Aww I haven't heard babbies heartbeat since 16 weeks. Should hear it next week at my 28 week appointment :)

My sickness has come back with the heartbirn. I dont think I have been eating properly since it started which is probably something to do with it.

QueenFee · 16/11/2011 20:48

Ha babies not babbies! Anyone would think I came from the black country (oh yeah I did!)

melliebobs · 16/11/2011 20:56

sugar80 !!!!!! that's the pram I want but when I looked about 4 week ago all the stockists said it wasn't out yet! Kept checking icandy site n all it says 'coming soon' Is it out is it out?!?!?! Excited!!!!!

OddEyes · 16/11/2011 21:57

Hey all, managed to make it back and catch up a wee bit. Think I was last seen here in September.
My news:
-we think we on pink team. Have 28, 32 and 36 wk scans to make sure though!
-Itching all over too, babycarmen, had with ds and ds but not as early as this not sure going to survive. Obstetric cholostasis ruled out again.
-Fell down flight of stairs at work. Am ok, still rather bruised, but shocked baby, she didn't move for 3hrs and I had painful tightenings-arghh! All checked out and well though.

  • Starting mat leave on 20th Jan, which means 18 working days left. I intend to go back in Sept but had forgotten I could say last day of school in July and get summer hols on full pay, may reconsider. is that cheeky?
-lots of kicks, hiccups and baby's favourite and rather freaky long movements all the way up side of womb, can see the movement from the outside. Anyways to bed, night all. 26+6

Hi ladiessss, my aren't we chatty. so glad to see that others are getting the 'pissed off with others' feeling. Just people in general are annoying me lately. The town we live in is full of old people, and they all drive the wrong way down the one way system in a car park..well it's not just old people, but middle aged too, now I teach my dc to walk towards oncoming traffic but when dicks like that do what they want, it stops the kids being safe doesn't it grr.

Hermione-sorry about your work mte, I would have started yawning or gone for a loo break!

Littlemonkey-Did anyone fall foul of your wrathj?
I had neutral feedback left on ebay for a brand new bed guard, she hadn't even contacted me. I sent her a very pissed off emaail for her to reply apologising as she had not realised that it affected my ebay feedbackHmm Anyway, i ended up feeling a bit bad for ranting at her but sorted it out in the end.

dd1 (11) had her friend over for the night as it's inset day tomorrow, I hear a knocking at the door around 9:30, theres the girls mum, really upset, she's not heard from her daughter since she left for school thins morning, naughty girly hadn't let her mum know our address or anything! So, she's been taken home. Poor woman, i felt awful, I should have checked to make sure she had contacted her mum, just assumed she had.

Anyway, re prams. I got a Babystyle Oyster off Ebay, washed it, wrapped it up and put it in the garage. I'm not superstitious and it's used so doesn't count as one that shouldn't be kept in the babies home.

Re hot baths, I think advice is conflicting. I read one advice saying that your body will adapt to whatever temperature it is and stop the baby from being affected.

Had pysio today for carpal tunnel, I've been referred for splints but need to go to a different hospital as my local one is not allowed to issue them due to funding [mm] Oh and the woman made me yelp by bending my wrist then pressing on it, it still hurts now :(

Anyway, I'd better get to bed, tomorrow I am off to meet two lovely ladies I met a while ago through here locally, they're both pregnant too so should be fun with lots of huffing and puffing and cake Grin

woowa · 16/11/2011 22:36

evening all, had scan number 7 this afternoon and consultant appointment. Baby all fine, doc really happy with it all, reckons they'll do a sweep at 38 weeks and hope that's enough to bring baby on. i'm hoping to go into labout naturally at 37 weeks to avoid any intervention!! She also said they have some monitors for use in labour which are wireless, so although i'd have a strap round my belly i'd still be able to move freely about the room and get on all-4s etc - has anyone any experience of these - do they really work? Am concerned about being strapped down and not being able to get baby out because of position. Anyway, glad all's well with the baby - they reckon it weighs 3lb 3oz - sounds huge for this stage! Only 3 or 4 more scans to go :)

Just ordered a load of nappy liners for baby to go with totsbots nappies we already have, we're getting READY!!!

