OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
jewelsandbinoculars · 01/04/2012 13:25

Hey blondie. I have a pretty busy/periodically stressful job but it is desk-based and mainly in one place so could be worse. I tired myself out a bit last week by running round too much in the evenings after work so this weekend I have mainly done nothing at all, and it has been sweeeet. Still not a huge amount to report in the way of symptoms, but my nips are definitely sorer than they were, and having observed to JJ about how remarkably emotionally stable I had been throughout (!) I had a good old wetty at him last night for no discernable reason and huffed off to bed. Which, in the perverse world of early pregnancy, I actually felt quite reassured by this morning.

How are you & everyone else? Kat we don't 'know' each other but you must be imminent now, no?

KatAndKit · 05/04/2012 08:39

Ohh is good to see some good scannage news on here.

I'm feeling utterly knackered. I only have a week left to go though. I feel like I have been diffed forever. I need to get off the sofa soon to go to midwife appointment. Hopefully a sweep will happen. Cervix watch is now officially declared open!!!

KatAndKit · 05/04/2012 14:10

Pff. No sweep. Baby still very high up. Cervix very much non-birth-ready. midwife says no chance of baby coming before induction next Thursday. bollocks. Grrrrrrr.

jewelsandbinoculars · 06/04/2012 08:32

Whaat? Oh Kat that sucks, sorry. But next Thursday is ages away. Plenty of time to embark on a six day curry/pineapple/raspberry leaf eating, nipple-twiddling, clary-sage infused sechsathon... (isn't that what every utterly knackered woman wants to be doing with her time?)

KatAndKit · 06/04/2012 08:36

Sechsathon!!! No chance of that happening. It is the last thing on my mind. If even one sechsesh happens it will be a miracle.

Fantastic news about your scan. I had one at 6+4 and I remember the sheer relief and joy at seeing that tiny little heartbeat. It's miraculous really when you look at a ruler and see how little 6mm is but something so little has a heart and is actually ALIVE. Am very happy for you :)

blonderthanred · 06/04/2012 09:21

Amazing news Jewels! I am so pleased for you.

Kat I hope the babe makes a timely appearance - maybe post-bank holiday...

FriendofDorothy · 09/04/2012 14:43

er..... hello.... I am hoping that I can settle in here for the next 9 months or so.

Just got a BFP but feeling a little head-fucked by it at the moment. I don't want to jinx it if you know what I mean.

blonderthanred · 09/04/2012 17:24

Omfg that's amazing. I'm so happy. Fingers toes and fanjo crossed for you.

KatAndKit · 10/04/2012 13:36

Nice to see you on the other side dor !

Any symptom menkulling to report yet? Not that you need to have symptoms, I hardly had any in the early weeks.

Pliz to be sending eviction notice vibes to the MiniKit. I am still praying that he will decide tomorrow evening it is time to come out so the induction will be dodged. I am getting v v v nervous now about the whole birf malarkey.

FriendofDorothy · 10/04/2012 14:11

No symptoms whatsoever - I hardly feel pregnant at all. Still proper freaked out by it!

KatAndKit · 10/04/2012 14:14

I know - is sure weird when the only "proof" you have is the two pink lines! I am proper made up for you though, knowing what a hard road ttc has been for you recently and how much it has been getting you down. You were certainly in line for some good luck.

FriendofDorothy · 10/04/2012 14:32

Thankyou. Now I think I might have to go to Boots and buy some more tests so I can keep providng to myself it is real!

KatAndKit · 10/04/2012 14:34

No no no - haven't you got Poundland/Poundshop/poundwhatever there? Get cheap tests. Then you can indulge yourself a bit more with some guilt free pissing.

FriendofDorothy · 10/04/2012 14:40

Nope. No such thing over here.

blonderthanred · 10/04/2012 22:09

I went through the whole pack of Amazon cheapies as well as a couple of Superdrugs. TBI was by equal turns amused and repulsed by my bedside table 'collection'. Bit like the Dulux paint test strips, darker in colour as time progressed...

And yet still it feels unreal!

Fingers xed for miniKit...

KatAndKit · 12/04/2012 01:49

Gaaah am up in middle of bloody night, can't sleep and body has chosen tonight of all nights to have the mother of all heartburn attacks. Bleurgh!

jewelsandbinoculars · 12/04/2012 10:37

Gaaaah indeed kitkat bad night to be insomniacking. All fingers crossed for you today - will be pacing anxiously for news!

blonderthanred · 12/04/2012 11:49

Poor you Kat. I had horrible dream about mc, so happy when I woke up.

How's tricks Jewels?

jewelsandbinoculars · 26/04/2012 09:23

Hey all

Sorry to have gone awol. I've been doing a bit of an ostrich, just trying to get through to where it's real. (Still a few weeks to go for me, but getting there). I had another scan at EPU on mon and although I was a total state by the time they got to me - previous MMC appears to have robbed me of any and all scan-sanity - all appears to be well still. Blondie you're at EPU today I think (I have been following Nov fred). Sure will be fine but am thinking of you. It's totally nerve-wracking this business. Think I saw you were London-based too? If so, which hospital are you going for? (I am norf, and have opted for whittington further to naive plans of sneezebirths in the nice MLU there!).

And how goes it with you Dor?! Is it starting to sink in/feel real yet? How are you feeling?

Kat don't know if you're lurking but I think I read on the BESH fred that all is well with you & yours. Massive congrats! Come and give us a heads up when you feel up to it?

blonderthanred · 26/04/2012 10:21

So pleased to hear from you Jewels, was getting worried. Scan was good news. I am also n London, have opted for Barnet as v familiar with it. They have been wonderful so far. Have to dash but look forward to hearing more from you. All the best.

FriendofDorothy · 27/04/2012 08:53

It still doesn't feel massively real. I think I expected to feel pregnant and all happy and at the moment I just feel anxious about all the things that coulD go wrong which feels fucking ridiculous!

blonderthanred · 29/04/2012 16:25

Dot, I've been exactly the same. Found it very hard to believe that it's happening and every time I've told anyone (family and a few close friends) it felt like I was jinxing it - and I don't believe in any of that. Every twinge has been a worry and every lack of twinge has too - the ability to menkul does not dissipate on progression from BESH to PESH it seems.

However after emergency scan last Thurs, I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow's official one and seeing my actual baybee again. So knowing my luck, this is when it will go wrong, or we'll get a bad NT result. See, I can even menkul about not menkulling.

We'll all just keep our fingers xed for each other and take it one day at a time.

FriendofDorothy · 29/04/2012 17:43

How many weeks are you blonde?

blonderthanred · 29/04/2012 19:23

Either 12+3 or 13 exactly. 12+3 fitted with what I thought but as my cycles were so odd, either is possible. We should get a more accurate date tomorrow. How many are you now Dot, is it 7? I think Jewels is 9.

FriendofDorothy · 29/04/2012 19:40

7 exactly. Definitely wishing my weeks away at the moment tho!
