Sorry for the new thread and crap name but i needed to start one oi how are you doing good luck xxx

I have fallen off the face of MN for a week or so and have loadsss to catch up on! I have been busy doing coursework and seriously nesting!!

PGP is awful, to the point of making me cry, finally got a pyshio app, but not for another 2 weeks :( doesnt seem much point. OH continues not to even attempt a massage if i ask and rolls his eyes.

Been having really bad shooting pains that take my breath away, but seems as though baby is head down (and very low) im guessing its a nerve he is on.

Very strange and TMI... but earlier (when i went to the toilet) i could feel what felt like the head bulging on the outside, through my lady garden lol... freaked me out!!

Good luck oi !! Fingers crossed

tye glad you took the sick advice!!

Rang Labour Ward, she doesn't think it's labour and thinks its baby head descending further, said to take paracetamol and to try and get some sleep.

sevensevenseven · 13/11/2011 20:14

Hope you feel better tomorrow then darcies.

Is anyone else struggling to eat much? It seems daft that the point at which we need more calories coincides with there being less room for our stomachs! DH keeps giving me stern looks for not finishing my meals but I just physically can't eat anymore!

plupervert · 13/11/2011 20:42

Sorelip, do you think you might have a cold or mild 'flu? If you are dehydrated and your sinuses are stuffed, your whole face might feel strange. Combine that with being stuffed with a baby, and your lungs could feel squashed, too....

Best to call your midwife line for advice about the combination of symptoms, though.

PullyWoolOver · 13/11/2011 20:54

Hi all, sorry for radio silence, last full week at work last week and they really getting their moneys worth out of me... Not to worry, only a few days left until mat leave ( and unlimited mn!!) Grin

Lots to catch up on so will scroll on down to see what you've all been up to.

Disproved the myth that 8-month pregnant women can't move fast this morning. DP brought me a cuppa in bed as I settled down to read the papers...until a huge spider crawled out from between the pages. Well, you have never seen anyone move so fast, I was like greased lightening as I leaped hell for leather out of bed and onto a handy chair. DP was collapsed in a heap of hysterical laughter while poor baby was surely puzzled as to what on earth was going on. Blush Smile

We still got it (if we need it that is...)!

Speak soon

DarciesmumandBump2 · 13/11/2011 21:32

Thanks Seven

Feeling tired but not sleepy. Baby is very active tho

LittleMissFlustered · 13/11/2011 22:11

Evening ladies.

For those who were asking, I'm feeling a lot more in control today, thank you. I rummaged about and have found the letter from nutty section of pregnancy central, my appointment is this week coming. So that should be fun if nothing elseHmm

Not done much today, I have managed to feed the kids and the washing machine. Thankfully the former got food and the latter laundry and detergent so no need for alarm:) I did manage to get a crib... Lady local is selling a nice on on eBay. I asked via the messages how local she was and it turns out that it's a short drive. She has ended the auction and is selling me the crib for the starting price of £25 as she is fed up of having it in her house and the auction has another six days to run with no bids as yet. Hoping to pick it up tomorrow or Tuesday. Apparently it's flat packable, which makes me happy, as I like a good bit of flat pack.

I'm also finding eating a chore. My appetite has vanished. A main meal could easily be dished up on a side plate for me at the minute, so I'm drinking a glass of milk during the evening too just so I know I'm getting some calories in three too.

Baby is insanely active, and moving from horizontal to vertical is proving trying, I think if it came to it I'd just shift over and make room for a spider on my bedWink

I'm in bed with one of the cats now. I have filled a form in, updated my calendar on my phone and have brought a notebook up so I can indulge in a bit of therapeutic list making. I do enjoy making a list. I rarely act on them but the act of writing them calms me right down.

