Hello good idea from tomcat

What are all your xmas tips and recipes or stuff you're doing to get you thru the next fewdays/weeks to EDD's

I going to try and make a stocking to hang in the nursery for when my little lewis comes home and for the first time bake a christmas cake.

MASSSSSSIVE CONGRATULATIONS SH!!!!

wow shes back at home already!!!! Excellent news that means that all is ok doesnt it....? cant wait to hear from her, bet she cant believe its finally happened!

Well i slept a bit better last night only woke up twice instead of the hourly fiasco i have been doing, going to have a nice hot bath befoer the drive to Nottingham... not looking forward to that , but so looking forward to seeing fam and friends

Have to say i am not experiencing any BH or the pressure you lot are talking about, most i get is intermmitant kicks and punches, dont feel like i am about to give birth at all, i have a feeling that she wont woant to come out at all and will be a real lazy bugger!!

OK you all take care and if i get chance i will check in over the weekend, if not it will be Moinday, hugs to all!x

sweetheart · 08/12/2005 09:31

Morning ladies,

Well...here go's......

I went to hospital at 10.30 last night and after being monitered for a while (but receiving no internal examination) the mw told me to go home as my contractions were not regular or strong enough. We got home at about 12.30pm but on the way home the contractions had gotten stronger and closer together. The mw had said not to go back to hospital so I stuck it out at home.

After a very painful hour my waters went around 1.30 and I immediatly needed to push. My dh got me into the car (somehow) and drove like a formular one driver to the hospital. It's a good job it was the middle of the night as I was on my hands and knees in the car park trying to get a big enough break in contractions to get into the wheelcahir that was waiting for me when I arrived.

We got to the hospital about 2am - the mw's got me into the delivery room, took my trousers off and the baby was already crowning. A couple of pushes later and Luca Benjamin was born at 2.14am weighing 8Ib 2Oz.

And guess what - no stiches

We were home by 5.30am and my dd is loving her new baby brother. I feel great (if a little tired) and can't believe how different this birth was to dd's.

MINNIE1 · 08/12/2005 09:37

O Honey well done and welcome to Luca Benjamin glad all went well for you.. LOL at you hands and knees in the car park... It really happened quick.

Now rest up hun and give Luca Benjamin a hugs hug and kiss from us..

Really haven't done much of anything today, quite tired and consequently having a lazy morning. Going out this afternoon to see my friend's 9day old little girl, so that should be fun

conqueen · 08/12/2005 18:15

Many congrats sweetheart ...

santageorgeiscomingtotown · 08/12/2005 22:18

Hope you have a good night SH. It must be lovely to be at home already so you can try to settle.

Bit teary and emotional earlier. I called DP to see when he would be home & he tells me he is having a drink in town. Is it wrong for me to be upset by this? I just considered as my supporter that he should be able to stay sober from at least 37 weeks so he can help me and at least drive if need be. Feel very let down but I guess the hormones aren't helping or the fact that everything is being squashed and I feel horrible
Oh well, bought myself a big bunch of flowers to cheer myself up and going to have a bath to ease my aches. Hopefully he will see why it worries me in the morning (I don't want to have to go to hospital in a cab!!).

Hope you late night ladies are all feeling OK.

Bonkerz, thankyou so much for the card. It's lovely to remember that it is a festive time of year & not just miserable grumpy preggie lady time
