Sorry for the new thread and crap name but i needed to start one oi how are you doing good luck xxx

I have fallen off the face of MN for a week or so and have loadsss to catch up on! I have been busy doing coursework and seriously nesting!!

PGP is awful, to the point of making me cry, finally got a pyshio app, but not for another 2 weeks :( doesnt seem much point. OH continues not to even attempt a massage if i ask and rolls his eyes.

Been having really bad shooting pains that take my breath away, but seems as though baby is head down (and very low) im guessing its a nerve he is on.

Very strange and TMI... but earlier (when i went to the toilet) i could feel what felt like the head bulging on the outside, through my lady garden lol... freaked me out!!

Good luck oi !! Fingers crossed

tye glad you took the sick advice!!

oimissus 20.11.11 (38wks+2)
darcies 22.11.11
seven 22.11.11
cheep 23.11.11

mopsytop · 14/11/2011 10:08

Seven I can't even pack trousers into maternity bag as I only have 2 maternity pairs and I need to be wearing them now! I am just going to have to come home in what I wear in.

msbuggy I get that pain a lot, I think it's round ligament pain. I have to stop what I am doing for a few minutes when it happens as I can't move, but then it just goes again. Not massively pleasant.

Still feeling under the weather. This chapter is not getting done :( ARGH!

hawthers · 14/11/2011 10:10

can i put down dates in i'd like??!

requesting the 8-10th december please (38 to 38+3)

mopsytop · 14/11/2011 10:15

I would like the 16 -18 December, please... (38+5-39)

hawthers · 14/11/2011 10:16

i've got a wierd pain under my shoulder blade when i breath in and it kind of extends round to the front of my shoulder. if i was feeling melodramatic i'd say it feels like my aorta hurts but really i've probably just slept funny. anyone familiar with this at all?

have started growing out of my mat clothes now which is pretty alarming. i'm with mopsy i've only got limited clothes available so i'll have to be sending dh home to get my coming home outfit. luckily we only live a 5 min walk from teh hospital.

mopsytop · 14/11/2011 10:21

I've been feeling like my lungs hurt hawthers. I am seriously turning into a mega hypochondriac. The doctor on Friday said to come back in if I was short of breath/had a pain in my leg. All weekend have been convinced I am breathless and have pain in leg. But I know I am just being a drama queen! It makes me so anxious. Just want to get back to normal, non-pregnant, non-hypochondriac me!

msbuggywinkle · 14/11/2011 11:02

Thank you everyone for the reassurance! Seems odd that I haven't had it before then...

cheep typical! You seem to have a contrary baby!

I'll have the 10.11.11 please, will be exactly 39 weeks and works perfectly for DP's leave!

I didn't get to sleep until after 2am this morning, felt like hell getting up but I did enjoy watching DD1 sit up in her sleep, yell 'it is all poo!' then lie back down...she did have a nightmare again after a few nights off, she dreamed that someone took DD2 away so has been being very sweet to DD2 all morning.

I'm off to down a cafetiere of coffee now!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 14/11/2011 11:36

Hey Ladies,

Dr said baby has moved down so now 4/5 engaged and in perfect birthing position, Heartbeat is good too. He said as Darcie was early more likely this one will be too. He was also concerned about the odema in my legs & feet said I need to keep them up - yeah like I can do that!

Right now i'm sat with a cuppa T, some bourbon biscuits & catching up on Greys Anatomy :)

mopsytop · 14/11/2011 11:39

'citing Darcies ... nearly there p'raps?
mmm bourbons. Can't have biscuits in the house or will just eat the whole pack in one go ... no self control Blush

DarciesmumandBump2 · 14/11/2011 11:42

Mopsy I'm planning on eating the entire pack, making up for DP eating all the custard creams! Grin

mopsytop · 14/11/2011 11:44

Oh god custard creams. Totally having cravings now :)

DarciesmumandBump2 · 14/11/2011 11:48

opps Grin

KateM77 · 14/11/2011 11:53

Sounds like it won't be long for you now then Darcies. Good luck!

I'm just aiming to get past 22nd Nov. I'll be 37 + 3, which is the day DD arrived after my waters initially broke at 36 + 6. Main thing is that in another week we should have DD's new room finished and her moved out of the nursery, so I'll be feeling a lot more prepared.

22nd Nov is our wedding anniversary. We've been together 9.5 years but only got married 3 years ago. The anniversaries so far have been quite eventful - we were flying to Barbados on the first one, and were in in hospital with DD for her third operation last year. I'm hoping this one passes relatively unnoticed Wink

hawthers · 14/11/2011 11:54

am so pleased that other people are able to eat an entire packet of biscuits in one sitting. several packets of custard creams have met their end that way in the hawthers house during DS' afternoon naps recently.

today however i've got a fairy cake made by my own fair hand sat on my desk looking longingly at me.

msbuggywinkle · 14/11/2011 12:00

My cravings are all savoury...mainly beef. Particularly steak, so DP is taking me out to a lovely pub in a couple of weeks (when PIL can have the girls!) to eat my own body weight in steak and chips!

Sorelip · 14/11/2011 12:01

Hi all!

