I am so sorry bugs - this sounds like what happened to me first time round and it is so hard when you have seen that heartbeat. Although mine had stopped by the second scan. If you aren't happy with the medical management, remember that surgical management is also an option.

Totally understand you wanting to take a break from here and it's probably a sensible thing to do. I have been where you are now and so have others on here who have MC twice - it's massively shit and no two ways about it. If you want to talk we are all still here for you of course, and feel free to get in touch with me on FB if you want my tuppence worth about MC management and repeat miscarriage testing.

Nothing anyone can say will make you feel better right now so just make sure you and GP take care of yourselves and get plenty of support. Be kind to yourselves and each other and one day in a couple of months time you will hopefully be feeling more like yourself again and ready to think about moving forwards. In the meantime do whatever helps you deal with your feelings and seek help if need be.

Massive hugs and hairstrokes, I am so gutted for you.

LauraPalmer · 03/07/2012 11:35

Oh Bugs I'm so so sorry. My heart goes out to you and GP. I understand that you'll want time away from MN but we're here for you anytime you need us. Please take good care of yourself and speak up to the drs for what you need over the next few weeks.

cakeandcava · 03/07/2012 16:12

I'm so very very sorry bugs. Look after yourself and eachother -it's so unfair and horrible. Go and speak to your doctors and get the process of testing underway when you can -it might make you feel better to do something proactive?
Completely understand you not being around -I needed the same headspace and time away. We're here if you need to rant.

jewelsandbinoculars · 03/07/2012 17:11

Shit bugs, I?m really, really sorry. It?s a horrible thing for you to have to go through.

cakeandcava · 04/07/2012 11:45

Morning all. Sad times in ESH-land at the moment. Thinking of you bugs.

Laura did you start the progesterone yesterday? How are you feeling?

LauraPalmer · 04/07/2012 15:55

I did start it Cava - thank you for checking on me! It was a bit weird to...umm...put it in place felt a bit self violated! but hoping it won't cause any negative side effects and will help keep out little grublet happily in place.

How's everyone else doing/feeling? Any landmarks coming up?

Our next scan is on Tuesday afternoon. Counting down the days...luckily I will be quite busy between now and then.

If you're lurking Bugsy I hope you're doing okay today and surviving the waiting game to next Thursday. We're all rooting for a brilliant super-growth and strong heartbeat.

LauraPalmer · 04/07/2012 15:57

And 'our'... NOT 'out' Sad

KatAndKit · 04/07/2012 16:59

LP I think bugs pretty much knows it will be game over :(

LauraPalmer · 04/07/2012 17:52

It's really hard to know what to say in these situations - I've been through MC twice myself and I still feel so tongue-tied and incompetent at offering support. Sad

blonderthanred · 04/07/2012 17:59

I think we're all hoping for a miracle, but we'll be here for her whatever happens.

cakeandcava · 04/07/2012 19:24

There isn't really anything anyone can say -it's just a massively shit and unfair situation :(
I did find that talking about it with friends who had experienced grief themselves helped, whereas with others, not so much.

No major landmarks coming up on my part in the immediate future. I did start ante-natal yoga classes today -was quite nice, and seems like a good group. The centre that runs it is quite heavy on the new-agey, natural woo side of things (which I have a certain tolerance level for, but it can go too far...), but the teacher seemed lovely and level-headed.

sorry about the fat lady bugs - at least that means you will escape the "procedure" - I hope it is all over very soon and make sure you take fuck loads of alcohol painkillers.

Very very sorry that this is happening bugs -at least the bitch is singing now, and you won't have to deal with anything medically managed. Scant comfort, I know.
Hope the co-codamol worked its wonders last night and you managed to get some sleep. Look after yourself in the coming weeks, and stay at home as long as you need to.

KatAndKit · 05/07/2012 14:21

i agree take as long as you need. after my second it was six weeks until i was ready to do any work. don't rush back unless you want to.

LauraPalmer · 06/07/2012 08:31

The fat lady's a total cunt. I hope the drugs and the gin provide some relief Bugs.

I'm feeling quite down about everything. Not sure if it's the progesterone or if it's the menkul and fear that we'll also receive sad news at our next scan. I may just stay away from MN for a bit until I'm feeling happier and more hopeful.

I held a 2 week old baby last night and right now I can't bare the thought of loosing another pregnancy.

Morning all.

Glad you managed to enjoy the wedding bugs. It does sound like the bleeding has slowed down rather quickly and might be worth checking out. I was also 'lucky' in that I mc normally last time after being told it was over, before I had a chance to medically manage -I bled for about 14 days, this apparently was normal. I'd ask for a scan (I'm sure the scan room is the last place you want to be right now) to see what is happening.

Hope you're feeling better LP -it could be the progesterone weirding you out -it's quite potent I think! Hope it is working its magic -do you have another scan coming up this week?

LauraPalmer · 08/07/2012 18:00

Hello all.

Thanks for checking in with me Cava - and I think you're right...this progesterone is making me extra emotional! We've got a scan on Tuesday afternoon, which based on our sechs dates should make me around 9+2. I've been dealing with a large dose bit of menkul the past few days so just trying to keep my head down and think positively. I've had a huge increase in nausea since Thursday - it's become an all-day, queasy 80% of the time affair. Hoping it's a good sign and not just an undocumented side effect of the pessaries.

How is everyone else doing?

Oh Bugs that's super - I'm happy for you and GP. There's something very pure and wonderful about having pets. And what a smart boy he'll be with that background mix! Hope your older pooch is loving the new friend.
