Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Mum2be79 · 29/10/2011 09:40

The reason behind changing Rascal's diet was just cost. He's 5 now and I think the older he gets the harder it will be to change his diet. We're going to go down the 'iams in the treat box' route and DH likes the idea of a fountain. As for water, I knew that they don't like it near their food so we have bowls stashed all over the house! Speak of the devil ... he's made an appearance miaowing FEED ME!!

I keep getting bubble like little jumps in my uterus. Peanut is VERY lively this morning. A colleague said to watch out for hiccups.Could it be them?

Nanny01 · 29/10/2011 10:40

NCT sale today and I have my free tickets for the baby show tomorrow.

As for cat our cat is on dry apart from the odd mouse or small bird he catches. Our cat ignores the water in his bowel and like puddles very hygenic.

ghosteditor · 29/10/2011 11:12

DH is home!!!! Grin Grin Grin

skeletonfishbonesandlilacs · 29/10/2011 11:49

ghost whoop whoop, I'm so happy for you xxxx

shonnomanom · 29/10/2011 12:10

Fantastic news ghost!!! Do you know yet how long he's home for?

Nanny01 · 29/10/2011 13:02

Great news ghost now the weekend can begin for you.

SlightlyScrambled · 29/10/2011 14:49

Happy Birthday baby Addicted!

Shonno great to hear your little one is eating again. Hope she makes a speedy recovery.

Fish I had a good laugh at your dad playing This little piggy! [hgrin]
I was barefoot until 4pm today waiting for DH to come home to put my socks on.

Ghost delighted for you, hope you guys have a great weekend catching up

Mum2be I noticed with the hiccups that they'll be very rhythmic, just like ours so it's not too difficult to discern them from other movements.

My bean is moving so much that today, even DH could see my stomach jumping from across the room. And whenever I do the kegel exercises, I get kicks in return. Handy though, if I want to get a movement, I try an exercise.

ParsleyLion1 · 29/10/2011 15:53

Fab news ghost Grin

Brownwolf · 29/10/2011 16:20

v pleased for you ghost hope you have a great weekend

Mum2be79 · 29/10/2011 16:51

ghost very pleased your DH is home.

addicted a very happy baby birthday.

cat He has just eaten a handful of biscuits mixed in with whiskers - horray! Although DH came in from outside shouting "Quick get the worming stuff. He's got a huge worm hanging from his bum!" (Yuck!). Looked on the calender and he was a couple of weeks over his due date so I've marked it in BIG BLUE INK on the new calender this time. Also, we were under treating him according to his weight. Not now!!! I suppose that's what you get when your crazy cat eats the local wildlife. Serial killer on the loose!

peanut I think definitely hiccups as it was rhythmic movements I was feeling. I am finding that movements are becoming more intense and sometimes uncomfortable. I had an intense Braxton Hicks this morning. I tend to get them between 4am and 7am. I wonder if that will be a sign?

hospital bag I'm thinking about starting to pack mine. Is it too early? I'm 31 weeks tomorrow (yikes!) and I have a feeling Peanut will make an early appearance. My MIL reckons early-mid December. I've not met one person who thinks not!

shonnomanom · 29/10/2011 17:16

I had planned to get the bags ready once the decorating was complete. But due to dd being ill all week and dp's work shifts changing we're rather behind schedule.
I'm 31weeks tommorrow also. The new plan is to have bags ready within 3 weeks. Hopefully the house will be ready then as well.

skeletonfishbonesandlilacs · 29/10/2011 22:57

Hiya all,

Been to a halloween party (mainly for kids but adults dressed up too) wore my stupid high heeled long black boots to go with my witch outfit. (dd told me I wasn't allowed to go as a fairy-not halloweeny enough apparently)

I really frickin hurt now-why didn't i wear flat shoes? My hips are terrible. To top it all off the cold I have been fighting off all week has hit me quite hard in the chest. Every time I cough I wet myself :( feeling very miserable. I have had enough, I hurt, i'm tired, everyting is too much effort. If i could go have this baby tmrw I would. HUMPH GRUMPH FLUMPH :(

mum2b I have had my bag ready for about 3 weeks. The house will probably never get done so I thought i'd least do the bits i'm control of.

shonnomanom · 29/10/2011 23:18

Sorry to hear your feeling horrible fish iv been feeling similar most of this week.

I would love to go to bed and sleep uninterrupted for the next 9weeks. These crutches are really annoying me. Im having to rethink everything that iv got to do over the next few weeks as they slow me down so much.
Very Envy at you being brave enough to wear heels. I wore a sandals with a heel less than 1cm and I was in agony for days!

