Ladies, our previous thread was getting full so here is a lovely new shiny home for us all.

I've put some comfy cushions around and plenty of pregnancy safe snacks and drinks. The Segway park is in the corner over there next to the stack of glittery vom buckets (plenty of extra buckets too for all the newbies).

In the corner over here you'll find our library of leaflets including sections on early pregnancy private scan clinics, pushchairs and car seats.

Hope you all like it very much :)

Thanks for the tips meme, will check it out.

biscuits, I have tried searching for the twin stuff on mm and keep getting threads where someone mentions 'my twins did X...' etc But no actual twin ones. I'm still rubbish at mn.

Going to Google tamba at meconium's advice then get to bed. I have the night dread as I'm exhausted and dd v restless and sounds like she's gearing up for another bad night..

dreamfeeder · 07/10/2011 22:54

And the nearly new sales fishcake, on phone so keep missing things, sorry

duke748 · 07/10/2011 23:56

Thanks for all the positive thinking. I have the cheap Ikea cot, I bought the posh mattress to go in it and those, mattress protector, sheets and mobile all came in at just under £100. Really good value.

Biscuitsandtea · 08/10/2011 07:20

Dream, this is the twins ante natal thread I was thinking of xx

A belated happy birthday to Too! I hope you had a wonderful day. How sweet that your LO gave you a birthday nudge!

Dream your nausea/puking and hunger pains sound so incredibly frustrating! Sending lots of No Brooking vibes your way (and feelings of fullness? Can I do that?) I hope your little DD starts sleeping through the night again soon, so you can both feel better! This is all TEMPORARY. the sickness will end soon, your DD will start feeling better and sleeping more. You WILL get through this, hang on!

Oooo ikea cots for £40?! Sounds great! I don't mind investing lots of money in the pram or car seat, but all cot frames look the same to me! I just want something functional and I'll invest in a good mattress. The ikea one sounds perfect!

dreamfeeder · 08/10/2011 15:10

Oh, thanks biscuits. No, how is it you find and link these things so easily when I trawled around searching fruitlessly for 50 min and didn't find it.

I posted on there already, and the response is already the panic and self-torture of bad things happening does not go with a twin pregnancy until the babies are delivered!!! I will just have to try to worry a little less and hope against hope both babies make it just fine to term!

Having ANOTHER bad day of sickness. Just eating my first meal I hope will stay down after another meds dose... Got a bit fed up this morning and had a good cry on DH (hormones, hunger, sickness and worry, I'm blaming that on). DH has made me my sandwich, and let me stay in bed til 10 am, 10am, imagine the bliss!!! I find if I have nothing to do with the food preparation I am more likely to be able to get it down without wretching mid-chew or bringing it up straight away.

Not long til your scan now duke, I'll be thinking of you at 8:30 tomorrow.

Trip to ikea en masse ladies?!

dreamfeeder · 08/10/2011 15:10

'now' that was meant to be... and a ? at the end!

Purplebuns · 08/10/2011 19:21

I have no internet so just marking spot. I cant tead tgread peoperly either :( however Twins! wow!

Biscuitsandtea · 08/10/2011 19:27

Dream I only found that one because I knew it was in ante natal clubs somewhere so just looked down the list of threads in that category - I'm not super clever or anything, honest Smile

I do hope your sickness starts to go off soon you poor thing - did you say it was 16 weeks ish last time? Also v glad your DH let you have a lie in - well deserved I think Smile

OP posts:
dreamfeeder · 08/10/2011 19:41

but biscuits, I found 48 pages of threads, and after AGES of looking still hadn't found that one in antenatal!

DH has been lovely today but is definitely fed up with my lounging round on the computer all day on mn and googling twins even though I still feel tried etc and don't feel up to much else. It was 16 weeks last time when I stopped puking, about 18 weeks to end of nausea, but I think it was easing by now, I certainly wasn't on medication any more at this point and wasn't quite so bad.

