rant away hermione, that;s what we're here for. I think many people just don't know, when they're talking, how it comes across to other people!

DD has had 3 canines pop through in the last 3 days - NOW we know why she's been so miserable- i was expecting one of them but not 3 at once. Glad there's only one more of those to go, then the 4 back molars, poor little thing. And poor parents getting no sleep either.

Aquanatal has moved day so i could finally go this morning! Yippeeee, loved it! same MW running it as when I went pg with DD 2 years ago, she recognised me, and it was great to be back - SO glad to be doing some exercise.

WHat is a GTT?

On heartburn, i bought gaviscon last time, and had one swig, and never again. I prefered having heartburn to the taste of gaviscon!! I really hate it. Interestingly though, the heartburn started today too, so i am remembering how yuck it is.

mum and I sorted through clothes in loft today, i can't believe how SMALL babies are!!! DD is HUGE now, it's going to be a real shock to the system to have a small floppy screaming thing around again - eek! got baby bath and baby bouncer chair down too. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!

29 weeks today - thats 11 weeks to go!!

Kayano · 15/11/2011 21:46

Sad thing is hermione I work in it support and I don't have a bloody clue on that stuff lol. Best broadband and graphics cards, just goes over my head. Lol

QueenFee · 15/11/2011 22:56

Hermoine, some irratating people just think they know it all grr. She probably thought she was helping.

Hot tubs. I have been in friends hot tubs whilst pregnant, but then I am very aware of my temperature and they turned it down for me too :)

I am now totally convinced this is a girl because the heartburn owwww is much worse with this one like it was with dd. Barely got it with ds1&2. I also had worse ms with dd and this one. I wonder if there is a link between ms and heartburn.

DH has been away at his mothers sorting out computer stuff for her. I am now knackard as having to walk the school run and everything else (which is a mile twice a day) and to top it off ds1 has come down with a sick bug so loads of washing etc and a clingy toddler. I hope I don't come down with it as feel crap enough as it is.

26+6 and grumpy.

Xavielli · 15/11/2011 23:57

HJG - I admire your patience! I can't deal with people like that at the best of times and when preg they would definitely have been told to shut up!

Re:steam - everytime DP buys a new game now I have to listen to roughly 30 mins of him ranting about how it is the devils own arsehole. I miss playing computer games, don't get time at the moment.

littlemonkeybix · 16/11/2011 08:38

What's with all the "helpful people" at the moment?! They just can't see what annoying bumoles they are! I do wonder whether I get to that point sometimes... But I think I'm aware... I hope!! Hmm

Well, awful night's sleep... I was cranky so DP got an earful... THEN he hogged the bed, the covers, and "needed" the window open. I was fecking freezing, perched on the edge of the bed with sore hips and back Sad

Several harumphs later, he moved over a bit, and offered up some covers, but the damage was done. I am now with sore back and hip (just the left) but have MW appointment so these thinhs can be mentioned.

Still feeling proper cranky today... Wonder who'll fall in my wrath's path!?

Hope we've all got a good day ahead of us x

Xavielli · 16/11/2011 10:17

Today I have a hunger only yum yums can sate.

28 weeks!

m1nn1em0u5e · 16/11/2011 12:21

Officially 30 weeks today! Started to clear the little bedroom ready for painting!..Eek its all getting close now! Just been through the bags of things I have been buying over the last few months, think I may have gone a bit overboard!....Best get back to it!....Oh how I love stripping borders & sorting through boxes of stuff that we really dont need but cant seem to bring myself to throw away!....

babycarmen · 16/11/2011 12:22

Well i finally got to sleep at about midnight last night after several hours of itching like crazy over my entire body (which seems to have gone this morning btw) and hours of kicks, wiggles and lord knows what else by bump, she loves to give me a good kick-in as soon as i get comfy in bed! Im sure my tummy is black and blue inside. It felt like she was lying transverse last night, but im not sure, she moves so much its hard to keep track!
Then i got woken up at about 4am with heartburn from hell! Probably because of all the chocolate and pepsi i threw down my neck last night.

Does anyone else get complete strangers asking when youre due? Someone stopped me for directions yesterday and asked when i was due before they said anything else! Along with half a dozen other people i bumped into!

28+2

PamBeesly · 16/11/2011 15:25

Hello lovelies, just to let you all know that maternity wear is half price in New Look (in the Irish stores since yesterday anyway) I'm guessing if its on offer here it will be on offer in the UK, I got a lovely warm coat for the winter down from ?60 to ?30!

