Sorry for the new thread and crap name but i needed to start one oi how are you doing good luck xxx

I have fallen off the face of MN for a week or so and have loadsss to catch up on! I have been busy doing coursework and seriously nesting!!

PGP is awful, to the point of making me cry, finally got a pyshio app, but not for another 2 weeks :( doesnt seem much point. OH continues not to even attempt a massage if i ask and rolls his eyes.

Been having really bad shooting pains that take my breath away, but seems as though baby is head down (and very low) im guessing its a nerve he is on.

Very strange and TMI... but earlier (when i went to the toilet) i could feel what felt like the head bulging on the outside, through my lady garden lol... freaked me out!!

Good luck oi !! Fingers crossed

tye glad you took the sick advice!!

Morning all. Had a rough evening; BH are out of control. On top of the back pain I had intermittent stabby pain at the top of my bump which took my breath away & left me wanting to punch someone in the face Angry Labour I was expecting but this is just ridiculous; I'm so worn out now....surely this can't continue for the next few weeks Confused My bump is sooo tender now; I feel like I've been repeatedly kicked by someone wearing football boots!

Aside from that though; I had a very productive day yesterday, bought some bits & pieces in town then came home & splurged on ebay...doing online tesco shop today which should cover the boring stuff; maternity pads etc. Feeling much better prepatred :)

kri5ty · 13/11/2011 10:30

Hey everyone been MIA

My OH has surprised me with a few days of birthday celebrations, which on Saturday ended up with a surprise pregnancy pampering package at the spa, booked in to a lovely hotel and a gorgeous meal... guess he does listen when I say I need a massage lol

I haven't had chance to catch up with you all, hope you're all doing as well as possible?

Just posted this on the pregnancy form but will ask here too....

Strange one...

I'm 35+5 and for the past few weeks I have been feeling a vibration at the top of my bump, just near my rib cage. Baby is head down

It feels like when you use a slendertone abs belt... I can't really describe it other than a vibration

Has anyone else felt this? I think my mw will think I'm mad!

OP posts:
OiMissus · 13/11/2011 10:45

Kristy you are mad Wink.
Not had vibrations, sorry.
Am really happy that Your OH spoilt you rotten. Hurrah!!! Let's hope he keeps it up for the next few weeks.
hlc if these aches and pains continue, none of us will be fit for labour! That's why I want to get it over with!! Smile

kri5ty · 13/11/2011 11:14

oi I'm not as mad as I first thought... 2 other people have had them on the pregnancy forum! Yay hehe

So sorry you're all feeling bad... fingers crossed its not too long now x

No vibrations from this end... Though the walk intotown and back has tired me out and getting lots of BH since! Yoghurt lassi cravings are nuts too: am on my second pint of the stuff already. Co-op must think I am veru strange with the amount of natural yoghurt I buy from there!

About the hug thing: pure hearsay/chinese whisperd rather than fact: someome on another thread said "we're not meant to write (((hugs))) as MNHQ don't like it" but I haven't worked out why or seen it anywhere offical. May be total bobbins.

So shall we have a sweepstake as to who will be first/last to drop? I am betting I'll be right at the back: Widget isn't due til the 27th and DD2 was a week late!

LittleMissFlustered · 13/11/2011 14:43

Due 29th and my previous two were born at 41+5, the longest my PCT will allow you to go without breaking out the drugs and crochet hooks >_< :o

msbuggywinkle · 13/11/2011 15:04

Mine have been 5 weeks early and a week early and I'm due on the 17th so it is unlikely I'll be one of the last!

kristy sounds like you had a great time!

I'm sooooo tired now, but I have a fortnight of dinners, 24 flapjacks and 24 marmalade muffins in the freezer! I'm spending the rest of Sunday on the sofa and having chips for dinner tonight. I do feel organised enough to have a baby now though!

bennybenbear · 13/11/2011 15:31

Hey Kri5ty, glad the OH made a good effort for your bday!

I also went to aquanatal today and was well proud of myself making dinner for my parents (as DH is away), quiche for tomorrow, apple pie and jam tarts. However as I opened the oven I discovered that the pastry I brought from asda which was labelled as shortcrust was in fact puff!!! V angry but serve me right for not making my own pastry I guess!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 13/11/2011 15:49

Afternoon Ladies.

No vibrations here.

Kri5ty ahh lovely that your DH spoiled you on your b/day Smile

We're not freezing anything here, DP is the chef in our house so is happy to cook everyday.

