iwish i dont know about the medicine. there is something you can give as well as calpol but i dont know and dont want to tell you wrong. i would put a post in health and see what others say

iwish ahh i feel so sorry for poor joshua, and you!! its horrible to see them poorly. there sint really anything you can do, people say give them planty of fluids but if they wont drink it what are you supposed to do!

violets still mardy today but think its just her cold rather than upset belly. she was fine in the night. she was unsettled till about 8 then didnt hear a peep till 7.30ish.

is there any snow round your way anyone? its fluttered about here but its only a dusting

Thanks liz. I checked it out with my mum and it's ok. Just given him the nurofen and am feeding him then putting him to bed.
Is violet crying a lot? Joshua has been crying loads and wants me all the time. Had to take him in to the bathroom when I showered today as he screamed at nick!

Im almoast in tears feeling sorry for Joshie. The coughing and crying has made his throat sore and it sounds painful when he cries. Hope the combination of drugs help him sleep tonight, I'm shattered and so is he.

And we have LOADS of snow!! It's been snowing since 11:30 ish and still going. I am officially snowed in (unless I walk lol) my car is crap in the snow and I can't get off the drive.

wow iwish that does sound like alot of snow!!! we never get much here which is good, but lulu is desperate for it! i bougth her a sledge today, hoping to never hve to use it! but it is still coming down, its only tiny flakes and looks really wet, but still snow.

poor joshie heres hoping he sleeps better and hope hes better soon, it cant last much longer can it.

my washing machine broke today, it wont spin so its got a load of washing in it with all the water in there too. going to get a new washer tomorrow and am putting off doing anything with the wet washing as yet! and my airer broke too. the leg snapped off it. i do have a spare but its tiny. i am thinking of buying one of these www.lakeland.co.uk/21736/Dry-Soon-Heated-Tower-Airer

Bloody hell with the snow iwish we haven't had so much as a flake! Had a bit last week, started to settle and lasted a couple if hours.
Hope Joshua settles soon, bet you are pulling your hair out at what to do.

Well, Euan in bed for 6.45, and drank his whole bottle. Have spun his bedding in his cot around as the window is at the foot on the right. I've got that blackout stuff on the windows but still light comes around the edge slightly so have spun him round upside down so he's not 'facing' the window just in case these lighter mornings start waking him.

Never seen one of those before liz but it looks good. It's rubbish that your washing machine broke, I wouldn't know where to start looking at washers. Ours was left by the guy who we bought the house off. Along with everything else including tvs, dvd players, sofas etc

Just been in the snow since Joshie is in bed and we have at least 5 inches and it's coming down heavy. I love the snow, I could walk around in it all day, not good with a sick baby tho.

We are supposed to go to church tomorrow but it's a 20 min walk in snow. Do you think it's a bad idea since Joshua is sick?

Oh re the washer, ours did that and it was the filter blocked so might be worth a look. At the bottom there should be a panel in the front, behind that is a circle, which is the filter, turn it and unblock it. You'll have to put a tray under it to catch the water though so do it slowly!!

Lol at turning him round klou. We have black out blinds but we are going to get the curtains lined with blackout stuff too.
I hope he settles too. Going to take him to the docs on Monday to check his chest and ears etc are to too.

Ours wouldn't spin, but think the computer in it knew not to cos the water couldn't come out. but another time the belt had slipped and it was blocked and Rob just opened the back and put the belt back on :)

Yey lulu might get to play in the snow tomorrow then liz. Did you see my pic I put on FB? Was v dark but you can see the snow piled on my bin and almost up to the top of my plant pot which is quite big and square.

Ours did something strange about a year ago klou and nick did something with that little door at the bottom. He didn't realise water would go everywhere lol!!

i doubt it iwish shes about to go to bed, but she just went out to make 1 snowball on the back step, she came runnning in saying ' i hate snow, i never want to see it ever again, can i have some hot chocolate' this coming from a girl who only drinks water! so i made her half a cup, she poked at it and said, 'i dont like hot chocolate'

Well, the turning Euan around didn't work lol! His heater came on at 5.10, which is now at the foot if his cot, used to be behind him, didn't realise it had a flaming light on the side when it was on, and he woke up! I've spun him back and put some black out liners on his curtains that I found for when it starts getting light. I knew we had some somewhere!!

Yeh Joshie slept airtime better. He was up at 12:00, 3:00, 5:15, 7:00 and finally 9:45! Couple of those times he had a feed and the rest he needed settling and bum changing as he did a big poo!
His poor throat sounds awful tho.

Euan got up at 8 still, but had to dummy him at 5.10 (how I found out about the light!), and again at 7. He's been flat out since 12.30, will to get him in a bit.
Just having a sit down as spent since 10.30 on my feet in the kitchen, but dinners all done :) Not had my breaky yet!!
Roast beef in the oven so can't wait for that. Might save a bit of dinner for the little fella tomorrow. He had a bit of mac cheese, but think he struggled a but with it even after I put it in the blender for a sec. Might need a bit more chopping up. Tasted nice though :)
Rob kept coming in the kitchen practically dribbling, think he was gutted it was all for Euan!!

afternoon ladies, glad you are all well.

we have had about 4 inches, lulu and chris made a snowman, but i havent played in it at all. i dont like getting freezing!

chris had a look at hte washer this morning, let all the water out, then broke whatever he was looking at with the screwdriver! so i had to go get a new one. got a beko one, its quite good! i hate learing about new appliances but have used it and seems to be ok

When you give him his dummy do you just literally walk in, put dummy in mouth and walk out or do you have to do shhhing etc?

How's violet liz? Is she still grumpy from her cold? Good that your new washer is ok too.

Just put Joshie to bed. He's had 6 poos today and lots of wet farts (sorry tmi) and his poor bum in red raw!! I've put sudocrem on but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I let him have a bit of time out of his nappy and he just poo'd all over the towel!! Poor thing is coughing loads so his throat is getting worse. :( And I'm getting it too :(

Yeah I just walk in and put his dummy in and give him his cuddley and he goes back off again. Didn't want his bottle again tonight, he was knackered and put him to bed at 6.45! 6.30 me thinks tomorrow!
Have you got any Burts Bees nappy cream iwish? It was in bounty pack in yellow tube, only thing that seems to work with Euan. He's had some dry skin on the side of his face for months too, and I've been putting that on and its gone! Fab stuff!

No we havnt got that klou. We got sudocrem and johnsons nappy cream. Sudocrem normally works but hadn't this time :(
Since you have been putting him to bed earlier does he wake earlier?
Going to have to walk to the docs tomorrow if I can get an appt for Joshie. Would normally take 30 mins but will take about 60 in the snow. Would love it if I could drive but got no chance!

I only put him to bed earlier last night so not sure yet cos the sodding light woke him lol!

Just got the proofs for the christening invitations and they are lovely. V v impressed. Only ordered them 2 hours ago!

stress to the docs how ill he is iwish you dont want him getting dehydrated from all this poohing, bless him, i bet his bum is sore i have got some bepanthen cream, that seems good, neither of mine had bad nappy rash so didnt really look into creams and this tube is left over from lulu, but it still calms redness.
if it gets REALLY badm aparently starch powder works like magic, you can only buy it over the itnernet. no idea where, but a friend tried it and was brill

klou hope he sleeps all night. we have blinds and blackout curtains. not had a problem so far. she ws in bed at 5.50 tonight as she hadnt been to sleep all day
