InTheSunshine · 12/02/2012 17:25

And blimey Kat nearly there!!

BarbiesBeaver · 12/02/2012 21:02

Well done for getting through it BB! What is with midwives not believing women are in labour? Must get round to doing my birth story too. Hope the feeding is going well and you are managing some sleep.

MadameBoolala · 12/02/2012 21:42

Oh BrownieB. Wowzers. You izz well hardcore innit.

Can't believe the eye / flush thing because all of the photos I've seen of you post birth have you looking like someone in a magazine. I am so happy for you.

BrownB · 12/02/2012 23:05

I'll take a picture of my eye just for YOU Boo! Wink

MadameBoolala · 13/02/2012 09:40

IveBeenExpectingYou · 13/02/2012 11:32

Oh shit, did someone say I'm only 2nd in the queue now????

Well, that would explain why I feel like I have a bowling ball sitting in my pelvis....
I was only just thinking that I can't wait for CotDodger's arrival so I can finally get some sleep. And then I realised!

Brown, I take my hat off to you. You are a brave soldier indeed. Well done!

BrownB · 13/02/2012 19:46

Seems Ski has now popped! Woohoo!! Congratulations Alps!! Your baby boy is awesome!!

blonderthanred · 08/03/2012 00:59

It's looking jolly quiet in here, hope I get some luffley BESHes along sooooon....

KatAndKit · 09/03/2012 16:28

Hello blondie it is indeed quiet in here. Need more differs! How are you doing anyway?

blonderthanred · 09/03/2012 19:59

Hello Kat!

You must be nearly ready to go, I am hoping and praying to the baby Jeebus I get that far. Still at the not-quite-believing stage. DH being totally brilliant and family v excited (we've just told a few).

How are you feeling?

KatAndKit · 10/03/2012 09:51

I am feeling a bit fed up. I can't do very much at the moment apart from watch tv and faff around on the internet all day long. But my mum is coming over to see me on Monday which will be nice - I'm hoping she will be taking me out for lunch! Not long to go now, I'm 35 1/2 weeks already, I can hardly believe that I have a nearly full grown little baybee inside me! Although I am starting again to panic about the fact that I know fuck all about baybees and how on earth am I going to be able to look after him.......

I have everything crossed for you - how many weeks are you now and will you be going down early scannage route? Any symptoms to report yet? ( I was lucky and had no sickness in the 1st tri)

blonderthanred · 11/03/2012 00:29

Wow, that is quite an amazing thought. Must be thrilling but quite overwhelming. I guess you must be impatient to meet him but also hoping he will stay put for another few weeks. Hope you are being well looked after. Are you having a 'natural' birth?

I'm quite achey, keep worrying but pg tests are positive every morning and I have sore boobs and faint nausea so hoping it is all just part of it. Still seems a bit impossible atm.

Thanks for the message, keep me updated! I miss those BESH but I don't want to be insensitive so I'm just going to say hi on their thread every now & again.

KatAndKit · 11/03/2012 04:49

Natural birth? No idea! No ELCS planned and hoping for the natural birth with pool and so on but consultant not keen for me to go much over due date so if he doesn't evict himself on time it is more likely to end up in the induction/monitoring/epidural route. Which will still achieve the same end result after all!

nausea is always a good sign :)

blonderthanred · 11/03/2012 07:43

Ow those buzzwams are sore!

Now have 9 little sticks lined up, it is a little bit menkul I know... Or maybe I should start an official collection? The British Museum might be interested from a sociological pov. Or if the baybee turns out to be famous, I can flog 'em on eBay.

Doc is referring me for early scan due to all the ishoos with my cycle etc. So hopefully that will be reassuring.

I hope you don't get to the point of being overdue. I would love to go in a pool but because I am a bit fat I doubt they will sign me up. I feel so shitty that I put so much weight on in the last year, I know it was the stress of ttc but it's still frustrating. Bloody cake and gin.

I'm guessing from the time of your post your bump is keeping you awake. I hope you have one of those cushion things to help.

Feel v vommy this morning. This is good.

jewelsandbinoculars · 24/03/2012 10:06

Alright PESHters. I got a 3+ on a digi this morning so am going to take a chance on my not having made this all up. How are you all this fine day?

blonderthanred · 24/03/2012 10:43

Hello Jewels! Really glad things are progressing well. I had a phase of disbelief, a phase of I AM MOTHER EARTH RIPE LIKE A PEACH and more recently (after a little pink on the loo roll) a phase of "oh god who did I think I was to have something nice happen to me oh god it's all going to go wrong what's that twinge about". So completely normal balanced and unmenkull I'm sure you'll agree.

