Ive heard a lot of good things about Spatone Zhen, I must get round to buying some, its got to be worth a shot!

Back has been aching the last few days and BHs getting stronger, and were actually painful yesterday but nope, nada. Getting closer, will probably just be like this for the next 2 weeks! This was as far in my pregnancy i got with DD so im getting very impatient now. Trying not to think about the labour though.....!

Come on girls get your bags packed! I just got some cereal bars and little cartons of juice to put in so i am officially done :)

Hello, hope everyone's having a relaxing weekend. A whirlwind week here getting loads of stuff straightened out: paperwork, haircut, eye-test, dentist, tons of washing and sorting, last buys and that bag packing. Looks like I'm heading c-section wards, so that feels a bit wierd to have some certainty about it actually happening in just over a week's time, all being well. Eeeeek!

Heart-burn and general heaviness is a drag, but otherwise feeling pretty chipper. Getting lots of visible movements on the tum, been having BH since 20 weeks this time. The novelty has truly passed!

phlossie · 21/01/2012 16:03

I think that there are people on here who just get off on being nasty and combatitive, herecomes. I once posted about not liking other people's cats shitting on my grass, and did anyone have any tips for deterring them and seriously, the abuse! A mixture of people saying I was boring and unoriginal and others being sarcastic. I hid the thread and swore that I'd never, ever post anything personal because I'm not sure I could take it!

So, are you planning on sitting in between them? We had a big estate car (Saab 95), but I couldn't get my bum in between the two car seats. But we now have a Touran and I can get my bum in easily - we changed because we need to get 3 car seats in.

I'm having lots of niggles too, and a few painful BH. 'Full-term' tomorrow!

Afternnon Ladies.

Babies this week?! Hurrah! Wish I was amoung you ladies but I will have to wait at least until the end of next week I think.

My bag is packed, finally - my Womama birthing wrap came today :). Although I say that and then have just opened 1 of the diet cokes and am being tempted by all those snackable item in there. Maybe I should lock it!

I have awful itching, has changed from a generalised no rash itch to hives on arms, legs and spreading onto bump. Getting to the point where I can't cope with it - no sleeping, constant baths and coering myself in cream for mometary relief, piriton not hitting the spot anymore. Trying to survive until Monday's final scan and doctor's appointment. Hoping to push for the inevitable induction to be asap. Definatly not going to have beautifully shaved legs but red raw scratched ones :( - oww!

36wks (37 according to me!)

PamBeesly · 21/01/2012 17:41

OddEyes the itch sounds like PUPPP, how horrible, I find E45 Itch Relief cream helps a bit, Piriton is good for me only because it knocks me out...

herecomesthsun · 21/01/2012 17:47

We are trying to work it out. DS has a 2 way elite, bought to keep him rearfacing and then pass on to the next one.

As far as I can work out, it would only go forward facing in the front seat. So he needs to be in the back to RF.

I don't think the Britax Babysafe Sleeper will fit alongside his 2WE so we ae looking at the Britax SHR. (This now comes with a warning from Which about the handle. We will are tempted get it anyway to go with a Bsmart3, but I can see it would be a real pain not to have a carseat if we have problems.)

The SHR won't fit in the front passenger seat according to the Britax guide; the 2 car seats would need to go in the rear side passenger seats. I have no idea whether I would fit in the middle!

I am trying to work out whether we want a carry cot as well as the pushchair seat (which is lie flat from birth).

Then again we could get the Babysafe Sleeper and have Ds forward facing.

It is still giving me a headache.

woowa · 21/01/2012 20:27

DD kneed me in the bump at bedtime (just in play, not malice) and been having fierce BH since...was sort of hoping she might have started labour, but i think possibly not. Sigh.

meant to tidy everything (again) today, but i have mostly sat and read the paper, which is actually a much better way for a nearly 9 month pregnant person to spend time! Keep thinking, the more rested I am going into labour (espeically what could be a long induction), the more stamina i'll have to get through it. REST everybody!

ANother lovely community MW visited today to do BP - is it everyone's experience that community MWs are friendler than clinic/hospital ones? She was great. Took BP, all fine, so I have one more check up on tuesday (39 weeks), then BP next friday at home, then induction following Tuesday. REALLY not much time left!!

Pam, when you say 4 babies "this" week, do you mean before tomorrow, or next week? Just wondering, and hoping I will be one of the predicted ones!!

NIght all!

Next week I think woowa. Esme is having a cs on Monday, then xavielli is being induced on Friday. Someone else on the fb group is having a cs on thurs but I can't remember her mn username Blush. That is the 3 that I know of so maybe yours is the 4th that pam is counting, unless I have missed someone.

QueenFee · 21/01/2012 21:19

Just marking my place!