I found the NHS stuff on twins and am now a bit Hmm about what the sonographer told me. She said she thought non-identical, and has put on the printed sheet on green notes 'Probably Dichorionic/diamniotic' (DCDA). I assumed this meant she was right with her 'I think' they're non-ID. However, the NHS website tells me that a third of identical twins are DCDA... So I'm not sure about her advice now... You have to find out before 14 weeks or it's too hard to tell according to the NHS website. So added that to my list of worries... Plus there's someone told non-ID on the twin thread at her 12 week NHS scan on that assumption, but paid for a private scan as unconvinced and had ID girls confirmed!!!

Biscuitsandtea · 08/10/2011 20:22

Ah, I didn't do a search, just went to all topics, becoming a parent, ante natal clubs and went down the list (hoping someone had posted on it recently).

That's scary potentially about the thinking they are non id - do you think you could get a private scan to confirm?

Hope that sickness buggers off soon xx

Haven't posted for a bit, looks like you have all forgotten me :(

I've been off work for a fortnight and just been signed off for another week due to the constant vomming. Getting plenty of use out of my sparkly bucket! Lost 1/2 stone so far which is nice.

Got my booking appointment on Weds so at least I won't have to take time off for it!

Biscuitsandtea · 08/10/2011 20:38

Oh Jen, never forgotten!

We love you Smile

So sorry to hear you're having vomming problems Sad. Hopefully it will start to ease off soon. Have you had any scans yet or are you hanging on til 12 weeks?

OP posts:
dreamfeeder · 08/10/2011 21:56

Hi Jen big sympathy for the vomiting, blooming grim isn't it! Maybe twins for you too?! I'm due back at work Wednesday week and had to ring my team leader and tell her I'm pg, twins and vomming so may even be off sick. Lead balloon anyone?! I have lost similar and did with my first pg. Hope it gets better for you. Have you got some anti-emetics? If they don't work is suggest going back for x change- cyclizine did nothing for me but buccastem quite effective.

Yes, scan news or date please! Xx

dreamfeeder · 09/10/2011 08:12

Morning duke, hopefully some lovely reassurance for you in about 20 min. Fill us in ASAP!!!!

Now ladies, I know you've been missing my mars bar scale, state of my upset tummy updates so i thought I'd let you know Wink STILL got a bad tummy, but sometimes as good as between a 6 and a 4 I'd say :-) (well, come on, there's only really Dh I can discuss this with in rl, so you lot have to hear) . Already had a really good chunder this morning but hoping for a better day overall.

jenfraggle · 09/10/2011 09:25

no private scan for me. Am hoping that i'll be given my scan date on weds as heard nothing yet. Dr hasn't given me any pills because i'm not dehydrated. Dreading going back to work as i hate it so much and they aren't going to be very happy with me for being off.

duke748 · 09/10/2011 10:05

Thanks for thinking of me! All ok an a lovely flickering heart beat. Grin

Am a very, very, very happy girl! X

Biscuitsandtea · 09/10/2011 10:25

dreamfeeder · 09/10/2011 13:10

Hooray duke!!!! Well done you! I'm so pleased for you jen, that's crap, I had them for my last pregnancy when I wasn't dehydrated too.

dreamfeeder · 09/10/2011 13:10

scarletfingernail · 09/10/2011 14:15

Fantastic scan news duke

Welcome back jen, I hope you start feeling better soon and get on ok back at work.

I'm feeling very, very fat today

pommedechocolat · 09/10/2011 15:30

scarlett - I have put on 11 lbs (19 weeks). I am the fattest.

My thighs and bum have spread already which didn't happen till about 30 weeks with dd...

Anyways, yay for Duke and a hair stroke for Jen. I'd second trying another doctor.

LoveInAColdClimate · 09/10/2011 15:58

Do I win? I had put on 11lb at 17 weeks!