I am severely pissed off. Had consultant appointment today, where it was discovered (by the amazing act of someone actually reading my notes and test results) that I have had a water infection for...two fucking months. Two FUCKING months I have been putting up with having to piss every 15 minutes, and having stabbing pains in my bladder area, because what with this being my first baby, I thought it was normal. Then they wanted me to come back in 4 weeks, so I went to make the appointment. Around 10 minutes later, in a crowded room full of pregnant women and a care worker taking forever to do anything, I lost my patience and left. One bus ride to the hospital later (to collect my prescription and have a blood test), I was ready to rip off the heads of those bastards rude enough to allow two heavily pregnant women to stand whilst they sat on their fat arses. Blood test centre was full, so for the second time today, the words "Fuck this" escaped my lips and I left.

I am now going to binge on crap.

On a more positive note, I want to give birth this month, but have a feeling that I'll get to around 18-20th December before he decides to grace the world with his presence. 37 weeks tomorrow, yay!

Plu we are both going to Tommies!

Xiaoxiong · 14/11/2011 12:04

I'll take anywhere between Nov 25 and Dec 3 (the week up to my due date). Any earlier and Thanksgiving might be compromised, and DH might have to go back to work before the Christmas holidays...any later and he won't get his full 2 weeks of paternity leave!!

Highs:

  • Thanks to my mother's conversion, she went to the Fara baby charity shop in Pimlico yesterday and walked out with a big bag of clothes for a tenner - we now have 14 baby vests, 3 newborn babygros and 11 0-3 month ones...and all kinds of other cute things like stripy tights, a handmade little purple corduroy wrap jacket in 6 month size etc. Big difference from a month ago when we had 3 pieces of clothing total!!
  • Poss TMI but I've been practicing with the Epi-no and got to 8cm today. It's amazing to think - I know my perineum has been stretched to 8cm for 10 minutes today, 10cm can't be that much worse, especially just for a few minutes! I think the fear of it is much worse than the reality and the sensation is going to be much easier to visualise now.
  • DH and I spent some of the weekend putting together a birth playlist - I know objectively I don't like the tinkly bells and wind chimes on the hypnobirthing disc, but it is very relaxing and I now associate it with the hypno scripts. But there isn't that much of it so we've got some other things on there (in the hypno/calming/relaxing/empowering vein) - a lot of , , Elizabeth Mitchell, Kate Wolf, Philip Glass, Tallis, Byrd, Victoria etc etc.

Lows:

  • I've been sleeping ok but my hips and hands are so sore when I wake up that it's almost unbearable
  • poor old DH told me I was snoring really loudly last night because I was propped up on pillows Blush
DarciesmumandBump2 · 14/11/2011 12:05

Hawthers the cake I made has gone into work with DP so I have to eat my weight in biscuits.

msbuggy I could eat steak, chips & huge mushrooms yum yum

msbuggywinkle · 14/11/2011 12:30

tyel I'm still amazed at the conversion!

I'm planning to do a playlist next weekend...although I have a feeling I am going to annoy everyone by insisting in having this over and over, I keep singing it all the time at the moment. As I sang through DD2's birth I'm being really fussy about what I put on as I know exactly what kind of music I need!

OiMissus · 14/11/2011 12:31

Our estimates:

oimissus 20.11.11 (38wks+2)
darcies 22.11.11
seven 22.11.11
kate beyond 22.11.11 (37+3)
cheep 23.11.11
tyel 25.11 ? 3.12.11
hawthers 8-10.12.11 (38 -38+3)
msbuggy 10.12.11 (39wks)
mopsy 16-18.12.11 (38+5 ? 39)
sorelip 18.12.11

and sorelip, you certainly have my sympathies regarding incompetence regarding water infections! It is crazy. We have to give urine samples all the time precisely because the results are important and effect pregnancy. So why ignore the results??! Grrr!
Treat yourself to chocolate (or whole packs of biscuits) and make yourself feel better! Mmm gingernuts.
I bought a sandwich from the van at 8.30... it lasted til 10.30. Now I have nothing. :(

OiMissus · 14/11/2011 12:34

I'm going to get DH to update the ipod this evening. And I will annoy everyone with my choices, but I now what I need to distract me, and it's the stuff I sing to ...and not the stuff that DH likes!

hawthers · 14/11/2011 12:47

might have to edit my playlist before we get to the hosp. DH asked last night 'we are having def leopard on there aren't we?' er no!

Xiaoxiong · 14/11/2011 12:47

Hmm mrsbuggy - that links to a Family Guy clip for me...but I'm a first-timer so what do I know Wink

DarciesmumandBump2 · 14/11/2011 12:54

Need to update mine too. thanks for the reminder :)

lalababy · 14/11/2011 12:57

Hmmm... I'll have any time between 7.12.2011 (when my mum arrives) till 18.12.2011 (due date). Really..really...REALLY do not want to go over my EDD. Coz frankly I am freakin fed up of being preggo!

My back/ribs are causing me agony and this morning I work up and my feet and ankles have doubled in size. WTF???? I haven't done anything differently, never had swollen ankles before and now I look like I have elephantitis! Plus - I have non stop heartburn! Feel like the most unattractive I have ever been. Waaa!!! And am still at work...

For those of you at work at 37 weeks... HOW DO YOU DO IT? At 35 weeks I am struggling!