I can't sit next to the baby in the car due to my car having 3 rows of 2 seats. Great for the other kids as they can do their own belts etc. Everyones situation is different. I would sit next to the baby on long journeys due to boob feeding whilst travelling too. Have you seen the foodoflove cartoons?

shipsladyg · 22/01/2012 00:12

And relax....
Have packed my bags "just in case" (am a HBAC sort so hoping not to need them)
DH has checked the birth pool for punctures.
Storchenwiege sling wrap has arrived.
There are 30 toilet rolls in the house.
Bought a buggy board for DD today.
I think I am ready....
Just a shame that based on last time I've got another 4 weeks to wait!!! I would happily get on with it now.
I reckon labour will be a breeze compared to trying to manage with 2 under 2 yrs...

hermionejgranger · 22/01/2012 07:28

ships just wondering - what is the significance of the 30 toilet rolls? Is there a special reason why you need that many that I have missed?

woowa · 22/01/2012 14:19

hermione, probably just because after a new baby arrives it can be very hard to leave the house, and loo rolls are very essential items NOT to be run out of under any circumstances. Makes me think i should buy a load more this week!!

Thought i was in labour earlier...tightenings seemed to be aching a bit. I think it's just because I barely slept last night due to be uncomfortable in each and every position i tried. And got cramp in both legs simultaneously (never happened before) and couldn't get out of bed quick enough to get rid of cramp because my pelvis ached so much.

SCREAMING, and DH thought I was in labour. Oh how i love late pregnancy!! Wouldn't swap it for anything, just think what a wonderful thing is only NINE days away!

woowa this coming week but I think I'll bump my prediction up to 5 for you Wink

littlemonkeybix · 22/01/2012 15:56

Oh woowa... entertaining and awful Wink

Today i showed DP the carpets I've been looking at. narrowed it down to 2. He's currently fitting the picture rail... looks like I'll be getting a bedroom soon Grin

Just folding clothes and tv-ing... columbo finished so 4+1 for ladyhawke!!

littlemonkeybix · 22/01/2012 15:57

Oh yeah... 34 tmw x

herecomesthsun · 22/01/2012 16:13

Hadn't thought of bulk buying toilet rolls (although we live deep in the countryside and I tend to have a goodly stock of essentials as there is no corner shop).

There is a £10 off £100 spend code for Waitrose that I might be tempted by, to get in some of my essentials (and a £5 off £30 in Aldi that I might use this week too) From the sublime to the very cheap!

We have been playing more with the carseats and are now going to put DS in the front with airbag - as RF is possible in the font - and have baby in a Babysafe sleeper in the back, prob with me and breastmilk on tap. Though I suspect it will be more difficult to feed in a lie flat car seat. Phew!

That also gives us a lie flat pram option for the 1st 5 months which will be handy.

Am thinking of getting a dehumidifier for various reasons but also to help with washing drying (though clever baby, choosing to be born just as spring is coming in!!)

OddEyes · 22/01/2012 16:16

might have to add me. Spent day in Maternity triage. Itching got worse. Turns out I was allergic to Metformin, diabetes drug. And have obstetric cholestasis. Can I add anythingelse to the list of pregnancy ailments before they whip this baby out?

phlossie · 22/01/2012 16:18

First Sunday off work and I got up at 10.30am! Lush. Went out and had a wander around some kitchen showrooms, and now I'm back in bed. I'm just so knackered! Have also been having uncomfortable BHs/period type pains on and off and very achy legs.

37 today. So that's full-term, then x

PamBeesly · 22/01/2012 16:29

OddEyes have the spoken about inducing you/c-section? The itching must be a nightmare x

OddEyes · 22/01/2012 16:51

Have growth scan an doc appt booked in tomorrow anyways by which time they will have further test results and know how bad it is. Don't think I am going to have to fight for induction though.
Not coping well with itching anymore. 2hrs sleep last night

deardear · 22/01/2012 17:00

Isn't there someone else with OC on this bus?

DH had problems with metformin and changed to glucophage and is fine.

Exciting thinking there will def be a baby tomorrow andposs more this week :).

PamBeesly · 22/01/2012 17:02

Have they recommended piriton? I was prescribed it at 14 weeks for itching, it helps a lot at night. E45 Itch Relief also helped. My heart goes out to you itchig is the worst, there is no relief. I hope they give you a date tomorrow x

OddEyes · 22/01/2012 18:17

Been taking piriton since 24 weeks with generalised pregnancy itch. Bathing in oats and covered in E45. Still makes me cry

herecomesthsun · 22/01/2012 19:54

Ooh pregnancy itch - I hadn't heard of that. I have gestational diabetes and haven't been able to eat porridge so we have a load in the cupboard - might try oats in bath Smile

woowa · 22/01/2012 20:35

my itching with DD was helped by aqueous cream with menthol, it was SOOOOO nice and cooling on bump. I was prescribed it by consultant.

trying, in vain, to find something interesting to knit for baby, and my sillu internet won't let me stream Call the Midwife. So bored...
