Thanks redhead sexy dreams, what sexy dreams! It does not help that dd wakes up in the night sometimes and disturbes my dreams. No i have mostly weird ones Smile

redheadbedhead · 30/08/2011 22:40

me too on the weird ones, but some of these ladies have been ... ahem.... of Mister Gary Barlow whilst sleeping. Among other men..

Spagbolagain · 30/08/2011 22:52

I don't have to be sleeping to be dreaming of Gary Barlow..........

pigletmania · 30/08/2011 22:56

lol Gary Barlow, now who do I like. Ahhh the doctors from Nip/Tuck especially Sean Mcnamara and Tom Welling from Smallville Smile

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 31/08/2011 07:22

I had a dream that I was breastfeeding sproglet on a boat - go figure. It took to it straight away - obviously loves its grub like its daddy :D

ParsleyLion1 · 31/08/2011 08:40

Morning :)

No sexy dreams for me but last night I dreamt that Jordan gave me some advise on the best comfortable shoes to buy for a long day at work - definitely odd... they were navy suede with a big fat heel.

Oeisha · 31/08/2011 08:44

Welcome Piglet!
Can't say I'm a fan of Gary Barlow...but then some very not-my-types appear in my dreams (Jenson for one) so who knows!
My alarm woke me from a rather good dream so I'm a bit grr! But also pleased as I'm gonna nip over the road for my scan in a few (it's literally 5mins walk away). Like I said before, not that wound up about it, which is very unlike me. This cold has a LOT to answer for. I'm even considering a sick day as I've now sneezed my abdomen tender.
Was just reading the Flu Jab thread...forgot all about that! Think I'll go for it as, well, I seem to be getting colds like they're going out of fashion, so don't want to risk it.
Righty, I'll let you know what happens later...
GL fish...if it is you...

ghosteditor · 31/08/2011 08:53

Good luck with the scan Oeisha. I normally have the flu jab but didn't last year as I was too busy to arrange it. Lo and behold, I came down with properly awful flu (and yes I know the difference!) sometime in March I think. Fully, fully awful. Would definitely want to avoid that while pg/ looking after a newborn. Needless to say, I'll be making time for the jab this year!

GiraffeAHolic · 31/08/2011 08:58

Eurgh not enough time spent sleeping last night for weird dreams. Dh is away so I don't sleep soundly as it is.

Checked on Dd when I went to bed and mopped up puddle on her floor (she hasn't wet at night for weeks Hmm) then read for an hour, got up about midnight for a gaviscon fix, then the cat kept me awake by jumping in and out of the bedroom window and dive-bombing the bed, I shut the window so then he did the claws down the window pane trick.

Went to sleep about 3, woke up for toilet about 4, then Dd appeared at 4;45. Let her in bed with me (which I never do) but she wouldn't be still or quiet so frogmarched her to her bed to discover that she'd wet through the bed. Cue bed changing and frantic sheet hunting.

She then got up for the day at 6 Sad

I am like a zombie this morning, got asda delivering between 9 and 11 so had to shower and dress,

Eurgh

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 31/08/2011 08:59

Are we allowed to get the 'flu jab when pregnant then? Hrmm, will ring my doctors. Think I'll wait till I have a clear week though as usually have a pretty crummy reaction to the jab and could do with a clear week to feel sorry for myself recover.

MakesCakesWhenStressed · 31/08/2011 09:01

Much love and sympathy to Giraffe - what a gruesome night. Big hugs and be nice to yourself today.

Forgot to wish oeisha and anyone else having a scan good luck today.

Nanny01 · 31/08/2011 09:14

Oh Giraffe- just sounds an awful night made worse with out any support. How long is your other half away for? I had a pretty wrestles night over money worries that have been dumped on us and this morning can't remember my telephone or banking information. So frustrated. Now will have to go through all my draws to find the information I need.

supadupapupascupa · 31/08/2011 09:32

woohoo! physio appointment tomorrow! They rang straight back! :-D

ParsleyLion1 · 31/08/2011 09:33

Good luck with today's scans :)

and welcome to the newbies :)

redheadbedhead · 31/08/2011 10:06

Morning everyone.

Giraffe and Nanny I too had a shitty night - OH snoring and kicking me and generally rolling around, and then he got up to wee at 6 and I couldn't sleep again after that. Angry got a long recording session tonight as well that doesn't finish until 10pm, so won't be in bed til 11.30..... grrrr

he, of course, slept like a log, and doesn't understand why I'm so grumpy!!

good luck scanners! Smile

Fryn · 31/08/2011 10:32

Morning all!

giraffe - aww, love the blue kangaroo! Feeling less love for your rotten night. Makes me want to keep DD in nappies for a few years more!

oiesha - great shower story - made me laugh out loud. Good luck with the scan and hope you feel less grotty soon.

redhead - I sympathise. My DH gets up to wee more often than I do. Luckily he's away this week, so it's just DD keeping me awake instead of both of them.

My lovely lovely mum called last night to say they'd like to pay for DD1 to have an extra day at nursery a week while I'm on maternity leave, which will just be fabulous. I adore DD and we have a lovely time together, but I know she'll get bored at home with me and the baby, despite my best plans to take her to lots of groups and do things with her. I suspect my mini-meltdown on Sunday was the trigger for this! Anyway, I was so grateful I cried. Also partly because I already feel like a failure knowing I won't cope with 2 of them on my own all week. Damn these hormones!

Ooh, and welcome newbies!

Oeisha · 31/08/2011 10:44

'ello all!

giraffe what a night! Hopefully you'll get a better night's sleep tonight.
supa great! Hopefully they physio will give you some relief.

