Right here's our new thread.

So who's going to be first for an early Christmas present then?

Crshing from due in Dec, due date is 31st, so might well be Jan! Have been here before but not for ages, hope everyone is well, sounds like theres a few ladies with more symptons than me!! i am on strict instructions now for baby to come after boxing day! Have had BH and cramps on and off since Tuesday, but no sho or waters going, so i think its just practise runs!
Will be in and out today to check in and up with you peeps. Merry crissie and happy new year in case i dont get to say it laters xx

OhTickletownofbethlehem · 24/12/2005 09:27

hi gals - ooh chuffed!! If it was a show hope things are progressing... nothing worse than hanging round wondering!

Iris stretchmarks. But dh sounds like he's very proud of you

No snow here, altho it may be coming boxing day. dh's birthday today, so did bkfst & prezzies in bed with the kids - very sweet. He's off now with dd2 to see his parents, then we have small lunch here, church then it's dancing round the Chritmas tree & presents etc from about 6pm over in SIL's house. I'm not very big on huge family gatherings (having 2 cousins of my own in the whole world!) so will probably sneak off for a rest at some point! WE'll then do the English traditions on the a small scale tomorrow - stockings, few more prezzies etc.

Lots of love & Christmas wishes to everyone

Love and Happy Christmas to all of you I am planning on a very relaxed day, no kids today. Might even make it to a cosy pub later for a drink - nice to spend some time with dp.

Chuffed - it looks like you will be first!

Iris - I had exactly the same stretchmarks at about 36 weeks with ds1 - I have to say that they did fade and although they 'give' a little bit with each pregnancy they don't look too bad now - battlescars of motherhood!

Lyra - I think I'll have to sit through 3 hrs of king kong next week!

GeorgiePorgieCHRISTMASpuddinga · 24/12/2005 12:45

Hello hello hello. Happy Christmas Eve

Hope everyone having a wonderful day.

Chuffed - any news? Am sooo excited for you.

Have been getting BH (or contractions?!?) on and off for the last day. Last night they were v painful and today they seem to come and go. DH is in Cumbria - 6 hour drive away - seeing his poorly mummy. Just my luck if I go into labour and he gets stuck in a traffic jam on the M6....or pulled over by the police for speeding . Am sure it's just BH though.

Ma, Pa and my bro are with me. Bloody brill to see my bro again after him being away for a year.

December chicks - welcome to the Jan thread. Glad to have you on board - even if you're not !

Lyra - think I got your DD and Iris's DD mixed up. Withdraw comments about boys/baseball bats etc. Doh. Not really relevant for a 10 year old. Sorry >

BIG Christmas wishes to you all. Have a wonderful time with your families.

All love

G xx

PS - I think we've all been good enough for Santa to come and visit us tonight!

wewishyouamerryKITTYmas · 24/12/2005 17:55

Merry Christmas everyone, all sorted now house sparkling, soup made, DDs pressies ready to go, food all there! Very excited now!

Chuffed - where are you I will be very if Santa brings you a baby although had a bit of a scare myself then decided I refuse to have a baby on Christmas day! Had lovely aromatherapy bath instead.

Georgie - hope your DH has a safe journey home.

Have a lovely day everyone!

OhTickletownofbethlehem · 24/12/2005 20:28

hi girls - just sneaked away from the party to put dd2 to bed, then my mum will come over & babysit til we bring the bigger ones home. dd2 was amazing, she's got a heavy cold, but was partying with the best of them! A very social little thing

Lovely evening - children (all 11 cousins) very pleased with their presents - our dd1 didn't seem to notice that there wasn't a big present from us, but I will explain tomorrow. Others just coming in, so will sign off, but Merry Christmas everyone!

Happy Christmas. Hope you're all having a wonderful day.

Chuffed - any news?

Best bit of the day will be calling DD.

Merry Christmas one and all!

Chuffed - desperate to hear from you, but guessing you might be rather busy atm, with one thing and another!

we've had a lazy morning so far, ds awake at 3am but back to sleep till 5:30, when he woke dd and they did stockings tog. i got up about 7, followed by dh, and after croissants with ham and cheese about 8:30 we did more pressies. the house is littered with paper and pressies in the trad way, and the mw is coming tomorrow to check me! o well, maybe i'll persuade someone to clear up by then!!!

just a quickie as ds desperate to get on to download something to his new psp, and i want to take the dog for a walk.

love to all,

Lyra

Eshay · 25/12/2005 21:40

Happy Christmas to one and all. We've had a nice day with lots of food and no heartburn. We went to my parents-in-law so no cooking or mess around our house. They always make me take a nap after lunch while they do the dishes too so it's been as nice a day as you could wish for, really. No dancing around a tree but various gifts from family in NZ and in Holland so we felt very loved. There was a even a pressie for the new baby from B&SIL. It was the last Christmas with DH's parents in the UK, they are moving back to NZ in March so it was a bit sad at the same time, knowing this would be their last Christmas with us and DS for quite a while probably.

Chuffed, we're all thinking of you. Of course nothing might be happening but it sure could be after your possible show! How exciting! I was having all sorts of cramps last night and was slightly worried they might be early contractions as I never had any natural contractions last time so I'm not sure how mild they are to begin with. Maybe I had just eaten too much as this morning it was all gone )and I was mighty relieved.)

