Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

fish Happy Birthday to your DD! Grin
Yep, it's bloody freezing. Resting my hands on the laptop to keep them warm. Will make a HWB after dinner if I'm not warmer. Was being a mean 'boss' at work today and telling the cold ones they just plain weren't working hard enough if they were cold...well, they weren't. Had they been, I may have been more synpathetic.

BigHotMama · 29/08/2011 19:20

Bloody freezing here in the midlands too! But I found myself dithering on the nights in Tenerife so think I'm feeling the cold more since becoming pg?? Or maybe I'm just wierd.

Happy birthday to your dd fish sounds like you had a nice day, it's lovely having august baby as get to spend the day with them as off school Grin

Well am shattered after a hectic weekend of gigs and late nights hardly had any time to sit and relax, missed patting my belly and feeling smurf moving so made up for it today by chilling out with dh and ds watched ice age 3 again.

I too have furry belly but am known as the hairy beast by friends as have manly hair which grows from belly button to pubic area Blush

Starting to look pg now as belly popped from nowhere it's much bigger this time and today it feels like it's weighing me down.

Counting down days for scan on 12th sep so excited!

Hope all you ladies are well x

fishandlilacs · 29/08/2011 19:23

Oooh i have just had the most exciting phonecall. A friend of mine has just told me she is pregnant. She lost one last year though some awful circs.

I am busting with excitement and nerves for her, I had a little weep when she told me. I am keeping everything crossed that this one is fine. She can't be that unlucky twice surely.

fishandlilacs · 29/08/2011 19:24

Midlands here too bighot

Wormshuffler · 29/08/2011 19:46

I'm East Midlands :) also with a furry belly

BigHotMama · 29/08/2011 19:48

Great news about your friend fish it's always nice to have a pg friend to talk babies to. Which part of midlands are you? I'm from the 'black country' near west bromwich.

I was welling up throughout x factor at the weekend which is so not me I'm normally likely to shout stop crying at the tv ha! Fancying the pants off Gary Barlow what a dish.

Did somebody mention wacky dreams? I'm waking up in embarrassment most mornings after shagging random men I know Blush Blush

BigHotMama · 29/08/2011 19:49

(Waves to) worm, are you leicester way?

Oeisha · 29/08/2011 20:14

Hey midlanders! I'm juuuuust Midlands with Buxton, but closer to Mancs and Sheffield than most of the Midlands. I always say I'm techinically Midlands, but up a bit and then up a big hill... Lived in Mansfield for a bit and uni'd in Loughborough, so I think I must just like the Midlands.
BHM I'm having those dreams too, though rarely feel embarrased as they're so frequent, just more frequent during pg. Or ones where ramdon people are ating cake...lots and lots of giant cakes (if only I wanted to eat them...gone off 'em)...or ones where I'm hitting people across the head with hammers...

fishandlilacs · 29/08/2011 20:18

Youre fairly close to us then Bighot-worcester.

Wormshuffler · 29/08/2011 20:20

(Waves back) to bighot across rutland, Im about 30 miles from Leicester.
Speaking of wacky dreams and Gary Barlow in the same post reminds me I had a sex dream about him the other night! He was gooood Wink

fishandlilacs · 29/08/2011 20:23

I have a pain in my nipple-my right nipple an ouchy stabby pain that makes me want to squeeze/rub my nip til it goes away. Sorry if TMI.

sex dreams here too, david walliams again the other night. In life I do not think he is hot but in my dreams he's like sex on legs.

Wish my sex life were that good in real life, DH and I have done it precisely once since we concieved, i'm simply not bothered, too tired and sore. He's not bothered either though, bless him. I'm hoping the pregnancy horn will kick in soon. I mean were not frequent fliers or anything like that, we never have been that prolific but this is a drought!

mummyzoe2012 · 29/08/2011 20:53

i too have tummy hair, starts from just below the rib cage all the way to bikkini line, baby seams to be getting a bit more active, but im needing to have an afternoon nap now, sleeping for about 3 hours all the time, im 19 weeks and am not feeling proper kicks or the 2nd trimester engergy im ment to be, any one else the same?

Oeisha · 29/08/2011 21:04

mummyzoe
2nd trimester bounce = big fat myth.
Naps rule. I'm trying to get them to intriduce siestas at work.
I'm not getting proper 'kicks' more like Yolkis is just flying about in there and bouncing off things, plus what I imagine people are calling 'fluttering' and 'bubbles'. Figured, at 19wks Yolkis is about 6 inches, so probably not gonna feel hooves or punches yet.

fish nipple pains: could just be your ducts stretching (it's a stabbing pain), it's worse for me when I'm cold, so keep 'em warm! (not easy today). If you see any change in the nipple shape or texture, you can feel a lump, or you get discharge, or it lasts for longer than a day (continuously) I'd show it to a doctor. My stabbings come and go, but can last up to about 40mins at a whack. I sometimes wear a non-wired bra to bed to keep the buggers still too (I'm now a JJ and it's not as easy as it sounds to keep them controlled at night). Got loads of lumps and stabbings and strains as a teenager that suffered rapid boob growth (4 sizes in 4 months - ouch)...and this feels exactly like that stretching.

shonnomanom · 29/08/2011 21:13

Very well done to Nanny's DH!!!
Happy Birthday DD Fish! What great news for your friend, fx for a long and healthy pregnancy for her x

Oh the dreams! Weird and wacky and sometimes kinky Wink Danno from Hawaii Five-O has been a frequent flier. Not as ashamed at that as I was with the kinky dreams about my childhood sweetheart when expecting DD. Obviously didnt tell OH about THOSE dreams!

