Whinge away Queen, we dont mind Grin

Thank you Pam, in enjoying eating naughty stuff as I know I can loose it all again & my slinky clothes are waiting in the shed. Keeping it off is harder than losing as you don't get all those wow your doing so well comments & stuff after a while which is why I loved WW & will definitely go back. I helped on the shop too so was like a role model so had to stay good, lol x

babycarmen · 17/11/2011 19:53

Queen all i do on here is moan so dont worry! Thats what this place is good for to have a good moan :)

My moan for tonight: Im feeling very lonely and emotional tonight! DP is working 5-11 tonight and DD at grannys so im all alone for the 3rd night in a row :( sniff! Im just not used to it, i know i should enjoy the peace but i haaaaate being in the house myself, i had an 'incident' with a stalker-ex about 3 years ago when i was in the house alone not long after we moved in and its turned me into a total wimp. Pregnancy just makes everything worse! I know im just being stupid though. Im going to my cousins ann summers party tomorrow night which im so not in the mood for but at least it will get me out!

Baby just wont sit still tonight, its making me feel a bit sick! SO wish i could see how shes lying, it feels transverse again but how would i know!!

deardear · 17/11/2011 21:06

hello again returners and newbies :)

baby is very very active tonight! Huge kicks. Had lots in the hoof in the muff area (i like that one lol) earlier on but he has moved again and is high up again. sometimes it feels like he is going to appear out my backside he kicks it that hard!

currently watching CIN Rocks and didnt realise Hugh Laurie could sing like that! Also OMG that leotard Lady GAGA was wearing - my SIL said she was sure she winked at her pmsl

been a bit busy in here today - it was on 16 pages this morning and then came back to 18! How many more threads do you reckon we can get on the Feb Bus lol?

woowa · 17/11/2011 21:22

marking spot as usual, too tiredto sit up and type proprly...so tired today...but happy!

29+2...

woowa · 17/11/2011 21:26

OH, and packed emergency mini hospital bag today!!! eek! will do proper one after xmas when suitcase is no longer needed, but for now i could go in and have absolute essentials!! one of which is ribena...no nasty hospital water for me.

ps thanks phlossie for answering monitorquery x

deardear · 17/11/2011 21:36

oh god the hospital bag! I am so disorganised! I havent even thought about taht. I ought to think about buying some newborn sleepsuits etc and some stuff for me. keep looking at maternity bras on ebay but havent got round to measuring myself yet so i can order some!

babycarmen · 17/11/2011 22:13

Ive started my hospital bag because when i was in for 2 nights with my SPD i had to ask DP to bring me stuff in... lets just say that was a disaster!! So i put the essentials in a bag that he can just grab if need be. Although all i have so far is some clean underwear, pjs, hairbrush, shampoo, couple of sanitary pads, breast pads and slippers. Still need a face cloth, toothbrush, a nightie, juice, snacks, stuff i'll want for labour etc etc. Ive got a bag for me and a bag for baby and im going to do an 'overflow bag' with extra underwear/clothes for me and baby/nappies incase were in longer then expected to keep in the car, just because i like to be extra organised Blush
I still need to get myself sorted with maternity bras too!

QueenFee · 17/11/2011 23:06

Should I pack my hospital bag?
I had planned that for about 36 weeks :o

diedandgonetodevon · 17/11/2011 23:26

Hospital bag?!? [panic] I left it really late last time and I bet I'll do the same this time. I have bought hardly anything yet so I have some catching up to do.

I am definitely feeling the 'hoof in the foof's so much so there were traces of blood in my urine at my MW's appt yesterday. Baby certainly knows how to kick and bump is throwing all sorts of crazy shapes this evening.

QueenFee · 17/11/2011 23:43

I have just realised that all my shock faces : o come up as :o : D on here! Sorry if thats confused everyone!

notcitrus · 18/11/2011 09:35

I think my hospital bag is bottle of water, malk loaf and bananas, spare pants and t-shirt. And my own stash of painkillers in case they fail to get them prescribed properly like last time).
And some clothes for baby. And mobile phone and charger!

I actually went home in the same clothes I'd arrived in 3 days earlier, having only worn them for an hour to get to hospital and then thrown the t-shirt back on just before my dad came in. Hoping this time to drop and run, as it were. :)

I'm working from home and not feeling great and really a bit sorry for myself. At least it's the weekend tomorrow.

EsmeWeatherwax · 18/11/2011 09:51

Haven't started my hospital bag yet either, but am definitely leaving out a going home outfit for me this time, last twice I left it to dh and went home looking like Wurzel Gummidge with a hangover!

Is anybody else getting really breathless yet? I never have been before, because I'm 6 ft tall, but really bad this time. This baby is going to be a monster!

PamBeesly · 18/11/2011 13:44

Hello all, I also haven't packed a bag yet....in my maternity book it advices to pack it at 30 weeks! I want to wash all his little clothes first though, baby grows and vests. I've bought maternity pads and face wipes, have a botttle of shampoo and two dark coloured bath towels for me and 2 white towels for the baby. My bag is more likely to be a suitcase or gym bag! I'll just slide it under the bed.
I was at my GP for check up today (In Ireland we see thw GP not MW) eveything was fine, she said the pains in pelvis was ligaments softening, ditto about the rib pain. I asked her about the glucose test and she took bloods to asses if I needed to have it done at the hospital. I also got the flu jab. Has anyone else had it? I'm having a day off on the couch, ahh! I love these days I had best make the most of them

26 weeks today :)

Kayano · 18/11/2011 14:33

I've got images of Pam not packing her bag at 29+6 out of principle now lol.

