I have just ordered nearly everything!! The cot, moses basket, bedding, stuff for my hospital bag etc etc. Seems all very real now. 9 weeks 3 days to go!!

I have good news!!!!

I had my scan this afternoon. Well Baby McKayz is measuring slightly higher than average. Today she weighs 3lb 14oz which is quite nice compared to the 4lb 4oz she weighed 9 days ago. The MWs are not impressed with the private scan place as apparently it is quite common to have women in scared they have big or tiny babies. She is also head down now.

So I can still have a home birth!!!!

Also DH got me a Kindle today as my early birthday present!!

McKayz - that is great news about your scan and also fab about the Kindle. I've told myself that if I do have to sit it out in hospital for 2 weeks due to baby's position, I'm definitley getting one!

I keep hearing about more people at work that have been made redundant which is :( but still no one that I was particularly close to. I can also see how the restructure makes sense but it's tough on those that have to lose their jobs. I have to record a conference call tomorrow for my team to phone in on later in the week to explain the restructure to them. None of them are directly affected and I do have a script so hopefully won't be too bad!

Kayz - yay for good appt! Glad things went well - well done with shopping too :-)

Well first news here, i am off to see the lush mr olly murs in march next year ages away but PHWOOOOAR!! Going up to BIC so should be a fun time!

I had my last day in current role today got some nice bits and champers, and went for a lovely lunch! Very lucky and quite excited for new role on monday

off out with the girls from work tomorrow for a meal and cinema which will be nice. Have busyish weekend, dp working sat am so going into town, then to inlaws to play around with suitcases to fit in my miniscule petite boot for our hol (2 weeks monday), sunday we are supposed to be seeing friends then im gonna go hell for leather cleaning the house ready for a new start mon

DP has some time off next week coinciding with my days of so that will be lovely, and DS is staying at GPs fri night so DP and i are having a rare evening out! So I cant complain!

Oh and im now a week late for AF and feeling ... So Will POAS tomorrow morning, trying not to hope too much!

BB I have got everything crossed that you're up the duff!!!

I need a whine and a moan. I am shattered. I'm getting a decent amount of sleep most nights just waking for a wee once usually. I have never ending heartburn and I'm massive. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow to try and get something other than gaviscon. Last night I was up most of the night as nothing worked on the heartburn.

DH goes to work on May 5th and I am dreading the school runs. I usually love walking but I don't think walking roughly 26 miles a week is all the good for me at the minute.

Well antihonk from me no bfp! CD 40 and not clue where AF is! Getting fed up with the whole thing now!

Ginger - not long til scan :)

Nursery have said DS just doesn't seem himself the last couple of days. Not really naughty but not listening and a bit quieter than usual. He's also had a wee accident both days (and then another one at home this evening). Can't work out what the problem is. Could be a urine infection or sensing change coming with the baby or the fact that he's bored in the nursery room as he's been doing trial days in pre-school. Wish I knew!! He doesn't have a temperature and seems fine otherwise except maybe being a little bit more demanding. (Eg at bedtime tonight he kept changing his mind about which story he wanted so after we'd changed once I refused to change again.)
Any ideas??

Also wondering about what to get him for his birthday. A friend of mine said he'd got his 3yo a leapster explorer here and that it had been a big hit and helped him with learning letters and writing. Have any of you seen one? What do you think?

Had my leaving do last night (although one more week at work still). We went to All Bar One near Waterloo. It was a good evening and I didn't get home to bed until nearly 2am so will probably head off soon as I've got work again tomorrow!

Ses yup long cycles are the norm here since jan last year (and before that but havent got my notes anymore) my cycles have been as short as 12 days an as long as 57! Im guessing that they are annovulatory.. God only knows but i am feeling tested at the moment! Hope you find out whats bothering O, its hard to judge! Re O bday, im considering explorer for A, but heard good things about innotab also, but think its aimed at slightly older child? I quite like the cameras they have brought out, i'd e interested to see the pics!

BB- sorry for the BFN and the long cycles. I was there for so many years and it was so frustrating and I wasnt even TTC then. Do you have other PCOS symptoms?

Ses- sorry for O worries. Im wondering if it could be age related?. Or due to trying pre-school? The preschool move triggered a whole load of weird terrible 3s behaviour for us. Not listening, being silly, odd accidents (due to so much going on I think). We are still there - the listening/ contraryness and defiance are still there and showing no signs of shifting. On plus side when she is lovely she is amazing

Hi Tink- how was the concert?

It's scan day!!!!!!!!!!! Very excited !!

While excited about that, SPD/ PGP already striking here Had hints of it since 8wks but now its really not great. I did some hoovering on sat and was in agony, similar feeling of being 'broken' to when I was 30plus wks last time. Seeing osteo tomorrow, wearing mat belt and hoping for the best but in truth Im quite worried about where it will be taking me. Im hoping early intervention with the osteo will help

Sorry Kayz- sorry for being uncomfy... sympathy re heartburn hell. I took zantac in the last 3 months last time as it was so bad (as well as the tablets etc). It wasnt prescribed but i'd researched it online.. (obviously reliable! ) but I did ask my Dr about it last week and he said that while its not licensed for pregnancy (is anything?) ladies take it without issue.

Ses- do you have a view?

Ginger I hope scan goes well. Dr gave me Omeprazole and it's amazing!

Ds2 has got up covered in spots. I don't know what chicken pox really looks like but that's what we are thinking it is. So looks like meal etc will have to be canceled.