Yesterday was freezing here but today has been quite pleasant. The weather has been the only good thing about today really! Sad

Had an awful afternoon at work with a child who wants everything done for him and I refuse to play to it. He has DS and is capable of alot of things but he pretends he isnt to make his family run after him - which of course they do. Angry THAT and Iv been so restricted by this ache no, pain in my pelvis that im close to tears and paracetamol is as powerful as smarties. Got to settle DD into her first day at nursery tommorrow so will get to the doctor on Wednesday.

Hope your all well, sorry for the long post
Sho x

Ps Sex life? Whats that?

BigHotMama · 29/08/2011 22:34

Oiesha lol at being a technical midlander love it!
Your dreams sound proper wacky lol made me laugh re hitting people with hammers ha!

Fish your not far at all over in worcs, some gorgeous places in worcs whereabouts do you live?

Think we may be able to organise a Midlands meet up seems to be a few on here wahey Grin

Worm, very Envy of your dirty dream with Gary Barlow sounds lush.

Mummyzoe I wish I could get to sleep tried this afternoon but my ds kept telling me to wake up so I could watch him play on the wii, think he enjoys having an audience. Hope you start to feel more energised soon.

Shonna have you not had a bank holiday off work today? Lol at the non existent sex lives, I was just getting into a bit of nooky since start of my holidays until got another bout of thrush last week now I'm off it again to the disappointment of my randy dh.

fishandlilacs · 29/08/2011 22:49

stretchy ducts makes sense. I am waiting for anorder for non wired bras to come, hopefully next week I think.

mummyzoe2012 · 29/08/2011 22:55

if i dnt have a sleep i end up fainting due to lack of energy its sort of my control method when i start to feel sick too go for a "lie down" as dp suggest then the next thing i know he is waking up saying ive had 3 hours and im not having any more and to get up. going to help my freind decorate her new house on wedensday that should be fun, will see how long i last there doubt it will be that long. got my mum comming round tomorrow afternoon to see all the baby stuff ive got she lives about 10 mins away in the car and has not been round in nearly 5 months as she has blood clots on her lungs so will be nice to see her in my home rather than just hers all the time, has anyone thought about a 4d scan we are getting one when dp gets his pay out from work as his shairs are being bought out so nice little lumper ther to pay off a few debt before baby comes along which will mean ive got more reasons not to go back to work after baby is born.

has anyone else been off on the sick loads with sickness and other complications, ive been off for about 11 weeks and doc said he wants me off for a additional 2 weeks as im still struggling to keep food down and till they do my scan to check baby is ok after my contact with the fil2b as he has shingles and decided not to tell us till we were round there and when dp told him it could of hurt the baby he turned round and said so, not my child i dnt care.

Sorry for long post!

BigHotMama · 29/08/2011 23:03

Shock at your fil2b mummyzoe?? How rude and careless?

We are hoping to have a 4d scan at around 29 weeks if we can afford it, we had one with ds and it was a wonderful experience lots of time during scan and we had a DVD and quite a few pics. Not sure how much they cost these days I remember paying £140 in 2006.

Mum2be79 · 30/08/2011 08:30

I'm back from my holidays in Madeira. I haven't read the many, many pages that have been written on yet.
Alls good here. 22 weeks and 2 days today. Peanut thinks it's a good idea to somersault for 5 hours straight beginning at 4am - EVERY MORNING! Wondering if this is a sign of our 'night-time routine'!
So if there is any important news anyone can fill me in on, I'd be most grateful! xx

fishandlilacs · 30/08/2011 08:41

Welcome back mum2b hope you had a good one. I don't think there been much to report other than we are now aware of a few team pinks, team blues and team yellows. Theres now a stats page for us seperately to the thread where folks are updating their flavour of baby. I#m sure someone will be able to privide a link for you-I cant find it right now as I'm just popping in to wave hello on my way out to work.

Talk topics have been nappies, 4d scans, changing bags and sex dreams :)

Scan tmrw for me, I cannot wait. I'm really looking fwd to it. It's soppy, I know, but DH and I are going for coffee in the morning before hand and I cannot wait for that too. Nice for us to have a bit of time together without the 4 yr old in tow.

The last 3 days my morning sickness seems to have set up again. It's very weird. I'm not being sick but i'm definitaley nauseaous. I haven't had any since week 14 and here I am at wk 21.

supadupapupascupa · 30/08/2011 08:59

another midlander here Grin Lincoln to be precise.

back still killing! a bit worried this is gonna continue and get worse until baby is born Sad

mummyzoe that is bloody awful!!!!

BigHotMama · 30/08/2011 09:02

Hi mum2b hope you had a lovely holiday. It took me ages to catch
up after my hols that I had to give up in the end as around 10 pages Shock

Fish I have had the nausea come back last few mornings felt awful and had to eat breakfast pretty quickly not sure how long it's going to last but mine had gone since week 15 it's just yuk!

BigHotMama · 30/08/2011 09:07

Hi supadupa my friend lives in Bolton lincs are you near there? Hope you get back sorted soon have you been to docs or specialist?

BigHotMama · 30/08/2011 09:07

Oops think I should have said Boston??

greenlady78 · 30/08/2011 09:20

Once again I had to disappear due to work and you guys are really super prolific! Trying to get to grips with all the news and just amazed by how many of you already know if you are team pink or blue! Smile

Ha, I had fun reading about the naughty dreams, thought I was the only one Blush Thanks for making me feel better Wink

fish good luck with scan tomorrow, are you hoping to see if it is a boy or girl? bighotmama I also have my scan on the 12th and ca't hardly wait!!!!

Just found my last post and realised mostly agreed the intrusion of photographers just after you had the baby is not the nicest thing...so I'm now prepared to just shut the door before they come in, ha!

Hoping everyone is feeling great this fine, cold morning! xxx
