Well.... we have a third girl! Everything the right size, shape and place, bang on schedule (to the day - assuming my vague guess at date of LMP is correct Blush). And I got me some ammo against the thrush too (hooray!)

Whoever was talking about cooler bump - yes, that goes for me too - as does the baby unwilling to "perform" under hand pressure or warmth. She (!) moves about most when I'm slouched back in a chair. But my others were like that too, especially DD1 - DD2 just wriggled all the time.

butterfly Gz ont he baby girl! Grin

fish I hope you get some tooth relief soon. Can't believe the slackness of some of the antenatal services in the UK. It's a very quick form to fill in and can easily be done in the booking apt, as they're already gathering that info at the time.

Ghost I'm not convinced there is a grown-up way to do a handstand...

makescakes >. We ended up getting a full-body one as Yolkis was on her head. I think I put it on my profile earlier if anyone wants to see an upside-down alien.

Was singing to Yolkis earlier. She either really likes, or really hates "The Eagles". Admittedly not my usual music taste, was just playing on my iPod as I was going through town singing (I do get some very odd looks, walking along singing, patting my belly). At least it wasn't Alice Cooper's "I love the dead" or the Divinyls "I touch myself" (don't ever try singing that at a group of old ladies...).

So, me and DH were doing the proverbial nasty earlier and I got these werid stomach twitches...like whole-bump twitches every 1/2 second or so...VERY offputting for me....anyone else had this?

Oeisha · 02/09/2011 21:08

WOOOHHOOOO!!! Just won an ebay bid on a Baby Bjorn carrier...for about 1/2 usual price...just hoping it's all there, all working and the likes...

hahaha oiesha, I remember the baby being very active during the deed when we were having dd. Lots of jumping about in there, I think that maybe sex makes the uterus contract and the baby can feel it. So much for feeling like thiere is a voyeur in the room.

Congrats on a good scan and a wee girlie for you butterfly it occured to me today that I have a fair few bags of girlie stuff to get rid of now. have to start aquiring blue stuff with tractors on it!!

We really tried last night me and DH, had nice baths, went to bed but nada, we have lovely naked cuddles and chats but no nookie , humph. Never mind, the cuddles were lovely anyway and that sort of intimacy is just as important.

My dd woke up at 5,40 this morning gnnnnn. She was not going back to sleep no way no how. but she has been absolutely gorgeous, I have had so many cuddles and I love you mummy and what we call "kiss bombs". She is a lovely girl and not normally given to bursts of affection, so this has been worth the early call.

Shes a huge fan of the show deadly 60 on cbbc and they are doing a live roadshow in nov at monkey forest staffordshire. Just looking into hte logistics of going there, it's an hour and half away and it starts at 9am! it's marginally closer to granma's though but only by half an hour, just dont know what to do for the best. She would utterly love it!

Hello everyone!

I've been so busy at work this week. A colleague left two years ago and I took over her role but she was a grade higher than me. HR have decided it's too long and the role now needs to be properly advertised. I spent all last weekend writing my application form. On the plus side, if I get the job, I'll get a promotion.

Congratulations to all those having scans, it's such an exciting moment!

redhead I only started feeling any kicks at 20-21 weeks. I remember on holiday (at about 18-19 weeks) having half a can of coke (after no caffeine) thinking ice, sugar caffeine, this will get them moving! It didn't. It's only now at 21+6 weeks that I can feel kicks a couple of times a day. My midwife said don't tell them about not being able to feel kicks until after 24 weeks, so I think we're OK until then.

Chocamum I've tried those egg replacements but didn't get on well with them. I made a victoria sponge but it came out like a huge biscuit.

ghost Hope things work out with your cat, that sounds annoying!

parsley I'm having a similar 'cold' issue as you and I'm still in wired bras. I've gone up to an F so I really need the support. I found M&S a bit useless, but Bravissimo were great if there's one near you.

Have definitely got the startings of a cold this morning, tickly nose, sore throat and feeling like I'm not quite with it. Boo. :(

mummyzoe2012 · 03/09/2011 10:25

shonnomanom · 03/09/2011 10:34

Congrats on your baby girl butterfly!
moobee good luck with the job
fish your dd sounds very cute

I had a very strange dream last night.
Baby started trying to push arms and legs out of my belly, pushing really quite far, my skin had got really stretchy. Then almost instantly the baby slipped out of me, I wasnt even in labour yet. For being born at 23 weeks baby was very healthy and paramedics decided she didnt even need to go to hospital. We decided to name our baby girl Rebecca(not a name we have ever spoke about). As I hadnt went into labour yet I was told to stay at home until I had passed the placenta. But the family were worried that I wouldnt make it to the party that they were organising for that afternoon to celebrate Rebecca arriving so early and being so healthy.

The dream left me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside this morning .

Hope your all well x

fishandlilacs · 03/09/2011 11:17

oooh shonna what a funny weird dream-quite cool though.

ParsleyLion1 · 03/09/2011 11:20

What a strange - but nice - dream :)

My dream mind seems to have tried to have a sex dream last night and failed. I got propositioned by Robin van Persie and I TURNED HIM DOWN! I can't even get any in my dreams.... so unfair.

Oeisha · 03/09/2011 13:55

Parsley Lol! Know the feeling. My lack of actual sucess yesterday turned in to a night of steamy dreams but with no happy ending. V. frustrating.

shonno Funny dream indeed.

Both your dreams are better than the other one I remember from last night which was frankly a nightmare and involved hyenas slowly ripping bits of a still very much alive bison. Beginning to think my mind's not right.

moobee I seriously hope you don't get the cold I'm just getting rid of...it's been a bloody pain. Snot everywhere. So tired. Massive headache. Only paracetamol, manuka and tea sucks....I usually drug myself through them if I can.

fish I'm used to fury spectators in the room...seriously, my cats have no common sense. One of our old cats even attacked my DH as apparently I was moaning too much and he thought DH was hurting me! So it wasn't even the thought of Yolkis knowing what was going on.
But the frequency and (I want to say violence, but it wasn't violent) err, strength and rhythm of my belly wobbling was just 'MEH'. Had a pre-pg 'food baby' as it was, I just felt like Homer (Simpsons) did when they did the 'tuning fork on the belly' and it kept wobbling. Might have to frisk DH again later and see of the same thing happens.

fishandlilacs · 03/09/2011 15:23

Ow ow ow

I have a pain deep and low down in my belly-just above my pubis on the left hand side. It hurts. if it's still there monday i'm going to get checked out. I fear a water infection.

shonnomanom · 03/09/2011 16:13

Pregnancy certainly does weird things to the body and certainly the mind!
Hope your ok Fish, try just resting for a while and see if it calms down
I think I have a trapped nerve somewhere between where my knicker line ends and my inner left leg starts. It fricken hurts and is making me limp. Sad Apart from that this is the best iv felt in a week due to the evil PGP