I might have started getting heartburn (I've never had it before) what this pain felt like was an annoying pain in the top right part of my chest, I had a yoghurt and it went. Hopefully it will always be that simple.

This morning before I woke up I could feel the baby very obviously at the front of my tummy, it was lovely :) Its my first time feeling him like this, does anyone else ever feel this?

I get customers in my shop asking me when I'm due babycarmen and others offering me lots of 'advice' Grin two men were even commenting on what I should call him....

25+5

melliebobs · 16/11/2011 15:36

Hi gang. Just marking my place. Feel like I've gone back 20 weeks Sad nausea, whenever I eat I have really bad stomach ache, when i dont eat i have stomach ache, i really cant win. Im
Knackered and ive not been able to sleep. Only difference is I now have a lil wriggly wriggler that is very keen to make themselves known. A few more hours of this kinda hyper activity it's gonna get told to give it a bloody rest!!!!

phlossie · 16/11/2011 16:41

I have acid reflux, especially if I eat food like oranges and tomatos. Horrible.

I can't believe you're 30 weeks, minnie! You're the furthest ahead I think - I wonder if you'll be first to pop!

I don't get that feeling pam because I have my placenta at the front. I also get most of my wriggling very deep inside. I can still feel it, and sometimes it makes me jump, but it's around my 'trapdoor' as someone put it.

ooh, just went to the paint trade centre to buy paint for our room, and the LOVELY man in there gave ds a 'real' football and dd a beautiful Dulux puppy toy! And he gave me a discount! I'm not sure why he did it, but it absolutely made my week!

I've been getting lots of comments on how big I am. I even had to get out the photo of me 3 days overdue with dd (on my profile if you want a laugh) to show my SMIL what big really looks like! Also getting the 'you're carrying out front/all round so it's a boy/girl' comments.

26+3

phlossie · 16/11/2011 16:42

I mean 27+3. I keep losing count!

littlemonkeybix · 16/11/2011 16:45

Sorry for the sickies Sad hope it clears soon.

I had my 25wk appointment...all is well. AND lovely MW let me record pip's heartbeat for DP Grin

He doesn't know yet!! Told him I've got a surprise for him when he gets home Grin

Currently sat on couch after cheese on toast, watching Southland, and awaiting DP with a big smile on!! Silly me, getting v excited!

My pal managed to be bloody efficient again today... Properly had to hold my tongue!! Anyway, nearly done with!! MATB1 form in my bag!!

deardear · 16/11/2011 17:11

monkey arent work people assholes when it comes to stuff. i had the opposite problem with my work - no info from them so i whacked in my MATB1 and told them what i was taking - the day they sent me a letter telling me what i was entitled to!

my heartburn is horrible atm - i also have stomach ulcer problems and on omeprazole for that and still get it!

babycarmen · 16/11/2011 17:20

Pam baby is very much at the front all the time! I keep getting little balls of feet/knees/something popping out so i sit and stroke them :) Makes me jump sometimes though.

Oh forgot to say yesterday re: bloodtests; my FBC and the others were all fine but theres 'a problem' with my ferratin Confused so i have to get the test repeated when i get my routine bloods done with mw on Monday. I have no idea what this means but they waffled on something about my liver and iron. Im staying away from Dr Google anyway! Im sure its nothing bad. And im still waiting on the ultrasound appt.

The itching has returned on my arms, legs and belly grrrr! Its not unbearable though just annoying.

PamBeesly · 16/11/2011 17:24

babycarmen I think ferratin is to do with your iron levels, Spatone water is gentler to take than iron tablets, if you are prescribed them, some people get constipated from iron tablets.
Maybe its PUPPP you have? Do you see any red hive like spots or is there no rash? I would mention it to MW so they can rule out Obstetric Cholestasis.

notcitrus · 16/11/2011 17:25

So far no heartburn here - but I'm supposed to be taking 60mg codiene up to 4x daily, and two out of four times when I take it before bed (only time I do as I'm too stoned otherwise) I've spent the next day puking my guts out or just feeling like I am.
So yesterday was my second day back working and I did very little. At least management are being great.

