is it oddeyes??? omg will ask - femur 50% head 65% abdo 97% !!!!!!!
thanks will ask!

hermionejgranger · 09/12/2011 02:53

notnotter we have average femur, slightly large head and giant beer belly here too - had gtt last week and all ok - so it's not a foregone conclusion...although as oddeyes says it is an indicator.

littlemonkeybix · 09/12/2011 07:01

Well... im awake early (alarm due in 30) hungry... and want weetabix with brown sugar, and a massive glass of fresh orange..... water it is then.... Damn you GTT !!!!

babycarmen · 09/12/2011 09:51

mellie great news :D Lovely names too! We still cant decide a middle name for our baby girl.

hermione No idea if the tea/massage/etc work but im going to try anything that might make things easier! Grin And dont feel bad about work, i agree with phlossie, rest while you can!

I was really craving some nice juicy pineapple last night, Cut myself some and sat on the sofa munching and DP started with "you might go into labour if you eat that, are you sure its a good idea, blah blah blah" So he got the angry-pregnant-woman 'look' and soon shut up.

So, whose having a tipple at christmas? Wine Im considering one glass of something light and sparkly, nothing against having the odd drink in pregnancy but i havent had any so far just because i havent felt like it. But with a very hyper 4yr old DD on christmas day, i think i might need a glass... Xmas Wink

deardear · 09/12/2011 11:27

I will have a tipple but only one a day otherwise i will be on my back! Looking forwards to Christmas - only got to get some vouchers now for my brothers and SIL and a few bits of shopping as we are eating at my mums for christmas.

Bit painful this morning on my left hand side. Really crampy running right round my back - sure its just muscular but kept me awake most the night. Am at work like the good soldier I am but glad its the weekend.

deardear · 09/12/2011 12:15

ok now I need a SERIOUS EFFING JEFFING rant!

I have a week left at work. 2 days of that next week are interviews for a new full time job to part cover my job.

boss has landed so much stuff on my desk in the last 10 minutes I cant even see it! She has done this as apparently she has nothing to do - so why cnat she do her own effing filing! She is now sitting on the internet and has asked for coffee!

Boy I cant wait to finish. she is going to have such a shock when i have gone as cant see a new person doing her dirty work!!

PDog · 09/12/2011 12:50

Hello all, not posted for awhile and now can't remember who said what other than the posts I can see on the page!

To all those who are having problems with work, I feel your pain. I still have sooo much and I also have a boss who has no clue. He is on holiday in January so I only actually have 7 more working days while he is around. He is supposed to be covering parts of my job so no idea when I am supposed to do a handover. Think a lot of them will be in for a big shock when we are not around to help.

On the poo front, I am clogged up at the mo. No surprise given the lack of fruit and veg over the last week. Going to GP on Monday to see if they can prescribe something.

Really starting to panic now. Still have to paint the spare room before we can move DD in, still haven't ordered pram, still haven't got anything out of the garage for the baby - arrgh! Also, I still have Christmas shopping to do and it is DD's birthday this weekend so tonight after work I have to make a cake then we are travelling to our home town tomorrow morning and have the afternoon to get shopping in and start cooking for DD's family party at MIL's on Sunday. DH has been away since last Sunday so has been no help at all and I am completely knackered.

Babyc yes, I will most definately be having a glass of bubbly on Christmas day. No more though or I will be on my back!

Good luck with the GTT test Monkey. Am I the only one on this thread who hasn't had one? Hmm

phlossie · 09/12/2011 13:10

I haven't, PDog - this time! And I will definitely be supping the bubbly on Christmas day. So far this pregnancy, apart from the odd sip of DH's beer, I've only been able to manage Champagne. Baby has expensive taste!

OddEyes · 09/12/2011 13:24

NotnOtter, tis only an indicator. Don't panic. Sorry to have worried you. I got positive GD result from GTT and baby's abdomen is normal compared to hulk like head and femur. Just find that you have to be the one on the ball in all of this, had to ask for my Anti-D last week!!!

littlemonkeybix · 09/12/2011 16:08

I am not diabetic! WOOHOO!! all came back clear Xmas Grin

However there was yet again a stuff up at the hospital. The nurse who did my bloods, wrote someone elses results on my notes. Honestly, there will be one appointment where I get a normal run of things... won't I??!

