me too!

tigana · 09/01/2012 22:05

Just sent a snarky text back to my sister after she sent a smug, know-it-all msg about bringing on labour (which, incidentally was incorrect). Normally I would bitch about it to DH then send a happy, non-committal reply ( this is how my family dysfunctions). Do NOT mess with an overdue pregnant woman!

addictediam · 09/01/2012 22:47

Oh oh oh baby has moved down! I felt a relief as she moved away from my ribs. She's now kicking the base of my ribs, annoying but nothing like the stabbing pain of her sitting in them :o along with regular tightenings and the desert spoonful of mucus I just lost (the largest amount in one go) I'm starting to get alittle excited. Thinking I'm going to be bitterly disappointed when there is no sign of labour tomorrow morning.

MissRee · 09/01/2012 22:51

Repacked my hospital bag today and did a ton of housework in the hopes of getting things moving... NOTHING Sad

Kinda resigned myself to induction on Wednesday now. Feeling fully defeated.

xshevix · 09/01/2012 23:55

Just full on crashed out on the sofa! I never ever fall asleep on the sofa I hate it. I've never felt this tired either.

Can't stop eating either, its a good just I appear to be addicted to salad haha.

Hope everyone is okay :-)

X

Oeisha · 10/01/2012 00:28

Well, if that's what camomile tea does for one, I'm buggered. Bastard tired, but awake. DH was snoring, but I suspect he's awake now as he generally doesn't like me not being in bed. I think I managed 20mins sleep. Then thrashed about. Tried moving beds, at first I thought it was him. Then I blamed being too hot, then I just bloody gave up.
I have taken my temp just in case, and it's about .2 up, so that's not it.
I can feel my eyes wanting to be closed, but I just LIE THERE.
Probably shouldn't have given in, but I was having murderous thoughts about DH and was then feeling guilty about the negativity that was sending Abi. Mental.
Now getting my headache back. OH FFS!
Hope mz's ok.

MissRee · 10/01/2012 04:22

Oooooooh it appears things are go go go here and the full moon strikes again Grin

Been having cx for 3 hours now, lasting between 30-40 seconds and 4-7 minutes apart. Going to have a shower, see where we're at and call the MLU I think Grin

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 10/01/2012 05:46

Morning ladies,

new peeps and returnees hurrah! Welcome!

I am feeling super tired and verrrrRRRRrrrry grumpy! Had an argument with DH last night. It would seem that the full moon didn't do much for me, but turned him into a miserable, grumpy nut and I didn't respond so well(!)

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 10/01/2012 07:48

Yup. Was my waters. Been sent home and given 24 hours to get things going or it's the hospital for me... Keep those fx for good strong cx soon!!!

Sorry ghost, sending you good pre-due date vibes... Please still love me

ParsleyLion1 · 10/01/2012 07:52

Your waters must have been affected by the moon's tidal influence cakes. Fx for contractions soon. Smile

FrillyMilly · 10/01/2012 08:00

Good luck cakes. Hopefully those contractions kick in soon!!

Mum2be79 · 10/01/2012 08:36

Good luck missree and *cakes

I'm finding motherhood a bit of a roller coaster - up days and down days (or rather nights!) Angry

Sunday night William would not settle. He struggled to latch on, wouldn't take milk from cup or bottle and was a genuine pain! It was 3:45am before he finally exhausted himself - 6 hours of being awake. He fed, fell asleep and woke every 10 to 15 mins. Little tike!

Saw MW yesterday. She's happy with him (and me). My scar is healing well. No more weeping/bleeding from it. I'm moving more feely now too. William's nappy contents during our appointment suggested he is well fed. :) He filled it an hour after changing (likes doing it during a feed! - Little trumper!). His jaundice levels are decreasing and despite losing 8oz during the first 5 days, he's put them back on since Weds 4th and weighs 6lbs 5oz - 1 oz less than his birth weight. I need to massage my nipples and use a hand pump for a minute or two as they're a little flat and my breasts are so full, he struggles to latch. I'm sticking with it and yesterday, despite 5-10 mins of difficulty, he had some good feeds. Rugby ball position works best for me.

He's having slightly more waking periods which we are trying to encourage during daylight hours not during our bedtime! I've went against the rules and put him in his own room next door to ours and used the baby monitor. it worked well last night. We all got sleep. He had a long wake full feed at 6am (before that was 1:30am) so to help him back to sleep I used the lullabies on the baby monitor - AND IT WORKED! William now asleep. Thank you TOMY!!

MissRee · 10/01/2012 08:36

Keeping everything crossed for you cakes!

I'm still here Sad cx seem to have slowed since I had a shower. Hospital said don't bother coming in until cx 3 mins apart and lasting a minute Sad

aBundanceOfTime · 10/01/2012 08:50

Oooh! How exciting! Good luck to you both Miss and Cakes! Hope it picks up for you both again soon Smile

Mum2Be sounds like you're doing a great job and making me very jealous in the process! Great to hear that William is gaining weight well Smile

I actually slept last night! Shock (waking up 4 times in pain with my hips now constitutes as a 'good night's sleep' Hmm Anyway, I'm going to make the most of it and get something done today because it won't last

Spagbolagain · 10/01/2012 08:50

Ooh am jealous of anybody who had moon-related progress. Hope things pick up again MissRee, maybe try to stay upright as much as possible?

Still nothing here, 6days over. Every evening I get loads of BH and think tonight could be the night, and every morning it's doh, nothing. M2B glad things sound like they are going ok, the roller coaster is par for the course :)
wow, a 1:30 to 6 stint is pretty fantastic, hopefully that means you have got one that will sleep ok. Am hoping for one of those this time. DS woke every 2hrs till we night weaned at 10months, no fun at all!

I need to get out and be busier today. Yesterday I just didn't stop eating, which is really not a good thing. So I need to set myself some tasks. Thinking about whizzing round the ceiling corners with a feather duster as that doesnt involve bending down.

addictediam · 10/01/2012 08:52

Missree can you gp for a walk or just up and down the stairs?

Mum2be its normal to have down days and to constantly question yourself (it never ends!) Don't worry too much about what the guidelines say and do what works and feels right for you and William. It sounds like you are doing an amazing job.

abeautifulbutterfly · 10/01/2012 09:06

Yea for Cakes and Miss Ree - wishing you serene yet speedy births and lovely snuggles!

M2B it is a rollercoaster, but it will get better, though I know you can't see the wood for the tiredness trees atm. I remember with DD1 we jotted down every feed time from the moment we got home (every 20 mins for 5 mins at first Grin) and thought we were going to die as we had read the crap that babies "should" feed about every 3 hrs Grin Grin.

But 1.30-6 is great! Sounds like you've got some great methods going there - and lots of progress!

ghosteditor · 10/01/2012 09:08

Ooh missree thst's exciting fx for you.

Cakes, my due date buddy, one of us had to go first! Congrats that things are getting moving, keep me up to date, and am keeping everything crossed for smooth progress! As much as i want to copy you, DH is flying this morning and unreachable so I'll have to wait!!!!
