JB felt this baybee move this morning. :)

brownie I find if I'm really busy/concentrating on something then it might be a few hours and then I think "oooh, haven't felt him a while" - but if I then immediately lie down, expose myself (ooer) - and actually concentrate then I feel him. E.g., yesterday at about 7pm it occurred to me I'd not felt him in a few hours - I'm sure he'd been moving but when I'm not thinking about it unless it's really violent I don't notice - also have an anterior placenta which isn't helping*.

Back at the hossie today - bloody consultant. I am quite Angry that she didn't even comment on my weight! Am I not fat enough to be worthy of a patronising talk? Wink She was lovely and didn't mention my weight - wtf? The other week it was all the other one could think of. Anyway, bloods drawn, BP tested (140/69) - high systolic, non? Anyway, fine. AND we got a growth scan and he's bang on for dates. Also got told that if I want the c-section I get it, but I need to get approval from someone senior and show that I understand - although she did say that if I want it I get it although they prefer to VBAC if I spontaneously go in to labour before 37 weeks. I'm happy to go along with that I think - on the off chance that my baby and my body go for it before 37 weeks.

*About the scan/placenta - he was going bonkers and the sonographer was laughing, but I was only vaguely aware of his movement because of the placenta. So I only really feel him when he's kicking very high/low/sides or very violently.
truffs Where are youuuuuuu?

Still here - boo hiss. Had a sweep this morning, bit ouch but bearable (good job, given what's to come Grin) and consultant says cervix medium to soft, 1cm dilated. She's hopeful and agreed to me going in for monitoring next Monday instead of booking induction date. She also prescribed lots of sex! (she was ackshurly pretty cool about it all)

Had a lot more show this morning so really hoping I can do it before Monday. Pliz to send contraction vibes? Friday is my nephew's 5th birthday so law of sod and all......

Good news on your appointment Ski sounds like you got a human this time.

Brownie re: movement, I did download a free app to 'count the kicks' but got bored after doing it a couple of times Blush I got to know a general pattern of movement as my baybee is very active between 9-11pm, sometimes later if I'm trying to sleep so I've just gone by that. MW tends to ask 'is baby moving ok' rather than 'have you felt 10 movements per hour' IYSWIM.

I'm about to have a bounceathon on my ball to see if that helps things. Have never wished pain upon myself in my life, but am definitely up for bab arrival ASAP.

KatAndKit · 22/11/2011 13:34

Sends big sneezing vibes to truffs and hopes for prompt laying of the baybee. Keep on bouncing!

Pone you can't win. One minute you are fat enough to be a grave danger to yourself and others, and now you are not even fat enough to be worthy of notice?!

MadameBoo · 22/11/2011 13:48

Good news on the soft dilation Truffs - if it does come to induction (sounds like it won't), it won't hurt a bit if they break your waters ;)

MadameBoo · 22/11/2011 13:49

that was meant to be a smile not a wink!

Truffkin · 22/11/2011 13:54

I like the wink Boo and sex is recommended to bring on contractions so right back atcha Wink

Thanks for good vibes, am keeping my fingers crossed.

Truffs? How's eet going?

Truffkin · 23/11/2011 22:23

Bloody show this morning but nada since. I did have a lovely long nap this afternoon though Grin

Am expecting TGB to step up to the plate this evening and administer some of his finest prostaglandin to help the process along. Am contemplating going into the MDU tomorrow to see if I can get examined and work out if anything is happening, but should really just wait for Monday when I have an appointment anyway.

I appear to have gone from zen-like patient person to 'I want my feckin baybee now' fairly quickly Confused. I'm blaming the baby polar bears and penguins on Frozen Plant.

Truffkin · 23/11/2011 22:24

Thanks for enquiring by the way, it's luffly.
