Ladies, our previous thread was getting full so here is a lovely new shiny home for us all.

I've put some comfy cushions around and plenty of pregnancy safe snacks and drinks. The Segway park is in the corner over there next to the stack of glittery vom buckets (plenty of extra buckets too for all the newbies).

In the corner over here you'll find our library of leaflets including sections on early pregnancy private scan clinics, pushchairs and car seats.

Hope you all like it very much :)

Morning :)

At work so really shouldn't be here as usual Blush

Still not even a scan appointment here. Do they not know I am impatient??Grin

Keep popping those pills dream sounds like it's making a real difference.

I am away to go and eat everything in the world my lunch now. soooooooo hungry!

jaggythistle · 17/09/2011 12:01

Oh I am so not in a DTD mood. I just want to sleep. Also eat a lot.

dreamfeeder · 17/09/2011 12:43

i feeeeeelllllllllll siiiiiiiiiiiiiick. and thirsty.

jaggy, me neither.... not in the slightest

musicalmrs · 17/09/2011 14:43

Back in A&E this afternoon - lots more blood today. Not feeling too hopeful... but thinking I might not be in the pee stick endorsed club much longer..

BartletForAmerica · 17/09/2011 14:55

musical, so sorry to read this. I do hope everything is okay, but do know that we are all here for you whatever happens.

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 17/09/2011 15:25

Oh no musical. Sad I hope everything is okay too.

Dream, yay for the Magic Pills! Please note: it was the Magic Pills AND the Brooking that worked, not just the Brooking. I am sure that the pills alone would not do the trick either - after all, Brooking is proven to work!

Blush about the waxing thing. It never even occured to me that you might be talking about leg waxing!

Purplebuns · 17/09/2011 15:27

Music I am so sorry you are going through this, it is so awful and frightening, do post, we are all here for you many, of us having gone through the same thing. :( I have everything crossed for you x

Dream I was really pleased to see you were better and then read you were feeling sick again! Do some more brooking pill taking and make sure you go back to your doc if it doesn't bugger off.

Jaggy give them a ring and hassle them!

I think I felt the baby move earlier, I had a very full bladder and I just felt a squirming feeling for about a minute! Shock :o

I am still being sicky, it has got a bit better and I can eat more different things rather than just thinking everything is disgusting. Yippee!

MeconiumHappens · 17/09/2011 15:51

musical Fingers crossed everything will be okay.

purple ooooh our first baby wiggle!!!!!!!

Have decided to tell the parents tomorrow when we sit down for dinner. I bought two cards today, on the front they say "Just a little note to say..."
and on the inside im going to write "See you in May! Love Baby Happens xxx"
Will give one each to ours mums to open without saying anything, thought it would be cute :)

HidingInTheUndergrowth · 17/09/2011 17:02

Oh musical do take care of yourself. It is such a horrible thing to go through and not fair at all. Hopefully it will all turn out to be ok, my sil bled quite heavily throughout most of her second pregnancy and was fine. But whatever happens remember there are lots of people on here and other threads who have been through similar and we are all here for you when you need us.

pommedechocolat · 17/09/2011 17:10

Fingers crossed for you musicalmrs.

LoveInAColdClimate · 17/09/2011 17:31

Oh, Musical, I have everything crossed for you.

LoveInAColdClimate · 17/09/2011 17:36

I feel bad posting nice stuff when Musical is in such a horrid situation, but I think I may have felt some baby flutters last night... However, it would be vvvvv early, especially as it's my first baby (am 14+3), so am quite prepared that it could have been digestion! It felt a bit like the nervous butterflies you get when, er, nervous, except without the accompanying feeling of worry. But quite admit it could have been some digestive thing!

musicalmrs · 17/09/2011 18:11

Love, don't not post things on my account! Flutters sound so exciting! Very cheering too...:)