Hope all those in an get some rest, and that those of you with energy left sustain it. I will be mostly trying to rearrange the cupboard of doom tomorrow as if I don't there's going to be no more room for stuff in it. I have a steriliser, the stuff that goes with it, half a cot, a crib, a vibrating chair thingie and a stash of Christmas presents to get in it. It looks full, but I know it's just a case of rearranging things. The guys who make the Professor Layton games have nothing on me when it comes to making weird shapes fit in a cuboid spaceWink Better get some sleep really! Night folks.

sevensevenseven · 13/11/2011 22:24

LMF I love lists, everyone thinks I'm weird :o Sounds like you're getting a good bargain with the crib.

Just in case anyone's brain is as rubbish as mine at the moment re-check your hospital bags. I went to add a couple of last minute bits to mine and realised I didn't have any trousers to come home in, could have been interesting Blush.

DH is still at work, I've spent the last hour in bed with my knitting. Night folks!

plupervert · 13/11/2011 23:01

Oh, dear. I'm getting a bit desperate about the contents of this sodding hospital bag. Can't we just give birth in a hospital gown and save any clothes for coming home? I've already added towels and God-wot to the (wheely) suitcase, and it's not going to hold a lot more, unless I take out nappies and maternity towels.

(or flipping stick the maternity towels and nappies to ourselves - surely if they are that absorbent, they will be warm enough?)

Sorry to grump. It's been a bad weekend. DH ended up working from home and doing lots of catch-up sleeping, and I was extremely ratty with both him and DS as a result (also, particularly, I had to cancel going to a concert to see a friend as a result of the overflow work). I ought to have gone to bed ages ago, but it's rather an unappealing choice: lying awake for ages, versus spending some time online reading things like this, from the lovely people at Pedants' Corner, who responded to my curmudgeonly post yesterday. Smile

LittleMissFlustered · 13/11/2011 23:07

Plu I found that if space was tight, using the nappy bag for the nappies and baby clothes saves a lot of space, and balances nicely on top of a wheely suitcase:)

LittleMissFlustered · 13/11/2011 23:08

Also, leggings squidge into the smallest of spaces:o

plupervert · 13/11/2011 23:21

Oh, no, we're back to leggings! I used to love them, but can't find any long enough for me now, thanks to this silly fashion for capris in all sorts of bottoms (trousers, leggings, chinos, etc.). Am surprised there are no capri corduroys around. Hmm

Right, it's really time to retire. I've just printed off a map of the hospital, to wave at a taxi driver, so I get to the right entrance, and have watched an online tour of the maternity unit. Doing my homework the night before seeing my midwife tomorrow... I'm still motivated by deadlines....

Wishing everyone a peaceful night's sleep.

msbuggywinkle · 14/11/2011 00:27

Why am I awake!!!

Anyway, lack of sleeping aside, I keep getting what feels like a stitch in one side of my bump. Always in the same place and it goes quickly when I do the hypnotherapy breathing so I'm assuming it is something muscular. Ring any bells anyone? If nothing else, I have at least now had a pregnancy niggle that I've never had before!

kri5ty · 14/11/2011 07:26

lmf glad you're feeling a little better :-)

darcies how are u this morning?

plu lol the vibration could be part of me! I'd be more worried if it was though lol, ddidn't have any yesterday so may just make a note of what im doing next time it happens!

Told oh I don't really want visitors at the hospital, then FIL said... I'll be on my way as soon as I get the news... wonder if I could bribe the mw to say I'm not up for visits lol

Did the hospital tour on sarurday, was rubbish but I found out where I can book my private room yay lol

Mmmmcheese · 14/11/2011 08:01

msbuggy sounds like round ligament pain to me. Or maybe the baby pressing on a nerve?

kirsty you could just not tell anyone that the baby ahas arrived until youre ready to receive visitors? Or you could say when you text/call that youre not up to visitors yet or that the mws have said you need to restnor something?