Am booked in for a scan on Wed. Fucking terrified. How are you coping? Any ms or sore buzzwams? Have you been to the doctor yet?

jewelsandbinoculars · 24/03/2012 18:05

Hey blonde

Nice to see you!

I have flashes of I Am Peachiness but am largely so repressed that I feel quite detached. (Though that said I will see your nine strips of pissy cardboard and raise you a further three, so I would not like to see myself in full attachment mode). I am 5 weeks today I think - haven't been to doctors yet but am planning to go next week. I think I will plead dud-pregnancy form and ask to be referred to EPU for early scan too, and if they won't I am planning to go for private scan at what I reck will be 6+5. (Precision planning because that is day before the easter hols, so if it is crap this time I can have a few days to process it without it having everyone in my tiny office know my bizniz immediately.)

Physically not much to report. My boobs are sore if I proper jab at them (quelle surprise) and I have had the odd wave of mild nausea, but mainly am just knackered/achey, and permanently greedy hungry.

How far along are you? Does anyone in RL know?

blonderthanred · 27/03/2012 21:05

Hi Jewels, hope things are progressing nicely for you, I have an early scan tomorrow afternoon.

Told immediate family and a couple of friends, how about you? A couple of people found out at work by accident but they are good sorts. Had to tell my boss sooner than planned as she booked me for a rather manual course and I just couldn't risk it. Docs have said rest as much as poss, feet up, so I have taken them at their word. Whatever it takes.

I am on the Nov 12 babies antenatal group on MN, it seems Feb was a popular month to conceive as there are blimmin thousands of 'em. Very friendly group and it's quite interesting to read different people's experiences, some are so young, different levels of planned-ness etc. After so long talking to the BESH it's quite odd in a way.

Seen a few fb statuses re. pg too and keep thinking, not fair, why not me? And then remembering... Oh yeah...

How are you doing for symptoms? I get a lot of twinges and a bit of nausea but not much really. It feels like a relief when I do get a symptom.

Anyway I am rambling, but hope you're feeling ok, and hopeful about the future.

jewelsandbinoculars · 28/03/2012 08:27

Have been stalking the Nov group with interest, but it is HUGE and prob a bit much for me and my remedial internet skillz

Saw GP yesterday and am planning to go to EPU next week. So far have only told one friend in RL - we had agreed to join this local club together to do (frankly preposterous amounts of) physical activity - first event being on Mon night - and I felt like I had to explain that I had a reason beyond inherent laziness for bailing on her. She was lovely in the aftermath of my MC last year, so exercise-skiving aside she's an obvious person for me to have told. Otherwise no-one, although may share with one of my colleagues sooner rather than later as am feeling slightly stresseder workwise than would be cool.

Anyway fingers like totally crossed for your scan today, dude. Let us know how it goes.

blonderthanred · 28/03/2012 17:36

Good news! After a couple of sleepless nights and a fraught trafficky journey making us 10 mins late, had the most lovely Gyno and nurse, totally put me at ease, and most importantly the little baybee is well! Doc dated him/her at 7+6 and said all looks good. So happy.

He was also very reassuring about the spotting and cramps so I feel a lot better. And the little heartbeat!

I've never used so many exclamation marks in my life as I have since this whole pregnancy lark. Terrifying.

Hope all good with you, do you have to wait for EPU to call with an appt or is it a different system? I've told more people than I meant to but apart from the initial worry that I've jinxed things, it's been nice to have a few people to talk to so I hope you find the same.

jewelsandbinoculars · 29/03/2012 07:54

Wooo! Great news! Know what you mean about the punctuation!

Doc gave me a referral letter and said to present straight to EPU if cramps worsen (I have been having a bit of pain but no spotting), but that I could also call for them for an appointment if I prefer. My thinking is if I can hold out to next week it should be possible to see a HB on a scan, if there is one. (Think I am 5+5 today). So ridiculously irrelevantly early and yet it feels like for ever since I got my bfp. Argh!

blonderthanred · 29/03/2012 09:34

I know what you mean about the feeling of it being forever, each day seems to take about a week to get through. Surely I must be at least 20 wks by now...?

I had a lot of cramps up until last week but now just getting the odd twinge. I am keeping everything crossed for you and hope you get to see that heartbeat next week. It was just a tiny crinkle on the screen yesterday but meant so much.

Do you have a busy job? I run around a lot so am taking every possible opportunity to put my feet up which seems to help.