I am bag less too! Not a clue! All I have are some new pjs and a pair of slippers Confused

woowa · 18/11/2011 14:36

pam, i had the flu jab last week, hasn't had any effect on me at all, for which I am grateful!

Sorry to panic people about the hospital bag! Mine is just an mini emergency pre-eclampsia one, just in case baby arrives before xmas. I haven't got any baby clothes in it because they would be too big! Last time i had FAR too much stuff with me which was completely unnecessary!! this time I will take less...

dear dear and babycarmen, don't get your maternity bras til 37 weeks. MEasure then because you're likely to be bigger then. I can't find my pregnancy or nursing bras from last time - and i only stopped bf-ing in march this year. I need to have a right good hunt in the loft because i thought i'd put them with the baby clothes but they are nowhere to be seen. Hoping to be the same size as last time.

Right, on with the resting...

woowa · 18/11/2011 14:45

I bled a LOT after DD's birth - i know we all bleed a bit, but this was all over the bed. Thus I am not planning on wearing pjs this time!! I've bought a black (doesn't show blood!) bf-ing nighty to wear in hospital! Hoping it'll be different this time (less blood!)

EsmeWeatherwax · 18/11/2011 16:10

Woowa, that was the best bit of advice I ever got from a woman in my work, black pj's and black slippers!

Crazybit · 18/11/2011 17:35

Hello everyone.

Sorry, wont be doing personals as rushing as usual...got dps nan and partner coming, really bad timing as I am not feeling very happy today. Up lots in the night, dd2 keeps wetting the bed again so loads of washing, then I find that dd1 has got pen all over the freshly washed bedding for dps nan this morning. i've got nowhere to dry the washing so it's really getting me down. Plus I think I'm getting spd or at the very least sciatica, as I am struggling to walk, it's so deliberating.

Re hospital bag, I'm nowhere near getting one ready. Bought a pair of slippers a few months ago..

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend if I don't get on before next week :)

phlossie · 18/11/2011 18:47

I hadn't given the hospital bag any thought. From experience, I must remember 1. How much the fanjo leaks after, 2. How boiling hot the hospital is. 4. How gross the floors are - slippers/flipflops a must.

The best thing I packed last time was earplugs! I was so sleep deprived I hallucinated - the midwife took my dd away for 3 hours, and I put in the earplugs and slept. It was the best sleep I've ever had.

I'm hoping not to need the bag anyway if the home birth goes to plan!

My bub's very active too! And I have physio referral, Chiropractor appointment, belly bras, support pillows and a pregnancy ball ordered to help my back!

hermionejgranger · 18/11/2011 20:18

aaargh hospital bag! hadn't even thought about it! phlossie what's a belly bra?

i'm watching children in need this evening because dh has gone out on the lash - and have the tissues ready for the bits where they show you where your money goes (weep, sniffle, oh those poor children etc...ruddy hormones!).

brain is very soupy today so apologies for lack of personals...

got GTT appointment through today - 2 december at 9am.

might have a bath and an early night this evening - judging by my lack of inspiration and lack of sensible post content i'm more tired than i thought i was. i'm even not doing the capital letters - sorry ladies!

27 weeks today :)

woowa · 18/11/2011 20:32

oh yes - BOILING HOT HOSPITALS!! I took a lovely thick new dressing gown to cover me up and it remained in the bag, which meant i was bf-ing just sitting in a bra in a public place. MWs kept opening up my curtains when I closed them WHY?! They did let me shut them during the weekly tour of the wards by expectant mums though, i didn't want to be gawked at in the way i'd gawked at the new mums a few weeks earlier.

Watching telly while making visual aids for youth group on sunday...aching all over, would rather be in bed but doing it now makes life less stressful tomorrow and sunday...

29+3

Kayano · 18/11/2011 20:57

Woowa, when do these 'expectant mums' get these
Tours and where do I sign up?lol

I hate not knowing where I am going or where I will be BlushConfused

woowa · 18/11/2011 21:34

kayano, hopefully your MW will tell you - mine had them weekly on thursday evenings, you had to book on and there was a different one dpepending whether you were low or high risk. Ask your MW, I was really glad I had gone and found out exactly where i had to go and what the rooms looked like etc, it felt familiar then when i finally went in. Maybe if they don't do official tours they'd let you have a quick look round? It's DEFINITELY worth knowing the EXACT place you have to go when you're in labour, even if you don't ever see the next stage! Totally understand you - i check out loads of places in advance if i know i'll have to go there for something important one day.

Emz33 · 18/11/2011 23:38

Evening all. Esme I'm getting really breathless too. Is that normal? Still have 13 weeks to go so starting to dread what I'll be like in a month or so!

Xavielli · 19/11/2011 02:34

Glad I'm not the only one who needs to have the odd night on the sofa. Love having the tv to distract me when I wake up, strangely because I'm not constantly thinking about not being asleep I drift off quicker. Chose tonight as did a bit much today and feel like I've been kicked in the bits. DP has been out tonight too so will be snoring like a piggy!

I haven't thought of my hospital bag yet, one bit of advice I will give though is that when you start packing, finish packing at the same time! With my first I started putting things in around 35 weeks, ds arrived early at 36 weeks and I'd not put any nappies in! So make sure you've atleast got a bit of everything you will need.

I seem to have a bottom sticking out right under where my stomach is tonight. Definitely not hard enough to be a head!