Wormshuffler · 30/10/2011 06:55

Hi girls Well I had my 4d scan and what can I say it was amazing!
Saw baby sticking its tongue out and wriggling around.
It is currently breech and measuring 3 weeks ahead, and weighs 4lb. Predicted birth weight at 39 weeks of 8lbs11.
If it stays breech they usually do cs at 38 weeks which is boxing day !

Hope you ladies are well and have restful weekends planned, have fun with DH ghost how long is he here for?

Did you pick up any good bargains at the NCT sale nanny?

Those of you still waiting for your boots free bag voucher, I think we all registered around the same time after someone lovely on here suggested it, and mine came yeasterday, I havn't been in to fetch it yet though.

Hows the hips this morning fish?

Glad the DD is better shannon hope the hips arnt playing you up too much......

shonnomanom · 30/10/2011 06:56

Ahhh I'm wide awake!
Have been lying in bed thinking I'm not getting up until its nearer 8am. Couldn't get back to sleep so thought id play with phone. It's not even 7am yet!! Forgot to change the bedroom clock before bed. Sad its gonna be a long day...

shonnomanom · 30/10/2011 07:01

Xpost worm sorry
Glad to see I'm not the only one awake
How cute, the baby sticking its tongue out. Hopefully it will then around for you, there's still enough time.

31weeks today [hsmile] [hshock]

addictediam · 30/10/2011 07:29

morning all, thankyou for all the irthday wishes for dd. she had a lovley day, and wee even managed to do alittle bit of work on her room, stil not finished but were getting there!

were off to a friends baby blessing today (like a christening but diffrent religion) the only problem is the church capicity is 90, they invited 80 people, her mil invited another 25 her mum invited an additional 15 and they've had replies from another 20 saying they are coming despite no invitation, so they are now tryin to squeese 150 people into the church!!! [hshock]

fish, i'm sorry your feeling down, hope your feeling better this morning. use the shoes as a learing curve, you cant wear heals again untill after teh baby is born!

worm how cute! hearing some of you talk about 4d scans makes me want to go and have one done

shonnomanom make the most of the extra hour by getting up and treating yourself by doing something you wouldnt normally do!

ParsleyLion1 · 30/10/2011 08:04

I had all sorts of plans for the extra hour but seem to have slept it - must have needed it. I've got so much work to do today it's unrealSad

Bean is being a bit quiet today. Was very active yesterday though so wonder if she's tired. Having said that just now being bished as I type.

I had to sacrifice myself yesterday - the bump really wanted a cup cake so I had to suffer and eat 2. The things we have to do eh? [hwink]

Sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish shon and fish. I was going to wear about 2 inch heels with my wedding dress. Thinking it would only be for about an hour. I may have a rethink based on your experience.

addictediam · 30/10/2011 09:39

Parsley go for flats, you can get some lovley wedding slippers almost exactly like ballett shoes (obviously that may not be your taste!) I think debinhams or john lewis would do them

ghosteditor · 30/10/2011 10:03

Worm that sounds so lovely! And parsley, you take one for the team, cupcakes are a necessary sacrifice (I had one too yesterday!)

It's nice spending time with DH, even if I had other plans for most of yesterday. It was my friend's birthday so I went up to Brum for the afternoon. I'm full of cold and tire easily so I gave dinner and fancy dress a miss, but it was lots of fun anyway.

Whoever said the third trimester would be harder was so right - it was likely flicking a switch between 27 and 28 weeks for me! Bump is now quite heavy, I get really tired, my feet hurt, and yesterday I sneezed and it felt like I had torn my lower abs away from my pelvis - agony for 30 seconds or so! How are we all going to cope??

skeletonfishbonesandlilacs · 30/10/2011 10:29

Morning all,

Ugh-I am even worse today, dh let me sleep in again bless him. Not that I had much choice. Here I am sweating, shivering, coughing and feeling gak. lat thing I need before were back to school and work this week-still I got my wish for not being ill over half term, but somehow the universe got it wrong-what I meant was I didn't want to get ill full stop-not just delay it by a week!

DH is cleaning the bathroom and dd is doing some writing practice. Despite the fact she didn't get to bed til gone 9.30 last night she was up early but DH said he didn't mind. He's been such a star.

worm 4d scan cuteness- little tongue :) how sweet. I know the feeling with the big baby, mine is supposedley wieghing close to 4lb too. i'm suprised my cs is not booked for earlier as well but consultant seems insistent that my due date week is the best day for it. I wonder if that would change if it weren't so close to xmas.

Yes girls, let my high wearing tomfoolery be a lesson-don't even try it, I wore them for less than an hour.

greenlady78 · 30/10/2011 10:37

addicted happy birthday to your little one!

skeltongfish so sorry to hear you are feeling ill!!!! Argh, not good and hoping you feel better very soon!!!
