Stay calm. The thing that amazed me about being pg was how many of the symptoms are similar to the fucking droid.

Cramps are likely to be your body adjusting. Of course nothing's going to make you stop worrying, but chances are it's all normal. Keep the faith, we're all here for hand-holding/fish-slapping.

cakeandcava · 13/06/2012 19:58

as blondie says, part of the fun is how much early pg feels like you're about to come on. As long as there's no blood, assume all is fine -statistically, it is!

You're going to worry no matter what though, but if there's anything at all to help you keep your mind off it (watch a film? bake a cake?), do that.

queenrollo · 13/06/2012 20:23

bugs I have been exactly the same. Yesterday I was fine all day and then about 9pm started with the womble cramps and felt a bit panicky about it. For what it's worth I'm the same today - no twinges at all and in the last few minutes the crampy feeling has come back.

I do remember though that before I got a +ive with DS I spent four days thinking AF was imminent because of the crampy feeling. My cycles were irregular then so I did a test thinking it would be -ive and that would prompt AF. All sorts of cramps and twinges had me worried, and to be honest second time round it still does play on your mind a bit.

I am sooooo tired this evening. Early night with hot chocolate and The Hobbit beckons.

LauraPalmerish · 13/06/2012 23:07

I tried to post earlier today but it failed. I'm menkulling big time, too Bugs & Rollo! I keep waiting to feel more sick. I've never actually wanted to feel sick before. Triple chain gang.

The one symptom I do seem to do well is weep. I am a weeping mess. Can't watch t.v. 'cause I weep at the adverts. Pathetic.

Oh, I'm also really good at exhaustion. Got winded walking up a flight of stairs today. Weird. Perhaps it's to do with the low blood pressure? My GP said it was a good sign for updiffedness and to take care when standing up so I don't faint. Does low blood pressure also leave you out of breath all the time?

Countdown to early scan: 8 more sleeps until the appointment.

LauraPalmerish · 13/06/2012 23:08

p.s. peed on my last IC...yes, the line was darker (and it was a 10.00pm wee!)

Today we are pregnant.

LauraPalmerish · 14/06/2012 00:39

And I peed on my last Clearblue, which happily told me 'Pregnant 3+'.

I'm such an addict. Even when I'm actually diffed I can't stop peeing on sticks!!!

But..... it still says you are pregnant. I did one CBD when I first found out I was pregnant and then decided not to do anymore as I heard that they can become less effective.

A friend of mine who had IVF said she started panicking when the CBD she did tested negative. She started experimenting with watering down her wee and then tested positive again.

I think you just have to sit tight Bugs. I wished for ages that I felt sick at the start just so I could feel pregnant. I never did and it is only now at 13 weeks that I am starting to believe it might be real.

You didn't use FMU, you didn't dip it for the full time required, and HcG levels vary anyway. Ergo, whether it is 1-2, 2-3 or 3+ is academic. What matters is that the stick confirms you're pregnant.

Now step away from the sticks.

I had droidy cramps for weeks and weeks. The EPU said it was totally normal. They also said (once they could make themselves heard over my incoherent sobs that my EPU preg test had been recorded as 'faint' at about 9 weeks) that they shouldn't be relied upon for anything other than the presence of the hormone.

16 wk appt with the MidVif yesterday. I don't have syphilis syphylis sifffils an STD, my blood pressure and iron levels are ok and I have a turnip-sized baby with a HB of 147 bpm. So, suspiciously SPD-like pain in my hips and coccyx aside, its all good in this hood.

CurlyCasper · 14/06/2012 14:01

not everyone gets a fat line bugs they detect anything from 5 to 50 miliwhatsists and some people have more hormones than others. Put the sticks away and stop stressing. Start some healthy visualising of a blossoming bundle of cells. please?

I too have been having the evil-but-normal cramps. And ligament pain already. Bah.

Thanks for the food ideas - for a few days with both pregnancies now it did not matter what I ate, it turned liquid and went straight through. It has calmed now and I believe I am actually on the path to constipation. So glamorous!

Lots of good news there jewels. Hope you don't get SPD, 'tis a bastard.

KatAndKit · 14/06/2012 14:20

Slaps with a slimy eel.

CBD = BAD. I gave myself proper menkul with them. On one day I had a 3+. A couple of days later it said 2-3. My baybee is snoozing in his car seat. And I did get a 3+ again when I followed the instructions and used a good strong sample a couple of days later.

Both times I had a MC I got the 2-3 and the 3+ exactly when you would expect to see them on the CBD. There is no pregnancy test available to buy that tells you if your BFP is sticky or not unfortunately. If you need to piss on sticks daily, use cheapies.
With CBD, the 2-3 reading is the least accurate of all the 3 options. That one is only about 60 something percent accurate.

LauraPalmerish · 14/06/2012 15:25

BUGS! No more tests!

Agree that CBDs are the work of the devil and that way madness lies although I couldn't resist using up the one that was staring at me last night Blush

LauraPalmerish · 14/06/2012 15:27

Oops - sent too soon.

Glad you got your early scan!

(just in case we need to use these...)

Bugs, sometimes when I see you write GP, I think you mean your doctor. This was one of those times.

CurlyCasper · 15/06/2012 09:12

what blond said re GP!
I hear you on the breast front, Bugs. I loved what pregnancy and feeding did for them last time, and can feel the surge beginning again Grin

I am booked in with doctor on Monday. Don't forget to ask for the form to get free prescriptions and dental care.

Kat I love that miniKat was snoozing when you posted. This is a Good Thing.

cakeandcava · 15/06/2012 09:24

Seconding the TFI Friday sentiment. Feels like it's been a long week. Probably because I'm going on holiday in a week from now, and it's dragging...

I was a 34B as well. Am now 36C. Result! Hoping to make it to a D before this is all done with. Although I suppose the downside is they'll be forever a bit more deflated once they settle back down to their old selves.

Kat Aaaawww :)

FriendofDorothy · 15/06/2012 09:44

I wish we got free prescriptions and dental care when pregnant! We have to pay for everything, including seeing the GP!

blonderthanred · 15/06/2012 09:49

I also meant to say, Bugs it's my 20 week anomaly scan on Tues as well so I will be thinking of you and hopefully it will be a great day for both of us.

And yes, tfif! (although am working tomorrow, still feels like the end of the week)