Have a nice Boxing Day everyone!

Chuffingoodtime · 26/12/2005 08:56

Hi all,

Just a quick note from Chuffed's husband, she went into labour on Xmas day at 0530 and delivered at 1006. Baby arrived 3 weeks early (due Jan 16th) but is doing well. Chuffed has had a couple of bleeds so is still in hospital under close observation and will hopefully be out in a couple of days so will update you herself then.

somethingsexyandLYcRAinmystock · 26/12/2005 09:10

somethingsexyandLYcRAinmystock · 26/12/2005 09:12

So Chuffed is first!!!

Who's next?

LittleMissRACHEYXmasBigTits · 26/12/2005 09:12

Happy Christmas all! Wow - Chuffed and family, many congratulations Fantastic news. Can't wait to hear all the details! Here's to the first 'January' babe and a Christmas baby too! I hope all is well now and you're both home soon.

LittleMissRACHEYXmasBigTits · 26/12/2005 09:18

Lyra - can we rely on you to have a New Year babe please!

somethingsexyandLYcRAinmystock · 26/12/2005 09:52

Yes Rach

there's definitely nothing going on with me till the NY. feel very comfortable staying pg till then. tried to give myself a diy sweep in the shower this am, but couldn't even find my cervix, so can't see labour being imminent!!!

chIRIStmasfairybigpants · 26/12/2005 10:02

OMG!! IT'S STARTED !!!

Thanks for posting Chuffeds DH and please pass on our love to her! - Huge Congratulations to you both and, again, can't wait to hear all about it!

Mak · 26/12/2005 10:44

CONGRATULATIONS Chuffed - well done, look forward to all the details, you've made me go all emotional.
Hope you've all had a super Christmas, will catch up with you all later.

Eshay · 26/12/2005 10:51

Oh, Chuffed, Congratulations! And thanks to your DH for posting the news. My DH feels sorry for him: He's just had a baby and is sent home to post on Mumsnet! It's a bit of a reality check, reading that Chuffed's due date was 16 Jan as mine is only a few days later and I really don't think I have given the whole birth thing to omuch thought just yet. Call it denial... I'd better hurry up and get my hospital bag packed!

Chuffed, even though you are now a December mum you're always welcome to join our January post natal thread, as an honorary member! (Or we can all move to the December thread if more of us are keen to follow Chuffed's example

I wonder if Chuffed opened her Christmas presents in between contractions..?

Eshay · 26/12/2005 10:53

Ehrm...Iris, when you say "OMG, it's started" do you mean births in our January group or are you talking about contractions of your own???

santageorgeiscomingtotown · 26/12/2005 10:55

Just crashing across from the Dec thread to say a huge congratulations to Chuffed on her Christmas baby.

ChunkerXmasCake · 26/12/2005 11:06

Oh, congratulations, Chuffed! How lovely! Can't wait to hear all the details

I've got another growth scan on 30th and if there's no improvement in the abdominal circ of the baby, they're talking about inducing me...wonder whether I'll have a new baby too this time next week?!

Hope you all had fantastic Christmases - I didn't test my sugar levels at all yesterday because I didn't want to know Have been well-controlled though, so figured one day off wouldn't matter [hopeful]

So one January baby already - HOW exciting!

chIRIStmasfairybigpants · 26/12/2005 11:48

Eshay - lol - no - I've not started yet (bouts of BH still disabling me every few days though nothing more - yet!!) Just me getting overexcited about the fact that on of us Jan girls has popped!!

Hunker - I grazed in an Atkins-esque way so sugar wasn't too bad (still craving pince pies tho ) Hope the scan is OK. My LO had had a growth spurt at last scan so I may be in the same boat as you at my next appt on 5 Jan!!

OhTickletownofbethlehem · 26/12/2005 14:53

Congratulations Chuffed and family!!!

It's snowing here so dh's family is taking bets on whether we will have to phone for a tractor to get me to hosp, as Thurs & Fri are supposed to be v bad!! But bubs seems v comfy where he is, so nothing imminent here methinks...

Hope everyone is well - dying to hear more from NZ!!

T xx

GeorgiePorgieCHRISTMASpuddinga · 27/12/2005 10:06

Hi

Just logged on. What 'chuffing' good news for Chuffed and her family . Thanks to her DH for posting.

Can't wait to see pics, get all the details. Please post soon Chuffed.

It's just started snowing here. Lovely big snowflakes. And I've just had a complete emotional crying gag. Am missing DD like crazy (although she's home tomorrow) and am fed up of being sick every day and bloody BH keep kicking in and i get excited, then they go away and I'm left feeling deflated.....and DH at work so moping around by myself.

Sorry, Christmas cheer has deserted me today.

Will have stern talk with myself and stop being a Grinch . Ahhh, I know, will watch Lee Evans DVD, that'll make me laugh. Might even have some Angel Delight as elevenses . Sod the laundry, it can wait.

Oh and lovely little bro is taking his PC back tomorrow, so will be computer-less for a week or so until we can get another one.... thank god for credit card huh ....so can no-one have a baby until I'm back online please!

So, did everyone get some lovely pressies?

Lovely lovely DH has booked us into Babington House in Somerset for a romantic break in May. Bless him. Can't wait for some grown up action .
