Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

faithy the tiredness really is the pits. It's mostly passed for me now, I seem to have one day every two weeks when it hits. The other afternoon I was putting laundry away and thought 'i'll just lie down on the bed and listen to the radio for ten minutes'....and woke up two hours later Blush
Hopefully you'll be the same as I was and start to feel much brighter from 10 weeks.

HaveALittleFaith · 04/09/2012 11:57

At least in my current role I can pace myself and I'll be about 10/11 weeks by the time I'm back on the ward!

Congratulations dor! When do you get the keys?

FriendofDorothy · 04/09/2012 12:21

We have the keys already. Went for a quick look on the way home :)

HaveALittleFaith · 04/09/2012 12:39

Are you going to do a lot of the renovating before you move in?

FriendofDorothy · 04/09/2012 12:48

We have to do the basics before we move in which includes, woodworm treatment, drainage work, maybe rebuild the porch, install central heating, install a kitchen and decorate throughout. So, not much then!

cakeandcava · 04/09/2012 12:57

Wow! I thought our one-room conversion from workshop to babyroom was stressful. Do you have a schedule for getting it all done before the minidot arrives?
Oh, and congratulations! You have a house! Grin

FriendofDorothy · 04/09/2012 13:07

Er, well we have to wait until our builder returns from holidat next week and then we can make decisions about what comes first.

In the meantime we will get on with stripping all the wall paper.

blonderthanred · 04/09/2012 14:09

Wow it's all go on the PESH thread. Congrats Dor! I think it's mandatory to have to do some building work whilst pregnant, it seems to be very common. Faith is excused though as she's had enough house trauma for the time being.

LP that is very exciting to be telling TT. It will be such a special moment esp after all you have been through. Oh dear I might get a bit teary!

HaveALittleFaith · 04/09/2012 16:55

Yes pliz can I just buy some furniture and put a border up?! I'd really like a new bathroom but it's beyond the budget for now.

I luff stripping wallpaper dor. What fun!

blonderthanred · 04/09/2012 18:02

Yes you may, furniture and borders (and maybe a few teensy vests and mittens further down the line).

No stripping though (just the odd cheeky flash).

LauraPalmer · 04/09/2012 19:21

I haven't caught up yet (am assuming Dory is a new home owner!), but I just had to send an on-the-flu note that TinyTOM is thrilled! He's been chattering about the new baby non-stop since we told him Smile and I just had to share it with my fellow PESH.

More to come...

LauraPalmer · 04/09/2012 19:34

*on-the-fly

HaveALittleFaith · 04/09/2012 19:58

Awwwww

queenrollo · 04/09/2012 20:13

aww laura that's lovely Smile DS said to me that this baby is lucky because HOLB and myself are very clever so the baby is bound to be very brainy too...after all I grew DS and quote 'i'm very brainy, aren't I mummy and I'm a good boy too'.....

blonderthanred · 04/09/2012 20:38

Oh yes indeed I did just shed a tear on reading that. How lovely LP.

HaveALittleFaith · 04/09/2012 21:21

I'm so happy for both of you and moody with MSB for not helping am enough round the house

cakeandcava · 04/09/2012 21:28

aah, that's lovely. He's going to be a great big brother :)

FriendofDorothy · 04/09/2012 22:10

Yes we are indeed home-owners. We went around tonight and measured all the rooms etc. I feel absolutely shattered tonight though and have a really sore back so I am heading to bed now.

blonderthanred · 04/09/2012 22:31

Congrats! Sounds like a lovely day for all.

FriendofDorothy · 05/09/2012 08:51

Argh this morning I feel completely overwhelmed. I am completely knackered today and have a bad back. I am now worried about the amount we have to do and I am worried that we will still be at mum and dad's by the time Winston makes an appearance.

I am not sure that I am feeling entirely reasonable today because all I want to do is cry!

cakeandcava · 05/09/2012 09:16

Deep breath! It's going to be fine.
Not at all unreasonable to not feel reasonable -you've just bought a house, you're pregnant, and you have a lot to do. But it's going to be fine!

All the baby needs is to be warm, clean and fed. You can do that from anywhere. If you don't finish everything in the house, that's ok. You'll be fine!

HaveALittleFaith · 05/09/2012 10:16

dor you're doing 2 of the big 4 (marriage, baby, move house, divorce) so its natural to feel anxious! I cried when I walked into our empty house because it was such a state - they'd painted round the furniture etc and we had thought it didn't need any work doing ha! But it'll get done in time and as cakey says, at least you can stay at your folks worst case scenario.

More vomiting this morning but tiredness is pretty awful today. Think I'm going to head home early.

queenrollo · 05/09/2012 15:43

Community Midwife says Consultant intervention is completely unecessary, and that I should decline their 'offer' of tests. If she has any concerns as the weeks progress she will discuss it with me and we can decide whether to seek extra care then.
And I heard my baby's heartbeat Grin

HaveALittleFaith · 05/09/2012 21:00

Oh that's great news queenie, someone to fight your corner and support you! And squee for the heartbeat!!! Grin

MSB has been much more supportive round the house tonight and asked if I needed anything doing before he went off to blow up the world :)

FriendofDorothy · 06/09/2012 08:22

I am absolutely knackered today. Could happily curl up under my desk and stay there!
