BrownB · 26/11/2011 12:45

Congratulations Truffs! That is just fantastic news! Glad to hear all went so um... zen-like! Beautiful wee boy. Grin

KatAndKit · 28/11/2011 11:11

And another ESH boy on the way....

The MiniKit will be a TomKat and was looking all cute and healthy on the 20 week scan. Still can't really believe it!

Truffkin · 28/11/2011 20:11

Yippee for great scan Kat and another ESH boy on the way. We'll have our own football team / boy band / ice dance troupe / synchronised swimming team*

*delete as appropriate to suit your own preference Grin

Ocarina · 28/11/2011 21:04

Hooray for Trufflet and Minikit

Surely it is time for some eshgirls though bugs ? Actually brownie is having a girl I believe. In the interests of equality she will have to be allowed on the team too.
However, perhaps there is something to be said about being convinced. I wouldn't say I was convinced, but I definitely didn't feel "girly". I also definitely had sex on ovulation day, had a sechsfail the day before, and had sex about three days before that so it was probably the last lot that got there. Not that I believe in most of this hocus pocus.

You have more likely jinxed yourself about the morning sickness. You will be back regretting what you said tomorrow! I recycled almost all of my bounty pack. Did you actually get anything decent in yours?

The only trouble about being on team blue is thinking of a boys name. I have no idea on this one. Fortunately I have plenty of time to think one up. We had found Kermit in a baby name list a few weeks ago (seriously, it was in there listed as a variant of Dermot,I shit you not) and we have been using that as a working title and making jokes about dressing him in a green babygro! However, as a real life name it may not work.....

AlpinePony · 29/11/2011 18:24

I don't think any daughter of brownie's is going to grow up all pink 'n' wet though - she'll be a tomboy to end all tomboys! Wink

Massive congratulations kitty - boyz are the best although I do admit I may be slightly biased. Although I am did get a little sad today when spying a sequin covered handbag today in a department store which I think a 10 year old girl would've had palpitations over when opening on xmas day. I will never be able to dress a little girl in a cherry-coloured velvet dress with stripey tights. Ah well, grandkids eh? Wink

I've heard worse names than Kermit - that's fo sho!

BrownB · 29/11/2011 20:18

Um... yes. Poor kid. She will probably take to pink in her teenage years just to piss me off...

Congrats KittyKat - great news on the wee one.

MadameBoo · 29/11/2011 20:55

KermyKit. :o

KatAndKit · 29/11/2011 20:57

Nice one boo

brownie just wait, she will find out about Hello Kitty or something of the like and your house will be awash with pink!!

buggs We got through the tiny pot whacking it on to me after my c-section. But we're still on the first pot of sudocream we actually bought (he's 17 months) - we only use it when he's got a rash, not each and every time. But yes, most of the "free" stuff I've been given has gone in the recycling - 2000 for a baby suite? Hmm Do I really need an 800 euro changing table? [guffaw] Btw, Burt's Bee's baybees is the shiz - cheapest on amazon. Smells gorgeous and free of SLS/parabens/nasty shiz. Oh and you don't need to bath your baybee every single day despite what the magazines/books tell you.

We've chosen the name for this one although the middle name is (imo) still up for discussion as I'm not 100% convinced, otoh, it's a middle name - it won't be tattooed on his forehead and I got to choose the middle name last time.

You can get a 'starter pack' for baby bee which will help you figure out what you like. E.g., we've stuck with their shampoo/body wash, talc and body lotion. We're on out 3rd talc and at 7 quid a pack or whatever it's not cheap but it's not as though you're burning through one a week!

Think of all the savings you'll make in the next year on sport's clothes. Swings and roundabouts.

Apparently newborns don't need any toiletries and you can just clean them with water.

BrownB · 30/11/2011 19:35

Oh you hippie you Kittykat!! Wink Deodorant is also frowned on I hear!

33 weeks on Sunday. I just read the section of my book labeled, Childbirth. Hmmm. I think I somehow have to get MrB to take a look. I have been taking lessons from that there Truffkin and have been firmly in De Nile, and in fact am still feeling a little ambivalent about all things childbirth related. Like it's going to happen to someone else. Perineum massage? Surly not! Kengals? Incontinence...? Birth plans? Maybe I'll make a stab at a birth plan this evening... or watch telly.

KatAndKit · 30/11/2011 22:29

Birth plan = GET IT OUT! Surely that will do and then you can get back to the telly? De Nile is a great place to be. I was thinking about looking into some of the hippo stuff but have not yet got around to it.

BrownB · 01/12/2011 12:44

KittyKat - how many weeks are you behind me? I can post you the book that Ocarina sent me in a few weeks if you like?

KatAndKit · 01/12/2011 12:46

I'm 21 weeks at the moment. I'd love the book thank you! I'll PM you my address on facebook if that's ok? Obviously you'll still be using it for now so I'll send you my details in a few weeks time. Nice to see this book making the rounds of the ESH!

Oh no! Fingers crossed Buggerlugs. It's impossible not to freak out and worry worry worry... here's hoping everything is okay though.

KatAndKit · 01/12/2011 16:24

Hope the time passes quickly until your scan. All fingers crossed in the meantime. Remember the odds are 90% in your favour at this point so there is every chance of it all being fine.
