Ginger - still Grin for you!!

Kayz - how awful :(

Kitty - hello!

Rugby - sounds very similar to me with SPD. Mornings and evenings are worst and also if I do lots of bending down. I've not spoken to anyone about it as otherwise it is quite manageable. I'm still hoping to get chance to do some pilates.
As for fitness/weight feelings, I keep weighing myself as I'm so worried about putting on too much. So far I've put on about 1st2 and am ok with that. I also hope to really put the effort in later in the summer once we've settled down a bit to a family of 4. I have used a personal trainer in the past - one of the Dad's from NCT is a qualified trainer and is very good. My problem was always trying to find the time other than of an evening.

Had a busy day here (again!) I had an hr long conference call with work this morning at 8.30am so went round to Mum's for 8.15am with Owen and his breakfast so whilst he had breakfast, I did conference call. We then went straight to Jo Jingles, then soft play, then a hair cut for Owen and then the supermarket! Phew!!!

Hi
Wow, a honk really gets everyone chatting :)

Thanks for all your lovely comments. Its slowly sinking in. I cant even be 4wks yet but am exhausted already, but that could be due to a very long day at the office. Left home before 6....

Star- are you feeling better?

Rugby- I cant believe you are now 27wks! where did that go! did it go fast for you? Did you make any name decisions yet?
Interesting about the GTT, assuming I get that far, I expect to have one this time since dd was nearly 11lbs

Ses- your day sounds great but tiring! So did your ireland trip. I had a sneaky stalk of your ireland pics- looked great Grin Blush

Kayz- how are you feeling now after the crash, I can imagine how upsetting it was..

Hi Kitty.

Kayzr · 23/02/2012 08:10

Rugby do you find it a little strange knowing roughly the day you'll give birth? I think it's pretty cool Smile

Ginger how are you feeling? Grin

Hope everyone is ok! I'm hoping for a calmer day today.

Gingerbreadlatte · 23/02/2012 10:41

Good thanks Kayz. Still don't believe it tbh!
Did another test last night, after drinking a lot of water Bfp immediately. Then again first thing today with a FR and line is very strong. Might have to accept that it's true!

hellokittyrules · 23/02/2012 10:53

ginger - Grin

hi rugby - not long for u!!
ses - u had a busy day

having a quiet day with dd2 today Grin
just popped to tesco, pets at home and next

Rugbylovingmum · 23/02/2012 13:34

Hi Ginger - I hope it's starting to sink in now, that many bfp's cannot be wrong Grin. Congratulations again!!! We were chatting about names yesterday but haven't found any names we both love yet so all suggestions welcome. The names we quite like so far are Imogen, Alice, Lily, Isla, Erin if that helps.

Kayz - I suppose it does feel strange knowing that I will most likely be having a baby girl on 15th May but for me I find it harder to imagine going into labour naturally. I keep planning things for the 2-3 weeks before my c-section date and friends point out that I could go into labour myself before then but I don't really believe it. I think I'd be totally thrown if it happened Shock.

Hi Tink, hope you are enjoying your quiet day at home.

Ses - glad you are finding the SPD managable too, I was dreading it getting worse and struggling to play with DD. I keep meaning to ask how O has been - does he know he is going to be a big brother and does he ask about the new baby. One of the NCT mums has a 6 month old DD and C loves seeing her and playing with her so she is starting to get excited that she will have a baby sister like her friend.

Kayzr · 23/02/2012 14:07

Rugby Thats what happened to my SIL in October. She had her C-section date and then went into labour 2 weeks before so had to go for an emergency one in the middle of the night.

MaybeBBaby · 23/02/2012 18:25

Hi all hope all well!

rugby i had a emcs and it was lovely, i had a date for induction (due to gest diabetes) which moved by two days due to people coming in etc. very positive experience in terms of emcs just the before and after a but shite ha! Lovely names.
I had SPD and anemia as well as the GD hoping spd wont be worse with a second as DS will obv still need me!

How is everyone? Its my bday sat and im so unexcited its unreal, I found out I was having Ds on my bday 3 years ago and I ant stop wishing Sad

Hope everyone is well!

MaybeBBaby · 23/02/2012 18:30

Oh Kayz re your other thread.. My mum was at DS birth right up to section and would've come into that if she could, she was fab altho She did say she wanted to take my pain away! If you have a good relationship with your mum I think she would be a great choice, as they see needs a stranger may not. I don't think they could advocate for you though in the same way a doula would/could as they have an emotional attachment, which is both good and bad!

