I only did it a test this morning and have not even told my husband yet!

Hi rhubarbgarden and Dorris83, and congratulations. I hope I haven't missed any other newbs.

I have had exactly the same as you Northey since Friday night. It's mostly subsided now and I have been feeling much sicker over the last few days which, though hideous, is also reassuring.

I know what you mean Dorris about staring at the computer and breathing slowly. And I think my colleagues are going to start to suspect when they see me mainlining M&S Cheese Tasters like I did last time.

We had a little chat about names but we don't have any we're sure of like last time. DH has suggested a couple which got this look from me. We've agreed to make a list and see what the baby looks like when it comes out. I said I won't make any decisions while still in the delivery room though. Last time DH took advantage of my weakened state and got me to agree to a middle name, which I didn't want to bother with.

We definitely don't want to know the sex though. The moment we found out last time was so special I don't want to do it any differently. We need to keep the shopping to a minimum anyway so there's no practical advantages to knowing.

Thinking of names already? Crumbs! DP is too depressed about the whole thing to even talk about it. He won't talk about names 'til it comes although he wants to find out the sex so he is prepared for the disappointment of a 3rd girl.

Bollocks. Ectopic. Hospital found me an instant bed and am now just waiting for a slot for them to operate and remove the pregnancy, with or without the tube.

Bad news from me too, had mc last night, scan today confirmed everything. Don't even know what to do with myself.

Northey - I am so sorry to hear your :( news, but surprised they found you an instant bed, when my friend had an EP she was sent home to await a natural miscarriage. Hope everything goes well and you recover physically and emotionally soon

My scan seems so far away now, still nervous and clinging to feeling yucky as hope!

I'm so so sorry to hear of the bad news on this thread. There are no words that don't sound empty :( so sad :(

Well I feel like a heartless arse for waltzing in with my good news but I had my scan at 5.30 this evening. Was saying earlier in the thread that due to a sudden cessation of symptoms I was panicking and imagining a MMC same as COD was...

Went for the scan and I'm exactly 7 weeks by my dates and the scan confirmed the same...to the day!

Saw a heart beat... Baby looked like a long sausage, no distinguishing features just a sausage but a very definite area moving up and down rhythmically that was a heart beat. Then the Dr turned on the sound and I heard boom boom boom at top speed! So she put my chance of MC from this point on down at 5% which is a huge relief I feel so much happier

About my lack of symptoms she said that some women have no symptoms at all, some have it really bad and some like me suddenly stop having any but it's all in the realms of normal.

So everyone who has a wait until a scan don't worry and don't symptom spot because there is no right answer!

Sorry again if parading my good news is insensitive right now but I promised an update after the scan