I will be having a glass of sparkles for Xmas day, in the evening. We have a bottle of prosecco from waitrose (on offer for half price... woohoo) waiting to pop at my parents. We're having Xmas dinner on our own (only chance ever to Grin then doing visits for his family, then home to meet up with my parents who are a 5 min walk round the corner for Xmas evening. Really looking forward to it.

I have had a couple of snifters of alcohol, but to the extent of a half of real ale, but only finishing 2/3 and giving the rest to DP. Or a glass of wine... Or a glass of shandy. I've just not wanted any. Occasionally when DP has a beer, I get "1st sips" Xmas Grin

Hope we're all ok today... I am but was tiiiired. Hot hospital waiting room, and was uncomfy last night, so up early this morn.

27+4

littlemonkeybix · 09/12/2011 16:09

Sorry - bottle is in ours, we're taking it to my parents. Just read it back, and it sounded wrong!

babycarmen · 09/12/2011 16:26

Ive not had the GTT either, going without food for my scan was bad enough :| Glad most peoples results are coming back clear though :)

QueenFee · 09/12/2011 16:32

Epo evening primrise oil.

Wrote a long post last night then phone died just as I clicked post. Off out with the girls will probably have a glass of something as i have been proper fed up this week :/ hence I arranged an emergency night out. The kids are soo hyped for christmas. Doing my head in.

10 weeks feels like forever!

9+5

phlossie · 09/12/2011 17:56

Feels like so long that you say you're only 9+5 weeks, eh Queenfee?!

We've had a duvet day today. DS is off school sick. He had a really high temperature. He's already getting the whole man flu thing, though - the drama! We watched Nightmare Before Christmas, Home Alone and The Jungle Book.

woowa · 09/12/2011 20:11

WHo is the sling meet person? IS it queenfee? Sorry for forgetfulness. I washed my woven wrap sling today in preparation (HOW exciting!) - can I use it from birth, or is it true what people say about waiting to see if they have clicky hips at 6 week check? I can't remember what I did last time, I was so anaemic and week I think I didn't start carrying DD from birth, but i think i'd like to this time, but obviously don't want to hurt it!! I always used a cross carry last time and plan to again since it's my preferred way to tie, if that helps!

I've had a pants day, so tired and much losing temper with DD. I feel terrible about shouting and crying so much.

telly now, and knitting. There is loads of other stuff I SHOULD be doing but I need to rest!! 32+3 eek!

Kayano · 09/12/2011 20:28

Zzzzzzzzzzz

Zzzzzzzzzzzz

Zzzzzz

My weekend plans. That is all x

Crazybit · 09/12/2011 23:49

Hi all, have skimmed but no chance of catching up properly as usual. I spend too much time on FB (can't you all post there?! Wink)

I read about the torch thing too and did it and the baby went crazy too, as though it was reaching out to it, it looked like a hand followed it.

News from me in short: Baby has eptopic heartbeats-missing some, so have been to the hopspital 3 times this week, had a scan today and saw a visual of the heartbeat. doctor said it is missing quite a few but he is not too worried, just need to have mw listen twice a week to make sure the heart rate does not get too fast. Gtt and infection tests all came back normal.

Moan alert: I am getting so stressed with OH away till christmas, dd1 makes my blood pressure shoot up every single day with her attitide/answering back/ignoring what I say, she's 11 going on 15. I could quite happily send her somewhere for a few weeks....also, dd2 had headlice last week, sorted them out, checked me and dd1 and we where clear. Washed all the bedding, towels hats etc, then dd1 says she has itchy head on Wed, she's covered so have to treat her over night and I found one in my own hair last night, so need to start all over again with us all. Am conditioning combing with nitty gritty but it's hard to do myself, dd1 has the thickest hair ever and it really hurts my back doing them two. GP wont give me anything on prescription and told me to buy over the counter I think I will just have to keep wet combing until Fri when they break up and buy some of the strongest stuff I can find, I'm sure I read somewhere that alcohol is good...maybe to drink whilst doing it.

