Ses: pillars :)

GingerbreadLatte · 13/02/2012 10:21

I know full well I'd have said the same but Grin

SESthebrave · 13/02/2012 10:57

Grin Hehe!!!

(I still like stilts tbh!)

I'm off work this week - hurray!!!! A day at home today to tidy up, do lots of little outstanding jobs and pack for our trip to Ireland. We leave tomorrow at about 6pm for the overnight drive / ferry. Great way to spend Valentine's night Hmm DH said he'd buy me a KFC on the way...
Then Wednesday is my birthday!!!! The last one of my 30s Just hoping that I won't be so knackered after our Tues / Wed overnight trip that I won't enjoy it!

Managed an evening out with DH on Saturday - nice pub meal and discussion about finances, childcare and baby names to go with it! We're going to try to keep DS in nursery 2 days a week (half of what he does at the moment) whilst I'm on ML.
As for names, we think we've decided on Peter Michael for a boy and Aoife Rose for a girl.
I do think it's another boy (based on the fact that the pg is exactly the same as with DS!) but DH is starting to say girl! I'm not so sure about our girl's name and I know my mum will have a fit as she doesn't like irish names that are hard to pronounce / spell. Also because DS would have been Aoife if he was a girl, I do kind of think of Aoife being a name from back then if that makes sense. I quite like Esther for a girl but DH doesn't. I do think Aoife is pretty though...
Feels quite strange telling you our name choices as we're not telling anyone else!

Kayzr · 13/02/2012 11:09

Ses I love love love Aoife. It is gorgeous.

Kayzr · 13/02/2012 11:46

Ses can I take Boots Flu-Max drink things? It has Guaifenesin, paracetamol and Phemylephrine Hydrochloride in it. My Mum went to get us some medicine and they didnt have the normal one and she was told that this should be ok. But I wanted to check.

SESthebrave · 13/02/2012 12:07

Kayz - no, sorry but don't take it. The phenylepherine can affect blood pressure which is more delicate in pregnancy and I would never suggest taking it :( You can get a more basic Boots cold sachet drink that just has paracetamol and vitamin C. If you're blocked up and congested, try Olbas Oil or Vick inhalations.

Glad you like Aoife :) I do like it and just need to put my mum's thoughts out of my head!

Kayzr · 13/02/2012 12:09

Thanks Ses They don't have any of the basic one so they gave Mum that one. I will hide it in cupboard and stick to paracetamol.

GingerbreadLatte · 13/02/2012 14:42

:) lovely names Ses. I love both of those. I also love Esther and will have it on my list for another time but I think it will also be vitoed by my DH!

Have a great trip - hope its smooth.

hellokittyrules · 13/02/2012 17:18

dh off did betteware and went to town

Kayzr · 13/02/2012 17:20

I think I'm going to go to bed when the boys do. I'm sure the dog won't be impressed but I'm going to set a couple of alarms for 8 and 9 to let him out.

This is rubbish. I must be the most feeble ill person in the world. Sad

BBisBBack · 13/02/2012 20:19

SES beautiful names love aiofe! (is it pronounced e-fur?)

Kayz and other sickies, poor you! Im ok health wise but so up and down with moods! Todays been good had a nice day with DS, he has been really truly lovely, he is an absolute treasure bless him, he makes me so Grin but also SadEnvy as so want DC2, and feel im letting DS down as siblings bring so much into life. My furry baby (cat) knows when i need him tho and is snuggling me bless him!

Hi to everyone ive missed my memory is shocking!!

Diege · 14/02/2012 08:52

Hello! Just popping in so that you don't think I've forgotten you. Doind the a-level exam papers again, and combined with half term am really snowed in. Coincides too with the 10 'keeping in touch' days from proper work (bad planing!!!). Have been lurking though and will join the world of the wagon again very soon! (LOVE the names SES Grin)

GingerbreadLatte · 14/02/2012 09:02

Morning all

Hello Diege- hope all that busy-ness goes ok! I am keeping a wagon seat warm for you :)

Kayz- how are you today?

BB - sounds like a good day with your DS. How old is he? I cant remember Blush

Hi Kitty!

As expected, my friend announced her pregnancy last night Grin So happy for her and no feelings of Envy which was lovely Grin
Im always amused how easy it is to spot a pregnant woman once you know! what to look for!

Right better get on, back soon.
x

Kayzr · 14/02/2012 09:09

Morning.

Lovely to hear from you Diege. Hope you are all well.

Ginger, DS1 seems loads better. But DS2 is not too good. He started crying last night saying his head hurt. So he had calpol which he ended up throwing up cos he was coughing. But then fell straight to sleep. He slept all night, woke up saying his head hurt and had more medicine. He's at doctors at 11 to have a check over.

I feel awful. I think it's sinusitis as my head hurts all across my eyes and top of my nose. So I am seeing dr too. Sad

Hope everyone is better than me. Smile

hellokittyrules · 14/02/2012 18:19

kay - poor ur lot!!
i have a bad cold now Sad
streaming eyes, cough and running nose plus headache

ging - nice about friend

diege - good to hear from you Grin
any shopping? Wink

SESthebrave · 14/02/2012 19:37

Sorry for all the poorlies :(
FWIW I think the most effective treatment for sinusitis and congestion is steam inhalation. Head covered with a towel over a bowl of steaming water with some Olbas Oil or Vick in it can work wonders.
Hope you're all feeling better soon.

Diege - good to hear from you. Sounds like you've been more than busy! How's DS2 and the other DC?

Ginger - I agree about having that knowledge of what to spot in friends with early pg symptoms. In a way that's quite a useful sixth sense to have when ttc though Grin

We're now on our way and just heading past Reading. Only another 550km and a ferry ride to go!

hellokittyrules · 15/02/2012 12:46

hi ses Grin

my cold seems to be better today - went to next to pick up an order and to take back some things then went to pets at home so girls could see animals ours has - rabbits, guineapigs, hamsters and fish.

Hope everyone else is ok

GingerbreadLatte · 16/02/2012 08:24

Ses- have a great trip and hope you had a lovely day yesterday Grin

Kitty, PaH visit sounds good, I always like that myself :)

Kayz- how are the poorlie in your house?

BB- sorry for D&V, its horrible. I hope it doesnt spread to DS and DH.

Random question. Am 7DPO. Since about 5DPO i've had an intermittant ache in the region of my left ovary as anyone experienced this as part of 2ww? at first I hoped thought it was possibly implantation cramping but im not so sure it would so one sided. Im a bit worried about ectopic now but it seems a bit early to get symtoms of that.... Anyone got experience of this?

Appreciate I am maybe experiencing 2ww madness and im imagining it!

Kayzr · 16/02/2012 16:24

Ginger, We are getting better, my nose is the worst thing now. It will not unblock for more than half an hour.

I have read on MN and in my Shettles Method book that some women do experience cramping from the side the egg was released from.

We also do the trips to P@H. We go there to get the dog food and have a look at the animals. We have lizards in ours and no matter how much I beg DP won't let me have a bearded dragon.

hellokittyrules · 16/02/2012 18:20