Scan went well. I have an anterior placenta, which explains why I can't feel very much kicking at the front. Yolkis was on her head! HER!!! Yes, we went for it and we're team PINK!!! With the usual caveats. Def no boys bits visable and 3 lines were there. Don't know why I'm surprised really. I guess I'd kinda not minded either way, but wanted a girl for MIL (various reasons) so had prerapred for a boy, but really had no personal preference. Got more concrete boys names and had everyone telling me I'm having a boy ("you're very round and round", "still being sick, must be a boy" blah blah blah, inc, Mum who was surprisingly underwhelmed at the 'girl' news). DH is keen to name Yolkis so I guess we'll be spending the evening discussing names. Where did I put the book with names I liked?...

There was what I'd call a 'weird lump' on the scan, but sonographer wanted to go away with it and have another look, just to check, but thought it was nothing "Don't expect to hear from me" - she mentioned something about a random placental lobe, but wasn't sure. So no doubts I'll get anxious about that. As well as the referal I now have to have to anaesthesiologist as I had a premed reaction when I was 6y/o. Not worried about that at the moment, they've always just never given me the pre-op sedative and opted to go straight in for the barbs.

I'd better go email my family with the scan pics, and then I'm off back to bed. Feel fecking terrible (tummy's now upset too).

Fryn · 31/08/2011 11:02

Congrats Oeisha! Girls are lovely.

Totally off topic, but make me realise what I want to do with my afternoon... www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/gallery/2011/aug/30/post-it-wars-pictures#/?picture=378423950&index=0

fishandlilacs · 31/08/2011 11:29

Morning all, welcome newbies, congrats on scan oiesha a ickle dd for you, how cool. Hope the weird bump turns out to be nothing and doesn't cause you too much worry.

ta da dadadadada were having a boy! very definately a boy, the "equipment" was quite clear to see by all and sundry! I spotted it before the senographer it was that obvious. Everything is fine, brain all there, heart all there, bones look good and strong. The only thing is he is feckin huge-I don't do small babies but DD was within the centile. This one is running along the top of all the centiles. The abdomen was off the scale but the senographer did say babies bladder was full.

I really hope I haven't got gestational diabetes. Still it's just another good arguement for them to allow me a ELCS. I'm not worried.

Oeisha · 31/08/2011 11:41

Yay! Congrats too fish! A boy! Though you were my fellow scan dater. I measured at 19+6...but we're not changing my due dates. She said I was bang on for that otherwise. Here's hoping you don't have GD too...

Thanks guys Grin!

fryn what a lovely thing for your parents to do! Also, loving the post-its!

Someone's added a thread on pg forums about Jan babies...so I've pointed them in this direction (with a few others), so we might be getting a few more newbs! Grin

Holy crap I'm tired now. Must sleep.

TTYLxxx

redheadbedhead · 31/08/2011 11:58

Nice to hear about your babies ladies! How lovely!

I have just been on the phone for yet another half hour trying to wring a bloody scan date out of my hospital without success and feel like crying Sad It was like something out of Catch 22. I am now 19+3. I am FURIOUS!!!!!!

Fryn · 31/08/2011 12:07

redhead I just can't believe it's the same hospital I'm at (well, I sort of can...) but that is so rubbish. Have you spoken to your MW about it? She should be able to do something, surely? Otherwise speak to you doctor, demand to transfer to Homerton and they'll probably fit you in quicker!

fish congratulations! Gosh, he certainly sounds strapping. I'd definitely be pushing for the sunroof option given that!

shonnomanom · 31/08/2011 13:10

Welcome newbies! Congratulations on your bundles of joy. We have a seperate thread to keep our list on as it is pretty long. Please add yourselves, its in due date order.

Congrats on the pink and big blue scans ladies! And congrats to all the others with good news this week. Loving the funny stories, blue kangaroos and shower pj's - priceless ladies!

I really like the name Elliot, cant help but think of Elliot in Scrubs when I hear the name. We are no where near deciding on names. But not to worry - legally we have 23 weeks left to name this baby. (due in 18week, could go 2 weeks over and Scottish law is baby must be registered within 3weeks of birth)

Anyway, yes PGP(Pelvic Girdle Pain) is the new name. Ouch!
Saw MW today who confirmed what the doctor had said and gave me the correct number to book physio. Maternity Physio cant fit me in until Tuesday. MW checked out baby and we heard the HB again Smile, it sounded like a helicopter rather than train or horse Hmm She strongly advised to stay off the cocodamol unless I was really struggling to move. I love feeling Bobby move but love not being in pain. Cant have both as cocodamol makes baby drowsy. Will let you all know how it goes on Tuesday.

hope your all well
Sho x
Oh PS, had a sexy dream about OH last night - good times! Grin

knittiekitty · 31/08/2011 13:30

Congrats on scan results ladies and hi to new ladies too!

Fryn - funny link, don't they have enough work to do?!

I hope you can nap Giraffe or at least head off early with warm milk tonight to knock out with. I hate being so tired all the time and lack of sleep makes me feel irrational - this bubba is going to be a good sleeper, I've already made a deal with her! Poor Sho PGP sounds awful, I hope the physio can help you to minimise it. Can it be fixed or will you have to wait it out?

Spider season appears to have arrived here, I'm stupidly phobic but trying not to pass it on to dd (I remember my mum shrieking at them) and this morning had to cheerfully trap an enormous one under the ironing water jug. The spindly ones I can ignore but the one this morning left me feeling shaky. I think it had tattoos it was that big, and it's still on the landing waiting for dh to set it free tonight .

mumnosbest · 31/08/2011 14:19

Congrats on all your scans. Just a little jealous as mine isn't untill 29th Sep Envy
I'm just taking a break from being devoted super mum while the DCs are in the garden. I've been so crabby with them this week and for no reason. I'm amazed at how many names you've all got for your bumps. Ours is beany-baby as that's how it looked in in the first scan.