Anyway, sorry for the moaning, am off to itch head!

littlemonkeybix · 09/12/2011 23:51

I have found a secret remedy to headaches... paracetemol not quite working so keep demanding DP do head massages!! Well its worked 2 nights so far !!

littlemonkeybix · 09/12/2011 23:54

Awww sorry x posted there!! Hope the bloody lice feck off soon.... boooooooo!!!

littlemonkeybix · 09/12/2011 23:56

Oh yeah... whole bed to me tonight... DP off to his parents to stay for 2nights as they're away. he'll be here in the day but sleeping there. can be a bit shitty where they live so he'd rather someone in the house at night than not!! Yay for me though... MY BED!!!

deardear · 10/12/2011 06:19

Crazy know what you mean about 11 year olds DDs. Mine just starting with the hormones - been through it with Dd1 and she just about through it now. I just tend to ignore the answering back and tell her to leave the room and shut the door behind her as I could honestly batter her when she gets one on her - DD1 that is. Other one is slightly easier to control. This little boy is going to be a bread compared to the girly hormones lol.

Fingers crossed HB sorts itslf out and better they know about it than don't.

Been awake since half four. Got a real muscle pain in my side again and suspect it won't go till I get up and start moving about. dH hfas gone off to work so nice in bed on my own. He brought me a cuppa up and I have snaffled some fruit shortcake bi cues so might just nod back off in a bit.

Bought him an iPad for chrimbo the other day. Must say I am mighty impressed! He has had it already though as he had a couple of lay off days as he is working the weekend so wanted him to be able to play on it on his own with no kids snaffling it.

Have told myself I am mopping all the wood floors today. That said I wonder how much will get done once the fire is lit in the lounge?

Hope we all have a good weekend

QueenFee · 10/12/2011 12:52

I have so much to do today but i'm on here instead ;)

Woowa, i don't see an issue with clicky hips as they would be frog legged in a wrap anyway. I could see it possibly being an issue an a carrier such as bjorn though? I carried Alfie from birth and know lots of people who have. If they put them in a brace it is the angle at which you carry them anyway.

I went out last night and made the mistake of thinking I would wear what I wore last time I went out beginning of october. Epic fail couldnt the top on! My boobs and bump had expanded much more than I realised.

Dont know about 11yr olds my 7yr old is giving me a run for my money at the mo she is so stroppy and moody.

Headlice are a pain. Roumd here they are resistant to all shampoos so wet combing is the only way. Its cheaper anyway. We nit comb routinely after saturday baths just to check.

Talking of which we should be doing saturday baths ...

67 days till d day(sounds better!)

littlemonkeybix · 10/12/2011 14:00

Bedroom bath is almost done!! Run out of cutting discs so im content for him to stop for today. definitely a step forwards!! Now im off for a potter Grin

hermionejgranger · 10/12/2011 14:11

ooh I've not started counting down days til D day - I've been too concentrated on how many days left til I finish work. Will have to work it out!

We have the carpet men here at the moment laying the new carpet in the nursery (very quick work - they have been here 10 mins and nearly done!!!) and when they have finished we are putting the new nursery furniture up - squeeeee!! :D I will be so relieved when it's a "proper" room instead of just a nearly empty room where we have dumped all the baby stuff. But also it's highlighted the amount of denial I have been in without realising. All very well "knowing" I'm PG, but I'm finding it hard to believe that in about 10 weeks we will have a baby. An actual new person. It's kind of like at the very start when I really couldn't believe I was actually PG.

Kayano good weekend plans :)

I have been having a small glass of wine now and again but no more often than once a week. And will be having a small glass of wine on Christmas day.

30+1 (or 69 days til D day...69, dude!!) Xmas Grin

ZhenTheHallsWithBoughsOfHolly · 10/12/2011 16:16

Ok think I may be reaching MN overload! Grin

Been ill with 'flu since Monday, in bed for some of the time although with a toddler full rest not possible. Today is the first day that I haven't felt like sleeping all the time and I am starting to go a bit stir crazy with just the view, the kitten and MN for company (DH has taken DD out to play with friends kids).

Can't remember who started all the talk about headlice, but try Neem oil you can use neat to treat and comb out and then add a few drops to regular shampoo and conditioner and it keeps them away (they hate the smell or something).

Still not fully come to terms with the fact that in 10 weeks I will have another little one around either hermione! DH still has to decorate the entire flat (he won't let me help!) and although I have one already, we gave stuff away to my SIL who had her baby prematurely so have to get stuff back, plus buy a few extras.

I have had the odd small glass of beer, completely gone off red wine (which was my thimble-full when pregnant with DD), but at the moment I feel sick a lot of the time what with DD sitting quite high and the 'flu so the idea of alcohol is off-putting.