I also think you've balls of steel to do a home birth im too paranoid hehe! But thats my two pence worth Smile

Gingerbreadlatte · 24/02/2012 08:01

Morning

Rugby- all lovely names... :) Meant to say re training. I've not had a trainer but friends have had lots of success. What a lovely gift from your DP Grin

What are you doing for your birthday BB?

Kayz- not seen your other thread, will see if I can find it :)

Hi kitty

Hope everyone else is ok.

Kayzr · 24/02/2012 08:11

Ginger This is my other thread.

I feel rubbish, got pretty much no sleep last night as my nose was so blocked. I was sat in bed with the tv on holding a mug of boots lemsip right under my nose. I'm glad DP is away. I am sure it wasn't a pretty sight.

MaybeBBaby · 24/02/2012 09:27

Hey ginger im having two day celebrations like the queen haha! DP of today and tomorrow, Altho only taking DS to soft play today then going for a curry for lunch today, then probably have to do a food shop (exciting Grin) then tomorrow going to nail salon with my sisters and DP apparently doing a restaurant at home tomorrow... Bless him!

DS obv better he got up ten mins ago Grin

Gingerbreadlatte · 24/02/2012 09:41

MaybeBBaby · 24/02/2012 16:17

Ive given up today Sad meal didnt happen as DS behaviour so vile today took him to soft play and he just had screaming ab dabs about everything, I know he is poorly but grr. Got all the usual young mum snide remarks and stares! Just not my day! Hope everyone else's is better!

MaybeBBaby · 25/02/2012 18:06

Today was a million times better than yesterday been thoroughly spoilt Grin

Gingerbreadlatte · 25/02/2012 19:14

Happy Birthday Bb glad you had a good day. :)

MaybeBBaby · 25/02/2012 19:26

Thanks ginger! How you feeling now?

Kayzr · 26/02/2012 12:01

Did you have a good day BB?

Has the BFP sunk in yet Ginger?

I have just had an Asda shop delivered and got 2 600ml bottles of Gaviscon. Usually it is the cider that I am happy to see but not at the minute.

I have ordered my sling this morning. I am looking forward to getting it and working it out.

My nose has started bleeding when I blow it now. I am back at the doctors tomorrow so I am hoping they can do something to unblock my nose. Nothing is working anymore not even a bowl of boiling water and olbas oil do anything.

Hope everyone is ok.

MaybeBBaby · 26/02/2012 13:24

Hi kayz yes had a lovely day, lovely weekend really as been so sunny and nice!

Ah hope they can help that sounds uncomfortable!

Gingerbreadlatte · 26/02/2012 19:41

Hi BB and Kayz,

I'm feeling ok thanks Bb. Nothing major symptom wise yet. Boobs bit sore and I'm waking early in the morning. Kayz, not sure it has sunk in! It all seems so early to be excited...but I am Grin

What pressies did you get bb?

Hope the bunged up -ness improves soon. I had really bad acid last time. Was torture so I fully sympathise.

Hi everyone else. X

MaybeBBaby · 26/02/2012 19:58

Aw ginger glad you arent suffering! I was spoiled truly, got money, accessories oh and fav gift tickets to see one of my fav comediennes (SM), really spoilt. DP cooked last night too bless him!

Gingerbreadlatte · 26/02/2012 20:02

Sounds great :)

bumpsnowjustplump · 26/02/2012 20:26

Hello all

Huge congratultions Ginger I am so pleased for you.

BB Glad you had a good birthday.

Kayz hope you are feeling better.

Ses glad you had a good day off.

Gruff if your lurking hope you are ok Sad

I feel a lot better, had quite a few counselling sessions now and feel i am coming to terms with everything that happened. DD2 is a lot better and settled which helps as well. I am hoping I have turned a corner although not going to stop going yet.

DS had a speach and language assesment on Friday as his speach is very poor. I hadn't realised as i understand him perfectly but doc refered us. Most words he says start with a d or p. eg cat is dat and car is dar etc. Lady was very good with him but did conclude he does have a serious speach problem.

She says his language and vocab is fantastic and quiet advanced and he does speak in sentances but his pronounciation is very poor. She thinks it is due to the fact he had 2 years of constant ear infections that let him deaf at a time he was learning to speak. So he is being refered for group speach therapy and one to one help. Thing is there could be up to 10 week waiting list Sad. She also says she believes he learnt to lip read which is why his vocab is so good Shock I didnt have a clue poor baby...

hope everyone is well

MaybeBBaby · 26/02/2012 20:35

Bump DS is also under SALT awaiting first assessment, same as you i didnt realise there was a problem, DS says things but pronunciation poor, fam for sam and doesn't finish words properly