Oooh chilli!! We made a pork and beef one once, with chunks instead of mince... Was divine! But chicken sounds a good way to go too!!

Tonight, I am on the sofa with pillows, cushions and a double sleeping bag Grin my choice!! I had such a shit night last night, and the sofa props me up nicely... And I get TV all night Grin

Currently got king arthur on in the background, while writing all my lists off my phone onto a pad!! Once they're done, I can change over properly from my blackberry to my new shiny samsung galaxy S2!!

Anyway... Gonna get comfified and cosy now Smile goodnight folks xx

Sugar80 · 17/11/2011 07:57

Melibobs John Lewis are getting them in in the 2nd week of December. However, they don't know how long the waiting list will be by then, so advised us to pre order. They don't take any money, and if we decide we don't want it we can cancel, even after it's in. Should be getting delivered in January, yay!!

Yes, woowa, I had a wireless monitor when in labour with DS. I was very insistant, and the midwives were wonderful - they found it and had to fiddle with it for a bit to get it to work, but I wore it for 12 hours and even had a bath with it on. It meant I could stay active and delivered in a crouching position - I couldn't bear being on my back.

Well, what a night! Really, really the worst night ever! My back went in the evening - I was sitting on the floor and twisted round and it spasmed. I've get this from time to time, and the pain IS worse than childbirth! I went to bed, woke at 3ish for a pee and could not move.

My DH had to lever me out of bed or I'd have peed myself. He then ran me a bath and gave me a paracetamol (can't have the usual anti-inflammatories). I was in the bath for an hour or so, in which time I started to puke (over the side of the bath into the bin), the effort of which gave me painful tightenings and made me panic that I was in early labour! And made my back ten times worse.

Luckily, I have an awesome DH. He calmed me down and made me a nest out of cushions on the sofa. I ended up sleeping sitting up on the sofa! He's done the school run and I'm staying here all day. Have phoned in sick for work, and will be contacting the midwife later.

hippysair · 17/11/2011 10:05

Dipped my toe in here the other day, but come back to say a proper hello to you all, waves joined mumsnet, a week or so ago.
Only just finished reading all the posts on this thread, feel like I've got to 'know' you all already! offers chocs round
Better tell you something about me then, 28+2 with 2nd pg, sex unknown, have a 6year old DS.
Pg so far has been pretty awful, i don't cope that well with being pg, low bp, terrible sickness, acid aches and pains, water infections and just generally miserableness! but on a positive note, went to mw apt yest and my bp is higher than it usually is and urine test, was normal (for bluddy once!) and starting to actually (reaches for the wooden table) enjoy being pg!
Bubzy is a very active one and i hardly get any peace! Being pg 1st time round i used to worry that DS was ok, bc he wouldn't move for hours and i used to have to drink cold drinks all the time to try to get him to shift, lazy bugger!
Know what you mean about having 'trapdoor' kicks, or as i call them 'A hoof in the foof' or 'a duff in the muff'. Didn't think i would be able to feel these one's though, as i have a low lying placenta, and have got to go back for a scan on 29th Dec to see if it has moved or not, and i'm praying it has bc i really don't want a cs, the recovery time after, really puts a dampener on it for me.
So, hope u are all having a good day, sun is shining and it's my day off work! makes a change! better get some other stuff done now then, take care all.

phlossie · 17/11/2011 10:20

Welcome hippysair. 'Hoof in the foof' - I like it! My 2nd was v active and this one lazier like my first - maybe it's a boy too!

I also meant to say 'hi' and nice to see you to fundus and oddeyes.

Hold on two ticks and I'll find our stats thread so you can update yourselves on that.

littlemonkeybix · 17/11/2011 10:29

Aww Phlossie how poo!! Sad Good on DH for helping you out so much!!

I was on the couch last night, and had our double sleeping bag, 1000 cushions and the TV... was BLISS! My headaches of yesterday have gone, and I only had a small twinge in my back as opposed to rubbish back AND hips!!

