Oh LP please don't think you can't post on t'other fred - specially when you're all worried and need support

It's shit, and I've been there 3 times. If it's still brown you have hope lovely. Is it a steady flow or just spotting?

LauraPalmer · 15/11/2011 21:36

fank you, fank you MBoo -

it's a bit of both: some spotting (and seeing brown juice when I wipe) but also in the past few hours it feels sort of like a weepy flow (god, that sounds disgusting). It's all been brown but there was a little brown clot earlier, about an hour ago. What do you think?

LauraPalmer · 15/11/2011 21:38

I'm just feeling so sad - this is all bringing back the MC and I really don't want to go through that again

MadameBoo · 15/11/2011 21:41

With mine it's always been when it turned red I knew it was game over - but that's just me - some women bleed throughout their whole pregnancy don't they so it's impossible to say. Post a fred in pregnancy and ask for people to share experiences if that won't make you worse - people are generally quite sensitive when it comes to this I find. Hoping and hoping it stops and all will be well dear one.

InTheSunshine · 15/11/2011 21:41

LP just wanted to send you some good ESH vibes my love.

LauraPalmer · 15/11/2011 21:41

of course- now that I'm sobbing onto my keyboard and thinking all the worst is possible, I go to the toilet and there's no brown anything whatsoever. body tricks. mind fuck. makes me wanna scream and shout

MadameBoo · 15/11/2011 21:41
LauraPalmer · 15/11/2011 21:44

Thank you for the good ESH vibes, laydees. I am ever so grateful I found you lot.

Now I think I'm going to force myself to back away from the interweb and go curl up in front of the tv instead...Greg Wallace: here I come...

Truffkin · 15/11/2011 21:45

Laura there is no way of knowing what's happening so please try to give yourself a break. I know how much harder that is to do, but like WiseBoo says, some people do have bleeds that don't result in any badness. In fact lots of people. If no pain and blood is old, is likely to not be scary shiz.

Can I distract you by flashing my nips? They appear to be perma-erect at present so really quite a sight to behold

laura sending you lots of good vibes and hand holding. It is awful when you just don't know and you have to wait. Didn't the GP arrange a trip to the EPU for some scannage for you? If you can't get an early scan it is well worth going private for one. Stay away from Google in the meantime and stay away from horror stories. I've had brown goo with missed miscarriages and I've had brown goo AND a bit of red spotting with this pregnancy. In fact, I think I had more spotting this time than the times it didn't work out.

Truffkin · 16/11/2011 08:24

Ha, nothing doing with my cervix Kat more's the pity. I do have some stuff to do in the next few days so Friday afternoon / Saturday morning would be most convenient for laying Grin

Bugger winter wonderland starts this weekend in Hyde Park and if there is no baybee I'm hoping I can convince TGB that we need a wander down there. I loved it last year and can't wait to feel festive! Also, quite the nicest hit chocolate with Baileys I've tasted. If you're heading to Oxford Street for your Saturday shopping, I'm a fan of the few pubs just off Carnaby St for lunch and if you hang about for 10 mins you can always nick a seat even when it's busy. The Shakespeare or Clachan do decent pub grub and are just off the main drag so don't interfere with your retail therapy!

Right. Am off to drop my car off for final bodywork repairs before I get rid of it for good on Friday and have a good hours' jaunt back via public transport. I wonder if I might accidentally find myself at Brent Cross on the way back and if so, I wonder how much stuff might leap unaided into my shopping basket Well, I'll not be up for much Christmas shopping once the bab is here will I? Huh?

BarbiesBeaver · 16/11/2011 10:23

Laura I've had spotting with both MC's and MORE IMPORTANTLY with this pregnancy which I'm now at 34 ish weeks. I had brown spotting and some lumpy bits for about 2-3 weeks, some days more than others during this pregnancy. Each day you get through is a little victory at this stage. Don't fret about mentalling - try to distract yourself if you can but stressing doesn't harm baby or anything.

This article shows a medical study showing there is little correlation between spotting and miscarriage which I have found some comfort in during spotting episodes. And even if red bleeding/pain develops that doesn't mean game over - there are many causes of this - cervix irritation, etc.

Good luck and post as much as you need.

MadameBoo · 16/11/2011 11:07

Nice one Barbs

BarbiesBeaver · 16/11/2011 12:09

Oh FGS Boo now I've got dust in my eye at work. We are supposed to be bitter and twisted hard cases remember? Although I have resisted crying at most of the Christmas twee adverts so far - they are all trying waaaay too hard to force tears and are just horribly cheesey and puke inducing.

I did cry at the John Lewis ad. Then I read the mumsnet fred and h'd tfu :o

LauraPalmer · 16/11/2011 14:35

Hi all - thank you for the hand-holding. No spotting today so far and I moved my booking-in appointment up to Monday morning. Feeling a bit more confident.

Haven't seen these tear-inducing Xmas ads yet. Probably best I avoid these things at the moment.

Gotta go back to work now - would rather just curl up on the sofa...

KatAndKit · 16/11/2011 16:14

so glad to hear no spotting so far today. That is most excellent news. I have not seen this advert either as I tend to only watch plussed tv and I skip the ads.

LauraPalmer · 16/11/2011 17:52

Laydees, I'm so sorry for being so completely full of boring menkul-maddness, but...okay. I did 2 Tesco brand tests today - have never used this brand, but purchased them with my CBD over the weekend. Of course I couldn't just trust the CBD 'PREGNANT' (or the 3 other FR BFPs or the GPs BFP) and since I've been spotting again (got a bit more brownish liquid this afternoon), so I did these two Tesco's today - neither of which were FMU or particularly 'saved up' urine - and they are both ridiculously faint positives. Has anyone else had experience with Tesco brand tests being so faint? I'm panicking that I'm gradually losing my BFP.

Oh ffs, I'm such a fucking basket case. I know I need to just relax and take it all day by day, but I'm really having trouble doing this. I wasn't prepared to feel this crazy - I'm only now realising how mentally fucked up I am by that mc. I didn't realise how scarred and scared it left me.

What a shitty way to spend what should be happy, celebratory days.

Thank you for letting me hijack the fred to express all this.

KatAndKit · 16/11/2011 18:28

You are not selfish that is what the Fred is for. have answered over on BESH as I saw it there first.

Don't be silly, it is impossible to relax. Even if you didn't have the spotting mindfuck you would not be relaxed anyway so don't beat yourself up for worrying, it is totally to be expected.

LauraPalmer · 16/11/2011 19:21

Thank you kit - the GP dated me to what would figure 5+4 today, but I have a long cycle and based on my OPK I think I'm really only 4+6. Maybe not a huge difference but I think enough to matter regarding early scans? I think I might just need to calm down, take it easy over the weekend and BREATHE. I've got my booking in appointment at 9.00am on Monday and will promptly ask for an EPU referral if I'm still spotting (& menkulling).

The main thing is that all of the spotting has been brown, so I am hoping all is well.

Medee · 16/11/2011 20:30

Keeping everything crossed for you Laura.
