nearly every day. Usually every 2 days is fine, sometimes 3 but now it just looks a bit greasy..anyone else?

Am still massively farty too...sure all the diet coke & ginger ale aren't helping but I need them!!

Hotcupofteaplease · 30/01/2012 21:25

Batiste dry shampoo Dorita; start using it now, it will become your very best friend once your DC is here & you can't find a minute to wash your hair Grin

ballroomblitz · 30/01/2012 21:26

Floydie since reading your post I have had such a notion on a cheese and salad cream sandwich. Check contents of fridge and remember salad cream is the one thing I've run out of and keep forgetting to replace.

Bless dp, he has left to go to shop to get me some :)

holls2000 · 30/01/2012 22:01

Oh bum. Slight bleeding again, rang epu who will ring back tomorrow and hopefully bring scan forward. MW this am said implantation. It's just so on and off. Bored of it now and just so worried. Oh and can't go to work till I have had scan. So feel bad about that.

Grump. Sad

crowette · 30/01/2012 23:02

Thanks ladies

Barely moved since 5pm, only to go to the loo and now just having little bit of pink spotting. Belly still feels pre-menstrual ... not crampy as such, just 'heavy'. Not holding out much hope as breasts feel normal now Sad

Am in bed now, about to sleep (or try) will call EPU in the morning, hopefully they'll see me even though I've not seen a doctor yet. OH and I both taking day off work tomorrow.

Good luck and fingers crossed for others with bleeding/spotting.

ballroomblitz · 31/01/2012 06:29

Good luck with scans today holls and crowette.

The EPU will see you anyway crowette regardless of you not seeing a doctor about being pregnant. They will just ask for your doctors/surgery name that you have registered. For instance there are women who have had to go to EPU with suspected ectopic, not realising they have been pregnant. Glad your OH will be there for you.

I have had the most awful nights sleep between shoulder pain, running to the loo every hour and ds waking me up. Ds is getting another cough so I can kiss goodbye to an unbroken night's sleep for the next few weeks. He tends to get coughs pretty bad and finds it hard to shift them so they linger on for ages after.

Dorita75 · 31/01/2012 07:12

Ha! hotcupofteaplease the festival favourite....seeing as I won't likely be going to one this year I can pretend!

Good luck today crowette I'd listen to mw, but understand that's hard, take it easy x

crowette · 31/01/2012 08:28

Am booked in for a scan at the EPU at 10.45am. No more blood overnight, just a tiny bit of pink spotting after a bowel movement after I got up this morning.

Symptoms all but gone now, so very scared - very anxious, heart is racing and I'm shaking.

I've called work and told them I won't be in today, nor is it likely I'll be in the rest of the week, whatever the outcome ... if all is well, I'll want to rest to make sure (job is physical, on feet all day, lifting, stretching and crouching down) if it's bad news, then obviously I won't be emotionally able to cope with going to work.

So now I'm drinking lots of water so I'll have a full bladder for the scan.

sasslejaney84 · 31/01/2012 08:32

Good luck crowette and holls!! Hope all goes well today with scans etc!

I think I need to get the little one to school and then get my bits done and then possibly go back to bed!! Slept terribly again!

Hope you slept a little better!!

flipflopper · 31/01/2012 08:35

So very sorry to hear your news kelzi
holls and crowette lots of luck with your scans today

I am still feeling sick as a dog, Ive also booked a private scan for thursday pm, and am now shitting myself about that, so I think that is making me feel more sick. I just couldn't wait for the 12 week scan!
I will be 8 weeks on thursday, they should be able to see a heartbeat right? Last time I had an early scan it was bad news.

sasslejaney84 · 31/01/2012 08:36

crowette just read your post, looks like you were posting at the same time!!

After I had my bleed on friday evening, my symptoms seemed to stop as well, aaccording to nhs direct this can be a physcological thing, good luck, I'm praying everything is ok for you!! X

ThreeForTea · 31/01/2012 08:53

Thinking of you ladies with scans today x

kellzi · 31/01/2012 08:55

Crow, if you start clotting or filling a large pad an hour call an ambulance(something dr did NOT tell me),
I was pouring and filling 2 or more, every half hour, and nearly bled out. Do not take risk, I was 9+ 5 though so bit more down there, fx for you

york67 · 31/01/2012 09:31

FX for everyone with scans today and those having a stressful time.x

ballroomblitz · 31/01/2012 09:57

Ahhh fingers crossed.. Can't believe I just had to google fx as I hadn't a clue what everyone was talking about and 'effects' in the context didn't make sense. I must be getting old.

OutMeAndDie · 31/01/2012 09:58

Fingers crossed for those with scans today.