I didn't go to my aquanatal last night... had a rest instead! TOnight is Body Balance though... so I will still get some excersize. Thinking I will start swimming again too. I stopped during 1st trimester purely because I was so bloody tired... I had no energy to get dressed again afterward! So it's not unusual for me, I've just had abreak from it.

hippysair · 17/11/2011 10:31

Fank yew muchly Phlossie! have added myself on there now. Sorry such a newb around here! How u feeling now? after your episode last night? any better? put your feet up and enjoy having a rest! Biscuit Brew

louby86 · 17/11/2011 12:39

Hello! Just realised I've been neglecting this page a bit in favour of Facebook!

Seem to have woken up in a better mood today but I've been sick today, think it's to do with the stupid heartburn I've been getting all night! Can't believe I've got 13 weeks left, it's gone so fast! I know it sounds horrible though but I'm looking forward to buying really nice clothes again and wearing huge heels without backache!

Washed all the neutral coloured baby clothes to iron and put away in the nursery, just waiting on our 3d/4d (don't know what it is!) scan tomorrow to confirm I'm 100% on team pink before the tags come off those clothes!

phlossie · 17/11/2011 12:46

I think that's why I was sick, Louby - though mine's more reflux than heartburn and I'd had spicy food...

babycarmen · 17/11/2011 12:53

Phlossie how awful :( glad you have your DH to look after you, hope the pain eases off soon!

Welcome to all the new people! Lovely to still have people joining us :) Brew

DD has decided she is staying at grannys for another night (eee hold on BH......ok) i grumbled a bit about her missing nursery but my mum has a week off work and DD is her only grandchild = spoilt rotten! No doubt i will get attitude when she ever returns after getting her own way for a few days! The house is so quiet without her but i must admit im enjoying the peace, getting some major cleaning/sorting out done and going to go through all my m&b and PP magazines and cut and stick some weaning recipes etc into my book. I love cooking and trying new things but im rubbish at coming up with things from the top of my head!

I got 2 fitted moses basket sheets & 3 cellular blankets for £2.20 off ebay, didnt have to pay postage because they live close and dropped them off for me! Bargain Grin I was just going to use a pillowcase but thought i may aswell get them at that price!

Im going to make soup today, really must start eating healthier (less chocolate)!!

PASSED MY EXAM!!!

Only just, but a pass is a pass... YAY!

PamBeesly · 17/11/2011 16:20

Yeah monkey well done!

PamBeesly · 17/11/2011 16:26

Phlossie hope you are feeling a bit better now, how awful it must have been. Pregnancy is tough, I also feel aches pains, have difficulty sleeping for any length of time but yours sounded really horrible. The throwing up too on top of it.

Hi hippysair

Squiglett I'm in awe of you, you lost 10stone on WW? Thats phenomonal well done to you, you must have amazing willpower!

I'm feeling every bit of my pregnancy recently, achy bits everywhere, tired and hungry! For those of you on facebook that put up pictures of your children, they are all so cute!

Squiglettsmummy2bx · 17/11/2011 17:01

Well done monkey Grin

Yes Pam I went from 22 stone 10.5lb to 12 stone 4lb. It was hard but I felt really motivated. I hav put on tons while pregnant & won't weigh myself at the moment Blush but will be back at class & will shift it all again Grin (if you hunt through my Facebook photos their are my fat & thin pics, lol)
Was fab to see old friends there & 1 had bought baby a hat & another has loads of baby stuff from her grandchildren which her daughter has said she can give away so I'm going to go & see her next week with my old WW leader as she drives to pick it up! Have had a shitty time with friends so was nice to see some friendly faces & I have promised to pop in more often.
Back killing me today & carrying shopping & scrubbing kitchen floor on hands & knees hasn't really helped Sad, nice bath & early night tonight. Sorry to all those feeling rough, I'm so glad my heartburn & sickness have eased off x

QueenFee · 17/11/2011 17:01

Well done monkey!

I'm trying to keep away from here as all I seem to do is whinge

27 weeks and still grumpy!

PamBeesly · 17/11/2011 17:14

Squiglett Good on you, you must feel such a difference in your life now, I lost four stone for my wedding but found it terribly hard and gained two back within a year! I've also put 2 on since being pregnant already at 26 weeks but I'm not sad about the pregnancy gain only the 2 before getting pregnant. Your loss is inspirational though. I looked at your pics, you were always pretty! Your kids are real cute too