Thank you for all your thoughts (again). I'm still in A&E, waiting for results, no news or info. Still bleeding. DH about to go mad. I'm feeling calmer (not sure why), but still worried as anything. Have been here 3.5 hours - the lack of speed really isn't impressing me...

scarletfingernail · 17/09/2011 18:27

musical really sorry to read that you're back at A&E. I'm thinking of you and hoping that everything is ok.

dream you deserve a medal. How on earth are you managing to breast feed while being as ill and dehydrated as you are? Grin at your DH for his dtd suggestion. We have not done dtd at all since I got my BFP Blush Is that too much information to share? When I was expecting DS we only dtd 4 times during the whole pregnancy. It really affected DH's mojo thinking about the baby being in there.

purple how exciting feeling those first flutters.

Meconium I love the card idea. I might even nick that for myself. Could even print a copy of the scan picture and put it inside.

You'll be shocked to hear I've got nothing to quiz you on today. No weird symptoms or worries to harp on about. Just had a really nice day with DH and DS and also managed to have a lovely afternoon nap.

Scream Where are you? Tell us about your scan.

scarletfingernail · 17/09/2011 18:38

Oooh and LoveIn just seen your post. Baby wriggles for you too, fantastic!

MeconiumHappens · 17/09/2011 19:19

Glad you've had a nice chilled out day scarlet and hooray for naps. Havent felt at all tired yet which is fortunate.

Hope screams scan went well today. I think she'll find it really reassuring.

My scan picture doesnt really show anything that even vaguely looks like a baby unless you know what a 7 week prawn baby looks like so dont think its wort putting photo in the cards, was originally going to but having seen it i think they will be confused ha!

OOOh more flutters, how exciting love it could be wind, but theres no reason it couldnt be like baby love having a wriggle. Much nicer than wind :)

Still keeping everything crossed for you musicalmrs Hope you have some answers soon.

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 17/09/2011 19:27

Musical, hope they come back with your results soon. Keeping you waiting like that is just not on! FX that it will turn out ok.

Purple and Love - oooh, baby flutters! How far along are you, Purple? I didn't feel anything definite until about 19 weeks last time, but then when I did I realised I had been feeling tiny movements for a while, I just hadn't realised what they were. I had an anterior placenta getting in the way, which didn't help. FX for no anterior placenta this time around - I forgot to ask at the early scans.

Scarlet, hurray for a nice calm day and a snooze! I had a nap too, for about an hour, but got woken up by the phone and couldn't go back to sleep. We have only DTD about 3 times, I think Blush. You're not the only one with a sudden drop in interest!

Meconium, that does sound cute - hope it all goes to plan!

I suppose I'd better go cook. Pasta with cheese, bacon and peas, I think - proper stodge!

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 17/09/2011 19:28

Oh yes, Scream, where are you? Come and update us soon!

dreamfeeder · 17/09/2011 19:43

scream, still not around?! I'm hoping it was because you're too excited after your wonderful scan.

I have only been sick 3 times today, very manageable. I am currently not hungry or thirsty and am very cheerful about it all. I could kiss the lovely pill-producing gp, i really could. I put on the other thread that he is truly marvellous, a hero and possibly a silver fox. I wonder if DH should be worried but sure it'll pass once i get more blase about being fixed, so long as it continues

too, i had an anterior placenta last time and had barely felt the baby move by my 20 week scan, only little bits and not very regular. People kept saying 'oh, are you getting lots of kicking?' and i had to keep saying no and trying not to panic. Such a relief when the sonographer said 'oh i bet you've not felt much movement with such an anterior placenta'. Another one I could have kissed...

purple and love, how lovely for you!!! Looking forward to that bit. Kind of. Although, then I also worry about being vigilant of it it stops/changes. Doh. DD was such a wriggler that if I didn'tt feel her move for 20 min I'd wonder... She didn't move for 2 hours once and I nearly had DH come to the m/w with me!!! Think she was having a kip so thank goodness I didn't!

dreamfeeder · 17/09/2011 19:44

Oh, and musical, I'm thinking of you, and Brooking for you, and hoping you get your results soon and that they're good.... Let us know, and we'll all be hoping for you.

musicalmrs · 17/09/2011 20:45

Thank you scarlet, Menconium, too and dream.

