Sex Confused whats that?
Dp is too afraid to come near me incase he makes the PGP worse, bless him.

I popped into TKMaxx today to for a nosey at the boots and came out with a new Change Bag, Its soo lovely and chocolate in colour. I really dont need a bag but my justification is that baby is getting lots of hand me downs and deserves something new.

Poor dd was supposed to get her pre-school booster today as well but she has a really sore throat so they wont touch her. She's gutted. For some reason she loves the doctors and was really looking forward to going for herself rather than for me. Wonder if her love of doctors will stay long enough for her to grow up to be one and she can look after her mum......

Our master plan for the little one is professional athlete Grin. should that not come off, my secret alternate life job if a stunt person would be most awesome. a vocational job would be grand, too. I have a great degree and a good job but am paid peanuts so i'd always back something that requires extra qualifications and specialising. Let's get through the birth first though Wink

That dress is so pretty! I bought a couple of tops from jojo maman this weekend and love them, plus fab purple maternity tights. Am so relieved that the weather has cooled again so that I can wear them!

fishandlilacs · 04/10/2011 13:37

Sex...sigh. I remember that-the night I conceived this one :( DH has simply not been interested and any burgeoning pregnancy horn I did have has now passed. DH's back has been so bad recently that it's been off the cards totally. Cest las vie, we'll make up for it at some point i'm sure. I miss it but it's not a problem. He did give me a lovely snog the other day-made me feel like a teenager.

yummy has your husband got to have a frenuloplasty? My dh had that same problem a few years ago. It changed everything once he'd got it done and recovered. Sex Life was much better.

You lot sound so much more organised than me, last time we had done the nursery and I filled my freezer with lots of premade meals. I just can't seem to find the motivation. I have never been this unprepared.

redheadbedhead · 04/10/2011 13:45

it wasn't yummys OH, it was me! but yes, i think that's it. he's got to have things cut and made looser, but luckily not full scale circumcision which he was really worried about. I'm so glad you say it made everything better, we've both been worried about it because it's not something you can easily ask your friends about to see whether anyone has experience. I badgered him for two years until I finally said I wasn't sleeping with him again until he rang the doctors. that worked quite well....

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 04/10/2011 13:45

I am rapidly developing a JoJo addiction. Not so much for their trousers, because I like the big big bump band, but their tops and dresses are amazing and have you seen the cute clothes they have for smalls? love love love!

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 04/10/2011 13:51

My DH can't keep up with my libido normally, but being pregnant has reduced mine considerably, so we're more in synch. I still like having the skin to skin contact, though, so I make him give me naked or topless cuddles, which is actually lovely and very intimate without having to deal with his hangups about hurting me or the baby.

Ugh - I think I'm getting another cold. Still, at least it's got colder outside so I can enjoy my fave cold remedy - spicy chinese chicken soup. Yum.

fishandlilacs · 04/10/2011 14:20

redhead gawd i seem to have a blind spot when it come to your posts-what a twonk! I'm sorry.

Tell your DH it's nothing to worry about-it's a minor op, much better than full curcumcision because that can lead to a over sensitive willy in adult males and make the problem worse. I think the worst bit for my DH was looking at it afterwards-it looked a little like hellraiser-his words not mine and that was the most shocking thing but it only took about a week or so to recover from.

redheadbedhead · 04/10/2011 14:33

Grin don't worry fish
thanks for the advice - i think i might just not look at it until it's better!! Shock

Capybara · 04/10/2011 15:23

Red, I've come very late to this, but I'd just like to say that when I mentioned that Count The Kicks website to my obgyn last week she made a rude noise and told me on no account to stress about it - apparently what we feel really is a very unreliable guide to what's going on in there (as your experience proves!)

ParsleyLion1 · 04/10/2011 15:55

Just checked the GP's website re the flu jab and they have a clinic saturday am for eligible recipients which is fab news as I didn't want to have to take more time off work over the next couple of weeks :)

Fryn · 04/10/2011 16:50

Can I just say there's something a bit surreal about reading about everyone's sex lives (or lack of) and DH's willies whilst sitting at my desk... You have to love MN!

I remember DTD when we conceived Abi. Irritatingly it was the Royal Wedding day... Thanks for my repeated thrush, and the early bleeding we got very little action 1st trimester, and into 2nd, but we're not doing badly now considering he's away a lot and I'm usua;;y very tired after work.

As for what Abi's to be when she grows up...well, I just don't mind! As long as she isn't a christian fuindamentalist with a love of football....wanna bets what she grows up to be???

redhead sounds painful for you DH. Hope it's resolved soon.

yummy I'm getting inexplicably testy too. Being hot and tired def. aren't helping. Thankfully it's a lot cooler here today.

Mum2be79 · 04/10/2011 19:46

Sex I hear some of you mention?