Haven't had any stupid comments yet apart from 'wow-you suddenly look pregnant!' which is perfectly true. Though did laugh on the weekend when I met a guy I hadn't seen since I was 28 weeks with ds, over 3 years ago. I mentioned that this time he wouldn't have to push me in a wheelchair as I was just about walking. He suddenly looked very relieved and confessed he'd been thinking 'aren't you supposed to lose the bump after giving birth, and here NC looks the same size as when I last saw her'!

I think we've agreed a middle name for dc2 as our least-worst option is growing on us. Have also been given a Moby wrap and some other baby stuff so I don't need any newborn-size clothes now, and have my TENS back for dealing with late-preg backache. Though as this pregnancy is so different to my last one, I'll probably have some different aches that TENS doesn't help with...

FundusCrispyPancake · 16/11/2011 17:49

Gosh, I have been away for ages. Several threads have filled up and gone since I was here last.

Hope everyone is OK, I can't be arsed to read all the other stuff today so will just dive in and hope for the best.....

Acid reflux here also. Bleurgh. Agree with Melliebobs, it's a bit like a return to the first trimester (that's why I'm back in bed with MN feeling sick after several weeks of freedom Grin)

26+something I think (am I the only one who keeps losing track? Baby-brain strikes again Hmm)

Sugar80 · 16/11/2011 18:17

We have ordered the pram!! iCandy Peach jogger with carrycot, plus car seat adapters, plus maxi cosi denim car seat. I could have bought a car for the amount it all comes to...!!!

Kayano · 16/11/2011 18:24

I have an appointment one day next week at 10am and then another one at 3pm

My new team leader just sorted it with hr so I can have the full day off! I'm so chuffed. Just need to cover a couple of lunchtimes and I have the day off. I also am getting all my overtime back the afternoon before so I effectively have a day and a half off.

I'm seriously sending my work and hr a bunch of flowers and cards when I go because I am terrified, have had a lot of extra appointments and they have just made everything so pleasant and amazing for me Grin

And this in a male dominated job. I can't wait to go back lol. I'm so sad

littlemonkeybix · 16/11/2011 20:12

kayano could it be because it's male dominated... They're all a bit scared of the hormones (heehee)

Glad they've accommodated you though, what a pressure off you!!

My work's been great, except the HR rep on site... Who is one of my good friends... She's been the royal PITA! And I know she's trying to help, but its fucking me RIGHT OFF!

Welcome back to those that have been AWOL for some time!! We're chatty aren't we!! Ha!

DP was made up with the heartbeat Grin I messaged him in work with it (I was impatient) and he played it for one of his bosses (the lady) who got all excited and said she had goosebumps Grin

hermionejgranger · 16/11/2011 20:39

monkey that's ace about the heartbeat - I'd not thought about doing that. I'll have to write it on my list for the next appointment :)

phlossie your 37 week bump is fab - I'm feeling huuuuuuge today and am thinking of fixing a neck chain to a coaster so I can use my bump as a table for my drinks.

My work has been pretty cool as well. HR are a bit funny about original documents as opposed to verified scanned copies that I can send via email, and they never let me know when they have received anything. But my line manager is fantastic. He's been very supportive and asks after me - and is quite happy for me to take time off as sick days or the medical antenatal appointments etc - I've had no hassle at all.

Thanks everyone for the support about my "vent". Feel a lot better about things today.

Strangely have little else to say for myself this evening. I'm quite tired and nicely full after a deeeeelicious crispy chicken fajita dinner - the spicy food is really doing it for me and for Bert at the moment!

26+5...time's ticking on!!

hermionejgranger · 16/11/2011 20:39

oh maaaaan phlossie I meant your overdue photo - sorry!

deardear · 16/11/2011 20:43

i am trying new tactics tonight. usually have a cup of tea about 945pm when we got to bed. then up peeing for an hour or so as soon as i lie down so having it now and hoping i get rid of the piss take once and for all!

DH came home from work early today. he is feeling it a bit with his shingles and made the decision himself so he must feel knackered! he does 12 hour shifts and is a team leader so doesnt get much mental break either.

just had lovely sweet and sour chicken homemade. aldi sauce is yummy! then managed to get a huge rhubarb pie last night from morrisons for 59p so bought some ready made custard from aldi as well and had a huge piece of that drowned in custard. yum yum.

has anyone ever made a chicken chilli? they had a chilli cook off in the pub last night where i work and a chicken one won it. not heard of a chicken one before and quite fancy a go with taht.

Kayano · 16/11/2011 20:47
