DUE TODAY .... EEEK!!!

santageorgeiscomingtotown · 24/12/2005 09:51

Happy Christmas Eve to everyone.
Feeling much brighter today after a pretty decent nights sleep (only 1 major incident of totally dead hands!!)

Sorry your LO is being a monkey DQ. Hope you get through Christmas with you being spoiled rather than you having to look after everyone else.

Ninah, my, how he is spoiling you! Hope you have a peaceful few days. Don't worry, washboard stomach will soon be back in place for you I'm sure.

Looking forward to hearing from Scully.

bigbaubleeyes · 24/12/2005 12:00

Hi everyone - you're all still here pg and I am too. Only remote little faintest of hope that I may be nearing is i visited the loo twice within 12 hours for the other . But then it might just be the cheese, artichokes and mince pies I ate yesterday. Anyway DH is home with me for next four days - seems more bothered about cooking his turkey and making stuffing tonight (he also insists on watching die hard - his tradition not mine). But he has been out to get me chocolate this morning. I am going to -re arrange our bedroom ready for baby (been sleeping on sofas for two months) and get moses basket positioned and generally faff and order DH to move stuff.

Jaysfirst · 24/12/2005 13:32

hey can anyone tell me if i would be ok taking Benilyn cough mixture? i have suddenly developed a really tight chest and tight throat. I appreciate none of you are pharmacists!!! but an y advice would be cool

Have been out for the last time now, well till boxing day anyway, have started preparing some food for tomorrow, all is tidy, hoovered washings alkl done bed is changed, etc etc..just put out 'crissie sweet bowls' wont last long tho i can say, and going to watch some tele now, see if theres something festive on! Well, here I am, still no baby and I'm 41wks today
Have had stop/start pains since late Wed evening, up most of the night with them Wed and Thurs nights. Thurs night was awful with no sleep and very uncomfortable. Dh stayed home Friday, as we really did think something was going to happen. But of course the pains stopped between 7am and 11am Rang the hospital anyway and they said come up, so we spent a few hours in the day assessment unit - they checked my waters hadn't gone at all (they hadn't), gave me a sweep, and monitored my contractions and the baby's heartbeat for about half an hour. Pains started again and became more regular again (mostly every 4 min) after the sweep until about 2am this morning where they stopped again. Have had irregular ones since about 11am this morning but nothing worth timing.
So no baby, 1wk overdue & would now like this pain to be doing something constructive! But am keeping my legs crossed now until tomorrow afternoon, after lunch at our friends house
We had Xmas lunch today though, in case we miss out tomorrow, and the half a glass of champagne, plus Haagen Daaz for dessert were lovely
Have a lovely Xmas everyone!

scully · 24/12/2005 18:29

Sorry Jay not sure about the cough mixture - does the manufacturer's website say anything?

awayninahmanger · 24/12/2005 19:08

ah, scully, what a tease ... was sure you would be next. 41 weeks, you must be glum
Hi dq, still here as well, the ivy's fallen down from the mirror and I am too fat to get back up the stepladder, all I want to do is sleep
Friend with baby came round this morning and took ds to the park bless her, p has him now at drinks party, all v restful but not feeling v Christmassy
Will have a glass of wine soon as ds is in bed, sod it. What a weird way to spend the er 'festive season'!
Jays Benylin is quite strong I'd be surprised if it was 'OK' then again I'm the one planning on a glass of fizz so can't read any rule books.
George for 'washboard stomach' in real life read 'waterbed stomach', however it will be nice just to put baby DOWN occasionally iyswim!
Well Happy Christmas all, ho ho ho and all that hope you have a lovely time unwrapping over the next 12 hours and maybe that will include some unwrapping of our babies xx
Go, let's be devils and do it tomorrow, what do you say? max inconvenience to all and sundry -could do with SOMETHING HAPPENING!