I had 4 hours sleep last night so slightly better than the nigt before! Im so shattered though. Thougt things wer kicking off this morning as lots of period pain and lower back ache. Settled a bit now. She needs to hold on for 4 more days so ill be 35 weeks.

plu thanjs for that link, i killed some time in the night laughing at all the spelling mistakes. Im always amazed how many of my higly educated friends dont know the difference between your and you're! Although there are so many typos in my posts so i cant talk! My excuse is using keyboard on the tablet and its a pain, i dont bother with apostrophes as have to go to another page and its too much hassle.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 14/11/2011 08:04

Morning Ladies.

Plu I love leggings & Jeggings. Capri pants would look silly on me right now!

I slept on and off last night, couldn't get comfortable at all - bloody cramp. Just going to take some paracetomal and get Make sure DD has everything for school. Got MW on weds so will see what he says
Then - if baby stays in till then lol Grin

OiMissus · 14/11/2011 08:34

Morning all, msbuggy stitches in bumps is a common occurance with me at the moment, but only for a couple of seconds - just enough to make me stop and fold in half and say ouch a lot, then it trails off. I assume it's the baby manoevring into place.
As for hospital bags... first of all, don't worry about getting them all packed and completely ready. I found that it was something to do whilst I was having the contractions.
Also, we probably won't need half of what is on the list. Plan on being there for one night only.
Am in the office today... first time since two weeks ago. :)

cheeptrick · 14/11/2011 08:50

Yay 37 weeks pg today Smile

Baby can now suck and if she comes now will help her bf Smile

After all the drama of the past two weeks i now have no BH or pains and nothing is happening. I had morning sickness today and baby is low down and bottom of bump feels havry and hip/back pain but no BH/contractions Sad

I have a mountain of baby clothes to wash and i can't wait till Friday and the cleaners come Grin

sevensevenseven · 14/11/2011 09:08

Morning, squeeze!

cheep typical that it all stops as soon as you reach 37 weeks!

I'm probably worrying over nothing but should I be concerned about low blood pressure? It's 92/69, normally around 120 so exceptionally low for me. I feel ok except a strange uncomfortable feeling in my bump and being exceptionally tired since yesterday morning.

cheeptrick · 14/11/2011 09:19

I would call midwife and cheek tbh.

Yep typical Grin

Anyone having a bet when they will go into labour?

I think it will be 23rd November for me, but its just a guess.

BluebellsintheSpring · 14/11/2011 09:31

Msbuggy I kept getting 'stitches' in bump for a while which only went with deep breathing but they seem to have stopped.

Seven - no idea about the blood pressure. I know that it's normal for it to be lower in first/second trimester but it usually comes back up towards the end. Mine was 100/60 at last appnt and she was perfectly happy. However, don't know what it means if there is a sudden drop. I'd phone m/w just to check if unsure.

Pregnancy brain moment this morning: tried to put a 2nd pair of glasses on over my 1st. Not a good look! I'm just loving not being in work though!

sevensevenseven · 14/11/2011 09:40

Can't get hold of MW, will try again later.

bluebells I tried to make a cup of tea without a teabag earlier so I wouldn't worry!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 14/11/2011 09:50

Cheep DP reckons thanksgiving for us!

Seven I'd call the MW as one of the GPs I work with said if your BP changes by 20 then you def need to get checked over.

My god talk about cramp/tightening hard to sit down. Got appt at 10:10 with my GP to get checked over.

OiMissus · 14/11/2011 09:58

Dates so far:
oimissus 20.11.11 (38wks+2)
darcies 22.11.11
cheep 23.11.11

Anyone else proposed their date yet? Who've I missed.
(Tis wishful thinking on my part - the 18th would be better, really. Grin)

Mmmmcheese · 14/11/2011 09:59

seven i think the concern is more if it goes up suddenly than down. I have low blood pressure and it has got down to 60/30 and theyre not worried. Makes you feel funny thats all. Make sure you are drinking enough and have something to eat. And just be careful about not standing up too long in case you feel faint.

Just had a lovely 1 1/2 hour nap and feel a bit better. So glad ds at the childminder!

Mmmmcheese · 14/11/2011 10:00

Can i be difficult and have two dates?! I think either 18th nov or 1st dec for me.