Still doing it. Nothing changed much except finding new positions!! Grin

I'm eating like a horse now which coincides with a growth spurt I think. Feeling huge. Belly itchy but no stretch marks or that brown line thingy. Palmers' Coco Butter lotion is doing it's job.

As for Peanut - DH has plans to 'push' him/her in the direction of doctor, vet or chemical engineer (cos he's one!?) So names that sound 'cute' are out and old fashioned ones are in?!? God help him if he/she wants to be an X factor contestant.

Peanut made a friend today. 6-month-old Annabel showed him/her how high and how hard she could jump whilst on my knee. When I handed her back to mum, Peanut thought he/she would give it a go too!

Oeisha · 04/10/2011 20:10

mum2be Grin that's very cute. Abi's got performance anxiety today and utterly refuses to perform for DH. I think he's going to be the one to calm her, she goes very quiet every time he puts his hand on my belly. She's doing some very low bashings but seems fairly quiet today.

trubble · 04/10/2011 22:02

Hey all - just wanted to say make sure you log into Bounty and enter the competitions. Just won 3 months supply of nappies. Must be my lucky week - had better go out and get a lottery ticket!

shonnomanom · 04/10/2011 22:16

Well done on the nappy win trubble!

I looovvvee JoJo clothes. Was soo happy last year when they opened their first Scottish store in Edinburgh.

My latest growth spurt has brought heartburn like Iv never known it, and iv known it regularly since late pregnancy with dd. Everytime I eat, no matter what I eat and get this horrible acid taste at the back of my throat. Yuck! Ah well only 3 months to go . . .

sassylassie · 04/10/2011 23:19

I'm a JoJo fan too! Just spent way too much money on the site over the weekend though, and feeling a bit resentful at how much I've had to fork out for maternity clothes already now I've had to accept I just can't carry on wearing my normal clothes anymore with squashing the LO and getting stomach ache (not good!) even with belt extenders and bump bands! Finally realised I can't really get away with not buying a maternity winter coat and after a few failed eBay bids I finally took the plunge and bought this one. Made the sensible decision and opted for black, but kind of regretting not getting the bright red/pink one now. :( So many maternity clothes are drab colours already!

yummy If by working out, you mean going swimmign once, maybe twice a week and being on my feet and rushing about (seriously, never still) then yes, I am. Beyond that, no.

Off for my 25wks today.

Had a small tipping incident when trying to collect my urine sample this morning. Went allover my pj bottoms and on the floor. Had to take Bo-Bar in for a checkup so haven't had time to wash the foor yet, plus my wrist/elbow are freaking killing me, making me even less inclined until the pain eases a bit. Ah the joys. Work are gonna love me being able to do even less if it's tendon damage (what it feels like), here's hoping the MW isn't worried, I don't have to wear a support thus rendering me lame unable to work at my current job.

Also going to ask about my weightloss, tho am a massive 1/2lb up on pre-pg now! And itf bunged up a little more (though I feel she won't want to count that and may want to stick my on laculose).

Ah well, off for a 1/2h dose (DH snoring, cats asleep on my legs, weird dreams about a work collegue [same one as on the wooden kitchen table] feeding carrots to a horse and floods in a hotel mean I've not slept well.

Fryn · 05/10/2011 10:01

oiesha I had a tipping incident when I was pg last time - I'd just filled my little pot in the loos at the hospital, and I obviously hadn't locked the door fully, when some bloke barged into my cubicle (in the ladies' loos!) I was so shocked I dropped the pee pot on the floor and it went everywhere. And then I had to down a bottle of water and try again. Not one of my better moments.

addictediam · 05/10/2011 10:35

Yummy, pregnancy is one time you shouldnt be focused on being thin. If my dh 'lovingly requested' me to work out I'd tell him where to stick it! (then I'd 'lovingly remind him why i am so 'fat') Also you arent ment to be working out any more than pre pg, and also be taking it alot easier.
Bloating, water retention, baby and generally needing to eat more are going to make you look bigger than you are.

miamama09 · 05/10/2011 10:42

ugh, is anyone else finding it seriously hard to be motivated in work? my manager is off again, and I have soooo much work to do, that requires a lot of effort. But I keep putting it off everyday, I know it's still there needing to be done, but I just can't bring myself to do it.

Not doing any working out, besides the odd day at the weekend stripping wallpaper, painting, and getting organised! after which my arms are killing me.

fishandlilacs · 05/10/2011 10:46

mia I'm totally non motivated too, work is soo tough, and because 50% of my working day is at WAH, i'm getting very behind. I'm not even motivated to get the house organised. I have spent the last week or so simply feeling bloody rubbish. I'm just so tired all the time. I am waking up tired and going to bed tired. I'm taking iron and a muti vit, I'm eating healthily and well and I think i'm sleeping ok but I just have zero energy.