Slight TMI:

Today I woke up feeling very peculiar, nauseous with loose bowels and cramps that brought tears to my eyes. Couldn't sit down as hurt to much and the pressure is emmense. Also got what feels like tummy ache pains over my bump but doesnt seem to go hard iykwim. Baby is very active and think def moving down more, when moves and got the cramp/tightenings OMG defiant to stop moving and breathe. So not sure what's happening.....any ideas?

hawthers · 13/11/2011 15:52

Hospital bag packed, birth plan written, hospital car parking investigated, pain relief discussed with Dh, pep talk had with Dh, Dm officially on call - bring it on, I'm as ready as I'll ever be!

< runs away to hide under a rock quaking>

mopsytop · 13/11/2011 15:57

Darcies sounds like it could be labour beginning, no? Loose bowels apparently a sign...

DarciesmumandBump2 · 13/11/2011 16:02

Mopsy DP & I thought maybe was early labour but I'm just not sure. I don't want to ring labour ward until I get some proper contractions. I just don't know, currently having a bath to see what that does.

kri5ty · 13/11/2011 16:06

darcies is it early labour? Just read your post, I'd still ring the ward, because they can tell you what it is? X

OP posts:
mopsytop · 13/11/2011 16:06

I guess when it is, you'll know? It's only 'cos the midwife mentioned it the other day in the antenatal class, but apparently this 'latent' stage can go on for ages :( good luck! I hope it's not too painful ...

OiMissus · 13/11/2011 16:09

I told everyone at aquanatal that I'm having the baby next weekend. That's what I've decided. Wink maybe Darcies you'll beat me to it!
(I'll probably be late, but I'm training my brain to believe the baby is coming early. PMA!)

DarciesmumandBump2 · 13/11/2011 16:10

Kri5ty I'm not sure, I don't remember the latent/early stage of labour with DD, I just remember waking up with contractions.

Mopsy not sure what to do.

msbuggywinkle · 13/11/2011 16:18

Yep, latent stage can last for ages, but I would ring the mws too darcies if nothing else they can give you a plan of action in case.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 13/11/2011 16:32

The only thing that makes me think it's it labour is that my bump doesn't seem to go hard when I get a cramp/tightening

aethelfleda · 13/11/2011 16:50

Ring the labour ward and have a chat with thr MW darcies, and good luck if this is things starting!

mopsytop · 13/11/2011 16:51

Why not ring triage anyway? They'll give you advice and remember, that's what they are there for!

plupervert · 13/11/2011 17:06

Are you feelinjg any better today, LittleMissFlustered?

Great news that you finally got your massage, kri5ty, and that it was a proper one!
With regard to your vibration, do you think it might be part of you? After all, all our organs are still there, just disarranged and under pressure.

Sorry you're in pain, too, seven, Honey, Oimissus, Mmmcheese. (God, what a list of us!). Sorry about the sickness, msbuggywinkle

"serve me right for not making my own pastry I guess!" bennybenbear, are you nuts?! Perfectionism is the worst thing for any woman, let alone a mother! Very naughty; don't do it again! Smile

Have you had a "show" yet, Darcies?

DarciesmumandBump2 · 13/11/2011 17:13

Plu not had a show per Se. but then again didn't get one with DD until I was in active labour, so couldn't tell you what it looked like!

Cramps are there but the tightening seems to of stopped since I've had a bath do maybe just BH! if they start again I'll ring the MW.

Benny I can't even make pastry so your doing better than me already lol

BluebellsintheSpring · 13/11/2011 17:47

Darcies hope all okay and if it is labour - good luck!

LMF sounds like you have it tough. Sending virtual hugs - hope you're feeling better today.

I was thinking we've done really well to get to this stage without more births as well! To those who want them soon, hope it happens! I'm the opposite - ideally would like another 2 weeks. On Mat leave now but have final interview on Wed and not quite sorted in new house/haven't washed any baby stuff. Also the natal hypnotherapy/epi no prep has all fallen off the horizon so feel like another 2 weeks would get me to a better place of readiness. We'll see...

Sorelip · 13/11/2011 17:56

Feeling really sick, tired. Skin on my forehead feels weird. Chest feels strange. Baby is moving fine. Anything to worry about?

sevensevenseven · 13/11/2011 18:26

sorelip in what way does your chest feel strange? Could it just be because your lungs are getting squashed? Not sure about weird skin. I'd suggest maybe paracetamol and an early night and ring MW if it gets any worse.

darcies how far are you now? If you're still under 35 weeks ring your MW if you think there's even the slightest chance it could be labour.

I don't think I'll be last either. I'm predicting within the next fortnight, DH thinks it will be this week. His boss told him I'm not allowed to give birth this week because they're short-staffed Hmm