Finally home. After the doctor in A&E came back to me, he asked "Do you want to be admitted?". I told him no - that I just wanted to get my blood results back and have a scan, to ensure that things were in the right place! Wish I'd asked first thing, as within 20 minutes I was being given a cannular (for no good reason, as it was taken out a little later) and wheeled up to a ward to see a gynae expert.

She was lovely. She said my bleeding doesn't look too bad, but obviously she can't rule out anything. hCG has gone from 9000 on Wed to 17000 today, which is good! Booked in for a scan on either Monday or first thing Tuesday (depends if there's a cancellation on Monday), to check what's going on. She also told me that I should have been booked in for a scan after Wednesday... hmm!

dream, your tablets sound wonderful! So glad they're working for you - being sick three times sounds so much more manageable than before, and glad you're keeping something down!

Menconium, that is such a wonderful idea! Provided all goes well, I may have to pinch it.. ;)

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 17/09/2011 21:00

Hi ladies!

Apologies for coming on so late, we ended up going for an unexpected visit to DH's cousins (and gorgeous little boy) after the scan so I've been out all day. The scan was amazing!! It was just lovely to hear the heartbeat and have the sono lady say everything looks good so far. I can't believe there's a whole other human being, with their own independent heartbeat, INSIDE ME!! How crazy is that!?! Just loving it!

There was a little bit of bad news. A couple of fibroids appear to have popped up (I really don't think I had any before, just because generally my periods have been light and short in the past). The fibroids are actually pretty big, and one of them is so low the sono lady says that unless it shrinks/moves I might not be able to have a vb. Kinda sucks because I'm terrified of having a cs! I'm not stressing about it though. The sono lady says the fibroids will cause pain later on in the pg (sigh) but they shouldn't adversely affect the pg at all, which is the important thing! So long as my little bean is safe! The final decision on how this birth goes is sooooooooooo many weeks away, I'm not giving it another thought for now.

So overall I'm on cloud nine!! Also, as soon as I saw my little bean I knew it was a boy! I can't explain it, and DH and his cousins have been laughing at me all day, but I just knew! I felt it as soon as I looked at him! My theory is that since it's possible from 7 weeks to determine the gender of a baby from the Mother's blood, from that point I think it's entirely possible that your intuition can kick in and tell you the answer! (I'm not taking this too seriously by the way ladies, just in case you now think I'm insane! It's just a hunch and anyway I have a 50/50 chance of being right! Lol!)

Purple and Love that is soooooooooo exciting that you're feeling movement!! That must be just incredible! How wonderful!

Musical

fishcakefoxtrot · 17/09/2011 21:19

Musical, so glad to hear that things are looking hopeful. I hope you are able to get some rest over the weekend and that you get your scan early on Monday.

Dream, glad to hear the sickness has abated a little, wishing you little or no vomiting and lots of wees tomorrow!

Jaggy, I phoned the hopsital to find out my scan date. They were very tolerant of me and my impatience and passed me on the ultrasound department so that I could rearrange it as they were going to offer me an appointment when I will be away. I see you are in Scotland too- I don't see anyone until 12 weeks, is that the same for you?

I have just had a delicious snack of mozarella and vinegar (strange? Grin) and I think I am going to have an early night- was joined by a wriggly DD in bed at 4.30 this morning...

fishcakefoxtrot · 17/09/2011 21:27

Hooray for a marvellous scan, Scream!

I wonder if your intuition will be proved right?! Will you find out at 20 weeks?

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 17/09/2011 21:38

Hi Fishcake! I'll definitely be confirming (ahem) the gender at 20 weeks! How about you? Hoping for a surprise or will you be finding out?
